Abstract
Size plays a crucial role in chemistry and material science. Subnanometer polyoxometalate (POM) clusters have gained attention in various fields, but their use in thermoelectrics is still limited. To address this issue, we propose the POM clusters as an effective second phase to enhance the thermoelectric properties of Bi0.4Sb1.6Te3. Thanks to their subnanometer size, POM clusters improve electrical transport behavior through the superposition of atomic orbitals and the interfacial scattering effect. Furthermore, their ultrasmall size strongly reduces thermal conductivity. Consequently, the introduction of a mere 0.1 mol % of POM into the Bi0.4Sb1.6Te3 matrix realizes a state-of-the-art zT value of 1.46 at 348 K, a 45% enhancement over Bi0.4Sb1.6Te3 (1.01), along with a maximum thermoelectric-conversion efficiency of the integrated module of 6.0%. The enhancement of carrier mobility and the suppression of thermal conduction achieved by introducing the subnanometer clusters hold promise for various applications, such as electronic devices and thermal management.

Abstract
Neuropeptide FF (NPFF) plays a critical role in various physiological processes through the activation of neuropeptide FF receptor 1 and 2 (NPFFR1 and NPFFR2). Numerous evidence has indicated that NPFF exhibits opposite opioid-modulating effects on opioid-induced analgesia after supraspinal and spinal administrations, while the detailed role of NPFFR1 and NPFFR2 remains unclear. In this study, we employed pharmacological and genetic inhibition of NPFFR to investigate the modulating roles of central NPFFR1 and NPFFR2 in opioid-induced analgesia and hyperalgesia, using a male mouse model of acute fentanyl-induced analgesia and secondary hyperalgesia. Our findings revealed that intrathecal (i.t.) injection of the nonselective NPFFR antagonist RF9 significantly enhanced fentanyl-induced analgesia, whereas intracerebroventricular (i.c.v.) injection did not show the same effect. Moreover, NPFFR2 deficient (npffr2-/-) mice exhibited stronger analgesic responses to fentanyl compared to wild type (WT) or NPFFR1 knockout (npffr1-/-) mice. Intrathecal injection of RF9 in npffr1-/- mice also significantly enhanced fentanyl-induced analgesia. These results indicate a crucial role of spinal NPFFR2 in the enhancement of opioid analgesia. Contrastingly, hyperalgesia induced by fentanyl was markedly reversed in npffr1-/- mice but remained unaffected in npffr2-/- mice. Similarly, i.c.v. injection of the selective NPFFR1 antagonist RF3286 effectively prevented fentanyl-induced hyperalgesia in WT or npffr2-/- mice. Notably, co-administration of i.c.v. RF3286 and i.t. RF9 augmented fentanyl-induced analgesia while reducing hyperalgesia. Collectively, these findings highlight the modulating effects of blocking spinal NPFFR2 and supraspinal NPFFR1 on fentanyl-induced analgesia and hyperalgesia, respectively, which shed a light on understanding the pharmacological function of NPFF system in future studies.

Abstract
BACKGROUND To estimate the long-term cost-effectiveness of once-weekly semaglutide versus sitagliptin as an add-on therapy for type 2 diabetes patients inadequately controlled on metformin in China, to better inform healthcare decision making. METHODS The Cardiff diabetes model which is a Monte Carlo micro-simulation model was used to project short-term effects of once-weekly semaglutide versus sitagliptin into long-term outcomes. Short-term data of patient profiles and treatment effects were derived from the 30-week SUSTAIN China trial, in which 868 type 2 diabetes patients with a mean age of 53.1 years inadequately controlled on metformin were randomized to receive once-weekly semaglutide 0.5 mg, once-weekly semaglutide 1 mg, or sitagliptin 100 mg. Costs and quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) were estimated from a healthcare system perspective at a discount rate of 5%. Univariate sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, and probabilistic sensitivity analysis were conducted to test the uncertainty. RESULTS Over patients' lifetime projections, patients in both once-weekly semaglutide 0.5 mg and 1 mg arms predicted less incidences of most vascular complications, mortality, and hypoglycemia, and lower total costs compared with those in sitagliptin arm. For an individual patient, compared with sitagliptin, once-weekly semaglutide 0.5 mg conferred a small QALY improvement of 0.08 and a lower cost of $5173, while once-weekly semaglutide 1 mg generated an incremental QALY benefit of 0.12 and a lower cost of $7142, as an add-on to metformin. Therefore, both doses of once-weekly semaglutide were considered dominant versus sitagliptin with more QALY benefits at lower costs. CONCLUSION Once-weekly semaglutide may represent a cost-effective add-on therapy alternative to sitagliptin for type 2 diabetes patients inadequately controlled on metformin in China.

Abstract
Compared with stem cells, exosomes as a kind of nanoscale carriers intrinsically loaded with diverse bioactive molecules, which had the advantages of high safety, small size, and ethical considerations in the treatment of myocardial infarction, but there are still problems such as impaired stability and rapid dissipation. Here, we introduce a bioengineered injectable hyaluronic acid hydrogel designed to optimize local delivery efficiency of trophoblast stem cells derived-exosomes. Its hyaluronan components adeptly emulates the composition and modulus of pericardial fluid, meanwhile preserving the bioactivity of nanoscale exosomes. Additionally, a meticulously designed hyperbranched polymeric cross-linker facilitates a gentle cross-linking process among hyaluronic acid molecules, with disulfide bonds in its molecular framework enhancing biodegradability and conferring a unique controlled release capability. This innovative hydrogel offers the added advantage of minimal invasiveness during administration into the pericardial space, greatly extending the retention of exosomes within the myocardial region. In vivo, this hydrogel has consistently demonstrated its efficacy in promoting cardiac recovery, inducing anti-fibrotic, anti-inflammatory, angiogenic, and anti-remodeling effects, ultimately leading to a substantial improvement in cardiac function. Furthermore, the implementation of single-cell RNA sequencing has elucidated that the pivotal mechanism underlying enhanced cardiac function primarily results from the promoted clearance of apoptotic cells by myocardial fibroblasts.

Abstract
Aim: This study aimed to develop biomimetic nanoparticles (NPs) of roflumilast (ROF) for attenuating myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (MI/R) injury. Materials & methods: We synthesized biomimetic ROF NPs and assembled ROF NPs in neutrophil and endothelial cell membranes (NE/ROF NPs). The physical properties of NE/ROF NPs were characterized and biological functions of NE/ROF NPs were tested in vitro. Targeting characteristics, therapeutic efficacy and safety of NE/ROF NPs were examined in mice model of MI/R. Results: NE/ROF NPs exhibited significant anti-inflammatory and antiadhesion effects. Meanwhile, they was effective in reducing MI/R injury in mice. Furthermore, NE/ROF NPs exhibited stronger targeting capabilities and demonstrated good safety. Conclusion: NE/ROF NPs may be a versatile biomimetic drug-delivery system for attenuating MI/R injury.

Abstract
Our previous study identified the potential of SEMA4B methylation level as a biomarker for hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] exposure. This study aimed to investigate the role of the SEMA4B gene in Cr(VI)-mediated malignant transformation of human bronchial epithelial (BEAS-2B) cells. In our population survey of workers, the geometric mean [95% confidence intervals (CIs)] of Cr in blood was 3.80 (0.42, 26.56) μg/L. Following treatment with various doses of Cr(VI), it was found that 0.5 μM had negligible effects on the cell viability of BEAS-2B cells. The expression of SEMA4B was observed to decrease in BEAS-2B cells after 7 days of treatment with 0.5 μM Cr(VI), and this downregulation continued with increasing passages of Cr(VI) treatment. Chronic exposure to 0.5 μM Cr(VI) enhanced the anchorage-independent growth ability of BEAS-2B cells. Furthermore, the use of a methylation inhibitor suppressed the Cr(VI)-mediated anchorage-independent growth in BEAS-2B cells. Considering that Cr levels exceeding 0.5 μM can be found in human blood due to occupational exposure, the results suggested a potential carcinogenic risk associated with occupational Cr(VI) exposure through the promotion of malignant transformation. The in vitro study further demonstrated that Cr(VI) exposure might inhibit the expression of the SEMA4B gene to promote the malignant transformation of BEAS-2B cells.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The effect of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors on cancer has yet to be fully elucidated. OBJECTIVE This systematic review and meta-analysis investigated the effects of SGLT2 inhibitors on cancer. METHODS We searched the PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov databases up to July 15, 2023, to identify eligible randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials that lasted at least ≥24 weeks. The primary outcome was the overall cancer incidence, and the secondary outcomes were the incidences of various types of cancer. We used the Mantel-Haenszel method, fixed effects model, risk ratio (RR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) to analyze dichotomous variables. Subgroup analysis was performed based on the SGLT2 inhibitor type, baseline conditions, and follow-up duration. All meta-analyses were performed using RevMan5.4.1 and Stata MP 16.0. RESULTS A total of 58 publications (59 trials) were included, comprising 113,909 participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus and/or chronic kidney disease and/or high cardiovascular risk and/or heart failure (SGLT2 inhibitor group, 63864; placebo group, 50045). Compared to the placebo SGLT2 inhibitors did not significantly increase the overall incidence of cancer (RR 1.01; 95% CI 0.94-1.08; p = 0.82). However, ertugliflozin did significantly increase the overall incidence of cancer (RR 1.29; 95% CI 1.01-1.64; p = 0.04). SGLT2 inhibitors did not increase the risks of bladder or breast cancer. However, dapagliflozin did significantly reduce the risk of bladder cancer by 47% (RR 0.53; 95% CI 0.35-0.81; p = 0.003). SGLT2 inhibitors had no significant effect on the risks of gastrointestinal, thyroid, skin, respiratory, prostate, uterine/endometrial, hepatic and pancreatic cancers. Dapagliflozin reduced the risk of respiratory cancer by 26% (RR 0.74; 95% CI 0.55-1.00; p = 0.05). SGLT2 inhibitors (particularly mediated by dapagliflozin and ertugliflozin but not statistically significant) were associated with a greater risk of renal cancer than the placebo (RR 1.39; 95% CI 1.04-1.87; p = 0.03). CONCLUSION SGLT2 inhibitors did not significantly increase the overall risk of cancer or the risks of bladder and breast cancers. However, the higher risk of renal cancer associated with SGLT2 inhibitors warrants concern.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the spatial heterogeneity of nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease (NTM-PD) in Shanghai. METHODS A population-based retrospective study was conducted using presumptive pulmonary tuberculosis surveillance data of Shanghai between 2010 and 2019. The study described the spatial distribution of NTM-PD notification rates, employing hierarchical Bayesian mapping for high-risk areas and the Getis-Ord Gi* statistic to identify hot spots and explore associated factors. RESULTS Of 1652 NTM-PD cases, the most common species was Mycobacterium kansasii complex (MKC) (41.9%), followed by Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) (27.1%) and Mycobacterium abscessus complex (MABC) (16.2%). MKC-PD patients were generally younger males with a higher incidence of pulmonary cavities, while MAC-PD patients were more often farmers or had a history of tuberculosis treatment. MKC-PD hot spots were primarily located in the areas alongside the Huangpu River, while MAC-PD hot spots were mainly in the western agricultural areas. Patients with MKC-PD and MAC-PD exhibited a higher risk of spatial clustering compared to those with MABC-PD. CONCLUSIONS Different types of NTM-PD exhibit distinct patterns of spatial clustering and are associated with various factors. These findings underscore the importance of environmental and host factors in the epidemic of NTM-PD.

Abstract
Introduction Acute inflammatory storm is a major cause of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury, with no effective treatment currently available. The excessive aggregation of neutrophils is correlated with an unfavorable prognosis in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients. Exosomes derived from mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC-Exo) have certain immunomodulatory potential and might be a therapeutic application. Therefore, we investigated the protective role of MSC-Exo in modulating neutrophil infiltration and formation of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) following myocardial I/R injury. Methods Exosomes were isolated from the supernatant of MSCs using a gradient centrifugation method. We used flow cytometry, histochemistry, and immunofluorescence to detect the changes of neutrophils post-intravenous MSC-Exo injection. Additionally, cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and thioflavin S experiments were applied to detect microvascular obstruction (MVO). The NLR family pyrin domain containing 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome was examined for mechanism exploration. Primary neutrophils were extracted for in vitro experiment. Antibody of Ly6G was given to depleting the neutrophils in mice for verification the effect of MSC-Exo. Finally, we analyzed the MiRNA sequence of MSC-Exo and verified it in vitro. Results MSC-Exo administration reduced neutrophil infiltration and NETs formation after myocardial I/R. MSC-Exo treatment also could attenuate the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome both in vivo and in vitro. At the same time, the infarction size and MVO following I/R injury were reduced by MSC-Exo. Moreover, systemic depletion of neutrophils partly negated the therapeutic effects of MSC-Exo. Up-regulation of miR-199 in neutrophils has been shown to decrease the expression of NETs formation after stimulation. Discussion Our results demonstrated that MSC-Exo mitigated myocardial I/R injury in mice by modulating neutrophil infiltration and NETs formation. This study provides novel insights into the potential therapeutic application of MSC-Exo for myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury.

Abstract
Objectives Trends in prevalence and treatments of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) remains to be documented, with frequent update of relevant guidelines. We aimed to characterize trends in prevalence of ASCVD, and risk factor control and medications among ASCVD adults. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional analysis of data from 55,081 adults in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES) 1999-2018. Results The age-standardized prevalence of ASCVD did not change significantly from 1999-2002 (7.9 %, 95 % CI 7.1 %-8.7 %) to 2015-2018 (7.5 %, CI 6.8 %-8.3 %) (P for trend =0.18), representing an estimated 19.9 million individuals with ASCVD in 2015-2018. The prevalence of premature ASCVD was 2.0 % (CI, 1.6 %-2.5 %). Over 60.0 % of ASCVD participants were at very-high risk. From 1999-2002 to 2015-2018, the percentage with lipid control (non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol <100 mg/dL) increased from 7.0 % (CI, 3.5 %-12.3 %) to 26.4 % (CI, 16.2 %-38.9 %). The percentage with blood-pressure control (<130/80 mmHg) increased from 51.2 % (CI, 41.0 %-61.3 %) in 1999-2002 to 57.2 % (CI, 48.4 %-65.6 %) in 2011-2014, but then declined to 52.8 % (CI, 44.4 %-81.3 %) in 2015-2018. The percentage with glycemic control (HbA1c <7.0 %) decreased from 95.0 % (CI, 90.2 %-97.9 %) to 84.0 % (CI, 75.9 %-90.3 %). The percentage who achieved all 3 targets was 18.6 % (CI, 8.2 %-33.8 %) in 2015-2018. The percentage of ASCVD participants who were taking statins increased from 1999-2002 to 2011-2014, but then leveled off. Approximately 60 % of individuals with ASCVD and less than 40 % of those with premature ASCVD were taking statins in 2015-2018. The utilization of blood-pressure-lowering drugs remained largely constant over time, whereas the use of glucose-lowering drugs increased. Conclusions Based on NHANES data from US adults, the estimated prevalence of ASCVD remained relatively stable between 1999 and 2018. Substantial undertreatment with stains was found in individuals with ASCVD, and the percentage achieving optimal lipid control was low.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Platelet activation and thrombus formation play critical roles in the pathogenesis of myocardial infarction (MI). In addition to their role in energy production, platelet mitochondria also regulate cellular functions related to apoptosis, oxidative stress, and inflammation. Epigenetic modifications of platelet mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) may influence platelet function and are believed to be an important factor in MI. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the differences in platelet mtDNA methylation levels between MI patients and controls. METHODS The present study utilized propensity score matching to generate 45 multivariate matched apparently healthy controls for 45 patients with newly-onset acute MI. Platelet mtDNA methylation levels were assessed through bisulfite-PCR pyrosequencing and compared between the two groups, with further adjustments made in the sensitivity analysis. RESULTS Among the measured mitochondrial genes (MT-COX1, MT-COX2, MT-COX3, MT-ND5, MT-ATP6 and tRNA_Leu), patients with MI exhibited statistically significant differences in mtDNA methylation levels as compared to matched controls. Specifically, higher levels of mtDNA methylation were observed in MT-COX1, MT-COX3, and tRNA_Leu, while a lower level was observed in MT-ATP6 (all p < 0.0001). These results remained robust in the sensitivity analysis. CONCLUSION Our study demonstrated significant variations in platelet mtDNA methylation levels between patients with MI and controls. Platelet mtDNA methylation may serve as a novel biomarker for MI. This observation also provided some insights into the etiology of MI.

Abstract
Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-based cardiac patches are envisioned to be a promising treatment option for patients with myocardial infarction. However, their therapeutic efficacy and duration are hampered due to their limited retention on the epicardium. We engineered a scaffold-free MSC sheet with an inherent ability to migrate into the infarcted myocardium, a strategy enabled by actively establishing a sustained intracellular hypoxic environment through the endocytosis of our FDA-approved ferumoxytol. This iron oxide nanoparticle stabilized hypoxia-induced factor-1α, triggering upregulation of the CXC chemokine receptor and subsequent MSC chemotaxis. Thus, MSCs integrated into 2/3 depth of the left ventricular anterior wall in a rat model of acute myocardial infarction and persisted for at least 28 days. This led to spatiotemporal delivery of paracrine factors by MSCs, enhancing cardiac regeneration and function. Ferumoxytol also facilitated the noninvasive MRI tracking of implanted MSCs. Our approach introduces a strategy for mobilizing MSC migration, holding promise for rapid clinical translation in myocardial infarction treatment.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE With the change in drug-resistant pattern, MDR/RR-TB was faced with underlying changes in regimens. A multi-center, large-scale, retrospective study performed aims to provide a recommendation of drug selection on optimization of outcome for the patients. METHOD The study was conducted in six TB-specialized hospitals in China. Patients were included from 2018-2021 and followed up throughout the treatment. Using a multivarariable and propensity score-matched logistic regression analysis, we evaluated associations between outcomes and drug use, as well as clinical characteritics. RESULTS Of 3112 patients, 74.29% had treatment sucess, 14.52% lost to follow-up, 9.67% failure, and 1.51% died. Treatment success was positively associated with Bedaquiline(Bdq), Linezolid(Lzd), and Cycloserin(Cs). Capreomycin(Cm) increased the risk of unfavorable outcomes. other drugs such as Amikacin(Amk) and clofazimine had no significant effect on outcomes. If isolates were susceptible to fluoroquinolones(FQs), FQs could decrease the risk of unfavorable outcomes. CONCLUSIONS The recommendation order for the treatment of MDR/RR-TB is Bdq, Lzd, and Cs. FQs were decreased in use intensity. Injection drugs, whether Amk or Cm, are not recommended.

Abstract
The cyclic peptide c[d-Lys2, Asp5]-DN-9 has recently been identified as a multifunctional opioid/neuropeptide FF receptor agonist, displaying potent analgesic activity with reduced side effects. This study utilized Tyr-c[d-Lys-Gly-Phe-Asp]-d-Pro-NH2 (0), a cyclic hexapeptide derived from the opioid pharmacophore of c[d-Lys2, Asp5]-DN-9, as a chemical template. We designed, synthesized, and characterized 22 analogs of 0 with a single amino acid substitution to investigate its structure-activity relationship. Most of these cyclic hexapeptide analogs exhibited multifunctional activity at μ and δ opioid receptors (MOR and DOR, respectively) and produced antinociceptive effects following subcutaneous administration. The lead compound analog 15 showed potent agonistic activities at the MOR, κ opioid receptor (KOR), and DOR in vitro and produced a strong and long-lasting analgesic effect through peripheral MOR and KOR in the tail-flick test. Further biological evaluation identified that analog 15 did not cause significant side effects such as tolerance, withdrawal, or reward liability.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Serum tumor markers have not yet been developed for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of sinonasal inverted papilloma (SNIP), one of the most significant sinonasal tumors. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the diagnostic value of serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCCA) and cytokeratin fragment antigen 21-1 (CYFRA 21-1) for SNIP. METHODS Clinical data were obtained from 101, 56, and 116 patients with SNIP, sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma (SNSCC), and unilateral chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), respectively. Preoperative serum SCCA and CYFRA 21-1 levels were compared, and logistic regression analyses were performed to screen serum tumor markers, which may be used to diagnose SNIP. Diagnostic cut-off values were determined using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, and their diagnostic power was verified. RESULTS Serum SCCA and CYFRA 21-1 differentiated SNIP from CRS with the cut-off values of 1.97 ng/mL and 2.64 ng/mL and the areas under the ROC curves (AUC) of 0.895 and 0.766, respectively, and the AUC of the combination of the two markers was 0.909. CYFRA 21-1 differentiated SNIP with malignant transformation from that without malignant transformation with a cut-off value of 3.51 ng/mL and an AUC of 0.938. CYFRA 21-1 distinguished SNIP with malignant transformation from SNSCC with a cut-off value of 3.55 ng/mL and an AUC of 0.767. CONCLUSIONS This study provides novel potential diagnostic tools for SNIP by demonstrating the use of serum SCCA and CYFRA 21-1 in the diagnosis of SNIP.

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the extent to which the public engages in imitative behavior in their vaccination decisions for newly developed vaccines in the Chinese context. Given the crucial role of newly developed vaccines in preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic, a better understanding of how people make decisions about vaccination with new vaccines is important for overcoming vaccine hesitation and promoting widespread adoption of the vaccines. Our results indicate that the public's decision-making about the newly developed vaccine is influenced by a range of heuristics, including a privileged information heuristic, competence heuristic, and consensus heuristic. Specifically, individuals are more likely to imitate the vaccination behavior of those with privileged information, such as insiders, and those with perceived competence in the field, such as experts. Our findings also demonstrate the impact of majority influence, as the popularity of new vaccines leads to an increase in vaccination uptake through herd behavior. Our data highlights the importance of the first movers who are insiders with privileged information or experts with competence, as their behavior can significantly shape the vaccination decisions of others. Our study provides valuable insights into the complex interplay of heuristics and imitative behavior in vaccination decision-making for newly developed vaccines.

Abstract
Cerebral injury is closely associated with enhanced oxidative stress. A newly discovered secretory adipocytokine, intelectin-1 (ITLN-1), has been shown to have beneficial effects in neuroprotection in epidemiological studies. However, the specific molecular mechanism of ITLN-1 in protecting against cerebral oxidative stress needs further investigation. In this study, we hypothesize that ITLN-1 plays a protective role against oxidative stress injury through the SIRT1/PGC1-α signaling pathway in neuromatocytes. We used hydrogen peroxide (H2 O2 ) as a oxidative stress model to simulate oxidative stress injury. Then, small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) was used to knock down SIRT1 in N2a cells with or without ITLN overexpression, followed by H2 O2 -induced injury. We observed that H2 O2 injury significantly decreased the levels of ITLN-1, SIRT1, and PGC-1α. However, ITLN overexpression reversed H2 O2 -induced decline in cell viability and rise in apoptosis and intracellular ROS levels in N2a cells, while ITLN siRNA worsened the neurocyte injury. Furthermore, SIRT1 knockdown reversed the positive effect of ITLN overexpression on oxidative stress injury in N2a cells. Taken together, these findings suggest that ITLN-1 exerts neuroprotective effects against oxidative stress injury primarily through the SIRT1/PGC-1α axis.

Abstract
Background The incidence of osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) in people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is 10-100 times higher than that in the general population. However, the specific bone microstructure and extent of damage within the femoral head in PWH are still unclear. Methods Femoral head samples were obtained by total hip arthroplasty, micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) was employed to investigate the microstructure of trabecular bone across 4 representative regions within necrotic femoral heads, and quantitative analysis was performed. Results On general observation, different degrees of degenerative cartilage, fibrocartilage, hyperplastic bone, and exposed bone were presented alternately, with a "map-like" appearance. On micro-CT, compared with the normal and necrotic areas, the bone volume/tissue volume and bone mineral density of the sclerotic areas were significantly increased, the number of trabeculae was significantly increased, and the gap was smaller (P < .05). There was no significant difference in trabecular thickness among the groups (P < .05). Conclusions The systemic immune syndrome caused by HIV itself may interfere with the normal metabolism of bone, including osteoblasts and osteoclasts, and thus participate in HIV-related ONFH.

Abstract
AIM The association between composite dietary antioxidant index (CDAI) and hypertension remains unknown. Our study was to investigate the association of CDAI with hypertension in general adults. METHODS A total of 21 526 participants were enrolled from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES). The CDAI was calculated from the intake of six dietary antioxidants. Multivariable logistic regressions were performed to explore the associations between CDAI and the prevalence of hypertension. Non-linear correlations were explored using restricted cubic splines. And the inflection point was determined by the two-piecewise linear regression. RESULTS In the multivariate logistic regression model with full adjustment for confounding variables, the odds ratio (95% confidence interval) of CDAI associating with hypertension was 0.98 (0.97-1.00; P = .016). Besides, compared to the lowest quartile, the highest quartile of CDAI was associated with a lower risk of hypertension (0.81 [0.70-0.94]; P = .006). Furthermore, a linear association was found by restricted cubic spline, with 3.4 being the turning point. CONCLUSION Our study highlighted a negative linear association between CDAI and hypertension in general adults.

Abstract
Our previous study reported the multifunctional agonist for opioid and neuropeptide FF receptors DN-9, along with its cyclic peptide analogues c[D-Cys2, Cys5]-DN-9 and c[D-Lys2, Asp5]-DN-9. These analogues demonstrated potent antinociceptive effects with reduced opioid-related side effects. To develop more stable and effective analgesics, we designed, synthesized, and evaluated seven hydrocarbon-stapled cyclic peptides based on DN-9. In vitro calcium mobilization assays revealed that most of the stapled peptides, except 3, displayed multifunctional agonistic activities at opioid and neuropeptide FF receptors. Subcutaneous administration of all stapled peptides resulted in effective and long-lasting antinociceptive activities lasting up to 360 min. Among these stapled peptides, 1a and 1b emerged as the optimized compounds, producing potent central antinociception following subcutaneous, intracerebroventricular, and oral administrations. Additionally, subcutaneous administration of 1a and 1b caused nontolerance antinociception, with limited occurrence of constipation and addiction. Furthermore, 1a was selected as the final optimized compound due to its wider safety window compared to 1b.

Abstract
Since the discovery of graphene in 2004, two-dimensional (2D) materials have attracted widespread attention due to their excellent physical and chemical properties in the fields of energy, environment, catalysis, and optoelectronics. However, there are still many key problems in the process of practical application. To further promote the potential of 2D materials for practical applications, macroscopic assembly of 2D materials is crucial for the continued development of 2D materials, especially in the fields of energy storage and seawater desalination. Therefore, this review focuses on the latest progress and current status related to the macroscopic assembly of 2D materials, including 1D fibers, 2D films, and 3D architectures. In addition, the application of macroscopic bodies assembled based on 2D materials in the fields of energy storage and seawater desalination is also introduced. Finally, future directions for the macroscopic assembly of 2D materials and their applications are prospected.

Abstract
Bariatric surgery, as the most effective approach to treating obesity at present, encompasses a wide array of procedures. However, due to the significant anatomical changes to the gastrointestinal tract caused by most of these procedures, they are associated with certain risks of complications. In the pursuit of minimizing trauma, bariatric surgeons have begun exploring new surgeries in addition to traditional procedures. Gastric plication surgeries encompass various procedures such as gastric fundoplication, gastric greater curvature plication, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, combined gastric fundoplication with gastric greater curvature plication, and combined gastric fundoplication with sleeve gastrectomy, among others. The efficacy and risks of complications associated with these procedures fall between those of medical therapy and sleeve gastrectomy. Gastric fundoplication, functioning as an anti-reflux procedure, can also be integrated into weight loss surgical interventions to effectively address obesity-related gastroesophageal reflux disease in obese patients. Both gastric greater curvature plication and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty yield favorable weight loss outcomes. Beyond the impact of folding procedures on body mass, gastric plication surgeries can also be combined with other techniques. The combination of gastric fundoplication with sleeve gastrectomy or greater curvature plication can reduce body mass and mitigate reflux, while the combination of greater curvature plication with gastric bypass and similar procedures can further enhance weight loss and metabolic improvements.

Abstract
Ethnic minority women experience disparities in mammography screening utilisation and breast cancer outcomes. This systematic review and meta-analysis synthesised multidomain and multilevel factors that intersect to influence the utilisation of mammography among ethnic minorities. A literature search was conducted in five databases (PubMed, Ovid MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, and PsycINFO) from inception to May 2022. Guided by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparity research framework, the retrieved data were synthesised using narrative summaries and meta-analyses. Among the 27 studies, most (n = 24) reported individual, interpersonal, and community factors in the health care system domain. In the sociocultural domain, interpersonal and societal (n = 8) factors, such as modesty and karma beliefs, were less frequently identified than individual (n = 20) factors in relation to acculturation. Only individual-level factors were reported for the biological and physical/built environment (e.g., rural residence) domains. In the behavioural domain, cancer screening behaviours had a high combined prediction ability (odds ratio = 18.23; I2 = 23%), whereas interpersonal (e.g., family obligations) and community (e.g., neighbourhood violence) factors discouraged mammography screening. Special focus should be given to ethnic minority women, especially those living in rural areas, those with considerable family obligations, and those who have suffered from violence and other life pressures, to increase their access to mammography services. Multidomain and multilevel efforts, culturally appropriate strategies, and equity-advancing policies such as geographic access and insurance coverage would help to mitigate the ethnic disparities in mammography screening.

Abstract
PURPOSE The function of B cells in papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is controversial. The role of B-cell-related tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) is still unclear. Whether B cells exert their anti-tumor effect through forming TLS in PTC needs further investigation. METHODS We detected the percentage of B cells in PTC tissues by multi-parameter flow cytometry. Paraffin-embedded tumor tissues of 125 PTC patients were collected and stained with Haematoxylin-Eosin (H&E) for inflammatory infiltration analysis in combination with clinical features. Multiplexed immunohistochemistry (mIHC) was performed to verify the TLSs in above inflammatory infiltration. Correlation of B cells and TLSs with prognosis was analyzed using the TCGA database. RESULTS We observed that PTC patients with higher expression of B lineage cell genes had improved survival and the percentage of B cells in the PTC tumor tissues was variable. Moreover, PTC tumor tissues with more B cells were surrounded by immune cell aggregates of varying sizes. We furtherly confirmed the immune cell aggregates as TLSs with different maturation stages. By analyzing PTC data from TCGA database, we found the maturation stages of TLSs were associated with genders and clinical stages among PTC patients. Moreover, patients with high TLSs survived longer and had a better prognosis. CONCLUSION B cells are associated with the existence of TLSs which have different maturation stages in PTC. Both B cells and TLSs are associated with the survival rate of PTC. These observations indicate that the anti-tumor effects of B cells in PTC are associated with TLSs formation.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Sepsis-induced cardiac injury is the leading cause of death in patients. Recent studies have reported that reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated ferroptosis and macrophage-induced inflammation are the two main key roles in the process of cardiac injury. The combination of ferroptosis and inflammation inhibition is a feasible strategy in the treatment of sepsis-induced cardiac injury. OBJECTIVES In the present study, ceria nanozyme coordination with curcumin (CeCH) was designed by a self-assembled method with human serum albumin (HSA) to inhibit ferroptosis and inflammation of sepsis-induced cardiac injury. METHODS AND RESULTS The formed CeCH obtained the superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like and catalase (CAT)-like activities from ceria nanozyme to scavenge ROS, which showed a protective effect on cardiomyocytes in vitro. Furthermore, it also showed ferroptosis inhibition to reverse cell death from RSL3-induced cardiomyocytes, denoted from curcumin. Due to the combination therapy of ceria nanozyme and curcumin, the formed CeCH NPs could also promote M2 macrophage polarization to reduce inflammation in vitro. In the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced sepsis model, the CeCH NPs could effectively inhibit ferroptosis, reverse inflammation, and reduce the release of pro-inflammatory factors, which markedly alleviated the myocardial injury and recover the cardiac function. CONCLUSION Overall, the simple self-assembled strategy with ceria nanozyme and curcumin showed a promising clinical application for sepsis-induced cardiac injury by inhibiting ferroptosis and inflammation. Abstract
Objective: To study the effect and mechanism of post-ischemic treatment of nalmefene in alleviating the lung ischemia-reperfusion injury by inhibiting ferroptosis through activation of the Sirt 1/Nrf 2/HO-1 axis. Methods: A total of 60 rats were randomly divided into six groups equally (n=10): the sham group, the model group(I/R), the nalmefene group, the nalmefene+EX527 group, the nalmefene+ML385 group, the nalmefene+Fe-citrate group (nalmefene+Fe group). The sham group without drug treatment was not treated with ischemia-reperfusion. The pulmonary ischemia-reperfusion model was established by occlusion of the left pulmonary hilum in the model group without drug treatment. After ischemic treatment, the nalmefene group was injected with nalmefene (15 μg/kg) via the tail vein at 5 minutes before reperfusion. The nalmefene+EX527 group, the nalmefene+ML385 group, and the nalmefene+Fe group were injected intraperitoneally with EX527 (5 mg/kg), ML385 (30 mg/kg), Fe-citrate(15 mg/kg), respectively, 2 h before moulding and then injected with nalmefene (15 μg/kg) via the tail vein at 5 minutes before reperfusion. All rats were sacrificed three hours after reperfusion, and the specimens from the upper lobe of the left lung tissue were preserved. The degree of lung tissue injury and the wet/dry weight ratio were assessed in each group of rats. Fe 2+, MDA, TNF-α, and IL-6 content, GSH activity and the expression levels of Sirt1, Nrf2, HO-1, ACSL4 and GPX4 were determined. Results: Compared with the sham group, the wet/dry weight ratio, lung tissue injury score, ACSL 4 expression level, Fe 2+, TNF-α, IL-6 and MDA content, Sirt 1, Nrf 2, HO-1 messenger RNA and protein expression levels were significantly increased (P<0.01), while GPX 4 expression level and GSH activity were significantly decreased in the model group (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, wet/dry weight ratio, lung tissue injury score, ACSL 4 expression level, Fe 2+, TNF-α, IL-6, and MDA content decreased significantly (P<0.01), Nrf 2, HO-1 messenger RNA and protein, GPX 4 expression, and GSH activity were significantly increased in the nalmefene group and the nalmefene+EX527 group (P<0.01). Sirt 1 messenger RNA and protein expression increased significantly in the nalmefene (P<0.01) and the nalmefene+EX527 groups (P>0.05). In the nalmefene+ML385 group, the wet/dry weight ratio, lung tissue injury score, TNF-α and IL-6 content were decreased significantly (P<0.01), while Sirt 1 messenger RNA and protein expression levels were significantly increased (P<0.01), but there were no significant changes in Nrf 2, HO-1 messenger RNA and protein expression levels, ACSL 4 and GPX 4 expression levels, Fe 2+, MDA content, and GSH activity (P>0.05). In the nalmefene+Fe group, wet/dry weight ratio, lung-injury score, TNF-α, IL-6, MDA content were decreased significantly (P<0.01), messenger RNA and protein expression levels of Sirt 1, Nrf 2, HO-1, and GSH activity were increased significantly (P<0.01), but there were no significant changes in Fe 2+content, ACSL 4 and GPX 4 expression levels (P>0.05). Compared with the nalmefene group, in the nalmefene+EX527 group, the nalmefene+ML385 group and the nalmefene+Fe group, wet/dry weight ratio, lung tissue damage score, ACSL 4 expression level, TNF-α, IL-6 and MDA content were significantly increased (P<0.01), the expression level of GPX 4 and GSH activity were significantly decreased (P<0.01). The expression levels of Sirt 1, Nrf 2, HO-1 messenger RNA and protein were significantly decreased in the nalmefene+EX527 group (P<0.01). The expression levels of Nrf 2, HO-1 messenger RNA and protein decreased significantly in the namemefene+ML385 group (P<0.01), but there was no significant change in Sirt 1 messenger RNA and protein expression level (P>0.05). Sirt 1, Nrf 2, HO-1 messenger RNA-protein expression levels did not change significantly in the nalmefene+Fe group (P>0.05). Conclusion: Post-ischemic treatment with nalmefene hydrochloride may alleviate pulmonary ischemia-reperfusion injury by inhibiting ferroptosis through activation of the Sirt 1/Nrf 2/HO-1 axis.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate and analyze the allocation status of oral health resources in Yunnan Province at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan, providing a scientific basis for the rational resource allocation and formulation regional oral health plan for government health administrative departments. Methods: With the method of general survey, a cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate the allocation of material and human resources of all kinds of stomatological medical institutions registered in the health administrative departments in Yunnan before January 1, 2020. The general situation of oral health resources was analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis. Results: There were 2 712 stomatological medical institutions in Yunnan, 634 public and 2 078 non-public included. The largest number was in Kunming (1 167) and the least in Diqing (19). There were 9 018 dental chairs in total, among which 2 584 in public and 6 434 in non-public. Kunming had the largest number of chairs (3 612) and Nujiang had the least (57). There were 702 oral and maxillofacial surgical beds, all of which were distributed in public. There were 15 148 stomatological personnel, including 3 667 in public and 11 481 in non-public. The average ratio of stomatologist to population was 1∶6 615. Dehong (1∶6 620) was close to this average level, while Kunming (1∶2 283) and Yuxi (1∶4 936) were lower than the average and the other 13 states (cities) were higher. The population ratio of licensed stomatologist was only 1∶9 110. The average ratio of stomatologist to nurses was 1∶0.94. Honghe (1∶1.05), Kunming (1∶1.00), Yuxi (1∶1.18) and Qujing (1∶0.94) was better than or reached the average level, while the other 13 states (cities) were lower than this average. And this ratio in public comprehensive medical institutions was only 1∶0.38. Conclusions: The distribution of oral health resources in Yunnan was unbalanced between public and non-public institutions and among states (cities), mainly distributed in economically developed states (cities) and non-public institutions. For the oral health in Yunnan Province, the workforce was insufficient and the structure was unreasonable, and the proportion of nurses was seriously insufficient in public comprehensive medical institutions.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The burden of Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) lung disease is increasing globally and treatment outcome is in general poor. Therapeutic drug monitoring has the potential to improve treatment outcome by ensuring adequate drug exposure. However, very limited population-based studies exist for MAC lung disease. This study aims to describe the distribution of drug exposure for key antimycobacterial drugs at population level, and to analyse them in relationship to treatment outcome in patients with MAC lung disease. METHODS AND ANALYSIS A prospective cohort aiming to include 100 adult patients diagnosed with and treated for MAC lung disease will be conducted in Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, China. Blood samples will be collected after 1 month MAC treatment for measurement of macrolides, rifamycin, ethambutol, amikacin and/or fluoroquinolones, using a validated liquid-chromatography tandem mass spectrometry method. Respiratory samples will be collected at inclusion and once every 3 months for mycobacterial culture until treatment completion. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) determination will be performed using a commercial broth microdilution plate. In addition to mycobacterial culture, disease severity and clinical improvement will be assessed from the perspective of lung function, radiological presentation and self-reported quality of life. Whole genome sequencing will be performed for any longitudinal isolates with significant change of MIC to explore the emergence of drug resistance-conferring mutations. The relationship between drug exposure and treatment outcome will be analysed and potential confounders will be considered for adjustment in multivariable models. Meanwhile, the associations between drug exposure in relation to MIC and markers of treatment response will be explored using Cox proportional hazards or binary logistic regression models, as appropriate. ETHICS AND DISSEMINATION This study has been approved by the ethics committee of Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital (No. K22-149Z). Written and oral informed consent will be obtained from all participants. Abstract
LMNA gene encodes lamin A/C protein which participates in the construction of nuclear lamina, the mutations of LMNA result in a wide variety of diseases known as laminopathies. LMNA-related dilated cardiomyopathy(LMNA-DCM) is one of the more common laminopathy which characterized by progressive heart failure and arrhythmia. However, the mutation features of LMNA-DCM are yet to be elucidated. Herein we described a dilated cardiomyopathy family carrying novel variant c.467G > C(p.Arg156Pro) of LMNA as heterozygous pathogenic variant identified by whole-exome sequencing. With the help of Alphafold2, we predicted mutant protein structure and found an interrupted α-helix region in lamin A/C. In the analysis of 49 confirmed pathogenic missense of laminopathies, Chi-square test showed the DCM phenotype was related to the α-helix region mutation (p < 0.017). After screening the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in both mice models and human patients in Gene Expression Omnibus database, we found the variation of α-helix-coding region in LMNA caused abnormal transcriptomic features in cell migration, collagen-containing extracellular matrix, and PI3K-Akt signaling pathway. Subsequently we constructed (TF)-mRNA-microRNA (miRNA) regulatory network and identified 7 key genes (FMOD, CYP1B1, CA3, F2RL1, HAPLIN1, SNAP91, and KANSL1) as potential biomarkers or therapeutic targets in LMNA-DCM patients.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) This study investigates the feasibility of using Xsight Diaphragm Tracking (XDT) for liver tumors located near or in the diaphragm during CyberKnife Synchrony Treatment. MATERIALS/METHODS Eight patients (46 fractions) with liver tumors located near or in the diaphragm were reviewed retrospectively. Prior to motion data analysis, baselines were flattened to remove the portions with significant changes and improve accuracy. To reduce the uncertainty about sudden irregular breathing, respiratory data were calculated as a rolling average. The overall tracking accuracy based on the patient-specific respiratory curve was evaluated using E2E testing with CIRS (18023-A) dynamic phantom. RESULTS Three main trajectories were observed in this work: Linearity (1/8), Linear radial type (6/8) and Hysteresis (1/1). The mean amplitude was 8.56±4.54 mm, 2.77±2.83 mm, and 4.23±3.92 mm for S-I, L-R, and A-P components. The linear trajectory patient had a more concentrated amplitude distribution. The baseline shifts were 5.88 mm (S-I), 2.53 mm (L-R), and 3.48 mm (A-P). Except for patient 2, all standard deviations of the center phase shift were less than 1 mm. The values of XDT correlation and prediction errors were 1.38±0.65 mm vs. 0.65±0.16 mm (S-I), 1.28±0.48 mm vs. 0.34±0.10 mm (L-R), and 0.96±0.32 mm vs. 0.22±0.072 mm (A-P), respectively. The strong positive correlations were amplitude vs. prediction error, SD of center phase vs. prediction error, and SD of center phase vs. amplitude. The median patient curve-based targeting accuracy was less than 1mm. Additionally, the mean target coverage for all patients with a 3 mm margin was 98.03±1.54%. CONCLUSION This study proved that the diaphragm could be used as a tracking surrogate for liver tumors located in or near the diaphragm instead of placing golden fiducial markers. A reduction in motion amplitude and respiration training were necessary during liver SABR treatment, along with respiration control and evaluation.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Considering the therapeutic toxicity, the question of how to administer adequate chemotherapy to synchronize Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) treatment strategy for maximizing the benefits of neoadjuvant therapy to improve prognosis is a challenging and debatable issue. This study explores the feasibility and theoretical advantages of the simultaneous implementation of split-course SBRT with systemic treatment. MATERIALS/METHODS We evaluated the effect of three irradiation regimens (conventional radiotherapy (C-R, 15×2 Gy, (D1-5, D8-12, D15-19)), continuous SBRT (C-S, 3×7 Gy, (D1-3)), split SBRT (S-S, 3×7 Gy, (D1, D10, D19)) in combination with systemic therapy (chemotherapy (gemcitabine), PD-1 inhibitor (Anti-mouse PD-1 antibody) and angiogenesis-targeting agent (Anlotinib)) on tumor growth and survival by using the immunologically active C57BL/6 bilateral subcutaneous model with different cancer cells. At different time points after treatment, we monitored changes in the tumor microenvironment and explored the possible mechanisms. RESULTS In the case of radiotherapy alone, we found similar tumor control in all groups but the best survival in the S-S group. When combined with systemic therapy, the S-S group has shown advantages in tumor control and survival. And the S-S combination group induced more CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocyte infiltration in the tumor, which had the highest number of tumor vessels and the smallest area of hypoxia. Tumor cell PD-L1 expression was increased after radiotherapy in all but the most elevated and persistent S-S combination treatment group. CD3+ T cells, CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells peaked at weeks 2-3 after treatment, and all remained at the highest level for 6 weeks in the S-S combination group. Meanwhile, PD-L1 expression was significantly higher in all tumors in the third week than in other groups. The most significant reduction in the hypoxic area and increase in perfusion level was observed in the S-S group in the third week. RNA sequencing analysis revealed that immune response-related pathways were upregulated on the irradiated and non-irradiated side, tumor proliferation and invasion on the non-irradiated side, and angiogenesis-related pathways were down-regulated in the fractionated SBRT combination treatment group. In both irradiated side and non-irradiated side tumor tissues where the abscopal effect was observed, immune response-related pathways were upregulated in the S-S group relative to the C-R group, and tumor proliferation and invasion and angiogenesis-related pathways were found to be downregulated in the non-irradiated side. CONCLUSION In preclinical models, the combination of split SBRT with systemic therapy has been shown to be more advantageous than conventional segmentation, possibly by affecting immune cell infiltration in the tumor microenvironment and reducing tumor hypoxia.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Brentuximab vedotin (BV) and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) had important roles in the treatment of relapse or refractory (R/R) Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). Treatment of refractory disease after BV and -/or ICIs remains a challenge. This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of radiotherapy for R/R HL after failure to BV or ICIs. MATERIALS/METHODS We retrospectively analyzed patients in two institutions with R/R HL who had failed after first-line therapy, and were refractory to BV or ICIs, and received radiotherapy (RT) thereafter. The overall response rate (ORR), duration of response (DOR), progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were analyzed. RESULTS A total of 19 patients were enrolled. First-line systemic therapy consisted of ABVD (84.2%), AVD + ICIs (10.5%) and BEACOPP (5.3%), respectively. After first-line therapy, 15 patients (78.9%) were refractory, and 4 patients (21.1%) relapsed. After diagnosis of R/R HL, 8 patients (42.1%) received BV, and 17 patients (89.5%) received ICIs. RT was delivered in all 19 patients who failed after BV or ICIs. In 16 efficacy-evaluable patients, the ORR and CR rate were 100% and 100%. The median DOR was 17.2 months (range, 7.9 to 46.7 months). 3 patients progressed at outside of the radiation field. The in-field-response rate was 100%. The 12-month PFS and OS were 84.4% and 100%, respectively. No patients were reported with sever adverse events. CONCLUSION This study concluded that radiotherapy was effective and safe for refractory HL after BV or ICIs. Further prospective studies were warranted.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Spatially fractionated radiation therapy (Lattice) delivers ablative doses to metastatic and/or unresectable tumors with a curative or palliative goal. Through different forms of three-dimensional focusing, lattice forms several spherical high-dose areas(vertices) within the tumor, to produce a more obvious peak-valley effect and limit exposure to surrounding normal tissue. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of patients with metastatic and/or bulky tumors treated with Lattice radiation. MATERIALS/METHODS Between April 2017 and February 2021, 76 patients with metastatic or bulky tumors treated with spatially-fractionated high-dose external beam radiation using the Lattice technique were included. A median dose of 15 Gy/1 fraction (range 10-45 Gy in 1/3 fractions) was delivered to the vertices in the gross tumor volumes (GTV). 46 patients were treated with Lattice radiation combined with conventional fractionated external irradiation, and 30 patients were treated with Lattice alone. Patients were evaluated for clinical response, survival, and toxicity. RESULTS A total of 76 patients with 85 sites were included in the analysis, 63 (82.9%) patients had metastatic diseases. Median GTV was 138.6cc (range 4.9-3784.1cc) in volume and 6.2 cm (range:2.3-21.4cm) in greatest axial diameter. 38 tumors were in the thorax, 13 abdomen/pelvis, 19 metastatic lymph nodes, 8 bone, 5 head and neck, and 2 extremities. The median follow-up was 11.6 months (range 1.27-57.37 months). At the time of analysis, 23 patients (29.9%) were alive, without the progression of disease. 90.7% of the deceased patients died of disease progression. Median overall survival (OS) was 11.4 months (95% CI: 8.4-17.6), the 1-year OS and cancer specific survival were 46.8% and 48.7% respectively. The disease control rate (DCR) was 91.8%, including 2.4% complete remission, 48.2% partial remission, and 41.2% stable disease. Symptomatic improvement was observed in 98.7% of patients. No mortality was associated with Lattice therapy. There was no treatment-associated acute or late grade 3+ toxicity. CONCLUSION Lattice radiation is feasible and well-tolerated in the treatment of metastatic and/or bulky diseases, and may provide a high DCR. In light of these preliminary results, it seems that this therapy may be a new paradigm for treating patients with advanced cancers.

Abstract
AIM To explore the value of quantitative image features of gadoxetic acid-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for predicting Gglypican-3 (GPC3) expression of single hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) ≤3 cm. MATERIALS AND METHODS One hundred and forty-nine patients with histopathologically confirmed HCC were included retrospectively. Quantitative image features and clinicopathological parameters were analysed. The significant predictors for GPC3 expression were identified using multivariate logistic regression analyses. Nomograms were constructed from the prediction model and the progression-free survival (PFS) rate was evaluated by the Kaplan-Meier method. RESULTS The tumour-to-liver signal intensity (SI) ratio on the hepatobiliary phase (HBP; odds ratio [OR] = 0.004; p=0.001), serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) > 20 ng/ml (OR=6.175; p<0.001), and non-smooth tumour margin (OR=4.866; p=0.002) were independent significant factors for GPC3 expression. When the three factors were combined, the diagnostic specificity was 97.7% (42/43). The nomogram based on the predictive model performed satisfactorily (C-index: 0.852). Kaplan-Meier curves showed that patients with GPC3-positive HCCs have lower PFS rates than patients with GPC3-negative HCCs (Log-rank test, p=0.006). CONCLUSION The tumour-to-liver SI ratio on the HBP combined with serum AFP >20 ng/ml and non-smooth tumour margin are potential predictive factors for GPC3 expression of small HCC ≤3cm. GPC3 expression is correlated with a poor prognosis in HCC patients.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) To fix uterocervical position, compensate uterocervical intrafraction motion, and thus improve the accuracy of dose delivery based on the robotic system for the treatment of locally advanced cervical cancer with stereotactic body radiotherapy boost. MATERIALS/METHODS CT images were acquired after robot arm implanted a fixator with fiducial markers into the cervix of pelvic phantom. The treatment plans were designed by contoured a simulated tumor lesion site. The fiducial markers position was obtained by real-time image guidance system and was registered with digitally reconstructed radiographs to calculate correlation error of six directions. The correlation error was delivered to the robotic arm to precisely adjust the position and posture of the fixator, and thus compensated uterocervical intrafraction movement through the interactive interface of the robotic system. The pressure sensor at the head of the fixator provided real-time feedback on the pressure value at the contact surface between the fixer and the cervix. The correlation error of six directions and the pressure value were extracted and analyzed from the log file. RESULTS The data from the log file indicated that the three translational direction correlation error of x, y and z were 0.19mm, 0.20mm and 0.10mm, respectively. The three rotational direction correlation error of roll, pitch and yaw were 0.25°, 0.21° and 0.23°, respectively. With the increase of the relative distance between cervix and pressure sensor, the mean value of pressure variation decreases gradually. When the relative distance is 0.5mm and 3mm, the mean value of pressure variation is approximately 76% and 32%, respectively. CONCLUSION The correlation accuracy of the robotic system meets the clinical requirements. The robot arm can fix and monitor the cervical motion in real time during radiotherapy. The robot system adjusts the position of the fixator to correct the uterocervical intrafraction motion error, which is feasible and has good clinical application prospect.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Patients with a history of hypertension have elevated inflammation and a worse prognosis after acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Regulatory T cells (Tregs) are reported to lose their immunosuppressive capacity under pathological conditions. However, whether hypertension leads to Treg dysfunction, thus accelerating myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, is still unknown. METHODS Studies were performed in hypertensive rats and mice with myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. The frequencies and phenotypes of Tregs were analyzed by flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry. Reconstruction Treg experiments were performed to evaluate the effect of Tregs on ischemia-reperfusion injury. Patients with AMI were enrolled to assess circulating Tregs, inflammatory cytokines, and cardiac function. RESULTS In this study, we found that hypertension leads to proinflammatory Th1 (T helper 1 cell)-like Treg subsets with compromised suppressive capacity. Reconstruction Treg experiments identified that dysfunctional Tregs induced by hypertension play a pathogenic role in the progression of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. In particular, we identified HDAC6 (histone deacetylase 6) as a central regulator in the perturbed Tregs. Clinical studies revealed that the hypertension-induced reduction in circulating Tregs strongly correlated with the higher occurrence rate of microvascular obstruction in AMI patients with hypertension. CONCLUSIONS Our study provided promising clues to explain the poor prognosis of hypertensive AMI patients due to alterations in Tregs. Targeting disturbed Tregs may be a new strategy to treat AMI patients with hypertension.

Abstract
Purpose Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury after myocardial infarction has always been a difficult problem in clinical practice. Endothelial cells and their secreted extracellular vesicles are closely related to inflammation, thrombosis formation, and other processes after injury. Meanwhile, low-molecular-weight gelators have shown great potential for nasal administration. This study aims to explore the therapeutic effects and significance of endothelial cell-derived extracellular vesicles combined with a hydrogel for nasal administration on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods We chose a gel system composed of a derivative of glutamine amide and benzaldehyde as the extracellular vesicle delivery vehicle. This hydrogel was combined with extracellular vesicles extracted from mouse aortic endothelial cells and administered multiple times intranasally in a mouse model of ischemia-reperfusion injury to the heart. The delivery efficiency of the extracellular vesicle-hydrogel combination was evaluated by flow cytometry and immunofluorescence. Echocardiography, TTC Evan's Blue and Masson's staining were used to assess mouse cardiac function, infarct area, and cardiac fibrosis level. Flow cytometry, ELISA, and immunofluorescence staining were used to investigate changes in mouse inflammatory cells, cytokines, and vascular neogenesis. Results The vesicles combined with the hydrogel have good absorption in the nasal cavity. The hydrogel combined with vesicles reduces the levels of pro-inflammatory Ly6C (high) monocytes/macrophages and neutrophils. It can also reduce the formation of microcirculation thrombi in the infarcted area, improve endothelial barrier function, and increase microvascular density in the injured area. As a result, the heart function of mice is improved and the infarct area is reduced. Conclusion We first demonstrated that the combination of extracellular vesicles and hydrogel has a better absorption efficiency in the nasal cavity, which can improve myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury by inhibiting inflammatory reactions and protecting endothelial function. Nasal administration of vesicles combined with hydrogel is a potential therapeutic direction.

Abstract
More than twenty years ago, multiferroic compounds combining in particular magnetism and ferroelectricity were rediscovered. Since then, BiFeO_{3} has emerged as the most outstanding multiferroic by combining at room temperature almost all the fundamental or applicative properties that may be desired: electroactive spin wave excitations called electromagnons, conductive domain walls, or a low band gap of interest for magnonic devices. All these properties have so far only been discontinuously strain engineered in thin films according to the lattice parameter imposed by the substrate. Here we explore the ferroelectricity and the dynamic magnetic response of BiFeO_{3} bulk under continuously tunable uniaxial strain. Using elasto-Raman spectroscopy, we show that the ferroelectric soft mode is strongly enhanced under tensile strain and driven by the volume preserving deformation at low strain. The magnonic response is entirely modified with low energy magnon modes being suppressed for tensile strain above pointing out a transition from a cycloid to an homogeneous magnetic state. Effective Hamiltonian calculations show that the ferroelectric and the antiferrodistortive modes compete in the tensile regime. In addition, the homogeneous antiferromagnetic state becomes more stable compared to the cycloidal state above a +2% tensile strain close to the experimental value. Finally, we reveal the ferroelectric and magnetic orders of BiFeO_{3} under uniaxial strain and how the tensile strain allows us to unlock and to modify in a differentiated way the polarization and the magnetic structure.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the utilization of cancer-related data from basic medical insurance databases in China, and promote the application of medical insurance data in cancer prevention and treatment. Methods: Database PubMed, Web of Science, Wanfang, and CNKI were used to select related research papers using data from basic medical insurance system in China published by December 2021. Descriptive analysis was conducted in terms of the number of publications, types of cancer, primary research contents and author affiliations. Results: A total of 65 papers were included in the study. The number of publications increased rapidly after 2016. The most studied cancer type was lung cancer, and healthcare costs were the most common research contents. Fujian, Beijing, and Anhui have made a better use of cancer-related medical insurance databases compared to other provincial regions. The accessibility of the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme data was limited due to the high regional barriers, while the accessibility of the urban basic medical insurance data was relatively high. The researchers from Peking University and Fudan University had higher utilization of basic medical insurance data compared with those from other institutions. Conclusions: The utilization of cancer-related data from basic medical insurance databases in China is limited because of poor accessibility, insufficient data sharing, and regional restrictions. Thus, it is urgent to improve data accessibility and promote the integration and utilization of regional medical insurance data.

Abstract
In April 2022, leaf rust disease of Parthenocissus semicordata was discovered in the urban greenbelt in Guangzhou city, China (23.06°N, 113.16°E). The disease incidence was 70% and disease severity was 75%. Chlorotic spots and red-brown necrotic flecks were present on the upper surface of infected leaves, and orange uredinia were distributed on the lower surface (Fig. 1 a-c). Two representative disease plants were collected as voucher specimens and dried, then deposited in Mycological Herbarium of the Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering (MHZU GR0413, MHZU GR0414). Microscopic examination of the pustules of the samples revealed the presence of uredial paraphyses and urediniospores (Fig.1 d-f). Uredial paraphyses were hyaline, incurved, length 20-25 μm and dorsal wall 4.5-8.5 μm thick. Urediniospores were subglobose to ovoid, 16-24.5 × 10.5-17 μm. The wall of the urediniospore was hyaline or pale yellow, echinulate, and 1.0-2.0 μm thick. Telial structures were not observed. The morphological characteristics of uredial paraphyses and urediniospores were consistent with Yoshitaka's description of Neophysopella vitis (Yoshitaka 2000). Ten uredinia were picked using a sterile tweezer and the FlaPure Plant DNA Extraction Kit (Genesand Biotech Co., Ltd) was used to extract genomic DNA. Primers ITS4-rust (5'-CAGATTACAAATTTGGGCT-3') /ITS 5u (5'-CAAGGTTTCTGTAGGTG-3') were used to amplify internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and Rust2inv (5'-GATGAAGAACACAGTGAAA-3') /LR6 (5'-CGCCAGTTCTGCTTACC-3') to amplify large subunit (LSU) rDNA regions (Zhao et al. 2021). The sequences were submitted to NCBI (ITS: OQ991182 OQ991183, LSU: OQ979612 OQ979613), and blastn analyses of ITS and LSU showed 99.81% and 99.84% identity with the sequences from N. vitis (ITS: OQ304336, LSU: OM420266), respectively, found in GenBank. ITS combined with LSU sequences from the current study and reference sequences from Zhao et al. (2021) were used to construct Maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian inference (BI) phylogenetic trees using CIPRES website. ML and BI phylogenetic trees showed that the sequences from the current study grouped with N. vitis, with bootstrap support and posterior probability of 98% and 1.0, respectively (Fig. 2). Morphological and molecular analyses confirmed that the rust fungus was N. vitis. In the pathogenicity test, urediniospores were picked from fresh diseased leaves with sterile tweezers, prepared into spore suspensions (1.0 × 106 urediniospores/ml), and sprayed on a one-week-old leaf from three healthy of potted plants of P. semicordata, while three other healthy leaves were sprayed with sterile water as control. Each treated leaf was wrapped in a plastic bag and incubated in the dark at 25℃ for 48 h after which plastic bags were removed and the plant were moved to a greenhouse at 25℃. At 15 days after inoculation, symptoms and the morphology of urediniospores were confirmed to be the same as those observed in the field collection and no symptoms or uredinia were observed in the control group (Fig.1 g, h). Yoshitaka first discovered leaf rust on P. semicordata caused by N. vitis in Nepal(Yoshitaka 2000). To our knowledge, this is the first report of N. vitis causing leaf rust on P. semicordata in China. P. semicordata is often used as an ornamental plant for exterior wall decoration in urban landscaping and court. The occurrence of this disease can lead to the decline of the P. semicordata leaves and the impairment of the plants aesthetically.

Abstract
High-rise building fires pose a serious threat to the lives and property safety of people. The lack of reliable and accurate positioning means is one of the main difficulties faced by rescuers. In the absence of prior knowledge of the high-rise building fire environment, the coverage deployment of mobile base stations is a challenging problem that has not received much attention in the literature. This paper studies the problem of the autonomous optimal deployment of base stations in high-rise building fire environments based on a UAV group. A novel problem formulation is proposed that solves the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) positioning problem in complex and unknown environments. The purpose of this paper is to realize the coverage and deployment of mobile base stations in complex and unknown fire environments. The NLOS positioning problem in the fire field environment is turned into the line-of-sight (LOS) positioning problem through the optimization algorithm. And there are more than three LOS base stations nearby at any point in the fire field. A control law which is formulated in a mathematically precise problem statement is developed that guarantees to meet mobile base stations' deployment goals and to avoid collision. Finally, the positioning accuracy of our method and that of the common method were compared under many different cases. The simulation result showed that the positioning error of a simulated firefighter in the fire field environment was improved from more than 10 m (the positioning error of the traditional method) to less than 1 m.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the association of different obesity measurement indexes on serum C-reactive protein (CRP) in Chinese adult women. Methods: The data were obtained from baseline and follow-up surveys of the urban Breast Cancer Screening Program in Shuangliu District, Chengdu. A total of 441 adult women were included in the study. A questionnaire survey, physical examination, and laboratory testing were conducted on the subjects. Multivariate logistic regression model, two-level mixed effects logistic regression model, and restricted cubic spline method were used to investigate the linear and nonlinear correlation between different obesity measurement indexes and serum CRP in adult women. Results: For every 1 unit increase in BMI, waist circumference (WC), and adiposity, the risk of elevated serum CRP or exacerbation of chronic low-grade inflammation in adult women increased by 16.5%, 5.0%, and 11.1% (P<0.05), respectively. Both BMI and adiposity were nonlinear correlated with serum CRP. Using BMI=24.0 kg/m2 as the reference point, serum CRP level increased with the increase of BMI when BMI >24.0 kg/m2. Using adiposity=30% as the reference point, serum CRP level increased with the increase of adiposity when adiposity >30%. Conclusions: Overall, obesity reflected by BMI had the strongest association with serum CRP in adult women, followed by body fat content reflected by adiposity, and central obesity reflected by WC had the weakest association with CRP. Adult women with BMI >24.0 kg/m2 or adiposity >30% are at high risk for obesity-related inflammatory manifestations.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the familial heritability of endometriosis and to compare the clinical characteristics of patients with or without a family history of endometriosis. Methods: From January 2020 to June 2022, 850 patients with endometriosis confirmed by laparotomy or laparoscopy in Peking University Third Hospital were included in this study. Clinical data were collected, family history was followed up, and the differences of clinical indicators between patients with and without family history of endometriosis were compared. Results: A total of 850 patients were enrolled, with an average age of (33.8±7.0) years old, 315 (37.1%, 315/850) patients in stage Ⅲ and 496 (58.4%, 496/850) patients in stage Ⅳ. There were 100 patients with family history of endometriosis, accounting for 11.8% (100/850). Most of the 113 relatives involved were mothers, daughters and sisters (76.1%, 86/113), 81.5% (22/27) of the second and third degree relatives were maternal relatives. The median ages of patients with and without family history of endometriosis were 30 and 33 years old respectively at the time of diagnosis. The unmarried rate of patients with family history was higher [42.0% (42/100) vs 26.3% (197/750)]. The percentage of dysmenorrhea patients with family history was higher [89.0% (89/100) vs 55.5% (416/750)]. The medians of dysmenorrhea score in patients with and without family history were 6 and 2, and the median durations of dysmenorrhea were 10 and 1 years. There were significant differences in age, marital status, percentage of dysmenorrhea, dysmenorrhea score and duration (all P<0.001). The median levels of serum cancer antigen (CA) 125 in patients with family history and patients without family history at the time of diagnosis were 57.5 and 46.9 kU/L respectively, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). However, there were no significant differences between the two groups in nationality, bady mass index, menarche age, menstrual cycle, menstrual period, menstrual volume, serum CA19-9 level, cyst location and size, stage, history of adverse pregnancy and childbirth, infertility, adenomyosis and deep infiltrating endometriosis (all P>0.05). By comparing the specific conditions of dysmenorrhea patients with and without family history of endometriosis, there were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of the age of onset of dysmenorrhea, duration of dysmenorrhea, primary and secondary dysmenorrhea, and progressive aggravation of dysmenorrhea (all P>0.05). The difference in the degree of dysmenorrhea in dysmenorrhea patients with family history of endometriosis was significant (P<0.001). Conclusions: The incidence of endometriosis has a familial tendency, and most of the involved relatives are the first degree relatives. Compared with patients without family history of endometriosis, endometriosis patients with family history are diagnosed at an earlier age, with higher percentage of dysmenorrhea, had more severe dysmenorrhea and higher serum CA125 level.

Abstract
The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, triglyceride-to-high-density-lipoprotein-cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) ratio, metabolic score for insulin resistance (METS-IR) and TyG with body mass index (TyG-BMI) have been proposed as indicators of insulin resistance (IR). This study aimed to explore the association between these IR surrogates and their longitudinal variation with the development of hyperuricemia in a middle-aged and older Chinese population. Data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) was used to identify 5269 participants aged ≥45 years. Logistic regression was used to assess the effect of IR surrogates and their variations on the risk of hyperuricemia. After four years of follow-up, 517 (9.81%) participants developed incident hyperuricemia. Increased baseline values of TyG, TG/HDL, METS-IR, and TyG-BMI were all significantly associated with higher risks of hyperuricemia. Compared to individuals with maintained low levels of IR surrogates, those with low-to-high and maintained high variation patterns had a significantly higher risk of hyperuricemia. These four IR surrogates have comparable predictive ability for hyperuricemia. This study provides evidence of the associations between IR and hyperuricemia. Early intervention among middle-aged and elderly Chinese individuals with high IR levels may effectively reduce the burden of hyperuricemia.

Abstract
Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is the major cause of heart failure and has a poor prognosis. The accumulating evidence points to an essential role of the inflammatory component in the process of DCM. Inhibitors of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) are widely used to treat heart failure patients due to their cardiac benefits. However, their role in DCM remains unclear. We used the doxorubicin (Dox)-induced DCM model for our study. The SGLT2 inhibitor dapagliflozin (Dapa) improved cardiac function in mice treated with doxorubicin and attenuated the activation of the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor family protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome pathway and the expression of inflammatory factors. In addition, dapagliflozin suppresses NLRP3 activation by decreasing p38-dependent toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) expression. In our study, dagliflozin improves cardiac function in DCM by inhibiting the activity of the NLRP3 inflammasome.

Abstract
This study aims to investigate how exercise-induced myocardial hypertrophy preconditioning affects cardiac fibroblasts in the context of myocardial fibrosis, a chronic disease that can cause cardiac arrhythmia and heart failure. Heart failure was induced in male C57BL/6 mice via Transverse aortic constriction, and some mice were given swimming exercise before surgery to test the effects of exercise-induced myocardial hypertrophy preconditioning on myocardial fibrosis. Myocardial tissue was evaluated for fibrosis, senescent cells, and apoptotic cells. Myocardial fibroblasts from rats were cultured and treated with norepinephrine to induce fibrosis which were then treated with si-Nrf2 and analyzed for markers of fibrosis, senescence, apoptosis, and cell proliferation. Exercise-induced myocardial hypertrophy preconditioning reduced myocardial fibrosis in mice, as shown by decreased mRNA expression levels of fibrosis-related indicators and increased cell senescence. In vitro data indicated that norepinephrine (NE) treatment increased fibrosis-related markers and reduced apoptotic and senescent cells, and this effect was reversed by pre-conditioning in PRE+NE group. Preconditioning activated Nrf2 and downstream signaling genes, promoting premature senescence in cardiac fibroblasts and tissues isolated from preconditioned mice. Moreover, Nrf2 knockdown reversed proapoptotic effects, restored cell proliferation, reduced senescence-related protein expression, and increased oxidative stress markers and fibrosis-related genes, indicating Nrf2's crucial role in regulating oxidative stress response of cardiac fibroblasts. Exercise-induced myocardial hypertrophy preconditioning improves myocardial fibrosis which is Nrf2-dependent, indicating the protective effect of hypertrophy preconditioning. These findings may contribute to the development of therapeutic interventions to prevent or treat myocardial fibrosis.

Abstract
Adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs) have promising effects on nerve repair due to the differentiation ability to neural cells. Ghrelin has been shown to promote the neural differentiation of ADSCs. This work was designed to explore its underlying mechanism. Herein, we found high expression of LNX2 in ADSCs after neuronal differentiation. Knockdown of LNX2 might block neuronal differentiation of ADSCs, as evidenced by the decreased number of neural-like cells and dendrites per cell, and the reduced expressions of neural markers (including β-Tubulin III, Nestin, and MAP2). We also demonstrated that LNX2 silencing suppressed the nuclear translocation of β-catenin in differentiated ADSCs. Luciferase reporter assay indicated that LNX2 inhibited wnt/β-catenin pathway by reducing its transcriptional activity. In addition, results showed that LNX2 expression was increased by ghrelin, and its inhibition diminished the effects of ghrelin on neuronal differentiation. Altogether, the results suggest that LNX2 is involved in the role of ghrelin to facilitate neuronal differentiation of ADSCs.
