Abstract
The multichannel formic acid (HCOOH, λ = 432.5 µm) laser interferometer and Faraday-effect polarimeter on HL-2A tokamak have been developed to measure the far-forward collective scattering from electron density fluctuations. The far-forward collective scattering system provides eight channels of line-integrated electron density fluctuations, covering the wave-number range: k⊥ < 1.6 cm-1. With the new diagnostic, the density fluctuations caused by plasma energetic particles and turbulence have been routinely observed in HL-2A experiments.

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics, two different treatment outcomes and prognostic factors of hypopharyngeal carcinoma. Method:The life table method was used to calculate the overall survival rates, Log-rank test was used to compare the overall survival rates between the two groups. The Cox proportional hazard model was used to perform the multivariate analysis to confirm independent treatment modalities as prognostic factors. Result:Among the 321 patients, 197 patients received surgery combine with radiotherapy or concurrent chemoradiotherapy treatment(S+R/CRT) and 124 patients received radiotherapy or concurrent chemoradiotherapy treatment(R/CRT). For 321 patients, the 1,3,5year overall survival rates were 75.87%,49.39%,41.38% and the median survival time was 37.65 months. The difference in throat retention ratio between the radiotherapy or concurrent chemoradiotherapy treatment(41.94%) and surgery combine with radiotherapy or concurrent chemoradiotherapy treatment(11.17%) was statistically significant (P<0.01).Univariate analysis showed that clinical stage of tumor, T stage, N stage, M stage and two different treatment modalities have impact on survival prognosis. Cox regression multivariate analysis showed that T stage, N stage, two different treatment modalities were independent risk factors of prognosis. Conclusion:The overall prognosis of hypopharyngeal carcinoma was poor and dismal. Hypopharyngeal carcinoma is characterized by high degree of malignancy, difficult to be found early, prone to recurrence and metastasis after operation, large trauma and poor prognosis. Comprehensive examination should be conducted to define the stage of tumor and choose the rational treatment plan before treatment. Surgery combine with radiotherapy or chemotherapy treatment modality is still the main treatment strategy for advanced-stage hypopharyngeal carcinoma..

Abstract
A series of novel thioether or sulfoxide-type pleuromutilin derivatives containing heteroaromatic substituents at the end of C14 side chain were designed and synthesized. All of the derivatives were evaluated for their in vitro antibacterial activity. Some of them showed good to excellent antibacterial activity comparable to retapamulin and azamulin in most of the tested Gram-positive pathogens. In this work, a five-membered heterocyclic moiety, a pyrimidine-heterocyclic moiety, or a benzoheterocyclic moiety was introduced in the C14 side chain to increase the structural diversity of the pleuromutilin derivatives. The antibacterial results reveal that the thioether-containing pleuromutilin derivatives exert a more potency activity than the sulfoxide-type derivatives against Gram-positive pathogens. The structure-activity relationship summarized in this work may provide with some interesting clues as to which functionalities are beneficial for high antimicrobial activity of the pleuromutilin derivatives.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of acid etching of retropreps on seal of different retrofill materials. METHODS In the study, 80 freshly extracted lower molar teeth were used. They were examined under 3.5× magnifying glass to rull out fractures. They were cleaned and stored in distilled water before use. The distal roots were sectioned off and underwent root canal treatment. Rotary nickel-titanium instruments were used during instrumentation and the roots were obturated using lateral condensation technique. The apical portion (3 mm in length) was removed with a fine grit diamond bur, the root tip was retroprepared with a ultrasonic tip (3 mm in depth). The retroprepared roots were randomly assigned to 4 groups and retrofilled with amalgam, intermediate restorative material (IRM), iRoot BP Plus and mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA). The groups were further divided into subgroups according to treatment of the root end cavity (etch and non-etch). The root tips were covered with alginate impression material and were left to set in PBS solution for a week and stained with methylene blue for a week. The roots were removed from the dye solution, thoroughly rinsed and dried, split in halves along the long axis with a diamond disk and observed under a stereoscope. The linear dye leakage was measured and analyzed. One way ANOVA and Tamhane's T2 method were used to analyze the data. The significance level was set at 0.05. RESULTS The dye leakage results (mean±standard deviation) according to the treatment groups were: amalgam etch (2.80±0.72) mm, amalgam non-etch (2.07±0.86) mm, IRM etch (1.54±0.19) mm, IRM non-etch (1.12±0.28) mm , iRoot BP Plus etch (0.20±0.20) mm, iRoot BP Plus non-etch (0.11±0.08) mm, MTA etch (0.19±0.19) mm, and MTA non-etch (0.17±0.14) mm. One way ANOVA showed significant differences between the groups. Comparison between the groups using Tamhane's T2 method showed roots retrofilled with iRoot BP Plus and MTA had significant less leakage than those retrofilled with amalgam and IRM (P<0.05); There was no significant difference in terms of leakage between iRoot BP Plus and MTA; Acid etching increased leakage of IRM but did not affect MTA, iRoot BP Plus or amalgam retrofillings. CONCLUSION Acid etching is not shown to benefit apical sealing of retrofill materials.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the metastatic sequence of cervical lymph node in hypopharyngeal carcinoma aimed at guiding neck exploration. Methods: Seventy-five serial sections of integrally dissected lateral neck specimens from 67 patients of hypophayryngeal carcinoma were histopathologically observed, and the metastatic sequence of cervical lymph node of hypophayryngeal carcinoma were analysed. Results: In 75 integrally dissected lateral neck specimens, 63 laterals were found to occur cervical lymph node metastases, the metastatic ratio was 84.0%. The analytic result of 63 dissected lateral neck specimens with positive lymph nodes showed that the metastatic lymph node ratio in descending order was level Ⅱ (90.5%), level Ⅲ (76.2%), level Ⅳ (41.3%), level Ⅴ (15.9%), level Ⅰ (7.9%) and level Ⅵ (3.2%). The metastatic ratio of lymph node between level Ⅰ~Ⅵ were significantly different from each other (P<0.01). When the tumor metastasized to one cervical lymph node, this could be found in levels Ⅱ or Ⅲ, when metastasized to two cervical lymph nodes, these could be found in levels Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ, and when metastasized to more than 5 of cervical lymph nodes, these could be found in levels Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ, Ⅴ, Ⅰand Ⅵ. According to the occurring sequence, metastatic ratio and number of cervical lymph node metastasis (LNM), levels Ⅱ and Ⅲ were identified as the first station, level Ⅳ was the second station and levels Ⅴ, Ⅰ and Ⅵ were the third station of cervical LNM in hypopharyngeal carcinoma. Conclusion: The confirmation of metastatic sequence of cervical lymph node in hypophayryngeal carcinoma provides a reliable evidence for neck lymph node dissection and reference value for clinic therapy.

Abstract
Objective: To analyse the biomechanical effects on adjacent segments of different growing-rod (GR) fixation in early onset scoliosis through a finite element analysis method. Methods: A severe early-onset scoliosis patient was selected and the pre-operation and post-GR-operation (Upper instrumented levels: T(4), T(5). Lower instrumented levels: L(3), L(4)) whole spine 3-dimentional CT scan data were collected to build the finite models. Based on the different models, biomechanical differences on adjacent segments were analysed. Results: The stress on the adjacent structures decreased after the GR surgery compared with the pre-operation. Compared with the single GR, stress on T(3) vertebrae decreased by 6.2%, stress on T(3/4) disc decreased by 6.7%, stress on T(3/4) ligament decreased by 27.7%, stress on T(6) vertebrae decreased by 16.9%, stress on T(5/6) disc decreased by 1.2%, stress on T(5/6) ligament decreased by 40.4%, stress on L(2) vertebrae decreased by 32.6%, stress on L(2/3) disc decreased by 30%, stress on L(2/3) ligament decreased by 15.6%, stress on L(5) vertebrae decreased by 1.2%, stress on L(4/5) disc decreased by 15.7%, stress on L(4/5) ligament decreased by 100.0% in dual GR structure. The application of hook (s) on the upper instrumented vertebrae (s) decreased the stress on the cranial adjacent segment. Stress on T(3) vertebrae decreased by 2.8% and 2.2%, stress on T(3/4) disc decreased by 2.4% and 1.5%, stress on T(3/4) ligament decreased by 3.6% and 5.7% in single GR and dual GR models separately when the hook (s) were utilized. In the meanwhile, the stress on the adjacent segment was more concentrated in the single GR model. Conclusion: Dual-rod growing-rod and the application of hook (s) on the upper instrumented vertebrae could reduce the stress on the adjacent segments more effectively in patients with early onset scoliosis.

Abstract
In order to avoid a fringe jump caused by high plasma density and pellet injection [Y. Zhou et al., Rev. Sci. Instrum. 87, 11E107 (2016)], a new CO2 dispersion interferometer is designed and commissioned on HL-2A for average line-density measurement and density feedback control. The second harmonic technology in this system eliminates the phase shift caused by mechanical vibration. Signals are processed by a digital phase comparator and can be monitored in real time. A series of experiments are conducted to study the characteristics of the system such as a second harmonic coefficient and long-term stability. The resolution of density measurement is less than 8 × 1017/m3, and the experiment result on HL-2A demonstrates the interferometer's capability to track plasma density evolution with rapid change. The system also shows good stability against mechanical vibrations.

Abstract
Objective: To observe the degradation process of biodegradable magnesium alloy stent (BMAS) in vivo in order to evaluate its degradation time and biological safety. Methods: Twenty-four male New Zealand white rabbits were divided into two groups: group A (n=12) and group B (n=12). The BMAS (a total of 12) was implanted in the infrarenal aorta of each rabbit in group A, while group B was the control group, without treatment. Color Doppler ultrasound was used at the 1, 2, 3, 4 months postoperatively to observe the degradation process of stents in group A. The arterial blood samples and main organs of two groups were also collected for biochemical examination and biosafety. Degradation assessment included transmission X-ray tomography (XRT), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersion spectrum (EDS). Results: The XRT showed that the morphology of the stent was basically intact at 1 month after implantation, then scaffold composites were gradually degraded and absorbed. Degradation was basically completed at 4 months after operation. The early degradation products were Mg(2+) , then gradually replaced by Ca(2+) , P and other inorganic composition. There was no obvious adverse reactions in group A during the 4 months follow-up period. There was no statistical difference between the two groups in blood biochemical and pathological results (all P>0.05). Conclusion: BMAS can be degraded within 4 months in the abdominal aorta of rabbit, and the main degradation products are Ca(2+) and P, with good biosafety.

Abstract
A new four-chord Michelson-type formic acid (HCOOH, λ = 432.5 μm) laser interferometer has been successfully commissioned on the HL-2A tokamak to measure the electron density and density fluctuations. Due to the employment of the two-laser heterodyne technique, the time resolution of the interferometer reached 1.0 microseconds (μs). Four chords of line electron densities with a line-averaged density resolution 2 × 1016/m3 were obtained in a recent HL-2A experimental campaign, and detailed electron density fluctuations, caused by events such as edge localized mode, sawtooth precursor-oscillations, and energetic particle driven instabilities, were distinctly measured. In particular, the high-frequency electron density fluctuations (up to 500 kHz) caused by the reversed shear Alfvénic eigenmode were observed by the internal two interferometry channels, and their fluctuation location could be approximately identified from the spectra characteristics of multi-chord line electron densities.

Abstract
Grass carp reovirus (GCRV) is the causative agent of hemorrhagic disease in infected grass carp. During an outbreak, a mortality rate of up to 85% can be experienced, thus leading to substantial economic losses. The current understanding of disease pathogenesis is limited, with the distribution and dynamics of replication amongst different GCRV strains in vivo largely unknown. We determined distribution of different GCRV strains in infected grass carp, especially in some neglected tissues, such as the gill, brain, blood and so on. The results showed elevated viral RNA copy numbers in the blood, with some tissues such as the kidney, heart, brain, and bladder exhibiting even higher viral loads following infection with the virulent GCRV-CL strain. Even more interesting is that the brain exhibited the highest viral load, with a copy number of 800,000 following GCRV-CL infection. Overall, this study provides further insight into GCRV viral load distributions following infection and potentially identified some new viral tropism sites to provide a foundation for further studies aimed at characterizing GCRV viral pathogenesis.

Abstract
HL-2M is a new medium-sized tokamak with major radius of 1.78 m, minor radius of 0.65 m, and aspect ratio of 2.8 and will be finished soon. In the conceptual design, a double-pass, horizontal view, multi-channel far-infrared (FIR) laser interferometer/polarimeter system (at 432 μm) is proposed to simultaneously measure the phase change and the Faraday rotation for density and current profile reconstruction. A vertical CO2 dispersion interferometer system (with wavelength of 10.6 μm and 5.3 μm) is designed to measure the line density, which will mainly be used for density feedback. The performance of the system is expected to meet the requirement of the measurements on HL-2M, with phase accuracy ∼0.1°, time resolution ∼1 μs, spatial resolution ∼7.2 cm, and density measurement range of 1 × 10 18-1 ×1021 m-3.

Abstract
To investigate the effects of carbomer eye drops (CED) during long-time wearing of overnight orthokeratology lens of adolescents with myopia, 260 teenagers with myopia treated in the Henan Provincial Peoples Hospital from June 2012 to August 2014 and followed-up for more than 2 years were enrolled. All the patients underwent regular fitting of orthokeratology lens. They were divided into a CED (Vidisic) group (130 cases, 260 eyes treated with CED) and rewetting drops (RD) (Baushe and Lomb) group (130 cases, 260 eyes treated with RD). The effects in the two groups were observed. The incidence of corneal epithelial defects one day, one week and one month after treatment of the CED group was lower than that of the RD group, and the difference was statistically significant (P less than 0.05); the tear break up time (TBUT) of the CED group was higher than that of the RD group at different time points, and the difference had statistical significance (P less than 0.05); the difference of the value of Schirmer I test between the two groups had no statistical significance (P>0.05). It is concluded that carbomer eye drops can stabilize tear film and protect and repair corneal epithelium during the wearing of orthokeratology lens.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the yearly, monthly and habitat-related distribution and their relations with Meriones unguiculatus density in the Hebei Meriones unguiculatus plague foci, from 2001 to 2013. METHODS Data related to Meriones unguiculatus was gathered through the monitoring programs set up at the national and provincial Meriones unguiculatus plague foci in Hebei province, from 2001 to 2013. According to the yearly density of Meriones unguiculatus, criteria set for the three groups under study, were as follows:'high-risk group'-when the rodent density was≥1.00 under rodents/hm(2),'warning group'-when the rodents/hm(2)>rodent density> 0.20,'standard group'-when rodents/hm(2) rodent density≤0.20 rodents/hm(2). Differences of habitats and monthly distribution among the three groups were compared, under the Kruskal-Wallis H rank sum test while their relations were under the multiple correspondence analysis. RESULTS The Meriones unguiculatus densities were higher than 1.00 rodents/hm(2), far above the set national standards, in the monitoring area, between 2001 and 2005. From 2005, though the rodent densities began to decrease, however, figures from 2008 to 2013 were still among 0.20 to 1.00 rodents/hm(2). The distribution of habitats in the three groups showed that the Meriones unguiculatus densities were all different in habitats and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The highest median densities were all in the arable land, with maximum value of high-risk group appeared the highest (20.50 rodents/hm(2)) in the wasteland. Monthly distribution showed that the Meriones unguiculatus densities were different and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) in the high-risk and standard groups but not statistically significant in the warning group. Data from the multiple correspondence analysis showed that there was a strong aggregation among wasteland, in April and June, while the warning group was associated with weather in July and the arable land. CONCLUSIONS When the density became higher than 1.00 rodents/hm(2), the risk on animal plague increased in Hebei Meriones unguiculatus plague foci. Based on the distribution of Meriones unguiculatus, programs should be set to monitor the rodent in arable land and wasteland, in April and June, to reduce the prevalence of animals plague.

Abstract
The impact of impurity ions on a pedestal has been investigated in the HL-2A Tokamak, at the Southwestern Institute of Physics, Chengdu, China. Experimental results have clearly shown that during the H-mode phase, an electromagnetic turbulence was excited in the edge plasma region, where the impurity ions exhibited a peaked profile. It has been found that double impurity critical gradients are responsible for triggering the turbulence. Strong stiffness of the impurity profile has been observed during cyclic transitions between the I-phase and H-mode regime. The results suggest that the underlying physics of the self-regulated edge impurity profile offers the possibility for an active control of the pedestal dynamics via pedestal turbulence.

Abstract
The study of quantitative trait effects is of great significance for molecular marker-assisted breeding. The accuracy of quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping is the key factor affecting marker-assisted breeding, and is extremely significant. The effect of different heritability rates (10, 30, 50, 70, and 90%) on the accuracy of QTL mapping of five recombinant inbred lines (RILs) were analyzed via computer simulation. RILs display additive and epistatic genetic effects. The QTLs were analyzed using four different mapping procedures: multiple QTL model (MQM), composite interval mapping (CIM), multiple interval mapping (MIMR), and inclusive composite interval mapping (ICIM). The results revealed an increase in the QTL mapping accuracy and QTL detection power, and a decrease in the QTL interval range with the increase in heritability; conversely, an irregular number of false positive QTLs were generated. CIM and MQM only screen the additive and dominant effects; MIMR and ICIM screen the additive, dominant, and epistatic effects. The highest QTL detection power obtained using MQM and CIM was only 75%, while MIMR and ICIM showed a detection power of 100%. At heritability rates of more than 50 and less than 10%, the detection powers of the MIMR and ICIM procedures were >95 and <35%, respectively. QTL mapping has no significance at heritability rates <10%. The results of this study suggest that QTL mapping has significance at a heritability rate >30% (at least >10%) for practical marker-assisted breeding.

Abstract
The codon usage patterns of open reading frames (ORFs) in cyprinid herpesvirus 3 (CyHV-3) have been investigated in this study. The high correlation between GC12 % and GC3 % suggests that mutational pressure rather than natural selection is the main factor that determines the codon usage and base component in the CyHV-3, while mutational pressure effect results from the high correlation between GC3 % and the first principal axis of principle component analysis (Axis 1) on the relative synonymous codon usage (RSCU) value of the viral functional genes. However, the interaction between the absolute codon usage bias and GC3 % suggests that other selections take part in the formation of codon usage, except for the mutational pressure. It is noted that the similarity degree of codon usage between the CyHV-3 and goldfish, Carassius auratus (L.), is higher than that between the virus and common carp, Cyprinus carpio L., suggesting that the goldfish plays a more important role than the common carp in codon usage pattern of the CyHV-3. The study of codon usage in CyHV-3 can provide some evidence about the molecular evolution of the virus. It can also enrich our understanding about the relationship between the CyHV-3 and its hosts by analysing their codon usage patterns.

Abstract
We aimed to assess parameters reflecting left ventricular function by dual-source computed tomography (DSCT) with echocardiography (ECG) as control. Fifty-eight patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) were recruited from January to June 2011; 29 CHD patients had type II diabetes. All patients were assessed by cardiac DSCT and ECG examination. DSCT and ECG correlated well for ejection fraction (EF) (r = 0.70), end-systolic volume (ESV) (r = 0.87), stroke volume (SV) (r = 0.83), and end-diastolic volume (EDV) (r = 0.90). The mean ESV and EDV values measured by the two methods in CHD patients with type II diabetes were higher than those in non-diabetic patients, whereas the mean EF was lower. DSCT is an accurate and practical method for assessing left ventricular function.

Abstract
In semiconductor industry, strict critical dimension control by using a critical dimension scanning electron microscope (CD-SEM) is an extremely urgent task in near-term years. A Monte Carlo simulation model for study of CD-SEM image has been established, which is based on using Mott's cross section for electron elastic scattering and the full Penn dielectric function formalism for electron inelastic scattering and the associated secondary electron (SE) production. In this work, a systematic calculation of CD-SEM line-scan profiles and 2D images of trapezoidal Si lines has been performed by taking into account different experimental factors including electron beam condition (primary energy, probe size), line geometry (width, height, foot/corner rounding, sidewall angle, and roughness), material properties, and SE signal detection. The influences of these factors to the critical dimension metrology are investigated, leading to build a future comprehensive model-based library.

Abstract
An HL-2A interferometer is upgraded to a multi-channel interferometer∕polarimeter, which includes four chords for the interferometer and four chords for the polarimeter. The far-infrared lasers (at λ = 432.5 μm and 30 mW power) are used to probe plasmas horizontally in the midplane of HL-2A. A conventional heterodyne technique is used for the interferometer. Two counter-rotating circularly polarized waves are used to measure the Faraday rotation effect. A fast-phase comparator with temporal resolution of 1 μs and phase resolution 0.1° is developed. Further, the distortion of the polarization caused by the beam-splitters and the other optical components is also investigated.

Abstract
HepG2.2.15 cell is a widely used cell model for studying HBV (hepatitis B virus) in vitro. In these cells, the HBV genome is integrated in several sites of HepG2 cellular DNA. These multiple copies may have some influence on the cellular processes. We constructed a new plasmid, pSEH-Flag-HBV, and transfected it into HepG2 cells, and then screened it with hygromycin. We then used ELISA, PCR, and RT-PCR to detect the expression of HBV in these cell lines. A cell line that stably expressed hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) and hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) was established. Using Southern blotting analysis, we found that the HBV genome was integrated as a single copy in the cellular DNA. This cell line will be a useful alternative model for HBV studies.

Abstract
Monte Carlo simulation methods for the study of electron beam interaction with solids have been mostly concerned with specimens of simple geometry. In this article, we propose a simulation algorithm for treating arbitrary complex structures in a real sample. The method is based on a finite element triangular mesh modeling of sample geometry and a space subdivision for accelerating simulation. Simulation of secondary electron image in scanning electron microscopy has been performed for gold particles on a carbon substrate. Comparison of the simulation result with an experiment image confirms that this method is effective to model complex morphology of a real sample.
