Abstract
AIM The aim of this study is to explore the extent of missed nursing care in Turkey and identify its predictors. DESIGN This was a descriptive, cross-sectional, multicentre study. METHODS A total of 477 nurses working in seven public hospitals participated in this study from March to July 2019. The survey included two components: a personal and professional characteristics data form and the MISSCARE survey. RESULTS The study revealed that emotional support, patient bathing and ambulation were the most frequently missed nursing care activities. An inadequate number of assistive personnel and staff, along with an unexpected increase in patient volume, were identified as the primary reasons for missed nursing care. Of the 21 missed nursing care activities, nine predictive models showed statistical significance (p < 0.05). Factors such as the type of unit, years of work experience, working hours, number of patients cared for in a shift and intention to leave the unit were found to be significant predictors of seven missed nursing care activities (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION This study found that numerous variables influence each care activity, which suggests the need to devise more targeted and specific strategies to minimize missed nursing care. Thorough investigation into the impact of these strategies on each care activity is essential.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has affected mental health and physical health negatively in some individuals. Examining perceived social support and post-traumatic growth (PTG) in COVID-19 patients could facilitate our understanding of how patients maintain their mental health.
AIM To examine the relationship between the level of perceived social support and PTG in COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospital.
METHODS This descriptive study was carried out between August and September 2022 with patients who were hospitalized due to COVID-19 in a university hospital in Erzurum and who were discharged at least 3 mo prior to the beginning of the study. The study was completed by 196 patients. Study data were collected face-to-face using a personal information form, multidimensional scale of perceived social support and PTG inventory.
RESULTS The total mean score of the multidimensional scale of perceived social support was 63.82 ± 15.72. The PTG inventory total mean score was 47.77 ± 19.85. In addition, a direct significant correlation was found between perceived social support in COVID-19 patients and PTG.
CONCLUSION The study results showed that perceived social support variables affected PTG significantly. Therefore, it is recommended for healthcare professionals to implement interventions to promote social support from healthcare professionals and the patient’s family and friends. Considering the negative effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is very important and necessary to implement effective public health interventions to promote PTG to reduce mental health problems.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sleep breathing, one of the basic human needs, is a physiological need that affects cardiac functions, body temperature, daily vitality, muscle tone, hormone secretion, blood pressure, and many more. In the international literature, studies reported that patients have had sleep problems in the hospital since the 1990s, but no measurement tool has been developed to determine the causes of hospital-acquired insomnia in individuals. These findings suggest that sleep remains in the background compared to activities such as nutrition and breathing. Although patients generally experience hospital-acquired sleep problems, there is no measurement tool to determine hospital-acquired sleep problems. These features show the originality of the research.
AIM To develop a measurement tool to determine the sleep problems experienced by patients in the hospital.
METHODS A personal information form, hospital-acquired insomnia scale (HAIS), and insomnia severity index (ISI) were used to collect research data. The study population consisted of patients hospitalized in the internal and surgical clinics of a research hospital in Turkey between December 2021 and March 2022. The sample consisted of 64 patients in the pilot application stage and 223 patients in the main application stage. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) analyses were performed using the SPSS 20 package program and the analysis of moment structure (AMOS) package program. Equivalent forms method used.
RESULTS The HAIS consisted of 18 items and 5 subscales. The Cronbach alpha values of the subscales ranged between 0.672 and 0.842 and the Cronbach alpha value of the overall scale was 0.783. The scale explained 58.269% of the total variance. The items that constitute the factors were examined in terms of content integrity and named as physical environmental, psychological, safety, socioeconomic, and nutritional factors. CFA analysis of the 5-factor structure was performed in the AMOS package program. The fit indices of the obtained structure were examined. It was determined that the values obtained from the fit indices were sufficient. A significant correlation was determined between the HAIS and the ISI, which was used for the equivalent form method.
CONCLUSION The HAIS is a valid and reliable measurement tool for determining patients’ level of hospital-acquired insomnia. It is recommended to use this measurement tool to determine the insomnia problems of patients and to adapt it in other countries.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Intercultural sensitivity is accepting the existence of cultural differences and similarities between individuals without attributing a value to them. In order to provide individualized nursing care, it is required to train nurses who can respond to cultural needs of society, have cultural knowledge and skills regarding society and show a high intercultural sensitivity. PURPOSE The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between intercultural sensitivity and individualized care perception of nursing students, who will become a member of professional health discipline. METHOD The population of this study consisted of nursing students receiving education in a state university in Ağrı. The sample of the study consisted of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students who agreed to participate in the study and were not absent during the data collection process. In the study, the "Student Information Form", "Intercultural Sensitivity Scale" and "Individualized Care Scale" were used. The study was completed with 90 individuals. Statistical analyses were performed in the SPSS program using arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and correlation analysis. RESULTS Nursing students' Intercultural Sensitivity Scale total mean score was 89.10 ± 10.42 and their Individualized Care Scale mean score was 3.97 ± 0.59. It was determined that there was a weak, positive and statistically significant correlation between total mean score of Intercultural Sensitivity Scale and total mean score of Individualized Care Perception Scale among the nursing students (r = 0.274, p = 0.009). CONCLUSION It was determined that the correlation between nursing students' intercultural sensitivity and individualized care perception was weak, positive and statistically significant. It was found that as nursing students' intercultural sensitivity level increased, their individualized care perception also increased.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aims to compare the effect of question-answer and Kahoot method reinforcement on nursing students' success and motivation levels. MATERIALS AND METHODS This quasi-experiment study was carried out with 65 students studying at the nursing department at a state university in Turkey. The research data were obtained between November 2019 and February 2020. The study sample was divided into two groups as question-answer and Kahoot. In the first stage of the research, 8 h of training were given to all 65 students on the subject "Infection Control and Precautions," applying the method of teaching by presentation. Shortly after the training, the Kahoot group was reinforced on the Kahoot platform and the Question-answer group in PowerPoint, using the same questions for 30 min. In the second stage of the study, one day after the training, "Student Information Form" and "Instructional Materials Motivation Scale" were filled out, and "Achievement Test 1" was implemented. In the third stage, "Achievement Test 2" was executed two months after the training to test longer term knowledge retention. RESULTS The Kahoot group students had a score of 66.63 ± 11.02 in the "Achievement Test 1" and 67.76 ± 15.62 in the question-answer group. It was determined that the total score average of the students in the Kahoot group "Achievement Test 2" was 51.25 ± 13.42, and the students in the question-answer group were 47.03 ± 12.61. Accordingly, there was no statistically significant difference between the "Achievement Test 1" and "Achievement Test 2" mean scores of the students in the question-answer and Kahoot group (p > 0.05). The total score average of the question-answer group for "Instructional Materials Motivation Scale" was 127.88 ± 13.64, while the Kahoot group was 126.28 ± 16.88. It was determined that there was no statistically significant relationship between the "Achievement Test 1", "Achievement Test 2" and the "Instructional Materials Motivation Scale" total score and sub-dimensions of the students in the Question-Answer group and Kahoot group (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION In the study analyzing the effect of reinforcement by the question-answer or Kahoot method on nursing students' success and motivation levels, it was concluded that no method was superior.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate self-care agency and the factors affecting self-care agency in patients with psychiatric disorders. The population of the study comprised patients diagnosed with mental disorders at the clinics of psychiatry in Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital and Atatürk University Research Hospital. Patient information forms and the Self-Care Agency Scale were used to collect the study data. Psychiatric nurse collected the data from the patients face to face. This study determined that the average age of the patients was determined to be 32.19±1.11. The findings indicated that the mean self-care agency level of the patients was 79.3±23.2. It was also found that the differences between sex, educational status, socio-economic status, and self-care agency levels were statistically significant (p<0.05). In conclusion, the patients' self-care agency levels were determined to be mid-level. The findings suggest that people with mental disorders have difficulty identifying their need for self-care. Thus, periodic training programs are necessary to increase self-care levels and further research studies of this type should be done on larger groups.
