Abstract
Quinazoline and quinazolinone derivatives piqued medicinal chemistry interest in developing novel drug candidates owing to their pharmacological potential. They are important chemicals for the synthesis of a variety of physiologically significant and pharmacologically useful molecules. Quinazoline and quinazolinone derivatives have anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, anticonvulsant, antiviral, and antimicrobial potential. The increased understanding of quinazoline and quinazolinone derivatives in biological activities provides opportunities for new medicinal products. The present review focuses on novel advances in the synthesis of these important scaffolds and other medicinal aspects involving drug design, structure-activity relationship, and action mechanisms of quinazoline and quinazolinone derivatives to help in the development of new quinazoline and quinazolinone derivatives.

Abstract
Microwave irradiation (MWI), as a unique, effective, sustainable, more economic, and greener source of energy compared to conventional heating, is applied in different organic transformations to result in the rapid formation of desired compounds due to thermal/kinetic effects. In this review, we try to underscore the applications of microwave irradiation (MWI) in the synthesis of quinazoline and quinazolinone derivatives that have been achieved and reported on in the last two decades.

Abstract
Due to special properties of ILs (ionic liquids) like their wide liquid range, good solvating ability, negligible vapour pressure, non-inflammability, environmentfriendly medium, high thermal stability, easy recycling and rate promoters etc. they are used in organic synthesis. Therefore, ionic liquids have attracted the attention of chemists and act as a catalyst and reaction medium in organic reaction with high activity. There is no doubt that ionic liquids have become a major subject of study for modern chemistry. More publications in the field have been observed each year, although there is some evidence that this is beginning to plateau at approximately 3500 papers each year. They have been the subject of several major reviews and books, dealing with different applications and aspects of their behavior. Highly efficient methods are explored for the preparation of six-membered two nitrogen-containing heterocycles with the application of IL as a catalyst and reaction medium from 1893 to 2018.

Abstract
(Ionic liquids) ILs have unique properties compared with conventional solvents, opening a wide range of application as solvents and catalysts. ILs' cytotoxicity extend their application in biomedicine by acting as antimicrobial and anticancer agents. This article reviews the current research advances of ILs' biomedical application from the following four aspects: solvents, catalysts, antimicrobial and anticancer agents. By introducing ILs' interesting structures and their corresponding unique properties, this review concludes the current state-of-art of ILs biomedical applications. We also try to point out the ILs issues and solutions for more potential applications in biomedicine.

Abstract
A small library of heterocycle-fused quinazolin-4-ones was prepared and evaluated as kinase inhibitors. The key step of the two-step process involves the environmental friendly thermolysis of N-ethoxycarbonyl-N'-(hetero) arylguanidines at 130 °C in water. The cyclization is fully regioselective. The most active molecules, 7-(2-hydroxyethylamino)- and 7-(3-hydroxypropylamino)-pyrazolo[4,3-f]quinazolin-9-ones, inhibit DYRK1A and CLK1 at submicromolar concentrations, indicating the potential interest of this new heterocycle in drug design.
