Abstract
BackgroundCT-P13 is an approved biosimilar to EU-approved and US-licensed Infliximab (INX) for the indications of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), adult and paediatric Crohn’s disease, adult and paediatric ulcerative colitis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis.ObjectivesThe purpose of this study was to demonstrate equivalence of efficacy and compare PK and safety profiles of CT-P13 and China-approved INX.MethodsIn this randomized, double blinded, multicenter, parallel-group, phase III study, patients with active RA who had been responding inadequately to methotrexate for at least 3 months, were randomized to receive either CT-P13 or China-approved INX. Patients were treated with doses of 3 mg/kg at Weeks 0, 2, 6, then every 8 weeks up to Week 54. Prior to dosing at Week 30, patients randomized to China-approved INX underwent a second randomization either to continue China-approved INX or to switch to CT-P13 at Week 30. Results of patients who underwent transition to CT-P13 were included in the China-approved INX group. The primary efficacy endpoint was change in DAS28 (CRP) from baseline to Week 14, which was analyzed using an analysis of covariance. Equivalence was determined if the 90% CI for the estimate of treatment difference was entirely contained within the predefined equivalence margin of -0.6 to 0.6.Results270 patients were randomly assigned to 2 treatment groups in a 1:1 ratio (136 and 134 patients in the CT-P13 and China-approved INX groups, respectively) and 184 patients completed the study. The least square mean change (standard error) of DAS28 (CRP) from baseline to Week 14, -1.566 [0.1419] and -1.547 [0.1491], was similar between the CT-P13 and China-approved INX groups, respectively. The 90% CI for the estimate of treatment difference (-0.29, 0.25) was contained within the predefined equivalence margin, which demonstrated therapeutic equivalence between the groups. The mean actual values for DAS28 (CRP) decreased from baseline to Week 54 and were similar between the groups (Figure 1). Additional efficacy endpoints, including ACR responses (ACR20 at Week 14; 60.6%, 54.8% and at Week 54; 65.1%, 60.6% in the CT-P13 and China-approved INX groups, respectively), EULAR responses, CDAI, and SDAI, were similar between the groups, even after switching at Week 30. During the study, mean serum INX concentrations were similar between the groups. Between Weeks 14 and 22, mean (percent coefficient of variation) AUCτ were 11156333.615 (44.796) ng·h/mL and 11462884.280 (51.057) ng·h/mL, and Cmax,ss were 66577.2 (31.4) ng/mL and 66356.1 (21.0) ng/mL in the CT-P13 and China-approved INX groups, respectively, which were similar between the groups. Most treatment-emergent AEs were grade 1 or 2 in intensity. One malignancy was reported in the CT-P13 group and no deaths were reported. The proportions of patients with anti-drug antibodies were similar between the groups, even after switching at Week 30. The overall safety profile of CT-P13 was comparable to that of China-approved INX and no new safety issues were observed (Table 1).Table 1.Summary of Safety ResultsNumber of patients (%)CT-P13 (N=136)China-approved Infliximab (N=133)Treatment-emergent AEsTotal115 (84.6%)107 (80.5%)Related97 (71.3%)86 (64.7%)Treatment-emergent serious AEsTotal17 (12.5%)12 (9.0%)Related10 (7.4%)6 (4.5%)Infusion related reaction/ hypersensitivity/anaphylactic reactionsTotal(=Related)20 (14.7%)19 (14.3%)InfectionsTotal45 (33.1%)43 (32.3%)Related36 (26.5%)40 (30.1%)Note: Summary is presented for the safety population who received at least 1 dose (full or partial) of study drug.ConclusionThe study demonstrated that efficacy of CT-P13 is equivalent to that of China-approved INX. Abstract
Background:Bullous systemic lupus erythematosus (BSLE) is a rare subtype of systemic lupus erythematosus, accounting for less than 1% of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) [1]. It is common in adults aged 20 to 40, with female predominace [2]. Its skin manifestations are mainly tensive blisters, especially involving oral and genital mucosa, Nissl’s sign is mostly negative, blisters break and heal to form pigmentation of varying degrees, leaving no scar. At present, the main treatment is systemic application of corticosteroids combined with immunosuppressants. Here, we report a BSLE who successfully treated with mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) combined with glucocorticoid.ObjectivesTo be vigilant in the early identification of BSLE, and through the treatment experience of this case, it can provide a basis for the use of Mycophanol ester as the preferred drug for the treatment of BSLE in the future.MethodsThe clinical manifestation, laboratory test, treatment, and outcome were described.ResultsA 50-year-old female patient with systemic lupus erythematosus presented with wandering joint pain for 1 year and sporadic patchy erythema on eyelid, hands, and neck for 7 months. There are blisters on part of her erythema and normal skin, about 1mm-15mm in diameter, the blister fluid is cool, fusion is broken, and Nissl’s sign is negative. She suffered from anemia, albuminuria, polyserous effusion and other system damage. Skin histopathology showed mild hyperkeratosis of epidermis, formation of subepidermal blisters and accumulation of a large number of neutrophils; direct immunofluorescence showed that the positive expressions of IgA, IgG and C3 were found in the basement membrane of the skin, leading to a diagnosis of BSLE. In the initial stage, patients were treated with high-dose glucocorticoid (160 mg, qd) combined with immunosuppressants (thalidomide and hydroxychloroquine), but the number of blisters increased. After treatment with MMF (1 g, bid), the skin lesions disappeared, joint pain relieved, anemia was corrected, and polyserous effusion was absorbed. She was followed up for half a year and there was no recurrence.ConclusionPatients with BSLE are often accompanied by multiple system damage [2], so it is critical to correctly identify BSLE and provide appropriate treatment as soon as possible. For patients who do not respond to single glucocorticoid therapy, combined with MMF can be used as the preferred drug for the treatment of BSLE in the future.References:[1] L. Abstract
7552 Background: Effective treatment choices for patients (pts) with relapsed/refractory (R/R) mature T/NK-cell neoplasms after failure of standard therapies are limited. Tislelizumab (TIS), a humanized anti-PD-1 mAb, demonstrated outstanding efficacy and favorable safety in pts with R/R classical Hodgkin lymphoma or solid tumors. We present safety and efficacy of the phase 2 study of TIS in pts with R/R mature T/NK-cell neoplasms. Methods: Pts were enrolled into 3 cohorts stratified by the type of T/NK-cell neoplasm to receive TIS 200 mg intravenously every 3 weeks until disease progression or intolerable toxicity. Eligible pts had ≥1 prior systemic therapy, disease progression during/after most recent therapy completion or refractory disease, ECOG ≤2, and life expectancy ≥6 mo. Primary endpoint was investigator-assessed overall response rate (ORR). Secondary endpoints included duration of response (DoR), complete response (CR) rate, progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS) in cohorts 1 and 2, and safety. Results: 77 pts were treated. Cohort 1: R/R extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (n = 22); cohort 2: R/R mature T-cell neoplasms (n = 44; 21 peripheral T-cell lymphoma not otherwise specified; 11 angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma; 12 anaplastic large cell lymphoma); cohort 3: R/R cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL; stage ≥1B; n = 11; 8 mycosis fungoides and 3 Sézary syndrome). Of all pts, 76.6% had advanced-stage disease, 51.9% had refractory disease, and 49.4% had ≥3 prior systemic regimens. Median treatment cycles for cohorts 1, 2, and 3 were 5 (range, 1-37), 4.5 (range, 1-38), and 17 (range, 3-25), respectively. Cohort 3 had promising efficacy (median follow-up [FU] 16.6 mo): ORR 45.5%; CR 9.1%; median DoR 11.3 mo (95% CI: 2.76-11.30); median PFS 16.8 mo; median OS not reached (NR). Modest efficacy was reported in cohort 1 (median FU 8.4 mo): ORR 31.8%; CR 18.2%; median DoR NR (95% CI: 2.66-not estimable [NE]); median PFS 2.7 mo; median OS 8.8 mo and also in cohort 2 (median FU 9.3 mo): ORR 20.5%; CR 9.1%; median DoR 8.2 mo (95% CI: 2.50-NE); median PFS 2.7 mo; median OS 13.3 mo. Most frequent adverse events (AEs) were pyrexia (32.5%), anemia (18.2%), arthralgia (18.2%), and diarrhea (15.6%); most frequent grade ≥3 AEs were anemia (7.8%), pneumonia (6.5%), and neutropenia (5.2%). Any grade immune-mediated AEs occurred in 22 (28.6%) pts, most frequently hypothyroidism (10.4%), hyperglycemia (5.2%), and rash (5.2%); and grade ≥3 in 4 (5.2%) pts (blood creatine phosphokinase increased, hepatitis, hypothyroidism, rash, and urticaria [1 pt each]). No treatment-related AEs led to death. Conclusions: TIS was well tolerated, achieving modest efficacy in R/R mature T/NK-cell neoplasms, with some long-lasting remissions particularly in CTCL. Further studies are warranted to determine the biologic features associated with response and explore optimal combination therapies. Clinical trial information: NCT03493451.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the expression of aldehyde dehydrogenase 3B1 (ALDH3B1) in gastric cancer and explore its correlation with the pathological parameters and long-term prognosis of the patients. METHODS We analyzed the clinical data of 101 patients who underwent radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer in our hospital between January, 2013 and November, 2016, and examined the expression of ALDH3B1 in paraffin-embedded samples of gastric cancer tissues and adjacent tissues from these cases by immunohistochemical staining. We evaluated the correlation between ALDH3B1 expressions and histopathological parameters and assessed the predictive value of ALDH3B1 expression for long-term survival of the patients. We also examined the effect of lentivirus-mediated interference and overexpression of ALDH3B1 on the malignant behaviors of MGC-803 gastric cancer cells. RESULTS The expressions of ALDH3B1 and Ki67 were significantly higher in gastric cancer tissues than in adjacent tissues (P < 0.05). In gastric cancer patients, ALDH3B1 expression was positively correlated with peripheral blood CEA and CA19-9 levels (P < 0.01). The proportion of patients with CEA ≥5 μg/L, CA19-9 ≥37 kU/L, T stage of 3- 4, and N stage of 2-3 was significantly greater in high ALDH3B1 expression group than in low expression group. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the 5-year survival rate was significantly lower in gastric cancer patients with high ALDH3B1 expressions (P < 0.01). Univariate and Cox multiple regression analyses identified a high expression of ALDH3B1 (P < 0.05, HR= 0.231, 95% CI: 0.064-0.826), CEA≥5 μg/L (P < 0.01, HR=4.478, 95% CI: 1.530-13.110), CA19-9≥37 kU/L (P < 0.01, HR=3.877, 95% CI: 1.625-9.247), T stage of 3-4 (P < 0.01, HR=4.953, 95% CI: 1.768-13.880), and N stage of 2-3 (P < 0.05, HR=2.152, 95% CI: 1.152-4.022) as independent risk factors affecting 5-year survival after radical gastrectomy. The relative ALDH3B1 expression level, at the cut-off point of 4.66, showed a sensitivity of 76.47% and a specificity of 76% for predicting 5-year postoperative death (P < 0.01). In the cell experiment, overexpression of ALDH3B1 obviously promoted the proliferation, migration and invasion of MGC-803 cells. CONCLUSION As an independent risk factor affecting 5-year survival after radical gastrectomy, ALDH3B1 is highly expressed in gastric cancer and correlated with pathological parameters of the tumor, and a high ALDH3B1 expression may promote proliferation, invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer cells.

Tests of Lepton Universality Using B^{0}→K_{S}^{0}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} and B^{+}→K^{*+}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} Decays. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 128:191802. Abstract
Tests of lepton universality in B^{0}→K_{S}^{0}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} and B^{+}→K^{*+}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} decays where ℓ is either an electron or a muon are presented. The differential branching fractions of B^{0}→K_{S}^{0}e^{+}e^{-} and B^{+}→K^{*+}e^{+}e^{-} decays are measured in intervals of the dilepton invariant mass squared. The measurements are performed using proton-proton collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1} . The results are consistent with the standard model and previous tests of lepton universality in related decay modes. The first observation of B^{0}→K_{S}^{0}e^{+}e^{-} and B^{+}→K^{*+}e^{+}e^{-} decays is reported.

Observation of the Decay Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ}. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 128:191803. [PMID: 35622037 DOI: 10.1103/physrevlett.128.191803] [Citation(s) in RCA: 1] [Impact Index Per Article: 0.5] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 01/11/2022] [Accepted: 03/29/2022] [Indexed: 06/15/2023]
Abstract
The first observation of the semileptonic b-baryon decay Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ}, with a significance of 6.1σ, is reported using a data sample corresponding to 3 fb^{-1} of integrated luminosity, collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV at the LHC. The τ^{-} lepton is reconstructed in the hadronic decay to three charged pions. The ratio K=B(Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ})/B(Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}π^{-}π^{+}π^{-}) is measured to be 2.46±0.27±0.40, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The branching fraction B(Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ})=(1.50±0.16±0.25±0.23)% is obtained, where the third uncertainty is from the external branching fraction of the normalization channel Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}π^{-}π^{+}π^{-}. The ratio of semileptonic branching fractions R(Λ_{c}^{+})≡B(Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}τ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{τ})/B(Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}μ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ}) is derived to be 0.242±0.026±0.040±0.059, where the external branching fraction uncertainty from the channel Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}μ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ} contributes to the last term. This result is in agreement with the standard model prediction.

Observation of Two New Excited Ξ_{b}^{0} States Decaying to Λ_{b}^{0}K^{-}π^{+}. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 128:162001. [PMID: 35522517 DOI: 10.1103/physrevlett.128.162001] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 10/13/2021] [Revised: 02/09/2022] [Accepted: 03/23/2022] [Indexed: 06/14/2023]
Abstract
Two narrow resonant states are observed in the Λ_{b}^{0}K^{-}π^{+} mass spectrum using a data sample of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, collected by the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb^{-1}. The minimal quark content of the Λ_{b}^{0}K^{-}π^{+} system indicates that these are excited Ξ_{b}^{0} baryons. The masses of the Ξ_{b}(6327)^{0} and Ξ_{b}(6333)^{0} states are m[Ξ_{b}(6327)^{0}]=6327.28_{-0.21}^{+0.23}±0.12±0.24 and m[Ξ_{b}(6333)^{0}]=6332.69_{-0.18}^{+0.17}±0.03±0.22 MeV, respectively, with a mass splitting of Δm=5.41_{-0.27}^{+0.26}±0.12 MeV, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the Λ_{b}^{0} mass measurement. The measured natural widths of these states are consistent with zero, with upper limits of Γ[Ξ_{b}(6327)^{0}]<2.20(2.56) and Γ[Ξ_{b}(6333)^{0}]<1.60(1.92) MeV at a 90% (95%) credibility level. The significance of the two-peak hypothesis is larger than nine (five) Gaussian standard deviations compared to the no-peak (one-peak) hypothesis. The masses, widths, and resonant structure of the new states are in good agreement with the expectations for a doublet of 1D Ξ_{b}^{0} resonances.

Abstract
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a common hematologic malignancy. To this day, diagnose of AML and its genetic mutation still rely on invasive and time-consuming methods. In this study, 222 plasma samples were collected to discuss the performance of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) to discriminate AML subtype acute promyelocytic leukemia and acute monocytic leukemia based on plasma. The Ag nanoparticles-based SERS technique was used to explore the biochemical differences among different AML subtypes. With the help of powerful supervised and unsupervised algorithms, the performance using the whole spectra and band intensities was confirmed to identify different subtypes of AML. The results demonstrated the intensities of several bands and band-intensity ratios were significantly different between groups, thus related to the discrimination of several AML subtypes and control. Combining indexes of band-intensity ratios, the result of multi-indexes ROC has excellent performance in differentiating AML patient with healthy control. Our work demonstrated the great potential of SERS technique as a rapid and micro detection method in clinical laboratory field, it's a new and powerful tool for analyzing human blood plasma.

Cost-effectiveness analysis of axicabtagene ciloleucel vs. salvage chemotherapy for relapsed or refractory adult diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in China. Support Care Cancer 2022; 30:6113-6121. [PMID: 35419735 DOI: 10.1007/s00520-022-07041-2] [Citation(s) in RCA: 2] [Impact Index Per Article: 1.0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [MESH Headings] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 01/03/2022] [Accepted: 04/04/2022] [Indexed: 11/30/2022]
Abstract
PURPOSE Axicabtagene ciloleucel (Axi-Cel, 2 × 106 CAR-T cells/kg, single intravenous injection) is a chimeric antigen receptor cell immunotherapy that exhibits favorable clinical efficacy and safety in patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (R/R DLBCL). However, this treatment is expensive in China. This study aimed to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of Axi-Cel versus salvage chemotherapy for the treatment of R/R DLBCL from the perspective of the Chinese healthcare system. METHODS A decision analysis model containing a short-term decision tree and long-term semi-Markov partitioned survival model was developed. The time horizon was 40 years and the period from 10 to 40 years was included in sensitivity analysis. The model was developed based on data from the ZUMA-1 and SCHOLAR-1 trials. Life years, quality-adjusted life years (QALYs), overall costs, and the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) were estimated at a willingness to pay (WTP) threshold of US $31,320 per QALY, which is three times the gross domestic product per capita. RESULTS The base case analysis revealed that treatment with Axi-Cel is associated with an increased overall cost of US $175,380 and improved effectiveness of 3.43 LYs and 2.61 QALYs compared to salvage chemotherapy, leading to an ICER of US $51,190 per LY and US $67,250 per QALY. The developed model is sensitive to the discount rate, utility of progression-free survival (PFS), and cost of Axi-Cel. The ICER of Axi-Cel was greater than the WTP threshold in the sensitivity and scenario analyses. To achieve cost-effectiveness, the price of Axi-Cel must be reduced by 59.19% to US $71,000. CONCLUSION At its current price, Axi-Cel is not likely to be a cost-effective option compared to salvage chemotherapy for adult patients with R/R DLBCL.

Abstract
The production of prompt charged particles in proton-lead collisions and in proton-proton collisions at the nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy sqrt[s_{NN}]=5 TeV is studied at LHCb as a function of pseudorapidity (η) and transverse momentum (p_{T}) with respect to the proton beam direction. The nuclear modification factor for charged particles is determined as a function of η between -4.8<η<-2.5 (backward region) and 2.0<η<4.8 (forward region), and p_{T} between 0.2<p_{T}<8.0 GeV/c. The results show a suppression of charged particle production in proton-lead collisions relative to proton-proton collisions in the forward region and an enhancement in the backward region for p_{T} larger than 1.5 GeV/c. This measurement constrains nuclear PDFs and saturation models at previously unexplored values of the parton momentum fraction down to 10^{-6}.

Abstract
Thrombocytopenia is a multifactorial condition that frequently involves concomitant defects in platelet production and clearance. The physiopathology of low platelet count in thrombocytopenia remains unclear. Sialylation on platelet membrane glycoprotein and follicular helper T cells (TFHs) are thought to be the novel platelet clearance pathways. The aim of this study was to clarify the roles of platelet desialylation and circulating TFHs in patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and non-ITP thrombocytopenia. We enrolled 190 patients with ITP and 94 patients with non-ITP related thrombocytopenia including case of aplastic anemia (AA) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). One hundred and ten healthy volunteers were included as controls. We found significantly increased desialylated platelets in patients with ITP or thrombocytopenia in the context of AA and MDS. Platelet desialylation was negatively correlated with platelet count. Meanwhile, the circulating TFH levels in patients with thrombocytopenia were significantly higher than those of normal controls, and were positively correlated with desialylated platelet levels. Moreover, TFHs-related chemokine CXCL13 and apoptotic platelet levels were abnormally high in ITP patients. The upregulation of pro-apoptotic proteins and the activation of the MAPK/mTOR pathway were observed in the same cohort. These findings suggested that platelet desialylation and circulating TFHs may become the potential biomarkers for evaluating the disease process associated with thrombocytopenia in patients with ITP and non-ITP.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Bacterial communities within built environments reflect differences in sources of bacteria, building design, and environmental contexts. These communities impact the health of their occupants in many ways. Children interact with the built environment differently than do adults as a result of their unique behaviors, size, and developmental status. Consequently, understanding the broader bacterial community to which children are exposed will help inform public health efforts and contribute to our growing understanding of the bacterial community associated with childcare centers. METHODS We sampled childcare centers to survey the variation in bacterial community composition across five surfaces found inside and outside twelve classrooms and six centers using 16S rRNA marker gene amplicon sequencing. We then correlated these bacterial community analyses of surfaces with environmental and demographic measures of illumination and classroom occupant density. RESULTS The childcare environment was dominated by human-associated bacteria with modest input from outdoor sources. Though the bacterial communities of individual childcare centers differed, there was a greater difference in the bacterial community within a classroom than among centers. Surface habitats-fomites-within the classroom, did not differ in community composition despite differing proximity to likely sources of bacteria, and possible environmental filters, such as light. Bacterial communities did correlate with occupant density and differed significantly between high and low usage surfaces. CONCLUSIONS Our results suggest built environments inhabited by young children are similar to functionally equivalent built environments inhabited by adults, despite the different way young children engage with their environment. Ultimately, these results will be useful when further interrogating microbial dispersal and human exposure to microorganisms in built environments that specifically cater to young children.

Xie JX, Hu J, Cheng J, Liu C, Wei X. The function of the ACE2/Ang(1-7)/Mas receptor axis of the renin-angiotensin system in myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury. EUROPEAN REVIEW FOR MEDICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL SCIENCES 2022; 26:1852-1859. Abstract
OBJECTIVE Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2) is a critical element of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS), which can convert angiotensin (Ang)II to Ang(1-7), followed by binding Mas receptor (MasR) and subsequently produces cardioprotective effects through various signal transduction pathways. It has been discovered in research that activation of the RAS contributes a crucial influence during the myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury (MIRI) development. The features of ACE2, Ang(1-7), and MasR, as well as the function of the ACE2/Ang(1-7)/MasR axis in MIRI, are discussed in our review, with the therapeutic potential of this axis as a new treatment option for MIRI patients shown. MATERIALS AND METHODS To retrieve a thorough collection of studies, we performed a search in PubMed using the following combination of keywords: (ACE2) or (Ang1-7) or (Mas receptor) and (Myocardial Ischemia reperfusion injury). The time limits used for the search were 1986 to 2021. RESULTS In total, 367 articles were included. Titles and abstracts of articles were screened for relevance, and all relevant articles published in English were included. CONCLUSIONS ACE2, a prominent member of the RAS, performs a crucial regulatory function in the cardiovascular system. ACE2 regulates the RAS inversely mainly by hydrolyzing the harmful AngII to the beneficial Ang(1-7). Increasing or activating ACE2 or Ang(1-7) may help prevent and treat MIRI. However, additional research into the specific processes behind the ACE2/Ang(1-7)/MasR axis in MIRI is necessary, as well as the performance of additional in-depth studies to go from basic research to clinical translation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The efficacy of hetrombopag in Chinese patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) has been demonstrated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter, phase III trial (NCT03222843). OBJECTIVE This study aimed to report comprehensive data on a ≤6-week dose tapering to withdrawal (Stage 3) and an additional 24-week long-term extension period (Stage 4) in this phase III trial. PATIENTS/METHODS Patients who fulfilled the screening criteria were eligible to enter Stage 3 or 4. During Stage 3, hetrombopag was gradually tapered to withdrawal. During Stage 4, hetrombopag treatment was initiated at 2.5, 3.75, 5, or 7.5 mg once daily. The efficacy endpoints during Stage 3 or 4 and the safety profile during the entire treatment period were reported. RESULTS Among 194 patients who entered Stage 3, 171 (88.1%) relapsed. The median time to the first relapse since the start of Stage 3 was 15.0 days (95% CI, 14.0-16.0). In Stage 4, 144 (42.5%) patients responded at ≥75% of their assessments and 254 (74.9%) patients achieved platelet count ≥30 × 109 /L at least once, which was at least twice their baseline platelet count in the hetrombopag group (n = 339). The most common adverse events were upper respiratory tract infection (53.1%), thrombocytopenia (27.1%), and urinary tract infection (21.2%) in the hetrombopag group. CONCLUSION The majority of patients who experienced dose tapering to withdrawal experienced a relapse. Long-term treatment with hetrombopag was effective in increasing and maintaining platelet count within the desired range in Chinese adults with ITP. Hetrombopag was well tolerated.

Abstract
A novel avian orthoreovirus (N-ARV) variant characterized with obvious arthritis and synovial inflammation, was isolated from Shandong, China in May 2016. It caused chicken poor growth and enormous economic losses to the poultry industry of China. However, there are few effective methods for detecting the antibody levels of N-ARV. In this study, a viral structural protein σC was expressed using the prokaryotic expression vector pET32a (+). The target protein was obtained by inducing for 6 hours at an IPTG concentration of 0.6mM. The optimal dilution of the coating antigen and serum antibody were determined to be 1000 fold and 10 fold respectively. A specificity test showed that there was no positive reactivity between N-ARV and other pathogens, and when the positive serum was diluted 100 times detection results were still checkable. The repeatability of this method was determined by the inter assay and intra assay tests with variability ranging from 4.85% to 7.93%. In conclusion, this indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) will be useful for large-scale serological surveys and monitoring antibody levels in N-ARV infection.

Abstract
Events containing a Z boson and a charm jet are studied for the first time in the forward region of proton-proton collisions. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb^{-1} collected at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the LHCb detector. In events with a Z boson and a jet, the fraction of charm jets is determined in intervals of Z-boson rapidity in the range 2.0<y(Z)<4.5. A sizable enhancement is observed in the forwardmost y(Z) interval, which could be indicative of a valencelike intrinsic-charm component in the proton wave function.

Abstract
Type I X-ray bursts (XRBs) are the most frequently observed thermonuclear explosions in nature. The 22Mg(α,p)25Al reaction plays a critical role in XRB models. However, experimental information is insufficient to deduce a precise 22Mg(α,p)25Al reaction rate for the respective XRB temperature range. A new measurement of 25Al+p resonant scattring was performed up to the astrophysically interested energy region of 22Mg(α,p)25Al. Several resonances were observed in the excitation functions, and their level properties have been determined based on an R-matrix analysis. In particular, proton widths and spin-parities of four natural-parity resonances above the α threshold of 26Si, which can contribute the reaction rate of 22Mg(α,p)25Al, were first experimentally determined.

Abstract
Experimental studies on astrophysical reactions involving radioactive isotopes (RI) often accompany technical challenges. Studies on such nuclear reactions have been conducted at the low-energy RI beam separator CRIB, operated by Center for Nuclear Study, the University of Tokyo. We discuss two cases of astrophysical reaction studies at CRIB; one is for the 7Be+n reactions which may affect the primordial 7Li abundance in the Big-Bang nucleosynthesis, and the other is for the 22Mg(α, p) reaction relevantin X-raybursts.

Abstract
The prognosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in adults is inferior to that in children. Hence, ALL remains challenging to cure in the adult population. Aberrant genetic alterations have been observed in ALL, although the patterns of differential gene alterations in adult and pediatric ALL have not been comprehensively determined on a genome-wide scale. We investigated the biologic differences in genomic profiles between adults (n = 64) and children (n = 54) with ALL and relationship between genomic heterogeneity and prognosis. The 2 populations showed similar common mutation types but an increased prevalence of genetic alterations in adult ALL. The median numbers of gene mutations were 17 (range: 1-53) and 4.5 (range: 1-19) per sample in adult and pediatric ALL, respectively (p < 0.001). An increased number of gene mutations and age were significantly correlated (R2 = 0.5853, p < 0.001). We identified 122 and 53 driver genes in adult and pediatric ALL samples, respectively. IKZF1, IDH1, and TTN mutations were significantly enriched in adult patients with ALL. KRAS, ARID1A, and CREBBP mutations were significantly enriched in pediatric patients with ALL (p < 0.05). The incidence of relapse was 40.0% and 9.6% in adult and pediatric patients with ALL, respectively (p = 0.003). The overall survival and relapse-free survival of adult patients with ALL were poorer than those of pediatric patients with ALL (p = 0.002 and p < 0.001, respectively). This genomic landscape enhances the understanding of the biologic differences in ALL between the 2 populations and provides insight for developing therapeutic approaches.

Abstract
An amplitude analysis of flavor-untagged B_{s}^{0}→J/ψpp[over ¯] decays is performed using a sample of 797±31 decays reconstructed with the LHCb detector. The data, collected in proton-proton collisions between 2011 and 2018, correspond to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}. Evidence for a new structure in the J/ψp and J/ψp[over ¯] systems with a mass of 4337_{-4}^{+7} _{-2}^{+2} MeV and a width of 29_{-12}^{+26} _{-14}^{+14} MeV is found, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic, with a significance in the range of 3.1 to 3.7σ, depending on the assigned J^{P} hypothesis.

Abstract
Branching fraction and effective lifetime measurements of the rare decay B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} and searches for the decays B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} and B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-}γ are reported using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to a luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}. The branching fraction B(B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})=(3.09_{-0.43-0.11}^{+0.46+0.15})×10^{-9} and the effective lifetime τ(B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})=2.07±0.29±0.03 ps are measured, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. No significant signal for B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} and B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-}γ decays is found and upper limits B(B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})<2.6×10^{-10} and B(B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-}γ)<2.0×10^{-9} at the 95% C.L. are determined, where the latter is limited to the range m_{μμ}>4.9 GeV/c^{2}. The results are in agreement with the standard model expectations.

White Matter Alterations in Spastic Paraplegia Type 5: A Multiparametric Structural MRI Study and Correlations with Biochemical Measurements. AJNR Am J Neuroradiol 2022; 43:56-62. Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE In spastic paraplegia type 5, spinal cord atrophy and white matter signal abnormalities in the brain are the main MR imaging alterations. However, the specific mechanism remains unclear. We explored the microstructural changes occurring in spastic paraplegia type 5 and assessed the relation between MR imaging and clinical data. MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventeen patients with spastic paraplegia type 5 and 17 healthy controls were scanned with DTI and T1 mapping on a 3T MR imaging scanner. Fractional anisotropy, mean diffusivity, radial diffusivity, axial diffusivity, and T1 values were obtained using Tract-Based Spatial Statistics and the Spinal Cord Toolbox. Neurofilament light and myelin basic protein in the CSF were measured. The differences in MR imaging and biochemical data between patients with spastic paraplegia type 5 and healthy controls were compared using the Student t test. RESULTS A widespread reduction of fractional anisotropy values and an elevation of mean diffusivity, T1, and radial diffusivity values were found in most cervical, T4, and T5 spinal cords; corona radiata; optic radiations; and internal capsules in spastic paraplegia type 5. A variation in axial diffusivity values was shown only in C2, C6, and the corona radiata but not in the gray matter. The levels of neurofilament light and myelin basic protein were higher in those with spastic paraplegia type 5 than in healthy controls (myelin basic protein, 3507 [SD, 2291] versus 127 [SD, 219] pg/mL; neurofilament light, 617 [SD, 207] versus 265 [SD, 187] pg/mL; P < .001). No correlation was found between the clinical data and MR imaging-derived measures. CONCLUSIONS Multiparametric MR imaging and biochemical indicators demonstrated that demyelination (mainly) and axonal loss led to the white matter integrity loss without gray matter injury in spastic paraplegia type 5.

Abstract
The animal intestine is a complex ecosystem composed of host cells, gut microbiota and available nutrients. Gut microbiota can prevent the occurrence of intestinal diseases in animals by regulating the homeostasis of the intestinal environment. The intestinal microbiota is a complex and stable microbial community, and the homeostasis of the intestinal environment is closely related to the invasion of intestinal pathogens, which plays an important role in protecting the host from pathogen infections. Probiotics are strains of microorganisms that are beneficial to health, and their potential has recently led to a significant increase in studies on the regulation of intestinal flora. Various potential mechanisms of action have been proposed on probiotics, especially mediating the regulation mechanism of the intestinal flora on the host, mainly including competitive inhibition of pathogens, stimulation of the host's adaptive immune system and regulation of the intestinal flora. The advent of high-throughput sequencing technology has given us a clearer understanding and has facilitated the development of research methods to investigate the intestinal microecological flora. This review will focus on the regulation of probiotics on the microbial flora of intestinal infections in livestock and poultry and will depict future research directions.

Abstract
Vibrio harveyi is a common aquaculture pathogen causing diseases in a variety of aquatic animals. toxR, a conserved virulence-associated gene in vibrios, is identified in V. harveyi 345, a pathogenic strain isolated from diseased fish. In this study, to gain insight into function of ToxR in V. harveyi, an in-frame deletion of the toxR gene was constructed to reveal the role of ToxR in the physiology and virulence of V. harveyi. The statistical analysis showed no significant differences in the growth ability, motility, extracellular protease secretion, antibiotic susceptibility, virulence by intraperitoneal injection and the ability of V. harveyi to colonize the spleen and liver tissues of the pearl gentian grouper between the wild-type (WT) and the toxR mutant. However, the deletion of toxR increased the biofilm formation. The structure of the V. harveyi biofilm was further analysed by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and confocal laser scanning microscopy, and the results showed that deletion of toxR increased the number and density of V. harveyi biofilm. Since biofilm production is flagella, exopolysaccharide (EPS) and lipopolysaccharide dependent, 16 of V. harveyi biofilm-related genes were selected for further analysis. Based on quantitative real-time reverse transcription-PCR, the expression levels of these genes, including genes flrB, motY and mshA, flaE, flrA and gmhD, were significantly up-regulated in the ΔtoxR+ strain as compared with the WT+ and C-ΔtoxR strains during the early and mid-exponential, while epsG, flaA, flaE, flgD, flgE, flrB, flrC, lpxB, motY, mshA and scrG genes were inhibited because of deletion of the toxR gene in the stationary growth phase. Our results indicate that ToxR plays an important role in controlling the biofilm in V. harveyi.

Abstract
Chidamide has demonstrated significant clinical benefits for patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) PTCL in previous studies. This multi-center observational study was aimed to evaluate the objective response rate (ORR), overall survival (OS), and safety of chidamide. From February 2015 to December 2017, 548 patients with R/R PTCL from 186 research centers in China were included in the study. Among the 261 patients treated with chidamide monotherapy, ORR was 58.6% and 55 patients (21.1%) achieved complete response (CR). Among the 287 patients receiving chidamide-containing combination therapies, ORR was 73.2% and 73 patients (25.4%) achieved CR. The median OS of all patients was 15.1 months. The median OS of patients receiving chidamide monotherapy and combination therapies was 433 and 463 days, respectively. These results demonstrate a significant survival advantage of chidamide treatments as compared with international historical records. Common adverse effects (AEs) were hematological toxicities. Most AEs in both monotherapy and combined treatments were grade 1–2. No unanticipated AEs occurred. In conclusion, chidamide-based therapy led to a favorable efficacy and survival benefit for R/R PTCL. Future studies should explore the potential advantage of chidamide treatment combined with chemotherapy.

Abstract
Reticuloendotheliosis virus (REV) is an avian oncogenic retrovirus that causes atrophy of immune organs, such as the spleen, thymus, and bursa of Fabricius, leading to severe immunosuppression. However, there is limited information describing the genes or microRNAs (miRNAs) that play a role in replicating REV-spleen necrosis virus (SNV). Our previous miRNA and RNA sequencing data showed that the expression of gga-miR-222b-5p was significantly upregulated in REV-SNV-infected chicken spleens of 7, 14, and 21 dpi compared to non-infected chicken spleens, but mitogen-activated protein kinase 10 (MAPK10), which is related to innate immunity, had the opposite expression pattern. To understand chicken cellular miRNA function in the virus-host interactions during REV infection, we used quantitative reverse transcription PCR (qRT-PCR) to determine whether the expression of gga-miR-222b-5p and MAPK10 in the spleen of specific-pathogen-free chickens at 28, 35, and 42 dpi was consistent with the first 3 time points, and dual-luciferase reporter assay was used to determine the targeting relationship between gga-miR-222b-5p and MAPK10. Results show that MAPK10 was downregulated at all 3 time points; however, significant difference (p⟨0.01) was noted only at 35 dpi. Moreover, the expression of gga-miR-222b-5p was upregulated; however, significant difference (p⟨0.01) was observed only at 28 and 35 dpi. A dual-luciferase reporter assay showed that MAPK10 is a direct target of gga-miR-222b-5p. This study suggests that gga-miR-222b-5p may target MAPK10 to promote the REV-SNV-induced tumorigenesis via the RLRs signaling pathway.

Abstract
Iron chalcogenides are of particular interests among iron-based superconductors due to their distinct properties such as high-Tcon FeSe monolayer and competing magnetic correlations in Fe1+yTe. Here we report unusual transport properties observed near the critical composition of Fe1+yTe (y∼ 0.09) where competing magnetic correlations exist. The resistivity exhibits surprising temperature-dependent relaxation behavior belowTN, resulting in the increase of resistivity with time for 35 K <T<TN, but the decrease of resistivity with time for 10 K <T< 35 K. Such resistivity relaxation is intimately coupled to the magnetization relaxation and can be attributed to the glassy magnetic states induced by the competing magnetic orders. These findings demonstrate strong coupling between itinerant carriers and local ordered moments in Fe1+yTe.

Can Published Population Pharmacokinetic Models of Busulfan Be Used for Individualized Dosing in Chinese Pediatric Patients Undergoing Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation? An External Evaluation. Abstract
Busulfan is a bifunctional alkylating agent that is widely used before hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), in combination with other chemotherapeutic drugs. As of 2020, there is no population pharmacokinetic (popPK) model for busulfan in Chinese pediatric patients. A systemic external evaluation of 11 published popPK models was conducted in Chinese pediatric patients undergoing HSCT. Forty pediatric patients were enrolled in this study, with a total of 183 blood concentrations. The relative prediction error (PE%), median PE%, median absolute PE%, and percentage of PE% within ±20% and ±30% were calculated in prediction-based diagnostics. Simulation-based diagnostics were conducted through a prediction- and variability-corrected visual predictive check and the normalized prediction distribution error. The relative individual prediction error was calculated using Bayesian forecasting with 1 to 3 concentration points. The 1-compartment open linear popPK model, which was built by Su-jin Rhee et al (model H), incorporating the patient's body surface area, age, dosing day, and aspartate aminotransferase as significant covariates had preferable predictability than other popPK models. In prediction-based diagnostics, the median PE%, percentage of PE% within ±20%, and percentage of PE% within ±30% of model H were 8.48%, 45.35%, and 59.56%, respectively. The normalized prediction distribution error of model H showed that it followed the normal distribution. Based on Bayesian forecasting, model H showed good predictive performance. Thus, model H was the most appropriate model that can be used clinically for individualized dosage adjustments in Chinese pediatric HSCT patients.

Abstract
We report the first (in)elastic scattering measurement of ^{25}Al+p with the capability to select and measure in a broad energy range the proton resonances in ^{26}Si contributing to the ^{22}Mg(α,p) reaction at type I x-ray burst energies. We measured spin-parities of four resonances above the α threshold of ^{26}Si that are found to strongly impact the ^{22}Mg(α,p) rate. The new rate advances a state-of-the-art model to remarkably reproduce light curves of the GS 1826-24 clocked burster with mean deviation <9% and permits us to discover a strong correlation between the He abundance in the accreting envelope of the photospheric radius expansion burster and the dominance of ^{22}Mg(α,p) branch.

Abstract
Camrelizumab (a humanized high-affinity IgG4 mAb against programmed death-l) showed potent antitumor activity, well tolerance and controllable safety in patients with relapsed or refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma (r/r cHL), based on the primary analysis of a Phase 2 study. Here, we present the extended follow-up outcomes. Seventy-five patients who had failed to achieve a remission or experienced progression after autologous stem cell transplantation or had received at least two lines of systemic chemotherapies were enrolled to receive camrelizumab 200 mg every 2 weeks. With a median follow-up of 36.2 months (range, 7.2-38.1), objective response rate per independent central review was 76.0% (95% confidence interval [CI], 64.7-85.1). Among the 57 responders, 31 (54.4%) had ongoing responses. Median duration of response was 31.7 months (95% CI, 16.7-not reached). Median progression-free survival was 22.5 months (95% CI, 14.7-not reached). Thirty-six-month overall survival rate was 82.7% (95% CI, 72.0-89.5). Reactive capillary endothelial proliferation (RCEP) occurred in 97.3% of patients (73/75), but all RCEP were Grade 1 or 2 in severity and 67.1% of these patients (49/73) achieved complete resolution. Occurrence of new RCEP lesions was rare (8/42 [19.0%] at 12 months; 2/32 [6.3%] at 24 months). No treatment-related deaths occurred, and no new toxicities were reported. With extended follow-up, camrelizumab monotherapy continues to provide a robust and durable response, long survival and manageable safety in r/r cHL patients.

Abstract
The Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction (DMI) at the Co/h-BN interface can emerge and be enhanced by applying a downward electric field. The height of the Co atom relative to the h-BN layer with the electric field determines the variation of DMI. One half reduction of J1 is beneficial to generate skyrmions. Tuning the DMI by an electric field sheds new light for research on skyrmions.

Abstract
Objective: To identify age and gender standardized body mass index among children and adolescents and explore their associations with high blood pressure (HBP) in late adolescence. Methods: The current study was based on the Health Promotion Program for Children and Adolescents, school-based surveillance successively conducted from 2012 to 2019 in Suzhou, China. A total of 11 812 children and adolescents aged 16-18 years, who had ≥4 examination records during 2012-2018 and were also involved in a surveillance program in 2019, were included. Latent class growth mixture modeling was used to identify the BMI-Z trajectories in different genders, and multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the associations between different BMI-Z trajectories and risk of HBP in late adolescence. Results: Six distinct BMI-Z trajectories were determined for both genders:thin, slightly thin, standard, declining, overweight, and obese. Compared with the regular group, the obesity group had 94.0% (OR=1.94, 95%CI: 1.43-2.63) and 107.0% (OR=2.07, 95%CI: 1.33-3.22) increased risk of developing HBP in late adolescence in boys and girls, respectively. However, a neutral association was found between the descending group and HBP in late adolescence. Conclusions: Persistent obesity in children may increase the risk of HBP in their late adolescence. If an obese child restores normal weight before late adolescence, the risk of HBP may reduce.

Abstract
The branching fraction of the rare B_{s}^{0}→ϕμ^{+}μ^{-} decay is measured using data collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1, 2, and 6 fb^{-1}, respectively. The branching fraction is reported in intervals of q^{2}, the square of the dimuon invariant mass. In the q^{2} region between 1.1 and 6.0 GeV^{2}/c^{4}, the measurement is found to lie 3.6 standard deviations below a standard model prediction based on a combination of light cone sum rule and lattice QCD calculations. In addition, the first observation of the rare B_{s}^{0}→f_{2}^{'}(1525)μ^{+}μ^{-} decay is reported with a statistical significance of 9 standard deviations and its branching fraction is determined.

Abstract
Multidrug resistance is highly associated with poor prognosis of chronic myeloid leukemia. This work aims to explore whether the laser tweezers Raman spectroscopy (LTRS) could be practical in separating adriamycin-resistant chronic myeloid leukemia cells K562/adriamycin from its parental cells K562, and to explore the potential mechanisms. Detection of LTRS initially reflected the spectral differences caused by chemoresistance including bands assigned to carbohydrates, amino acid, protein, lipids, and nucleic acid. In addition, principal components analysis as well as the classification and regression trees algorithms showed that the specificity and sensitivity were above 90%. Moreover, the band data-based classification and regression tree model and receiver operating characteristic curve further determined some important bands and band intensity ratios to be reliable indexes in discriminating K562 chemoresistance status. Finally, we highlighted three metabolism pathways correlated with chemoresistance. This work demonstrates that the label-free LTRS analysis combined with multivariate statistical analyses have great potential to be a novel analytical strategy at the single-cell level for rapid evaluation of the chemoresistance status of K562 cells.

Abstract
Background A high ecotropic viral integration site 1 (EVI1) expression (EVI1high) is an independent prognostic factor in adult acute myeloid leukemia (AML). However, little is known of the prognostic value of EVI1high in pediatric AML. This study aimed to examine the biological and prognostic significance of EVI1high in uniformly treated pediatric patients with AML from a large cohort of seven centers in China. Methods A diagnostic assay was developed to determine the relative EVI1 expression using a single real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction in 421 newly diagnosed pediatric AML patients younger than 14 years from seven centers in southern China. All patients were treated with a uniform protocol, but only 383 patients were evaluated for their treatment response. The survival data were included in the subsequent analysis (n = 35 for EVI1high, n = 348 for EVI1low). Results EVI1high was found in 9.0% of all 421 pediatric patients with de novo AML. EVI1high was predominantly found in acute megakaryoblastic leukemia (FAB M7), MLL rearrangements, and unfavorable cytogenetic aberrance, whereas it was mutually exclusive with t (8; 21), inv (16)/t (16; 16), CEBPA, NPM1, or C-KIT mutations. In the univariate Cox regression analysis, EVI1high had a significantly adverse 5-year event-free survival (EFS) and overall survival (OS) [hazard ratio (HR) = 1.821 and 2.401, p = 0.036 and 0.005, respectively]. In the multivariate Cox regression analysis, EVI1high was an independent prognostic factor for the OS (HR = 2.447, p = 0.015) but not EFS (HR = 1.556, p = 0.174). Furthermore, EVI1high was an independent adverse predictor of the OS and EFS of patients with MLL rearrangements (univariate analysis: HR = 9.921 and 7.253, both p < 0.001; multivariate analysis: HR = 7.186 and 7.315, p = 0.005 and 0.001, respectively). Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in first complete remission (CR1) provided EVI1high patients with a tendential survival benefit when compared with chemotherapy as a consolidation (5-year EFS: 68.4% vs. 50.8%, p = 0.26; 5-year OS: 65.9% vs. 54.8%, p = 0.45). Conclusion It could be concluded that EVI1high can be detected in approximately 10% of pediatric AML cases. It is predominantly present in unfavorable cytogenetic subtypes and predicts adverse outcomes. Whether pediatric patients with EVI1high AML can benefit from HSCT in CR1 needs to be researched further.
