Abstract
Phytochemical investigation on the fruiting bodies of the medicinal fungus Ganoderma lingzhi led to the isolation of a new norsteroid, namely ganonorsterone A (1), together with one known steroid, cyathisterol (2). The structure and absolute configuration of compound 1 were assigned by extensive analysis of MS, NMR data, and quantum-chemical calculations including electronic circular dichroism (ECD) and calculated 13C NMR-DP4+ analysis. Bioassay results showed that compound 1 displayed moderate inhibition on NO production in RAW 264.7 macrophages.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Locally increased IgE levels plays a pathologic role in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate whether Staphylococcus aureus could induce aberrant IgE synthesis in CRSwNP and the potential mechanisms involved. METHODS Total IgE, IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13 concentrations in the supernatants of the cultures stimulated with S aureus lysate were assessed by ELISA. S aureus-induced cellular responses were investigated by single-cell RNA sequencing. Flow cytometry and quantitative reverse transcription PCR were used to analyze B-cell subsets and stimulated cell ε-germline transcript expression, respectively. IgE-positive B-cell and germinal center localization were assessed by immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. RESULTS S aureus lysate induced IgE production in the supernatants of nasal polyp (NP) tissues but not in those of healthy nasal mucosa. Moreover, IgE levels increased from days 2 to 4 after stimulation, paralleling the enhanced ε-germline transcript, IL-5, and IL-13 expression. Single-cell RNA sequencing revealed that there were increased IL-5 and IL-13 in group 2 innate lymphoid cells and identified a clonal overlap between unstimulated memory B cells and S aureus-stimulated plasma cells. The enriched IgE within NPs was mainly produced by IgE-negative memory B cells. Cellular evidence indicated that the IgE memory response to S aureus might also exist in the peripheral blood of CRSwNP patients. The S aureus-induced IgE memory response was associated with elevated IgE levels in NPs, asthma, and postoperative CRSwNP recurrence. CONCLUSIONS S aureus induced an IgE response via IgE-negative memory B cells in CRSwNP patients, possibly contributing to CRSwNP development.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES While the health promoting effects of green tea polyphenols have been identi-fied among adult, research on children is scarce probably due to safety concerns about caffeine. This study aims to evaluate the safety of decaffeinated green tea polyphenols (DGTP) supplementation in girls with obesity and lay the foundation for its application in children population. METHODS AND STUDY DESIGN This 12-week randomized, double-blinded, parallel-controlled trial was performed among 62 girls with obesity aged 6 to 10 years old. Participants were allocated to take 400 mg/d DGTP (DGTP group, n = 31) or isodose placebo (Control group, n = 31) at random. Anthropometric measurements and biochemical parameters including hepatic and renal function indicators, serum minerals concentrations, and routine blood parameters, were measured at baseline and the end of this trial. DGTP intake diary was required for each participant to record any abnormal reactions. RESULTS After the 12-week supplementation, compared to Control group, the uric acid concentration in DGTP group showed a significant decrease (-48.0 ± 83.2 vs -0.01 ± 69.1, μmol/L), within the normal range. Regarding other biochemical indicators, there were no significant differences in changed values between the two groups. Throughout the trial, no adverse effects were reported in either group. CONCLUSIONS This study indicated that the supplementation of 400 mg/d DGTP for 12 weeks had no adverse health effects in girls with obesity, providing evidence for the DGTP adoption in children research.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hypertrophic scars, an abnormal wound-healing response to burn injuries, are characterized by massive fibroblast proliferation and excessive deposition of extracellular matrix and collagen. 5-aminolevulinic acid-based photodynamic therapy (ALA-PDT) is a promising therapy for hypertrophic scar, details of the mechanisms remain to be elucidated. In this study, we aimed to investigate the molecular mechanisms involved in ALA-PDT against hypertrophic scar fibroblasts. METHODS The morphologies of hypertrophic scar fibroblasts (HSFs) treated with ALA-PDT were observed under a light microscopy. The viability of HSFs was detected using the CCK-8 assay. HSFs-populated collagen gel contraction assays were conducted to examine the fibroblast contractility and the cytotoxicity of HSFs in 3D collagen tissues were observed using confocal microscopy. The effect of ALA-PDT on TGF-β1/Smad2/3/4 signaling pathway activation and effector gene expression were verified by immunoprecipitation, western blot and real-time quantitative PCR analysis. RESULTS We observed significant changes in cell morphology after ALA-PDT treatment of HSFs. As ALA concentration and light dose increased, the viability of HSFs significantly decreased. ALA-PDT can significantly alleviate the contractile capacity and promote the death of HSFs induced by TGF-β1 treatment in a three-dimensional collagen culture model. TGF-β1 treatment of HSFs can significantly induce phosphorylation of Smad2/3 (p-Smad2/3) in whole cells, as well as p-Smad2/3 and Smad4 proteins into the nucleus and increase the mRNA levels of collagen 1/3 and α-SMA. ALA-PDT hampers the TGF-β1-Smad2/3/4 signaling pathway activation by inducing K48-linked ubiquitination and degradation of Smad4. CONCLUSIONS Our results provide evidence that ALA-PDT can inhibit fibroblast contraction and promote cell death by inhibiting the activation of the TGF-β1 signaling pathway that mediates hypertrophic scar formation, which may be the basis for the efficacy of ALA-PDT in the treatment of hypertrophic scars.

Abstract
Neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS) is a common critical disease in neonates. Early diagnosis and timely treatment are crucial. Historically, X-ray imaging was the primary method for diagnosing NRDS. However, this method carries radiation exposure risks, making it unsuitable for dynamic lung condition monitoring. In addition, neonates who are critically ill require bedside imaging, but diagnostic delays are often unavoidable due to equipment transportation and positioning limitations. These challenges have been resolved with the introduction of lung ultrasound (LUS) in neonatal intensive care. The diagnostic efficacy and specificity of LUS for NRDS is superior to that of X-ray. The non-invasive, dynamic, and real-time benefits of LUS also allow for real-time monitoring of lung changes throughout treatment for NRDS, yielding important insights for guiding therapy. In this paper, we examine the ultrasonographic characteristics of NRDS and the recent progress in the application of ultrasound in the diagnosis and treatment of NRDS while aiming to promote wider adoption of this method.

Abstract
PURPOSE To evaluate the effect of previous orbital decompression on outcomes of rectus muscle recession surgery in patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy. METHODS This retrospective study enrolled 55 eyes of 33 patients treated in our hospital for restrictive strabismus caused by thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy. We performed muscle recession for the obviously restricted extraocular muscles, with 6 weeks of follow-up. Surgical outcomes were compared between the orbital decompression group (DG, n=15) and non-orbital decompression group (NDG, n=18). RESULTS A total of 33 patients with Graves' ophthalmopathy who underwent rectus muscle recession surgery were included. Of these, 15 patients had undergone orbital decompression prior to strabismus surgery, and 18 had not. The two groups did not differ in terms of the preoperative horizontal or vertical ocular deviation, degree of restriction of eye movement, degree of diplopia, or mean number of muscles that underwent surgery (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the preoperative horizontal or vertical ocular deviation, level of eye movement restriction, degree of diplopia and the success rate of the surgery (P>0.05). CONCLUSION Rectus muscle recession surgery in patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy during the quiescent period could improve the ocular deviation and diplopia, and orbital decompression performed before strabismus surgery had no significant effect on surgical technique or outcomes of rectus muscle recession surgery.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Although the success rate of resuscitation in preterm infants is increasing, the long length of hospital stay in preterm infants and the need for more invasive operations, coupled with the widespread use of empirical antibiotics, have increased the prevalence of fungal infections in preterm infants in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) year on year. OBJECTIVE The present study aims to explore the risk factors of invasive fungal infections (IFI) in preterm infants and to identify some prevention strategies. METHODS A total of 202 preterm infants with a gestational age of 26 weeks to 36+6 weeks and a birth weight of less than 2,000 g, admitted to our neonatal unit during the 5-year period from January 2014 to December 2018, were selected for the study. Among these preterm infants, six cases that developed fungal infections during hospitalization were enrolled as the study group, and the remaining 196 infants who did not develop fungal infections during hospitalization were the control group. The gestational age, length of hospital stay, duration of antibiotic therapy, duration of invasive mechanical ventilation, indwelling duration of the central venous catheter, and duration of intravenous nutrition of the two groups were compared and analyzed. RESULTS There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in the gestational age, length of hospital stay, and duration of antibiotic therapy. CONCLUSION A small gestational age, a lengthy hospital stay, and long-term use of broad-spectrum antibiotics are the high-risk factors for fungal infections in preterm infants. Medical and nursing measures to address the high-risk factors might reduce the incidence of fungal infections and improve the prognosis in preterm infants.

METHODS The quality articles for analysis indexed by the science core collection were obtained from the Web of Science database as of February 10, 2023.The descriptive, visual analysis and text mining were realized by CiteSpace and VOSviewer. RESULTS The research on big data in the nursing field has experienced steady growth over the past decade. A total of 45 core authors and 17 core journals around the world have contributed to this field. The author's keyword analysis has revealed five distinct clusters of research focus. These encompass machine/deep learning and artificial intelligence, natural language processing, big data analytics and data science, IoT and cloud computing, and the development of prediction models through data mining. Furthermore, a comparative examination was conducted with data spanning from 1980 to 2016, and an extended analysis was performed covering the years from 1980 to 2019. This bibliometric mapping comparison allowed for the identification of prevailing research trends and the pinpointing of potential future research hotspots within the field. CONCLUSIONS The fusion of data mining and nursing research has steadily advanced and become more refined over time. Technologically, it has expanded from initial natural language processing to encompass machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, and data mining approach that amalgamates multiple technologies. Professionally, it has progressed from addressing patient safety and pressure ulcers to encompassing chronic diseases, critical care, emergency response, community and nursing home settings, and specific diseases (Cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, stroke, etc.). The convergence of IoT, cloud computing, fog computing, and big data processing has opened new avenues for research in geriatric nursing management and community care. However, a global imbalance exists in utilizing big data in nursing research, emphasizing the need to enhance data science literacy among clinical staff worldwide to advance this field. CLINICAL RELEVANCE This study focused on the thematic trends and evolution of research on the big data in nursing research. Moreover, this study may contribute to the understanding of researchers, journals, and countries around the world and generate the possible collaborations of them to promote the development of big data in nursing science.

Abstract
It is well-established that beige/brown adipose tissue can dissipate stored energy through thermogenesis; hence, the browning of white adipocytes (WAT) has garnered significant interest in contemporary research. Our preceding investigations have identified a marked downregulation of miR-889-3p concurrent with the natural maturation of brown adipose tissue. However, the specific role and underlying molecular mechanisms of miR-889-3p in the browning process of white adipose tissue warrant further elucidation. In this research, we initially delved into the potential role of miR-889-3p in preadipocyte growth via flow cytometry and CCK-8 assay, revealing that miR-889-3p can stimulate preadipocyte growth. To validate the potential contribution of miR-889-3p in the browning process of white adipose tissue, we established an in vitro rabbit white adipocyte browning induction, which exhibited a significant upregulation of miR-889-3p during the browning process. RT-qPCR and Western blot analysis indicated that miR-889-3p overexpression significantly amplified the mRNA levels of UCP1, PRDM16, and CIDEA, as well as UCP1 protein levels. Furthermore, miR-889-3p overexpression fostered intracellular triglyceride accumulation. Conversely, the downregulation of miR-889-3p hindered the browning of rabbit preadipocytes. Subsequently, based on target gene prediction and luciferase reporter gene determination, we demonstrated that miR-889-3p directly targets the 3'-UTR region of SON. Lastly, we observed that inhibiting SON could facilitate the browning of rabbit preadipocytes. In conclusion, our findings suggest that miR-889-3p facilitates the browning process of white adipocyte precursors by specifically targeting the SON gene.

Abstract
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors. At the advanced stage of colorectal cancer, cancer cells migrate with the blood to the liver from the hepatic portal vein, eventually resulting in a portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT). To date, the progression of the early onset of PVTT [portal vein microthrombus (PVmT) induced by tumors] is unclear. Herein, we developed an on-chip PVmT model by loading the spheroid of colorectal cancer cells into the portal vein of a hepatic lobule chip (HLC). On the HLC, the progression of PVmT was presented, and early changes in metabolites of hepatic cells and in structures of hepatic plates and sinusoids induced by PVmT were analyzed. We replicated intrahepatic angiogenesis, thickened blood vessels, an increased number of hepatocytes, disordered hepatic plates, and decreased concentrations of biomarkers of hepatic cell functions in PVmT progression on a microfluidic chip for the first time. In addition, the combined therapy of thermo-ablation and chemo-drug for PVmT was preliminarily demonstrated. This study provides a promising method for understanding PVTT evolution and offers a valuable reference for PVTT therapy.

Abstract
Accurate structural information plays a crucial role in comprehending biological processes and designing drugs. Indeed, the remarkable precision of the AlphaFold2 has facilitated significant advancements in predicting molecular structures, encompassing antibodies and antigens. This breakthrough has paved the way for rational drug design, ushering in new possibilities in the field of pharmaceutical development. Within this study, performing analysis and humanization guided by the structures predicted by AlphaFold2. Notably, the resulting humanized antibody, h3D5-hIgG1, demonstrated exceptional binding affinity to the PD-L1 protein. The KD value of parental antibody 3D5-hIgG1 was increased by nearly 7 times after humanization. Both h3D5-hIgG1 and 3D5-hIgG1 bound to cells expressing human PD-L1 with EC50 values of 5.13 and 9.92nM, respectively. Humanization resulted in a twofold increase in the binding capacity of the antibody, with h3D5-hIgG1 exhibiting superior performance compared to the parental antibody 3D5-hIgG1. Furthermore, h3D5-hIgG1 promoted cytokine secretion of T cells, and significantly suppressed MC38-hPD-L1 tumor growth. This study highlights the potential for artificial intelligence-assisted drug development, which is poised to become a prominent trend in the future.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Anaemia is a global public health problem among children. However, few studies have examined anaemia prevalence and risk factors among Chinese children of different ages, particularly in poor rural areas. This study investigated these two aspects among children aged 6 to 23 months in poor rural areas of China. METHODS This cross-sectional study included 1132 children aged 6 to 23 months in three prefectures of the Qinba Mountains area. A finger prick blood test for haemoglobin and anaemia was conducted, along with household surveys of socio-demographic characteristics, illness characteristics, and feeding practices. Multiple linear and logistic regression analyses were used to determine predictors of anaemia. RESULTS Overall, 42.6% of children in the study displayed anaemia. Children aged 6 to 11 months had the highest anaemia prevalence (53.6%). Anaemia risk factors differed among age-groups and throughout the overall sample. Bivariate and multivariable regression results showed that continued breastfeeding, any history of formula feeding, and consumption of iron-rich or iron-fortified foods were prominent risk factors for anaemia. However, continued breastfeeding and any history of formula feeding had the greatest impact across age-groups (both P<0.05). CONCLUSION Anaemia remains a severe public health problem among children aged 6 to 23 months in rural China. Healthy feeding practices, nutritional health knowledge, and nutrition improvement projects are needed to reduce the burden of anaemia among children in rural areas of China.

Abstract
Blasting constitutes an essential component of the mining and construction industries. However, the associated nuisances, particularly blast vibration, have emerged as significant concerns that pose threats to operational stability and the safety of the surrounding areas. Given the increasing emphasis on sustainability, ecological responsibility, safety, and geo-environmental practices, the impact of blast vibration has garnered heightened attention and scrutiny. Nevertheless, the field still lacks comprehensive phase analysis studies. Therefore, it is imperative to elucidate the research progress on blast vibration and discern its current frontiers of investigation. To address this need, this study employs bibliometric methods and the CiteSpace 6.1.R2 software to analyze 3093 papers from the Web of Science database. Through this comprehensive analysis, the study aims to chronicle the developmental trajectory, assess the present research status, and identify future trends in the field of blast vibration. The findings of this study reveal that research on "blasting vibration" is advancing rapidly, with the number of citations exhibiting a J-shaped growth curve over time. China emerges as the leading contributor to this research, followed by India, and the foremost institution in this field is Central South University in China. Cluster analysis identifies the effects of ground vibration, numerical simulation, blast load, blasting vibration and rockburst hazard as the most prominent research areas presently. The primary research directions in this domain revolve around the rock fragmentation, compressive strength, particle swarm optimization, and ann. The emergence of these keywords underscores a dynamic shift towards a more holistic and multidisciplinary approach in the field of blasting-induced ground vibration. Furthermore, this study provides a concise overview of blast vibration, discusses prediction techniques, and proposes measures for its control. Additionally, the discussion delves into the social significance of intelligent blasting systems within the context of artificial intelligence, aiming to address the hazards associated with blast-induced ground vibrations.

Abstract
Early growth has long-lasting associations with adult metabolic health. However, the association of adiposity with cardiometabolic risk factors in toddlers remains poorly understood. This study aimed to examine the association of maternal prenatal factors and child adiposity with child cardiometabolic risk factors among boys and girls aged 2 years. This was a birth cohort study of 549 term-born children in Shanghai, China, with follow-up data at the age of 2-years. Child anthropometric and adiposity measurements included weight, length, and skinfold thickness (triceps, subscapular, and abdominal). Child cardiometabolic risk factors included random morning plasma glucose, serum insulin, lipids, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure (SBP, DBP). At 2 years, overweight/obesity (weight-for-length z score, ZWFL > 2) was associated with 12.6 (95%CI 7.7, 17.4) mmHg higher SBP, and 7.9 (4.1, 11.8) mmHg higher DBP in boys, with similar results observed in girls. Maternal hypertensive disorders of pregnancy were associated with 3.0 (0.1, 5.8) higher SBP, 3.17 (0.90, 5.44) mmHg higher DBP, 0.24 (0.01,0.47) mmol/L higher plasma glucose, and 0.26 (0.01,0.51) mmol/L higher serum triglycerides after adjustment for child age, sex, and ZWFL. Maternal hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and child overweight/obesity were associated with higher SBP and DBP at the age of 2 years.

Structurally Diverse Phenolic Amides from the Fruits of Lycium barbarum with Potent α-Glucosidase, Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 Inhibitory, and PPAR-γ Agonistic Activities. Abstract
A total of nine new phenolic amides (1-9), including four pairs of enantiomeric mixtures (3-5 and 8), along with ten known analogues (10-19) were identified from the fruits of Lycium barbarum using bioassay-guided chromatographic fractionation. Their structures were elucidated by comprehensive spectroscopic and spectrometric analyses, chiral HPLC analyses, and quantum NMR, and electronic circular dichroism calculations. Compounds 5-7 are the first example of feruloyl tyramine dimers fused through a cyclobutane ring. The activity results indicated that compounds 1, 11, and 13-17 exhibited remarkable inhibition against α-glucosidase with IC50 of 1.11-33.53 μM, 5-150 times stronger than acarbose (IC50 = 169.78 μM). Meanwhile, compounds 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b, 13, and 14 exerted moderate agonistic activities for peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR-γ), with EC50 values of 10.09-44.26 μM. Especially,compound 14 also presented inhibitory activity on dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPPIV), with an IC50 value of 47.13 μM. Furthermore, the banding manner of compounds 14 and 17 with the active site of α-glucosidase, DPPIV, and PPAR-γ was explored by employing molecular docking analysis.

Abstract
A novel 3D stacked corrugated pore structure of polyaniline (PANI)/CoNiO2@activated wood-derived carbon (AWC) has been successfully constructed to prepare high-performance electrode materials for supercapacitors. AWC functions as a supporting framework that provides ample attachment sites for the loaded active materials. The CoNiO2 nanowire substrate, consisting of 3D stacked pores, not only serves as a template for subsequent PANI loading, but also acts as an effective buffer to mitigate the volume expansion of the PANI during ionic intercalation. The distinctive corrugated pore structure of PANI/CoNiO2@AWC facilitates electrolyte contact and significantly enhances the electrode material properties. The PANI/CoNiO2@AWC composite materials exhibit excellent performance (14.31F cm-2 at 5 mA cm-2) and superior capacitance retention (80% from 5 to 30 mA cm-2), owing to the synergistic effect among their components. Finally, PANI/CoNiO2@ AWC//reduced graphene oxide (rGO)@AWC asymmetric supercapacitor is assembled, which has a wide operating voltage (0 ∼ 1.8 V), high energy density (4.95 mWh cm-3 at 26.44 mW cm-3) and cycling stability (90.96% after 7000 cycles).

Abstract
Rockburst is one of the common geological hazards. It is of great significance to study the evaluation indexes and classification criteria of the bursting liability of hard rocks, which is important for the prediction and prevention of rockbursts in hard rocks. In this study, the evaluation of the rockburst tendency was conducted using two indoor non-energy indexes, namely the brittleness indicator (B2) and the strength decrease rate (SDR). The measuring methods of B and SDR as well as the classification criteria were analyzed. Firstly, the most rational calculation formulas for B and SDR were selected based on previous studies. The B2 equaled to the ratio between the difference and sum of uniaxial compressive strength and Brazilian tensile strength of rocks. The SDR was the average stress decrease rate of the post-peak stage in uniaxial compression tests and equaled the uniaxial compressive strength dividing the duration time of post-peak rock failure in uniaxial compression tests. Secondly, the uniaxial compression tests of different rock types were designed and carried out, and the change trend of B and SDR with the increase of loading rate in uniaxial compression tests were studied in detail. The results showed that after the loading rate was greater than 5 mm/min or 100 kN/min, the B value was affected, limited by the loading rate, while the SDR value was more affected by the strain rate. The displacement control, with a loading rate of 0.1-0.7 mm/min, was recommended for the measurement of B and SDR. The classification criteria of B2 and SDR were proposed, and four grades of rockburst tendency were defined for SDR and B2 according to the test results.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION This study explored the impact of online learning during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on asthenopia and vision impairment in students, with the aim of establishing a theoretical basis for preventive approaches to vision health. METHODS This balanced panel study enrolled students from western rural China. Participant information was collected before and during the COVID-19 pandemic via questionnaires administered at local vision care centres, along with clinical assessments of visual acuity. Paired t tests and fixed-effects models were used to analyse pandemic-related differences in visual status. RESULTS In total, 128 students were included (mean age before pandemic, 11.82 ± 1.46 years). The mean total screen time was 3.22 ± 2.90 hours per day during the pandemic, whereas it was 1.97 ± 1.90 hours per day in the pre-pandemic period (P<0.001). Asthenopia prevalence was 55% (71/128) during the pandemic, and the mean visual acuity was 0.81 ± 0.30 logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution; these findings indicated increasing vision impairment, compared with the pre-pandemic period (both P<0.001). Notably, asthenopia prevalence increased by two- to three-fold, compared with the pre-pandemic period. An increase in screen time while learning was associated with an increase in asthenopia prevalence (P=0.034). CONCLUSION During the COVID-19 pandemic, students spent more time on online classes, leading to worse visual acuity and vision health. Students in this study reported a significant increase in screen time, which was associated with increasing asthenopia prevalence and worse vision impairment. Further research is needed regarding the link between online classes and vision problems.

Abstract
A key challenge for electrochemical nitrogen reduction reactions (NRR) is the difficulty for conventional catalysts to achieve high currents at low H* coverage to produce appreciable NH3 . Herein, we specially designed an Au nanoparticle-embedded ZnSe photo-electrode to solve the problem. As-designed photo-electrode achieves excellent NRR performance with a high NH3 yield (12.2 μg cm-2 h-1 ) and Faradaic efficiency (27.3 %). Our work reveals that the unique plasmon resonance effect of embedded Au nanoparticles plays a key role in increasing catalytic current when the H* coverage is decreased. Moreover, we successfully established a correlation between H* coverage and NRR performance based on theoretical calculations and experimental observations. This work paves the path for the future design of catalytic materials to overcome the selectivity and yield challenge of sustainable NH3 production.

Abstract
Three new monomeric (1-3) and two newdimeric guaianolides (4 and 5), along with three known analogues (6-8) were isolated from the aerial part of Achillea alpina L. Compounds 1-3 were three novel 1,10-seco-guaianolides, while 4 and 5 were two novel 1,10-seco-guaianolides involved heterodimeric [4 + 2] adducts. The new structures were elucidated by analysis of spectroscopic data and quantum chemical calculations. All isolates were evaluated for their hypoglycemic activity with a glucose consumption model in palmitic acid (PA)-induced HepG2-insulin resistance (IR) cells, and compound 1 showed the most promising activity. A mechanistic study revealed that compound 1 appeared to mediate hypoglycemic activity via inhibition of the ROS/TXNIP/NLRP3/caspase-1 pathway.

Abstract
Two new β-carboline alkaloids, anemonilins A and B (1-2), and two known β-carboline alkaloids, flazine (3) and 4-(9H-β-carbolin-l-yl)-4-oxo-butyric acid (4), were isolated from the roots of Anemone altaica. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated with spectroscopic and spectrometric methods (1D and 2DNMR, HRESIMS). Compounds 2 and 4 significantly attenuated the growth inhibition induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in normal rat kidney tubule epithelioid (NRK52e) cells (p < 0.05 or p < 0.01). Furthermore, compound 2 significantly reduced the apoptosis (p < 0.05) and the caspase-3/9 expression of NRK52e cells induced by LPS.

Abstract
The Dandy-Walker malformation (DWM) is characterized by neuron dysregulation in embryonic development; however, the regulatory mechanisms associated with it are unclear. This study aimed to investigate the role of NADH dehydrogenase 1 alpha subcomplex 4 (NDUFA4) in regulating downstream signaling cascades and neuronal proliferation and apoptosis. Ndufa4 overexpression promoted the proliferation of neurons and inhibited their apoptosis in vitro, which underwent reverse regulation by the Ndufa4 short hairpin RNAs. Ndufa4-knockout (KO) mice showed abnormal histological alterations in the brain tissue, in addition to impaired spatial learning capacity and exploratory activity. Ndufa4 depletion altered the microRNA expressional profiles of the cerebellum: Ndufa4 inhibited miR-145a-5p expression both in the cerebellum and neurons. miR-145a-5p inhibited the proliferation of neurons and promoted their apoptosis. Ndufa4 promoted and miR-145a-5p inhibited the expression of human homer protein homolog 1 and cyclin D2 in neurons. Thus, Ndufa4 promotes the proliferation of neurons and inhibits their apoptosis by inhibiting miR-145a-5p, which directly targets and inhibits the untranslated regions of Homer1 and Ccnd2 expression.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Previous studies on the endotyping of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) that were based on inflammatory factors have broadened our understanding of the disease. However, the endotype of CRS combined with inflammatory and remodeling features has not yet been clearly elucidated. OBJECTIVE We sought to identify the endotypes of patients with CRS according to inflammatory and remodeling factors. METHODS Forty-eight inflammatory and remodeling factors in the nasal mucosal tissues of 128 CRS patients and 24 control subjects from northern China were analyzed by Luminex, ELISA, and ImmunoCAP. Sixteen factors were used to perform the cluster analysis. The characteristics of each cluster were analyzed using correlation analysis and validated by immunofluorescence staining. RESULTS Patients were classified into 5 clusters. Clusters 1 and 2 showed non-type 2 signatures with low biomarker concentrations, except for IL-19 and IL-27. Cluster 3 involved a low type 2 endotype with the highest expression of neutrophil factors, such as granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, IL-8, and myeloperoxidase, and remodeling factors, such as matrix metalloproteinases and fibronectin. Cluster 4 exhibited moderate type 2 inflammation. Cluster 5 exhibited high type 2 inflammation, which was associated with relatively higher levels of neutrophil and remodeling factors. The proportion of CRS with nasal polyps, asthma, allergies, anosmia, aspirin sensitivity, and the recurrence of CRS increased from clusters 1 to 5. CONCLUSION Diverse inflammatory mechanisms result in distinct CRS endotypes and remodeling profiles. The explicit differentiation and accurate description of these endotypes will guide targeted treatment decisions.

Abstract
In this study, immersion experiments were conducted on the geopolymer mortar (GPM) by using artificial seawater, and the effects of alkali equivalent (AE) and waterglass modulus (WGM) on the resistance of geopolymer mortar (GPM) to seawater immersion were analyzed. The test subjected 300 specimens to 270 days of artificial seawater immersion and periodic performance tests. Alkali equivalent (AE) (3-15%) and waterglass modulus (WGM) (1.0-1.8) were employed as influencing factors, and the mass loss and uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) were used as the performance evaluation indexes, combined with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to analyze the time-varying pattern of geopolymer mortar (GPM) performance with seawater immersion. The findings demonstrated a general trend of initially growing and then declining in the uniaxial compression strength (UCS) of geopolymer mortar (GPM) under seawater immersion. The resistance of geopolymer mortar (GPM) to seawater immersion decreased with both higher or lower alkali equivalent (AE), and the ideal range of alkali equivalent (AE) was 9-12%. The diffusion layer of the bilayer structure of the waterglass particle became thinner with an increase in waterglass modulus (WGM), which ultimately led to the reduction in the resistance of the geopolymer structure to seawater immersion. Additionally, a support vector regression (SVR) model was developed based on the experimental data to predict the uniaxial compression strength (UCS) of GPM under seawater immersion. The model performed better and was able to achieve accurate prediction within 1-2 months, and provided an accurate approach to predicting the strength of geopolymer materials in a practical offshore construction project.

Abstract
Phosphorus stress is one of the important factors restricting plant growth and development, and the microRNA (miRNA) family is involved in the regulation of the response to plant nutrient stress by repressing the expression of target genes at the post-transcriptional or translational level. miR399 is involved in the transportation of phosphate in multiple plants by improving tolerance to low Pi conditions. However, the effect of miR399 on the response of low Pi stress in rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) is unclear. The present study showed a significant increase in taproot length and lateral root number of plants overexpressing Bna-miR399c, while the biomass and Pi accumulation in shoots and roots increased, and the anthocyanin content decreased and chlorophyll content improved under low Pi stress. The results illustrate that Bna-miR399c could enhance the uptake and transportation of Pi in soil, thus making B. napus more tolerant to low Pi stress. Furthermore, we confirmed that BnPHO2 is one of the targets of Bna-miR399c, and the rejection of Pi in rapeseed seedlings increased due to the overexpression of BnPHO2. Hence, we suggest that miR399c-PHO2 module can effectively regulate the homeostasis of Pi in B. napus. Our study can also provide the theoretical basis for germplasm innovation and the design of intelligent crops with low nutrient input and high yield to achieve the dual objectives of income and yield increase and environmental protection in B. napus.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The partial oxygen pressure in the air decreases with increasing altitude. This study was designed to compare the pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2) among well full-term neonates at different altitudes during their first 2 h after birth and to establish cutoff values of SpO2 identifying hypoxemia between 30 and 120 min after birth. METHODS A multisite prospective cohort study was conducted at five participating hospitals from the Chinese High Altitude Neonatal Medicine Alliance. Healthy full-term infants were recruited and divided into four groups based on the altitude. Preductal SpO2 was recorded at 10 min, 10-30 min, and 30-120 min after birth. The 2.5th percentile of the SpO2 distribution range was considered as the cutoff for identifying hypoxemia at each altitude. RESULTS A total of 727 infants were eligible for analysis. The SpO2 of neonates at different altitudes increased with the time after birth. A higher altitude was associated with lower SpO2, especially Shangri-La (3,509 m) and Yushu (4,360 m). The cutoff SpO2 for identifying hypoxemia during 30-120 min after birth were 94% in Xishuangbanna (847 m), 92% in Kunming (1,983 m), 89% in Shangri-La (3,509 m), and 83% in Yushu (4,360 m). CONCLUSION An increase in altitude, especially Shangri-La (3,509 m) and Yushu (4,360 m), had a significant impact on SpO2 among healthy full-term neonates during their first 2 h of life. Establishing the cutoff value of SpO2 for identifying hypoxemia during the early postnatal period serves to optimize the oxygen therapy at different altitudes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Brain development is an extremely complex and precisely regulated process, with about one-third of genes expressed and precisely regulated during brain development. OBJECTIVE This study aims to explore the molecular mechanisms involved in brain development. METHODS We first established the expression profile of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and mRNAs in brain tissues of fetal mice at 12.5d, 14.5d and 16.5d through high-throughput sequencing. Second, the associated functions, pathways, and networks of the co-differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs were identified via Gene Ontology (GO), pathway analysis, and PPI network. After bioinformatic analysis and screening, 8 differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs with the same genetic origin were verified by RT-qPCR analysis in brain tissues of fetal mice at different developmental stages. RESULTS The data revealed that there were 972 co-differentially expressed lncRNAs and 992 codifferentially expressed mRNAs in brain tissues of fetal mice at 12.5d, 14.5d and 16.5d. And we discovered 125 differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs, which have the same genetic origin, in brain tissues of fetal mice at 12.5d, 14.5d and 16.5d through sequencing results and bioinformatics analysis. Besides, we proved that 8 lncRNAs, which have had the same genetic origin as differentially expressed mRNAs, were prominently downregulated, while their maternal genes were upregulated during brain development in fetal mice. CONCLUSION Our results preliminarily illustrated the differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs, both of which were derived from the same parent genes, during brain development in fetal mice, which suggests that alternative splicing of lncRNA exists during brain development. Besides, our study provides a perspective on critical genes for brain development, which might be the underlying therapeutic targets for developmental brain diseases in children.

Abstract
One new 6a,11a-dehydropterocarpan derivative, 6-O-methyl-anhydrotuberosin (1), one new 6a-hydroxypterocarpan, (6aR,11aR,11bR)-hydroxytuberosone (7), and seven known compounds including two 6a,11a-dehydropterocarpans (2 and 4), two coumestans (3 and 5), one isoflavonoid (6) and two other phenolic compounds (8 and 9) were isolated from the roots of Pueraria lobata. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated with spectroscopic and spectrometric methods (1 D and 2DNMR, HRESIMS). Compounds 1, 2, 4-5 showed potent LSD1 inhibitory activities with IC50 values ranging from 1.73 to 4.99 μM. Furthermore, compound 2 showed potent cytotoxicity against gastric cancer cell lines MGC-803 and BGC-823, and lung cancer cell lines H1299 and H460.

Abstract
PURPOSE To determine the needs of informal caregivers during the long-term health management of minors who have undergone craniopharyngioma surgery. Design and methodology This is a qualitative and descriptive research study. Purposive sampling was used to select participants, and semi-structured interviews were conducted to explore the needs of 21 informal caregivers for postoperative minors. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the respondents were provided with the options of online video call or offline one-on-one interviews. Following this, a content analysis method was conducted. RESULTS Four themes and 14 sub-themes were extracted from the results of the study, including needs for relieving psychological stress (including psychological pressure on both minors and on caregivers); requirement for on-campus assistance (physical activity, eliminating verbal violence in schools, special education needs for child, healthcare services provided by school hospitals); demands for medical help (acquiring medical knowledge, need for medication management, convenience and reliable access to medical services, need for technological development, expectations of multidisciplinary cooperation, the necessity of health review reminders); and the desire for financial aid (charity platform assistance, inclination of government policy). CONCLUSIONS In China, informal caregivers of young patients with onset craniopharyngioma require both the multidisciplinary cooperation of medical institutions and the multi-departmental cooperation of society. Information and medical technology advancements may benefit families with young patients. Improving community hospitals' medical services and encouraging the practical use of online medical treatment and prescriptions are both necessary in the context of COVID-19. PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS By identifying the needs of informal caregivers, medical professionals are able to develop care plans and interventions aimed at reducing the burden of care for minors who have undergone craniopharyngioma surgery.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The brown adipose tissue (BAT) is a target for treating obesity. BAT losses thermogenic capacity and gains a "white adipose tissue-like" phenotype ("BAT whitening") under thermoneutral environments, which is a potential factor causing a low curative effect in BAT-related obesity treatments. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) can act as competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNA) to mRNAs and function in various processes by sponging shared microRNAs (miRNAs). However, the roles of circRNA- and lncRNA-related ceRNA networks in regulating BAT whitening remain litter known. RESULTS In this study, BATs were collected from rabbits at day0 (D0), D15, D85, and 2 years (Y2). MiRNA-seq was performed to investigate miRNA changes during BAT whitening. Then, a combined analysis of circRNA-seq and whole-transcriptome sequencing was used for circRNA assembly and quantification during BAT whitening. Our data showed that 1187 miRNAs and 6204 circRNAs were expressed in the samples, and many of which were identified as significantly changed during BAT whitening. Target prediction showed that D0-selective miRNAs were significantly enriched in the Ras, MAPK, and PI3K-Akt signaling pathways, and Y2-selective miRNAs were predicted to be involved in cell proliferation. The cyclization of several circRNAs could form novel response elements of key thermogenesis miRNAs at the back-splicing junction (BSJ) sites, and in combination with a dual-luciferase reporter assay confirmed the binding between the BSJ site of novel_circ_0013792 and ocu-miR-378-5p. CircRNAs and lncRNAs have high cooperativity in sponging miRNAs during BAT whitening. Both circRNA-miRNA-mRNA and lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA triple networks were significantly involved in immune response-associated biological processes. The D15-selective circRNA might promote BAT whitening by increasing the expression of IDH2. The Y2-selective circRNA-related ceRNA network and lncRNA-related ceRNA network might regulate the formation of the WAT-like phenotype of BAT via MAPK and Ras signaling pathways, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Our work systematically revealed ceRNA networks during BAT whitening in rabbits and might provide new insight into BAT-based obesity treatments.

Abstract
Although straw mulching and nitrogen applications are extensively practiced in the agriculture sector, large uncertainties remain about their impacts on crop yields and especially the environment. The responses of summer maize yields, fertilizer use efficiency, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions including carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) in the North China Plain (NCP) to two straw management practices (S0: no straw and S1: straw mulching) and two nitrogen application rates (N1: 180 and N2: 210 kg N ha-1) were investigated in field tests in 2018, 2019, and 2020. The highest yields and partial factor productivity (PFP) were obtained by S1N1, followed by S1N2, S0N1, and S0N2. S1N2 had the highest CO2 emissions and greatest CH4 uptake, S0N1 had the lowest CO2 emissions, and S0N2 had the smallest CH4 uptake. The highest and lowest N2O emissions were found in S0N1 and S1N1, respectively. The S1N2 treatment, an extensively applied practice, had the greatest global warming potential (GWP), which was 70.3 % larger than S1N1 and two times more than S0N1 and S0N2. The largest GHG emission intensity (GHGI) of 19.4 was found in the S1N2 treatment, while the other three treatments, S0N1, S0N2, and S1N1, had a GHGI of 10.1, 10.7, and 10.7, respectively according to three tested results. In conclusion, S1N1 treatment achieved a better trade-off between crop yields and GHG emissions of summer maize in NCP.

Abstract
Four undescribed neolignans and three undescribed amide alkaloids, along with twelve known compounds, were isolated from the stems of Piper kadsura (Choisy) Ohwi. The structures of the new compounds were determined by spectroscopic analysis, quantum-chemical calculations, and Mo2(OAc)4-induced ECD analysis. The neuroprotective effects of these compounds against Aβ25-35-induced cell damage in PC12 cells were investigated, and eight compounds exhibited significant neuroprotective effects against Aβ25-35-induced PC12 cell damage, with the EC50 values of 3.06-29.3 μM. Three of these compounds were selected for further experiments, and they appear to reduce apoptosis and enhance autophagy against Aβ25-35-induced PC12 cell damage.

Abstract
Chemical investigation on the aerial part of Achillea alpina L. led to the isolation of twenty sesquiterpenoids. The structures of the undescribed achigermalides A-H were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis, including NMR, HRESIMS, UV and IR, and their absolute configurations were established by computational electronic circular dichroism (ECD) method. The X-ray crystal structure for 8α-angeloxy-1β,2β:4β,5β-diepoxy-10β-hydroxy-6βH,7αH,11βH-12,6α-guaianolide was reported for the first time. Glucose consumption was analyzed to investigate the effect of all compounds on palmitic acid (PA)-mediated insulin resistance (IR) in HepG2 cells, and achigermalides D-F, desacetylherbohde A, and 4E,10E-3-(2-methylbutyroyloxy)-germacra-4,10(1)-diene-12,6α-olide appreciably enhanced the glucose consumption at low concentrations of 1.56-6.25 μM. Moreover, achigermalide D decreased the expression of IL-1β and the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), and also down-regulated the protein levels of TXNIP, NLRP3, caspase-1 and NF-κB in the Western blot analysis, suggesting achigermalide D mediated IR via the suppression of NLRP3 inflammasome pathway.

Abstract
Scrub typhus is a zoonotic disease caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi, which is transmitted by larval trombiculid mites. Due to nonspecific clinical presentation, scrub typhus is grossly underdiagnosed in pregnant women, fetuses and neonates. Here, we present a congenital infection case and hope to provide more insight into this disease.

Abstract
Brown adipose tissue (BAT) represents a valuable target for treating obesity in humans. BAT losses of thermogenic capacity and gains a “white adipose tissue-like (WAT-like)” phenotype (BAT whitening) under thermoneutral environments, which could lead to potential low therapy responsiveness in BAT-based obesity treatments. However, the epigenetic mechanisms of BAT whitening remain largely unknown. In this study, BATs were collected from rabbits at day0 (D0), D15, D85, and 2 years (Y2). RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) and the assay for transposase-accessible chromatin with high-throughput sequencing (ATAC-seq) were performed to investigate transcriptome and chromatin accessibility of BATs at the four whitening stages, respectively. Our data showed that many genes and chromatin accessible regions (refer to as “peaks”) were identified as significantly changed during BAT whitening in rabbits. The BAT-selective genes downregulated while WAT-selective genes upregulated from D0 to Y2, and the de novo lipogenesis-related genes reached the highest expression levels at D85. Both the highly expressed genes and accessible regions in Y2 were significantly enriched in immune response-related signal pathways. Analysis of different relationships between peaks and their nearby genes found an increased proportion of the synchronous changes between chromatin accessibility and gene expression during BAT whitening. The synergistic changes between the chromatin accessibility of promoter and the gene expression were found in the key adipose genes. The upregulated genes which contained increased peaks were significantly enriched in the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, steroid biosynthesis, TGF-beta signaling pathway, osteoclast differentiation, and dilated cardiomyopathy. Moreover, the footprinting analysis suggested that sequential regulation of potential transcription factors (TFs) mediated the loss of thermogenic phenotype and the gain of a WAT-like phenotype of BAT. In conclusion, our study provided the transcriptional and epigenetic frameworks for understanding BAT whitening in rabbits for the first time and might facilitate potential insights into BAT-based obesity treatments.

Abstract
Designing catalytic materials with enhanced stability and activity is crucial for sustainable electrochemical energy technologies. RuO2 is the most active material for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in electrolysers aiming at producing ‘green’ hydrogen, however it encounters critical electrochemical oxidation and dissolution issues during reaction. It remains a grand challenge to achieve stable and active RuO2 electrocatalyst as the current strategies usually enhance one of the two properties at the expense of the other. Here, we report breaking the stability and activity limits of RuO2 in neutral and alkaline environments by constructing a RuO2/CoOx interface. We demonstrate that RuO2 can be greatly stabilized on the CoOx substrate to exceed the Pourbaix stability limit of bulk RuO2. This is realized by the preferential oxidation of CoOx during OER and the electron gain of RuO2 through the interface. Besides, a highly active Ru/Co dual-atom site can be generated around the RuO2/CoOx interface to synergistically adsorb the oxygen intermediates, leading to a favourable reaction path. The as-designed RuO2/CoOx catalyst provides an avenue to achieve stable and active materials for sustainable electrochemical energy technologies. RuO2 encounters critical electrochemical dissolution issues during oxygen evolution reaction and it remains a grand challenge to achieve stable and active RuO2 electrocatalyst. Here, the authors report breaking stability and activity limits of RuO2 by constructing a RuO2/CoOx interface.

Abstract
Agricultural tillage practices have a significant impact on the generation and consumption of greenhouse gases (GHGs), the primary causes of global warming. Two tillage systems, conventional tillage (CT) and no-tillage (NT), were compared to evaluate their effects on GHG emissions in this study. Averaged from 2018 to 2020, significant decreases of CO2 and N2O emissions by 7.4% and 51.1% were observed in NT as compared to those of CT. NT was also found to inhibit the soil CH4 uptake. In this study, soil was a source of CO2 and N2O but a sink for CH4. The effect of soil temperature on the fluxes of CO2 was more pronounced than that of soil moisture. However, soil temperature and soil moisture had a weak correlation with CH4 and N2O flux variations. As compared to CT, NT did not affect maize yields but significantly reduced global warming potential (GWP) by 8.07%. For yield-scaled GWP, no significant difference was observed in NT (9.63) and CT (10.71). Taken together, NT was an environment-friendly tillage practice to mitigate GHG emissions in the soil under the tested conditions.

Abstract
Food waste (FW) poses serious challenges to incineration and composting. Hydrothermal treatment (HTT) is a promising method to produce carbon-rich materials from biomass, including humus substances. In this study, FW containing cellulose, starches, and proteins was treated by HTT to study the formation and regulation of three kinds of humus (i.e., humin, humic acids [HAs], and fulvic acids [FAs]). Ultimate analysis and proximate analyses were conducted to explore the material composition, which was very similar to natural humus. Three kinds of humus were quantified. Optimal temperature (200 °C) and residence time (30 min) for production of HAs were determined based on HAs yield (14.60%). In addition, formation and regulation of humin, HAs and FAs was discussed. The amino acids, peptides, monosaccharides, and HMF obtained by hydrolysis of FW produced important precursors of humus. Moreover, the transfer of nutrient elements was revealed. Nearly 90% of K was dissolved in water. Recovery of N (60%) was relatively stable in hydrochar. Up to 67.61% of P deposited in hydrochar with 12 h.

Simple Summary Our knowledge of circRNAs regulating skeletal muscle development remains largely unknown in meat rabbits. Therefore, we collected the leg muscle tissues of ZIKA rabbits at three key growth stages. A combination of circRNA assembly from a circRNA-seq library and the whole-transcriptome sequencing data identified credible circRNAs in our samples. We found these circRNAs were more conserved between rabbits and humans than between rabbits and mice. A prediction of circRNA–microRNA–mRNAs networks revealed that circRNAs might be the regulators that mainly functioned in rabbits’ muscle neuron development and metabolic processes. Our work provides a catalog of circRNAs regulating skeletal muscle development at key growth stages in rabbits and might give a new insight into rabbit breeding. Abstract Skeletal muscle development plays a vital role in muscle quality and yield in meat rabbits. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a new type of single-stranded endogenous non-coding RNAs involved in different biological processes. However, our knowledge of circRNAs regulating skeletal muscle development remains largely unknown in meat rabbits. In this study, we collected the leg muscle tissues of ZIKA rabbits at three key growth stages. By performing whole-transcriptome sequencing, we found the sequential expression of day 0- (D0-), D35-, and D70-selective mRNAs mainly functioned in muscle development, nervous development, and immune response during skeletal muscle development, respectively. Then, a combination of circRNA assembly from a circRNA-seq library and the whole-transcriptome sequencing data identified 6845 credible circRNAs in our samples. Most circRNAs were transcribed from exons of known genes, contained few exons, and showed short length, and these circRNAs were more conserved between rabbits and humans than between rabbits and mice. The upregulated circRNAs, which were synchronously changed with host genes, primarily played roles in MAPK signaling pathways and fatty acid biosynthesis. The prediction of circRNA–microRNA–mRNAs networks revealed that circRNAs might be the regulators that mainly functioned in rabbits’ muscle neuron development and metabolic processes. Abstract
Thermal transport plays a key role in the working stability of gallium nitride (GaN) based optoelectronic devices, where doping has been widely employed for practical applications. However, it remains unclear how doping affects thermal transport. In this study, based on first-principles calculations, we studied the doping effect on the thermal transport properties of GaN by substituting Ga with In/Al atoms. The thermal conductivities at 300 K along the in-plane(out-of-plane) directions of In- and Al-doped GaN are calculated to be 7.3(8.62) and 12.45(11.80) W m-1 K-1, respectively, which are more than one order of magnitude lower compared to that of GaN [242(239) W m-1 K-1]. From the analysis of phonon transport properties, we find that the low phonon group velocity and small phonon relaxation time dominate the degenerated thermal conductivity, which originated from the strong phonon anharmonicity of In/Al-doped GaN. Furthermore, by examining the crystal structure and electronic properties, the lowered thermal conductivity is revealed lying in the strong polarization of In-N and Al-N bonds, which is due to the large difference in electronegativity of In/Al and N atoms. The results achieved in this study have guiding significance to the thermal transport design of GaN-based optoelectronic devices.

Abstract
Background The conventional belief that glucocorticosteroid (GC) acts through a single brand glucocorticoid receptor (GR)α protein has changed dramatically with the discovery of multiple GR isoforms. We aimed to evaluate whether multiple GR protein isoforms are expressed in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and whether GR protein isoform expression profiles differ between different endotypes of CRSwNP. Methods Thirty-eight patients with CRSwNP and ten healthy volunteers were included. The protein expression of multiple GR isoforms in nasal polyps (NPs) tissue and control mucosae was examined by western blot analysis with different GR antibodies. Results Five bands, including three bands for known proteins (GRα-A/B, GRα-C, and GRα-D) and two bands for unidentified proteins at 67 kilodaltons (kDa) and 60 kDa, were identified with both total GR antibody (PA1-511A) and GRα-specific antibody (PA1-516). GRα-D intensity, which was abundant in nasal mucosa, was significantly increased in the CRSwNP group and was especially elevated in the noneosinophilic CRSwNP (NE-CRSwNP) group (PA1-511A: P < 0.001 and P = 0.0018; PA1-516: P < 0.003 and P = 0.006, respectively). Additionally, the intensities of the newly recognized 67 kDa and 60 kDa bands were much greater in the NE-CRSwNP subgroup than in the eosinophilic CRSwNP (E-CRSwNP) subgroup; in the E-CRSwNP subgroup, the median intensities were even lower than those in the control group. Conclusions This study provides evidence that nasal tissues express multiple GR protein isoforms. GR protein isoforms presented disease and tissue-specific expression profiles that differed between the CRSwNP and control groups and between the E-CRSwNP and NE-CRSwNP subgroups. Abstract
It is a challenge to characterize soil respiration of crop residue return systems in the North China Plain (NCP) under no-tillage (NT) and conventional tillage (CT) practices. In this study, we addressed the "hot spot" research challenge of impacts of tillage practices on soil carbon storage and soil CO2 emissions in the NCP by 13C-isotopic signature. A short-term (2018-2020) field experiment was conducted with two tillage practices: NT and CT. The results showed that in the tested area, NT had advantages of lower CO2 emissions compared to CT with average reduced CO2 emissions by 10.82%-19.14%. The results of this study suggested that the NT facilitated enhanced soil carbon storage by 2.80%, which was evidenced by the δ13C data. Based on the path analysis model, the main line of soil respiration reduced by NT was attributed to the increased of soil microbial carbon and nitrogen as well as soil moisture in NT, which further increased δ13C and eventually inhibited soil respiration. Overall, adopting NT in NCP is an effective means to improve soil carbon pool and decrease soil CO2 emissions in agriculture practices.

Abstract
Objectives Lysine-specific demethylase1 (LSD1), an important class of histone demethylases, plays a crucial role in regulation of mammalian biology. The up-regulated LSD1 expression was frequently associated with progress and oncogenesis of multiple human cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Therefore, inhibition of LSD1 may provide an attractive strategy for cancer treatment. We investigated the effect of sanguinarine against lung cancer cells as a natural alkaloid LSD1 inhibitor. Materials and Methods The inhibition properties of sanguinarine to the recombinant LSD1 were evaluated by a fluorescence-based method. Subsequently, assays such as viability, apoptosis, clonogenicity, wound healing, and transwell were performed on H1299 and H1975 cells after treatment with sanguinarine. Results Upon screening our in-house natural chemical library toward LSD1, we found that sanguinarine possessed a potent inhibitory effect against LSD1 with the IC50 value of 0.4 μM in a reversible manner. Molecular docking simulation suggested that sanguinarine may inactivate LSD1 by inserting into the binding pocket of LSD1 to compete with the FAD site. In H1299 and H1975 cells, sanguinarine inhibited the demethylation of LSD1, validating its cellular activity against the enzyme. Further studies showed that sanguinarine exhibited a strong capacity to suppress colony formation, inhibit migration and invasion, as well as induce apoptosis of H1299 and H1975 cells. Conclusion Our findings present a new chemical scaffold for LSD1 inhibitors, and also provide new insight into the anti-NSCLC action of sanguinarine.

Abstract
The accurate determination of fracture toughness (KIc) in rock is of great significance to the study of rock fracture characteristics. However, the effect of contact friction in the loading process on the test results of fracture toughness is rarely considered, and the tested KIc in previous studies is generally higher than the inherent KIc of the material. Based on the ABAQUS software, the influence of friction on the test results of KIc was investigated under different material elastic moduli, loading conditions and specimen sizes by the finite element analysis in this study. The results show that for the specimen with the notch semi-circular bend configuration, if the presence of friction is considered, the changes of load level, the span of roller support and the specimen size can significantly affect the test results of fracture toughness, except the elastic modulus of the material; if the influence of friction is not considered, there will be a large deviation in the research results of the size effect of fracture toughness in rock. As the friction coefficient increases, the estimated value of the fracture energy increases, while the fracture process zone length decreases for the specimen with an infinite size.

Abstract
Drug resistance is responsible for castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC)-associated mortality. While ATP binding cassette subfamily C member 5 (ABCC5) has been reported to regulate multiple drug resistance, its drug-efflux function may not be the main reason underlying resistance to enzalutamide, an androgen receptor inhibitor. Here, we aimed to determine whether the non-drug efflux function of ABCC5 affects enzalutamide resistance. The ABCC5 expression data in patients with prostate cancer (PCa) were retrieved from The Cancer Genome Atlas and Gene Expression Omnibus, and their correlation with disease prognosis was analyzed. Immunohistochemical staining was performed on a cohort of 80 patient samples. Proliferation of enzalutamide-resistant 22RV1 and C4-2B cells was investigated using CCK-8, EdU, and colony formation assays. The effect of ABCC5 silencing on enzalutamide resensitization was evaluated in vitro and in vivo. Functional assays indicated that ABCC5 depletion resensitized enzalutamide-resistant cells to inhibit cell growth and impeded xenograft tumor proliferation. Mechanistically, luciferase and ChIP assays confirmed that P65 regulated AR expression and activity by binding to its promoter, while ABCC5-mediated resistance effected by AR-V7 (one of the widely studied AR splicing variants that meditate AR antagonist resistance) upregulation could be reversed by P65 knockdown. Furthermore, activation of the NF-κB pathway reversed the effects of ABCC5 knockdown by extra AR-V7 expression. Thus, ABCC5 might be a novel target for enzalutamide-resistant CRPC treatment.
