Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the preliminary efficacy and safety of penetrating canaloplasty for treating primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG). Methods: It is a prospective interventional case series study. Twenty-two patients (24 eyes) with PACG were treated with penetrating canaloplasty (video attached) at the Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from June 2015 to August 2018. This modified canaloplasty was performed by making a window at the corneal-scleral bed. Aqueous was redirected to the opening of Schlemm's canal after the canaloplasty with intension sutures. Postoperative follow-up was made at 1 day, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months. Surgical success was defined as intraocular pressure (IOP) ≤ 21 mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa) with glaucoma medication (quantified success) and without any glaucoma medication (complete success). Main outcome measures included IOP, number of medication, surgical success rate, complications, and filtering bleb status. One-way repeated measure ANOVA and rank sum test were used in statistical analysis. Results: Due to the failure of circumferential catheterization of the canal, 4 eyes converted to trabeculectomy. A total of 19 PACG patients (20 eyes) achieved the successful 360-degree catheterization of the canal, including 11 males and 8 females. The mean age was (54±7) years old (range: 41-65 years old), and the mean angle-closure range was (326.3±46.6) degrees. The mean preoperative IOP was (38.0±11.9) mmHg with the median medication number of 3 (range: 2-5). The mean postoperative IOP was (14.5±11.1), (16.1±6.0), (17.7±5.5), (15.7±5.0), and (15.4±3.7) mmHg at 1 day, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months, respectively. There was significant difference in IOP between postoperative and preoperative (all P<0.01). The median medication number (range) was 0 (0-3), 0 (0-2), 0(0-3), 0(0-2), and 0 (0-2) at the 5 time points, respectively. There was significant difference in medication number between postoperative and preoperative (all P<0.01). The quantified success rate was 95%(19/20), and the complete success rate was 90%(18/20) at 6 months. Postoperative complications were observed in 7 eyes (35%) of 20 PACG eyes, including 3 eyes (15%) with hyphema, 2 eyes (10%) with shallow anterior chamber, 1 eye (5%) with Descemet membrane detachment, and 1 eye (5%) with filtration obstruction at the trabeculum ostium. According to the results of slit lamp and ultrasound biomicroscopy examinations, 70% of the eyes (14/20) had no filtering bleb. Eight eyes (40%) with IOP spike were observed. Conclusion: Preliminary study shows penetrating canaloplasty is safe and effective in the treatment of PACG, but needs a longer follow-up. (Chin J Ophthalmol, 2019, 55: 448-453).

Abstract
Background Childhood eczema is variable in onset and persistence. Objectives To identify eczema phenotypes during childhood, and their associations with early‐life environmental and genetic factors. Methods In this study of 5297 children from a multiethnic population‐based prospective cohort study, phenotypes based on parent‐reported physician‐diagnosed eczema from age 6 months to 10 years were identified using latent class growth analysis. Information on environmental factors was obtained using postal questionnaires. Four filaggrin mutations were genotyped and a risk score was calculated based on 30 genetic variants. Weighted adjusted multinomial models were used for association analyses. Results We identified the following five eczema phenotypes: never (76%), early transient (8%), mid‐transient (6%) and late transient (8%) and persistent eczema (2%). Early transient and persistent eczema were most common in first‐born children, those with a parental history of eczema, allergy or asthma and those with persistent wheezing [range of odds ratio (OR): 1.37, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.07–1.74 and OR 3.38, 95%CI 1.95–5.85]. Early transient eczema was most common in male children only (OR 1·49, 95% CI 1·18–1·89). Children with late transient or persistent eczema were more often of Asian ethnicity (OR 2·04, 95% CI 1·14–3·65 and OR 3·08, 95% CI 1·34–7·10, respectively). Children with early, late transient and persistent eczema more often had a filaggrin mutation or additional risk alleles (range OR: 1.07, 95%CI 1.02–1.12 and OR 2.21, 95%CI 1.39–3.50). Eczema phenotypes were not associated with maternal education, breastfeeding, day care attendance and pet exposure. Conclusions Five eczema phenotypes were identified in a multiethnic paediatric population with limited differences in risk profiles, except for sex and ethnicity. What's already known about this topic? Two previous studies in longitudinal birth cohorts identified four and six different eczema phenotypes, predominantly in children of European ethnicity.
What does this study add? Five eczema phenotypes were identified in a multiethnic paediatric population using latent class growth analysis. Children with early transient and persistent eczema were most often first‐born children and had persistent wheezing, filaggrin mutation or additional risk alleles. Previously known eczema risk factors had limited differentiating capabilities for eczema phenotypes, except for the association of early transient eczema with male children, and late transient and persistent eczema with Asian ethnicity.

Abstract
UNLABELLED Our study focused on the associations of metabolites with BMD and osteoporosis, finding that several metabolites are associated with BMD, and metabolites combined with bone turnover markers tend to be more sensitive in distinguishing osteoporosis in both males and postmenopausal females, which might be meaningful for the early diagnosis of osteoporosis. INTRODUCTION Our study aimed to evaluate the association of metabolites with bone, trying to find new metabolic markers that are distinguishing for low bone mineral density (BMD). METHODS Our study recruited 320 participants, including 138 males and 182 postmenopausal females from the Shanghai area. Bone turnover markers (BTMs), including osteocalcin, PINP and β-CTX, and other biochemical traits were tested. BMD values of the lumber spine (L1-4), femoral neck and total hip were determined using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry and the serum metabolome profiles including 221 metabolites from five groups (acylcarnitines, amino acids, biogenic amines, glycerophospholipids, sphingolipids and hexose) were assessed by mass spectrometry. RESULTS No visual separation in the metabolic profiles between different BMD groups was observed in principal component analysis (PCA) or partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) models. We compared metabolites in three groups with different BMD levels in males and postmenopausal females separately and further filtering these metabolites via random forest-based feature selection, a commonly applied machine learning algorithm which could select the features with the greatest impact on osteoporosis, then metabolites with the highest importance (≥ 5%) (5 in males and 9 in postmenopausal females) were selected to construct better models for osteoporosis classification. After adding these selected metabolites to the model, the area under the curve (AUC) of receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves increased significantly (BTMs: AUC 0.729, 95% CI 0.647-0.802, p < 0.0001, model 1: AUC = 0.828, 95% CI 0.754-0.888, p < 0.0001; model 1 versus model of BTMs: p = 0.0158) compared to the AUC of the BTM-only model in males. Similar results were also observed in postmenopausal females (BTMs: AUC = 0.638, 95% CI 0.562-0.708, p = 0.0025; model 2: AUC = 0.741, 95% CI 0.669-0.803, p < 0.0001; model 1 versus model of BTMs: p = 0.0182). CONCLUSION Metabolites combined with traditional BTMs tend to better markers for distinguishing osteoporosis in both males and postmenopausal females than BTMs alone.

Abstract
The cross section of the process e^{+}e^{-}→π^{+}D^{0}D^{*-} for center-of-mass energies from 4.05 to 4.60 GeV is measured precisely using data samples collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. Two enhancements are clearly visible in the cross section around 4.23 and 4.40 GeV. Using several models to describe the dressed cross section yields stable parameters for the first enhancement, which has a mass of 4228.6±4.1±6.3 MeV/c^{2} and a width of 77.0±6.8±6.3 MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. Our resonant mass is consistent with previous observations of the Y(4220) state and the theoretical prediction of a DD[over ¯]_{1}(2420) molecule. This result is the first observation of Y(4220) associated with an open-charm final state. Fits with three resonance functions with additional Y(4260), Y(4320), Y(4360), ψ(4415), or a new resonance do not show significant contributions from either of these resonances. The second enhancement is not from a single known resonance. It could contain contributions from ψ(4415) and other resonances, and a detailed amplitude analysis is required to better understand this enhancement.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Emergency service vehicle incidents are a leading cause of firefighter fatalities and are also hazardous to civilian road users. Modifiable driving behaviors may be associated with emergency service vehicle incidents. The goal of this study was to use telematics to identify driving behaviors associated with crashes in the fire service. METHODS Forty-three emergency service vehicles in 2 fire departments were equipped with telematics devices (12 in Department A and 31 in Department B). The devices collected vehicle coordinates, speed, and g forces, which were monitored for exceptions to driving rules established by the fire departments regarding speeding, harsh braking, and hard cornering. Fire department administrative reports were used to identify vehicles involved in crashes and merged with daily telematics data. Penalized logistic regression was used to identify driving rules associated with crashes. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression was used to generate a telematics-based risk index for emergency service vehicle incidents. RESULTS Nearly 1.1 million km of driving data and 44 crashes were recorded among the 2 departments during the study. Harsh braking was associated with increased odds of crash in Department A (odds ratio [OR] = 2.22; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.09-4.51) and Department B (OR = 1.55; 95% CI, 1.12-2.15). For every kilometer of nonemergency speeding, the odds of crash increased by 35% in Department A (OR = 1.35; 95% CI, 1.03-1.77) and by over 2-fold in Department B (OR = 2.09; 95% CI, 1.19-3.66). In Department B, hard cornering (OR = 1.14; 95% CI, 1.03-1.26) and emergency speeding (OR = 1.65; 95% CI, 1.06-2.57) were also associated with increased odds of crash. The final LASSO risk index model had a sensitivity of 73% and specificity of 57%. CONCLUSIONS Harsh braking and excessive speeding were driving behaviors most associated with crash in the fire service. Telematics may be a useful tool for monitoring driver safety in the fire service.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the anthracyclines-induced cardiotoxicity in patients with early-stage breast cancer. Methods: This retrospective study analyzed data of 64 patients (aged from 36 to 59 years old) with early-stage breast cancer after surgery. Patients were divided into ACT group (n=21), FAC group (n=19) and EC group (n=24). The NCI CTC 4.0 scores was used to evaluate the side effects at the time of 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks after chemotherapy. Meanwhile, the level of cTnT, the incidence of abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were used to evaluate the anthracyclines-induced cardiotoxicity, the follow-up observation points were as follows: at the acute cardiotoxicity (time A), subacute cardiotoxicity (time B), 24 months after chemotherapy (time C), 36 months after chemotherapy (time D), 48 months after chemotherapy (time E), 60 months after chemotherapy (time F). The 3-years and 5-years overall survival and progress free disease survival among three groups were compared. Results: The ages, clinical stage, the size of tumor, axillary lymph node positivity and Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Scores were similar among three groups (P>0.05); the incidence of side effects level 4 was 0. The levels of cTnT in the three groups were significantly lower than those at the baseline and time points C, D, E and F (all P<0.05), and the levels of cTnT were significantly higher in EC group than in FAC and ACT group at the time points B, C, D, E and F (P<0.05); however, the incidence of abnormal ECG and LVEF was similar among the 3 groups (P>0.05). The 5-year overall survival was 95.2% (20/21) ,100% (19/19) and 95.8% (23/24) in ACT group, FAC group and EC group, respectively; 5-year progress free disease survival was 95.2% (20/21) ,94.7% (18/19) and 91.7% (22/24) in ACT group, FAC group and EC group, respectively (P>0.05) . Conclusions: Patients with early-stage breast cancer after surgery could tolerate the anthracyclines-induced cardiotoxicity. Three chemotherapy schemes of ACT, FAC and EC, especially the EC protocol, could affect the myocardial damage. However, outcome is comparable among patients treated with above chemotherapy schemes in this patient cohort.

Abstract
Real-time tracking of multiple particles is key for quantitative analysis of dynamic biophysical processes and materials science via time-lapse microscopy image data, especially for single molecule biophysical techniques, such as magnetic tweezers and centrifugal force microscopy. However, real-time multiple particle tracking with high resolution is limited by the current imaging processes or tracking algorithms. Here, we demonstrate 1 nm resolution in three dimensions in real-time with a graphics-processing unit (GPU) based on a compute unified device architecture (CUDA) parallel computing framework instead of only a central processing unit (CPU). We also explore the trade-offs between processing speed and size of the utilized regions of interest and a maximum speedup of 137 is achieved with the GPU compared with the CPU. Moreover, we utilize this method with our recently self-built centrifugal force microscope (CFM) in experiments that track multiple DNA-tethered particles. Our approach paves the way for high-throughput single molecule techniques with high resolution and efficiency. LAY DESCRIPTION: Particles are widely used as probes in life sciences through their motions. In single molecule techniques such as optical tweezers and magnetic tweezers, microbeads are used to study intermolecular or intramolecular interactions via beads tracking. Also tracking multiple beads' motions could study cell-cell or cell-ECM interactions in traction force microscopy. Therefore, particle tracking is of key important during these researches. However, parallel 3D multiple particle tracking in real-time with high resolution is a challenge either due to the algorithm or the program. Here, we combine the performance of CPU and CUDA-based GPU to make a hybrid implementation for particle tracking. In this way, a speedup of 137 is obtained compared the program before only with CPU without loss of accuracy. Moreover, we improve and build a new centrifugal force microscope for multiple single molecule force spectroscopy research in parallel. Then we employed our program into centrifugal force microscope for DNA stretching study. Our results not only demonstrate the application of this program in single molecule techniques, also indicate the capability of multiple single molecule study with centrifugal force microscopy.

Abstract
Introduction: Almost all epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) will develop tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) resistance. The treatment of oligoprogression is debatable after TKIs resistance. We conducted a real-world retrospective study to evaluate the efficacy of radiotherapy and continuation of TKIs in advanced NSCLC patients with oligoprogressive disease after EGFR-TKIs. Methods: From January 2011 to January 2018, we retrospectively analyzed EGFR-mutated NSCLC patients with oligoprogression in our institution. 33 patients were treated by radiotherapy and continuation of TKIs. We used Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression model to analyze the prognostic factors of progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) from the time of oligoprogression. Variables we selected for analyses included gender, age, smoking status, performance status (PS) score, stage at initial diagnosis, initial resectable, radiotherapy dose, EGFR mutation type, number of metastasis, sites of radiation, T790M status, time of oligometastasis to radiotherapy. Results: 33 patients develop resistance to EGFR TKIs at a median time of 11.0 months. The mPFS and mOS were 6.5 and 21.0 months, respectively. T790M mutation was tested in 8 patients. The mPFS was 11.3 months in T790M mutation positive patients and 6.0 months in negative patients. The mPFS of patients with brain, lung, and bone metastases were 5.7, 6.0, and 13.0 months, respectively. The mPFS in patients who started radiotherapy within or beyond 1 month after oligometastasis was 11.0 months and 5.3 months. The mPFS of patients with postoperative recurrence and initial unresectable were 13.0 and 6.0 months, respectively. Patients with 1 or more than 1 metastatic site showed a mPFS of 11.0 and 4.4 months, respectively. Those who had EGRF exon 21 mutation achieved a mPFS of 11.3 months, whereas those with EGRF exon 19 mutation did worse with a mPFS of 6.5 months. Cox regression model showed no variables significantly correlated with PFS difference. Univariate analysis identified age and smoking status were significantly associated with OS. The results of multivariate analysis indicated that there was no OS-related prognostic factors. Conclusion: Radiotherapy with continued TKIs is an efficacious treatment option in our patients. Age and smoking status were prognostic factors for OS. Our research showed that there was a better survival in patients with T790M mutation, EGRF exon 21 mutation, radiotherapy within 1 month after oligometastasis and bone metastases. However, this was not statistically significant. Prospective studies are needed to validate these clinical results.

Abstract
Based on an e^{+}e^{-} collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 567 pb^{-1} taken at the center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=4.6 GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the absolute branching fraction of the inclusive decay Λ_{c}^{+}→Λ+X to be B(Λ_{c}^{+}→Λ+X)=(38.2_{-2.2}^{+2.8}±0.9)% using the double-tag method, where X refers to any possible final state particles. In addition, we search for direct CP violation in the charge asymmetry of this inclusive decay for the first time, and obtain A_{CP}≡[B(Λ_{c}^{+}→Λ+X)-B(Λ[over ¯]_{c}^{-}→Λ[over ¯]+X)]/[B(Λ_{c}^{+}→Λ+X)+B(Λ[over ¯]_{c}^{-}→Λ[over ¯]+X)]=(2.1_{-6.6}^{+7.0}±1.6)%, a statistically limited result with no evidence of CP violation.

Abstract
We report the first observation of a_{0}^{0}(980)-f_{0}(980) mixing in the decays of J/ψ→ϕf_{0}(980)→ϕa_{0}^{0}(980)→ϕηπ^{0} and χ_{c1}→a_{0}^{0}(980)π^{0}→f_{0}(980)π^{0}→π^{+}π^{-}π^{0}, using data samples of 1.31×10^{9} J/ψ events and 4.48×10^{8} ψ(3686) events accumulated with the BESIII detector. The signals of f_{0}(980)→a_{0}^{0}(980) and a_{0}^{0}(980)→f_{0}(980) mixing are observed at levels of statistical significance of 7.4σ and 5.5σ, respectively. The corresponding branching fractions and mixing intensities are measured and the constraint regions on the coupling constants, g_{a_{0}K^{+}K^{-}} and g_{f_{0}K^{+}K^{-}}, are estimated. The results improve the understanding of the nature of a_{0}^{0}(980) and f_{0}(980).

Abstract
BACKGROUND The treatment gap between the number of people with mental disorders and the number treated represents a major public health challenge. We examine this gap by socio-economic status (SES; indicated by family income and respondent education) and service sector in a cross-national analysis of community epidemiological survey data. METHODS Data come from 16 753 respondents with 12-month DSM-IV disorders from community surveys in 25 countries in the WHO World Mental Health Survey Initiative. DSM-IV anxiety, mood, or substance disorders and treatment of these disorders were assessed with the WHO Composite International Diagnostic Interview (CIDI). RESULTS Only 13.7% of 12-month DSM-IV/CIDI cases in lower-middle-income countries, 22.0% in upper-middle-income countries, and 36.8% in high-income countries received treatment. Highest-SES respondents were somewhat more likely to receive treatment, but this was true mostly for specialty mental health treatment, where the association was positive with education (highest treatment among respondents with the highest education and a weak association of education with treatment among other respondents) but non-monotonic with income (somewhat lower treatment rates among middle-income respondents and equivalent among those with high and low incomes). CONCLUSIONS The modest, but nonetheless stronger, an association of education than income with treatment raises questions about a financial barriers interpretation of the inverse association of SES with treatment, although future within-country analyses that consider contextual factors might document other important specifications. While beyond the scope of this report, such an expanded analysis could have important implications for designing interventions aimed at increasing mental disorder treatment among socio-economically disadvantaged people.

Abstract
Using a low background data sample of 9.7×10^{5} J/ψ→γη^{'}, η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} events, which are 2 orders of magnitude larger than those from the previous experiments, recorded with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, the decay dynamics of η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} are studied with both model-dependent and model-independent approaches. The contributions of ω and the ρ(770)-ω interference are observed for the first time in the decays η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} in both approaches. Additionally, a contribution from the box anomaly or the ρ(1450) resonance is required in the model-dependent approach, while the process specific part of the decay amplitude is determined in the model-independent approach.

Abstract
The structure of deformed neutron-rich nuclei in the rare-earth region is of significant interest for both the astrophysics and nuclear structure fields. At present, a complete explanation for the observed peak in the elemental abundances at A∼160 eludes astrophysicists, and models depend on accurate quantities, such as masses, lifetimes, and branching ratios of deformed neutron-rich nuclei in this region. Unusual nuclear structure effects are also observed, such as the unexpectedly low energies of the first 2^{+} levels in some even-even nuclei at N=98. In order to address these issues, mass and β-decay spectroscopy measurements of the ^{160}Eu_{97} and ^{162}Eu_{99} nuclei were performed at the Californium Rare Isotope Breeder Upgrade radioactive beam facility at Argonne National Laboratory. Evidence for a gap in the single-particle neutron energies at N=98 and for large deformation (β_{2}∼0.3) is discussed in relation to the unusual phenomena observed at this neutron number.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Religiosity is often associated with better health outcomes. The aim of the study was to examine associations between psychotic experiences (PEs) and religiosity in a large, cross-national sample. METHODS A total of 25 542 adult respondents across 18 countries from the WHO World Mental Health Surveys were assessed for PEs, religious affiliation and indices of religiosity, DSM-IV mental disorders and general medical conditions. Logistic regression models were used to estimate the association between PEs and religiosity with various adjustments. RESULTS Of 25 542 included respondents, 85.6% (SE = 0.3) (n = 21 860) respondents reported having a religious affiliation. Overall, there was no association between religious affiliation status and PEs. Within the subgroup having a religious affiliation, four of five indices of religiosity were significantly associated with increased odds of PEs (odds ratios ranged from 1.3 to 1.9). The findings persisted after adjustments for mental disorders and/or general medical conditions, as well as religious denomination type. There was a significant association between increased religiosity and reporting more types of PEs. CONCLUSIONS Among individuals with religious affiliations, those who reported more religiosity on four of five indices had increased odds of PEs. Focussed and more qualitative research will be required to unravel the interrelationship between religiosity and PEs.

Abstract
Background: Clinical panel testing has become routine practice for patients that are diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age and/or have a personal or family history of cancer. Associations with known breast cancer genes and breast cancer subtypes have been previously identified, such as BRCA1 associations with estrogen receptor negative (ER-) and triple negative (ER-/PR-/HER2-) breast cancers. However, the cancer predisposition genes associated with each of the four clinical subtypes of breast cancer have not been fully defined. We evaluated 24,901 Caucasian female breast cancer cases receiving clinical panel testing for 23 cancer predisposition genes and assessed associations between mutations in each gene and breast cancer subtypes.
Methods: Germline hereditary cancer multigene panel testing results for cancer predisposition genes were obtained for 24,901 Caucasian female breast cancer cases evaluated by a clinical testing laboratory. Information on tumor histology, personal and family history of cancer, age at diagnosis, and previous genetic testing was provided by clinical care providers of patients receiving clinical cancer genetic testing. Breast cancer cases were classified into clinical breast cancer subtypes based on estrogen/progesterone hormone receptor status (HR) and HER2 status: Luminal A (HR+/HER2-), Luminal B (HR+/HER2-), HER2 subtype (HR-/HER2+), and Triple Negative (HR-/HER2-). The frequency of pathogenic or likely pathogenic mutations observed in each subtype was compared against the Exome Aggregation Consortium (ExAC) non-TCGA non-Finnish European population to estimate risks.
Results: ATM was associated with moderate risks (odds ratio (OR)>2.0) of Luminal A, Luminal B, and HER2 subtypes of breast cancer, but was not associated with the Triple Negative subtype. PALB2 was associated with moderate risk for Luminal B subtype, but high risk (OR>5.0) for Luminal A, HER2, and triple negative subtypes. TP53 was associated with high risks for Luminal B and HER2 tumors. NBN, MRE11A, and RAD50 were not associated with any subtype of breast cancer.
Conclusions: Identifying associations between inherited mutations (odds ratio (OR)>2.0) and breast cancer subtypes can inform clinical risk management, treatment options, and therapeutic development efforts.

Abstract
Background: Germline cancer testing panels provide an effective method for identifying individuals at increased risk for breast cancer. However, estimates of risk for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) (estrogen receptor-negative, progesterone receptor-negative, HER2-negative) associated with pathogenic mutations in panel genes have not been established. We sought to define the genes that contribute to TNBC.
Methods:Germline hereditary cancer multigene panel testing results were obtained for 8,753 TNBCs evaluated by a clinical testing laboratory. Associations between pathogenic mutations in individual genes and TNBC were assessed by comparing mutation frequencies in TNBCs and in the Exome Aggregation Consortium, non-Finn European, non-Cancer Genome Atlas reference controls.
Results: Inactivating mutations in 21 known cancer predisposition genes were identified in 14.6% of TNBCs. BRCA1, BRCA2, PALB2, BARD1, and RAD51D alterations were associated with high risks (odds ratio(OR)>5.0) of TNBC and variants in BRIP1, RAD51C, MSH6, and TP53 were associated with moderate risks (OR>2). In contrast, ATM, CHEK2, NBN, and RAD50 yielded no clinically relevant risks of TNBC. Pathogenic mutations in these established non-BRCA1/2 TNBC susceptibility genes were detected in 6.3% of TNBCs. Similar trends were observed among African American TNBCs. Overall, 5.5% of TNBCs with pathogenic mutations did not meet NCCN clinical testing criteria for BRCA1/2 due to a lack of significant family history and diagnosis over the age of 60.
Conclusions: The identification of genes associated with elevated risk of TNBC will improve understanding of the etiology of this aggressive form of breast cancer and inform risk management of individuals receiving panel testing. The high frequency of pathogenic variants suggests that all patients with TNBC, regardless of age of diagnosis or family history of cancer, should be considered for multigene panel testing.

Abstract
The discontinuity of medium at the boundary produces optically anisotropic response which makes reflectance difference microscopy (RDM) a potential method for nanometre-thickness microstructure measurements. Here, we present the methodology of RDM for the edge measurement of ultrathin microstructure. The RD signal of microstructure's boundary is mathematically deduced according to boundary condition and polarization optics theory. A normal-incidence RDM setup was built simply with one linear polarizer, one liquid crystal variable retarder and one 5 × objective. Then, the performance of the developed setup was identified using homogenous reflection mirror and high quality linear polarizer. For demonstration, microstructures array with 100 nm step height was measured. The results show that the RD signal is sensitive to the edge and its sign reflects the change direction of the edge. Furthermore, a height sensitivity of better than 10 nm and a spatial resolution of ∼3 μm offer this technique a good candidate for characterizing ultrathin microstructures.

Abstract
AIMS The wblA gene, encoding a homologue of the WhiB family protein, was identified in the sequenced genome of daptomycin producer Streptomyces roseosporus. To explore the function of wblA, we construct wblA disruption strains, complemented strains and overexpression strains to test whether it can affect the production of secondary metabolites and morphogenesis. METHODS AND RESULTS We constructed disruption strains by homologous recombination in S. roseosporus. The disruption mutant of wblA could block aerial mycelium sporulation and enhance the production of daptomycin by 51%. In contrast, overexpression of wblA resulted in significantly decreased the yield of daptomycin. In agreement with it, the transcription of key daptomycin regulatory genes atrA, dptR2 and dptR3 and structural gene dptE remarkably increased in the wblA disruption mutant. CONCLUSIONS wblA plays a key role in control of daptomycin biosynthesis and is essential for sporulation. The disruption of wblA could accumulate the transcription level of some key genes involving in daptomycin biosynthesis. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY Daptomycin is an important antibiotic with potent activity against a variety of Gram-positive pathogens. This study demonstrates that valuable improvement in the yield of daptomycin can be achieved through modulating the expression of wblA transcription regulator.

Comparative Study for the Association of Mitochondrial Haplogroup F+ and Metabolic Syndrome between Longevity and Control Population in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Abstract
BACKGROUND Our previous study suggested that mitochondrial haplogroup F (mtDNA F) was a longevity-associated biomarker, but the effect of mitochondrial haplogroup F on longevity individuals with metabolic syndrome (MetS) was not clear. Thus we explored the association between mtDNA F and MetS among longevity and control population in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. METHOD A total of 793 individuals consisting of 307 long-lived participants and 486 local healthy controls were involved in this study. Genotypes of mtDNA F were amplified by polymerase chain reaction and Sanger sequenced. MetS was defined according to the revised National Cholesterol Education Program's Adult Treatment Panel III (NCEP ATPIII ) criteria. RESULTS The prevalence of MetS in longevity group (28.0%) was higher than that (18.5%) in control group (P=0.002). Through the case-control stratify analysis, the prevalence of MetS in mtDNA F+ longevity individuals (29.8%) was 4.6 fold higher than that (5.3%) in local control group (P<0.001). However, after further longevity-only analysis, no association between MetS and mtDNA F+ in longevity group was observed (P=0.167). Following same analysis of two variables in control group, we found that the prevalence of MetS in mtDNA F- (95.8%) was higher than that in mtDNA F+ (5.3%); conversely, the prevalence of non-metabolic syndrome (NMetS) in mtDNA F+ (94.7%) was markedly higher than that in mtDNA F- (4.2%) (P<0.001). CONCLUSION We demonstrated that mtDNA F+ , as a molecuar biomarker, might not only confer beneficial effect to resistance against MetS but also function as a positive factor for long-life span among the population in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
