Abstract
In the title compound, [Cu(CH3COO)2(C9H8N2O)2] n , the CuII ion resides on a centre of inversion, displaying a tetra-gonally distorted octa-hedral coordination environment defined by two pairs of N and O atoms of symmetry-related 4-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)phenol ligands and the O atoms of two symmetry-related acetate ligands. The bridging mode of the 4-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)phenol ligands is associated with a very long Cu⋯O inter-actions involving the phenol O atom of the heterocyclic ligand, which creates chains extending parallel to [100]. In the crystal, the chains are arranged in a distorted hexa-gonal rod packing and are linked via C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and by π-π stacking inter-actions involving centrosymmetrically related pairs of imidazole and phenol rings.

Abstract
The title compound, [Na2(C6H5N2O2)2(C6H6N2O2)4], is a centrosymmetric coordination dimer based on the sodium(I) salt of N-hy-droxy-picolinamide. The mol-ecule has an {Na2O6(μ-O)2} core with two bridging carbonyl O atoms and two hydroxamate O atoms of two mono-deprotonated residues of N-hy-droxy-picolinamide, while two neutral N-hy-droxy-picolinamide mol-ecules are coordinated in a monodentate manner to each sodium ion via the carbonyl O atoms [the Na-O distances range from 2.3044 (2) to 2.3716 (2) Å]. The penta-coordinated sodium ion exhibits a distorted trigonal-pyramidal coordination polyhedron. In the crystal, the coordination dimers are linked into chains along the c axis via N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds; the chains are linked into a two-dimensional framework parallel to (100) via weak C-H⋯O and π-π stacking inter-actions.

Abstract
In the title compound, C10H5IO3, an iodinated 3-formyl-chromone derivative, the non-H atoms are essentially coplanar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0344 Å), with the largest deviation from the least-squares plane [0.101 (3) Å] being found for the formyl O atom. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked through stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance between the benzene rings = 3.700 (3) Å] and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Halogen bonds between the I atoms at 7-position and the formyl O atoms [I1⋯O3 = 3.056 (2) Å, C6-I1⋯O3 = 173.18 (8)° and I1⋯O3-C10 = 111.12 (18)°] are also formed along [110], resulting in sheets perpendicular to the c axis, constructed by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and I⋯O halogen bonds.

Abstract
The coordination polymer {[Cu(SiF6)(C10H8N2)2]·2C10H8N2·5H2O} n , systematic name: poly[[bis-(μ2-4,4'-bi-pyridine)(μ2-hexa-fluorido-silicato)copper(II)] 4,4'-bi-pyridine disolvate penta-hydrate], contains pores which are filled with water and 4,4'-bi-pyridine mol-ecules. As a result of the presence of these ordered species, the framework changes its symmetry from P4/mmm to P21/c. The 4,4'-bi-pyridine guest mol-ecules form chains inside the 6.5 × 6.9 Å pores parallel to [100] in which the mol-ecules inter-act through π-π stacking. Ordered water mol-ecules form infinite hydrogen-bonded chains inside a second pore system (1.6 × 5.3 Å free aperture) perpendicular to the 4,4'-bi-pyridine channels.

Abstract
Hydrotris(pyrazolyl)borate (Tp) ligands, also known as scorpionates, are potent tridentate donors that effectively bind metal ions in a face-capping array. Hydrotris(3-phenylpyrazolyl)borate enforces a tetrahedral environment on NiII to model metalloenzymes. The syntheses and structural characterizations of a number of [hydrotris(3-phenylpyrazolyl)borato]nickel(II) aryloxides were performed to provide insight into the environment of the model active site; these compounds are chlorido[hydrotris(3-phenylpyrazolyl-κN2)borato](3-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-κN2)nickel(II) chloroform monosolvate, [Ni(C27H22BN6)Cl(C9H8N2)]·CHCl3, (2), [hydrotris(3-phenylpyrazolyl-κN2)borato](phenolato-κO)nickel(II), [Ni(C27H22BN6)(C6H5O)], (3), (2,6-dimethylphenolato-κO)[hydrotris(3-phenylpyrazolyl-κN2)borato]nickel(II) [Ni(C27H22BN6)(C8H9O)], (4), (4-tert-butylphenolato-κO)[hydrotris(3-phenylpyrazolyl-κN2)borato]nickel(II), [Ni(C27H22BN6)(C10H13O)], (5), and [hydrotris(3-phenylpyrazolyl-κN2)borato](phenolato-κO)(tetrahydrofuran-κO)nickel(II) tetrahydrofuran monosolvate, [Ni(C27H22BN6)(C6H5O)(C4H8O)]·C4H8O, (6). Alkyl groups, e.g. tert-butyl in (5) and methyl in (4), electronically activate the aryloxide group to intramolecular π-π stacking but can be frustrated by steric encumbrance at the interacting ring faces. The flexibility at the nickel coordination site, afforded by the uncrowded B atom of the TpPh ligand, allows tetrahydrofuran coordination in the phenolate compound.

Abstract
Solvent-free treatment of 1,3,6,8-tetra-aza-tri-cyclo-[4.3.1.13,8]undecano (TATU) with 4-chloro-3,5-di-methyl-phenol led to the formation of the title co-crystal, C7H14N4·2C8H9ClO. The asymmetric unit contains one aminal cage mol-ecule and two phenol mol-ecules linked via two O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. In the aminal cage, the N-CH2-CH2-N unit is slightly distorted from a syn periplanar geometry. Aromatic π-π stacking between the benzene rings from two different neighbouring phenol mol-ecules [centroid-centroid distance = 4.0570 (11) Å] consolidates the crystal packing.

Abstract
The search for new mol-ecular materials with inter-esting magnetic properties using the pseudohalide azide ion and quinolin-8-amine (aqin, C9H8N2) as a chelating ligand, led to the synthesis and structure determination of the title complex, [Fe(N3)2(C9H8N2)2]. The complex shows an octa-hedral geometry, with the FeII atom surrounded by six N atoms; the two N3- anions coordinate in a cis configuration, while the remaining N atoms originate from the two quinolin-8-amine ligands with the quinoline N atoms lying on opposite sides of the Fe atom. The crystal packing is dominated by layers of hydro-philic and aromatic regions parallel to the ac plane, stabilized by a two-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network and π-π stacking.

Abstract
Synthetic limitations in the copper-catalyzed azide alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) on gossypol's skeleton functionalized with alkyne (2) or azide (3) groups have been indicated. Modified approach to the synthesis of new gossypol-triazole conjugates yielded new compounds (24-31) being potential fungicides. Spectroscopic studies of triazole conjugates 24-31 have revealed their structures in solution, i.e., the presence of enamine-enamine tautomeric forms and π-π stacking intramolecular interactions between triazole arms. Biological evaluation of the new gossypol-triazole conjugates revealed the potency of 30 and 31 derivatives, having triazole-benzyloxy moieties, comparable with that of miconazole against Fusarium oxysporum. The results of HPLC evaluation of ergosterol content in different fungi strains upon treatment of gossypol and its derivatives enabled to propose a mechanism of antifungal activity of these compounds.

Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title co-crystal, C12H9N5O·0.5C6H10O4, consists of one mol-ecule of N (6)-benzoyl-adenine (BA) and one half-mol-ecule of adipic acid (AA), the other half being generated by inversion symmetry. The dihedral angle between the adenine and phenyl ring planes is 26.71 (7)°. The N (6)-benzoyl-adenine mol-ecule crystallizes in the N(7)-H tautomeric form with three non-protonated N atoms. This tautomeric form is stabilized by intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between the carbonyl (C=O) group and the N(7)-H hydrogen atom on the Hoogsteen face of the purine ring, forming an S(7) ring motif. The two carboxyl groups of adipic acid inter-act with the Watson-Crick face of the BA mol-ecules through O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating an R 2 (2)(8) ring motif. The latter units are linked by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to (10-5). A weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bond is also present, linking adipic acid mol-ecules in neighbouring layers, enclosing R (2) 2(10) ring motifs and forming a three-dimensional structure. C=O⋯π and C-H⋯π inter-actions are also present in the structure.

Abstract
The title coordination polymer, [Ni(C7H3NO4)(C4H4N2)(C2H6OS)] n , consists of [010] chains composed of Ni(II) ions linked by bis-monodentate-bridging pyrazine mol-ecules. Each of the two crystallographically distinct Ni(II) ions is located on a mirror plane and is additionally coordinated by a dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) ligand through the oxygen atom and by a tridentate 2,6-pyridine-di-carb-oxy-lic acid dianion through one of each of the carboxyl-ate oxygen atoms and the pyridine nitro-gen atom, leading to a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. The title structure exhibits an inter-esting complementarity between coordinative bonding and π-π stacking where the Ni-Ni distance of 7.0296 (4) Å across bridging pyrazine ligands allows the pyridine moieties on two adjacent chains to inter-digitate at halfway of the Ni-Ni distance, resulting in π-π stacking between pyridine moieties with a centroid-to-plane distance of 3.5148 (2) Å. The double-chain thus formed also exhibits C-H⋯π inter-actions between pyridine C-H groups on one chain and pyrazine mol-ecules on the other chain. As a result, the inter-ior of the double-chain structure is dominated by π-π stacking and C-H⋯ π inter-actions, while the space between the double-chains is occupied by a C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding network involving DMSO ligands and carboxyl-ate groups located on the exterior of the double-chains. This separation of dissimilar inter-actions in the inter-ior and exterior of the double-chains further stabilizes the crystal structure.

Abstract
The diorganotin(IV) complexes of 5-[(E)-2-aryldiazen-1-yl]-2-hydroxybenzoic acid are of interest because of their structural diversity in the crystalline state and their interesting biological activity. The structures of dimethylbis{2-hydroxy-5-[(E)-2-(4-methylphenyl)diazen-1-yl]benzoato}tin(IV), [Sn(CH3)2(C14H11N2O3)2], and di-n-butylbis{2-hydroxy-5-[(E)-2-(4-methylphenyl)diazen-1-yl]benzoato}tin(IV) benzene hemisolvate, [Sn(C4H9)2(C14H11N2O3)2]·0.5C6H6, exhibit the usual skew-trapezoidal bipyramidal coordination geometry observed for related complexes of this class. Each structure has two independent molecules of the Sn(IV) complex in the asymmetric unit. In the dimethyltin structure, intermolecular O-H...O hydrogen bonds and a very weak Sn...O interaction link the independent molecules into dimers. The planar carboxylate ligands lend themselves to π-π stacking interactions and the diversity of supramolecular structural motifs formed by these interactions has been examined in detail for these two structures and four closely related analogues. While there are some recurring basic motifs amongst the observed stacking arrangements, such as dimers and step-like chains, variations through longitudinal slipping and inversion of the direction of the overlay add complexity. The π-π stacking motifs in the two title complexes are combinations of some of those observed in the other structures and are the most complex of the structures examined.

In the crystal, weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture. Aromatic π-π stacking is also observed between the parallel nitro-benzene rings of neighbouring mol-ecules, the centroid-to-centroid distance being 3.5872 (15) Å.

Abstract
In the crystal, alternating layers and chains of the organic cations and inorganic anions are connected through an extensive three-dimensional network of N—H⋯Cl and C—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.π–π stacking interactions link the molecules within the layers and also link the layers together and reinforce the cohesion of the ionic structure. The title compound, {(C7H6NS)2[Sb2Cl6O]}n, contains two benzothiazolidium cations and one tri-μ-chlorido-trichlorido-μ-oxido-diantimonate(III) anion. The structure of the inorganic cation may be described as as being built up from two polyhedra, i.e. a square-pyramidal SbCl4O and a distorted octahedral SbOCl5 unit, sharing a common face (comprising the O atom and two Cl atoms). The two benzothiazole cations are quasi-planar and subtend a dihedral angle of 19.93 (5)°. The crystal packing can be described by alternating (100) layers and [001] chains of the organic cations and inorganic anions connected through an extensive three-dimensional network of N—H⋯Cl, C—H⋯O and C—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. This is consolidated by slipped π–π stacking, with centroid-to-centroid distances between the benzothiazole rings of 3.7111 (18)–3.8452 (16) Å. These interactions link the molecules within the layers and also link the layers together and reinforce the cohesion of the ionic structure.

Abstract
In the title compound, C12H14BN, the complete mol-ecule is generated by a crystallographic twofold axis, with two C atoms, the B atom and the N atom lying on the rotation axis. The dihedral angle between the bora-benzene and pyridine rings is 81.20 (6)°. As well as dative electron donation from the N atom to the B atom [B-N = 1.5659 (18) Å], the methyl substituents on the lutidine ring shield the B atom, which further stabilizes the mol-ecule. In the crystal, weak aromatic π-π stacking between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid separation = 3.6268 (9) Å] is observed, which generates [001] columns of mol-ecules.

Abstract
In the title polymeric complex salt, {[Ni(C8H4NO2)(C10H8N2)(H2O)3](C8H4NO2)} n , the Ni(II) cation is coordinated by a 4-cyano-benzoate anion, two 4,4'-bi-pyridine ligands and three water mol-ecules in a distorted N2O4 octa-hedral geometry. The 4,4'-bi-pyridine ligands bridge the Ni(II) cations to form polymeric chains of the title complex cations, propagating along the c-axis direction. The dihedral angle between the pyridine rings of the 4,4'-bi-pyridine ligand is 24.9 (6)°. In the crystal, the uncoordinating 4-cyano-benzoate anions link with the complex cations via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture. Weak C-H⋯O, C-H⋯N inter-actions and π-π stacking [centroid-to-centroid distances = 3.566 (4) and 3.885 (4) Å] are also observed in the crystal.

Abstract
In the title compound, C17H13NO5, the coumarin ring system is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.008 Å). The nitro-phenyl ring makes a dihedral angle of 25.27 (9)° with the coumarin ring plane. The nitro group is almost coplanar with the phenyl ring to which it is attached, making a dihedral angle of 4.3 (3)°. The eth-oxy group is inclined to the coumarin ring plane by 4.1 (2)°. Electron delocalization was found at the short bridging C-C bond with a bond length of 1.354 (2) Å. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming sheets in the bc plane. The sheets are linked via π-π stacking [centroid-centroid distances = 3.5688 (13) and 3.7514 (13) Å], forming a three-dimensional structure.

Abstract
The title mol-ecular salt, C6H8N(+)·C6H2N3O7 (-) (systematic name: 3-methyl-pyridinium 2,4,6-tri-nitro-phenolate), crystallizes in the triclinic space group P-1. The crystal structure of the monoclinic polymorph (space group P21/n) has been reported [Stilinovic & Kaitner (2011 ▸). Cryst. Growth Des. 11, 4110-4119]. In the crystal, the anion and cation are linked via bifurcated N-H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bonds, enclosing an R 1 (2)(6) graph-set motif. These units are linked via C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional framework. Within the framework there are π-π inter-actions present, involving inversion-related picrate anions and inversion-related pyridinium cations, with inter-centroid distances of 3.7389 (14) and 3.560 (2) Å, respectively.

Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C11H9NO3, contains two mol-ecules, A and B. In mol-ecule A, the dihedral angle between the planes of the naphthalene ring system (r.m.s. deviation = 0.003 Å) and the nitro group is 89.9 (2)°, and the C atom of the meth-oxy group deviates from the naphthyl plane by 0.022 (2) Å. Equivalent data for mol-ecule B are 0.008 Å, 65.9 (2)° and -0.198 (2) Å, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H⋯O inter-actions, forming [100] chains of alternating A and B mol-ecules. Weak aromatic π-π stacking contacts, with a range of centroid-centroid distances from 3.5863 (9) to 3.8048 (9) Å, are also observed.
