Abstract
To meet the stringent requirements of 5G communication, we proposed a high-performance bulk acoustic wave (BAW) filter based on single crystal AlN piezoelectric films on a SiC substrate. The fabrication of the BAW filter is compatible with the GaN high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) process, enabling the implementation of the integration of the BAW device and high-performance monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC). The single crystal AlN piezoelectric film with 650-nm thickness was epitaxially grown on the SiC substrate by Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD). After wafer bonding and substrate removal, the single crystal AlN film with electrode layers was transferred to another SiC wafer to form an air gap type BAW. Testing results showed that the fabricated resonators have a maximum Q-factor up to 837 at 3.3 GHz resonant frequency and electromechanical coupling coefficient up to 7.2%. Ladder-type filters were developed to verify the capabilities of the BAW and process, which has a center frequency of 3.38 GHz with 160 MHz 3 dB bandwidth. The filter achieved a minimum 1.5 dB insertion loss and more than 31 dB out-of-band rejection. The high performance of the filters is attributed to the high crystallinity and low defects of epitaxial single crystal AlN films.

Abstract
The least damaging and most economical method to deliver drugs or carriers into the inner ear for treatment of disease is through the middle ear. However, the retention of drug in the middle ear is an obstacle. Here, inspired by the adhesion of mussels, a methacrylate gelatin microspheres (GM) coupling polydopamine (PDA) layer (GM@PDA) with excellent adhesive ability is constructed, and Ebselen liposomes are further loaded into the GM@PDA (GM@PDA@Lipo-Ebselen). The loading capacity of GM@PDA for Ebselen liposomes is 25 ± 1 µg mg-1 microspheres. GM@PDA@Lipo-Ebselen could be injected on round windows membrane (RWM) and tightly adheres to the surface of RWM by PDA, and the microspheres are even still attached to the RWM after 360° rotation and inverted shaking. The in vivo imaging system shows that the adhesive microspheres can prolong the retention of the middle ear cavity for more than 7 days. The hearing of mice in the GM@PDA@Lipo-Ebselen group is significantly recovered, especially on day 14 after noise exposure, and the hearing of each frequency is restored to baseline level. At 32 kHz frequency, the survival of outer hair cells recovers from 48 0± 6% to 93 ± 2%. Therefore, the adhesive and injectable hydrogel microspheres provide a promising strategy for the treatment of hearing loss.

Abstract
Numerous studies have evaluated the association between air pollution and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), but the findings were inconsistent. This meta-analysis aimed to provide higher grade evidence on the association of air pollution with GDM based on previous studies. PubMed, Web of science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform (Wanfang) were searched comprehensively up to September 2021. Totally, 20 eligible cohort studies were finally included, for which the pooled RR and 95% CIs were estimated. Stratified analyses by study regions and units of pollutant increase were conducted for further investigation. Sensitivity analyses were also performed to assess the robustness. The finding showed that PM2.5, PM10, NO2, and SO2 exposure increased the risk of GDM, while O3 exposure reduced GDM risk. Specifically, PM2.5 exposure in the first and second trimesters, NO2 and SO2 exposure in the first trimester significantly increased the risk of GDM, with the RR ranging from 1.015 to 1.032. In addition, the elevation of GDM risk induced by PM2.5, PM10, and O3 exposure was more pronounced in Asian subjects than in American subjects. The meta-analysis provides high-quality evidence on the effect of maternal air pollution exposure on GDM in each exposure period.

Abstract
Background:
Mannans are the main components of hemicellulose in nature and serve as
the major storage polysaccharide in legume seeds. To mine new mannanase genes and identify their
functional characteristics are an important basis for mannan biotechnological applications.
Objective:
In this study, a putative mannanase gene (ManBs31) from the genome of the marine
bacterium Alteromonadaceae Bs31 was characterized.
Methods:
Amino acid sequence analysis and protein structural modeling were used to reveal the
molecular features of ManBs31. The catalytic domain of ManBs31 was recombinantly produced
using Escherichia coli and Pichia pastoris expression systems. The biochemical properties of the
enzymes were determined by reducing sugar assay and thin-layer chromatography.
Results:
Sequence analysis revealed that ManBs31 was a multidomain protein, consisting of a
catalytic domain belonging to glycoside hydrolase family 5 (GH5) and two cellulose-binding
domains. Recombinant ManBs31-GH5 exhibited the maximum hydrolytic performance at 70 ºC and
pH 6. It showed the best hydrolysis capacity toward konjac glucomannan (specific enzyme activity
up to 1070.84 U/mg) and poor hydrolysis ability toward galactomannan with high side-chain
modifications (with a specific activity of 344.97 U/mg and 93.84 U/mg to locust bean gum and
ivory nut mannan, respectively). The hydrolysis products of ManBs31-GH5 were mannooligosaccharides,
and no monosaccharide was generated. Structural analysis suggested that
ManBs31-GH5 had a noncanonical +2 subsite compared with other GH5 mannanases.
Conclusion:
ManBs31 was a novel thermophilic endo-mannanase and it provided a new alternative
for the biodegradation of mannans, especially for preparation of probiotic mannooligosaccharides.

Abstract
Among aquaculture vaccines, polyvalent vaccines (for immunoprotection against multiple bacterial species) are more efficient and can better avoid bacterial resistance and antibiotic residues in fish. Here, 15 outer membrane proteins (OMPs) of Aeromonas hydrophila were cloned and purified, and mouse antisera were prepared. Passive immunization to Carassius auratus showed that four OMPs sera (OmpW, OmpAII, P5, and AHA2685) and the entire OMPs serum held effective immunoprotection against A. hydrophila infection. Furthermore, the active immunization of four OMPs to C. auratus showed that OmpW, OmpAII, P5, and AHA2685 held effective immunoprotection against A. hydrophila, and OmpW held active cross-protection against Vibrio alginolyticus. The mechanisms of these four candidate vaccines in triggering immune responses were subsequently explored. They all could activate innate immune responses in active immunization, down-regulate (p < 0.05) the inflammation-related genes expression to reduce the inflammatory reaction induced by A. hydrophila, and down-regulate (p < 0.05) antioxidant-related factors to reduce the antioxidant reaction for bacterial infection. Noteablely, the four OMPs had protective abilities on kidney and spleen tissues of C. auratus after challenged with A. hydrophila and V. alginolyticus by histopathological observation. Collectively, our results identify OmpW as a polyvalent vaccine candidate, and OmpAII, P5, and AHA2685 as vaccine candidates against A. hydrophila infection in fish.

Abstract
The heat insulation ability and thermal stability of thermal protection materials play extremely important role in the thermal protection of aero-engines under high temperature. Herein, we design the carbon-SiO2-Al2O3 (CSA) composite aerogel through thermochemical restructuring from the phenol-formaldehyde resin-SiO2-Al2O3 (PSA) composite aerogel. This thermochemical restructured aerogel not only shows better adhesion property under room temperature but also possesses higher thermal stability and desirable heat insulation ability under high temperature. Taking the PSA-0.5 composite aerogel as an example, the compressive strain-stress test unveils that it can be compressed by 66% without catastrophic collapse, which is beneficial for the adhesion with the metallic matrix. Meanwhile, the transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy images exhibit the unbroken three-dimensional structure for the CSA-0.5 composite aerogel, which confirmed the structural stability of the composite aerogel after thermochemical restructuring. The thermal cycle test indicates that the weight loss of the CSA-0.5 composite aerogel is only ca. 8%, firmly confirming its thermal stability. Importantly, the thermal conductivity of the CSA-0.5 composite aerogel ranges from 0.024 to 0.083 W m-1 K-1, indicating the superior performance of heat insulation. Moreover, the numerical simulation is carried out to validate the thermal protection effect of the CSA-0.5 composite aerogel as a thermal protection layer. Together with laminated cooling, it could enhance the surface cooling effectiveness of the metallic matrix to above 0.8. Briefly, this work paves a new pathway for efficient thermal protection materials of aero-engines via the rational design of the thermochemical restructured composite aerogel under the guidance of ANSYS numerical simulations.

Abstract
Objective To confirm the effects of a transtheoretical model (TTM) based on multidimensional life management on healthy behavior in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Methods In total, eighty eligible patients were recruited from March 2021 to June 2021 and randomly assigned to either the intervention (n = 40) or control (n = 40) groups. Outcome measures include health-promoting behavior, self-efficacy, anthropometrics, and the number of unplanned outpatient admissions. Data were collected at baseline, 3, and 6 months after the intervention. The chi-square test, rank-sum test, t-test, and repeated measurement analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to analyze the data. Results In total, sixty-six participants completed the study: 35 participants in the intervention group and 31 participants in the control group. After 6 months of intervention, the healthy behavior level of patients with PCOS increased from moderate [health-promoting lifestyle profile (HPLP)-II score of 105.37 ± 12.57] to good (156.94 ± 19.36) in the intervention group; and there was no change observed in the control group. In addition, the total self-efficacy score (p < 0.001), PCOS-related unplanned outpatient admissions (p = 0.008), waist circumference (WC) (p = 0.016), and body mass index (BMI) (p = 0.011) were found to have a significant difference in the intervention group at 6 months. Meanwhile, repeated measures analysis of variance showed a significantly greater improvement in health-promoting behavior and self-efficacy over time in the intervention group than in the control group (p < 0.001). Conclusion The transtheoretical model based on multidimensional life management positively affected healthy behavior, self-efficacy, the number of unplanned outpatient admissions, and anthropometrics in patients with PCOS. Abstract
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) accounts for third most cancer death globally, and its prognosis continues to be poor even with many novel therapeutic approaches emerging. The advent of immunotherapy seems to offer new hope, but low response rates are an unresolved problem. To gain further knoeledge of the effect of immune-related genes in HCC, we examined the connection between immune-related genes and the immune microenvironment in HCC through the HCC transcriptome dataset. The study also aimed to construct and experimentally validate user-friendly molecular subtypes mediated by immune-related genes in HCC. The immune cell infiltration patterns differs in HCC adjacent non-disease tissues and cancerous tissues. Patients with HCC could be classified into 2 subtypes: subtype A and subtype B. Specifically, subtype A shows characteristics of a hot tumor, in which the infiltration of cells exhibiting antigens and the expression of other crucial factors associated with immune function are higher than in a cold tumor. In addition, we identified Hub genes for the different subtypes and constructed a prognostic prediction model based on six genes (KLRB1, KLF2, S100A9, MSC, ANXA5, and IMPDH1). Further experimental analysis of HCC samples exhibited that the expression levels of KLF2 and ANXA5 were associated with immune cell infiltration and expression of PD-L1 in cancer tissues. Our work suggests that the expression of immune-related genes has crucial effect on the tumor microenvironment and prognosis of HCC patients and may be associated with immunotherapeutic response, which provides new clues for the widespread and effective application of immunotherapy in HCC.

Abstract
In this study, the UVA (Ultraviolet A) drinking water disinfection was promoted by electrolysis. The influences of the UVA, electrolysis current, bubbling and temperature were investigated. The disinfection mechanisms and bacterial reactivation had been studied. The results revealed that the treatment time needed to reach the DL (detection limit, about 5.4 log removal) was shortened from 180 to 80 min by the electrolysis. The total electricity consumption decreased from about 126-57.0 kJ/L. Compared with increasing the UVA irradiation, increasing the electrolysis current in a certain range was more preferred to improve the disinfection rate. Oxygen bubbling or higher temperature could enhance the E. coli inactivation. The quenching experiment and EPR (Electron paramagnetic resonance) detection confirmed that ROSs (1O2, ·O2- and ·OH) played important roles for the disinfection. Compared with the treatment with UVA alone, the cell membrane damage was more severe by the promoting method. In addition to the dramatically reduced enzyme activity, the synergistic process degraded most of the bacterial genomic DNA, and the bacteria were completely killed. Therefore, hybrid with electrolysis is a better way for the application of the UVA-LED disinfection.

Abstract
Heart failure (HF) is a serious disease with high mortality. Oxidative stress plays a vital role in its occurrence and development. Licorice is commonly used to treat HF in traditional Chinese medicine. Liquiritin, the main ingredient of licorice, has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, but the mechanism against oxidative stress in cardiomyocytes has not been reported. Establishment of oxidative damage model in H9c2 cells by hydrogen peroxide (H2 O2 ). Liquiritin (5, 10, 20 μmol/L) could significantly prevent the loss of cell viability and decrease the apoptosis rate. It can reduce the levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), malonedialdehyde (MDA), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and increase the activity of ATP, superoxidedismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxide (GSH-px), glutathione reductase (GR) and catalase (CAT) to alleviate oxidative stress and inflammation in a dose-dependent manner. Liquiritin was found to be related to AMP-Activated Protein Kinase (AMPK) pathway by molecular docking. Western blotting (WB) and quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) confirmed that liquiritin could promote AMPKα phosphorylation and sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) protein expression, and inhibit phosphorylation of nuclear factor kappa B p65 (NF-κB p65). Compound C, EX 527, and PDTC can reverse the effects of liquiritin, indicating that its antioxidant effect is achieved by regulating AMPK/SIRT1/NF-κB signaling pathway. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS: Heart failure is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases, and its treatment remains a worldwide problem. Licorice is a food and dietary supplement that has been used widely in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Liquiritin is one of the main active components of licorice, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory pharmacological effects. This study revealed the mechanism of licorice against oxidative damage of H9c2 cardiomyocytes, and provided a scientific basis for liquiritin as an antioxidant in the treatment of heart failure.

This study aims to investigate the effect of atractylenolide Ⅲ(ATL-Ⅲ) on hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2)-induced endoplasmic reticulum stress and apoptosis of H9 c2 cells via the ROS/GRP78/caspase-12 signaling pathway. The binding activity of ATL-Ⅲ to GRP78 was determined by molecular docking. The result showed that ATL-Ⅲ had a good binding activity to GRP78, and the binding activity of ATL-Ⅲ was stronger than that of its specific inhibitor. The endoplasmic reticulum stress model of H9 c2 was established by H_2O_2(100 μmol·L~(-1)) treatment.Five groups were designed: blank control group, model group, and ATL-Ⅲ(15, 30, and 60 μmol·L~(-1)) groups.Apoptosis was detected by Hoechst/PI double staining and flow cytometry. The levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD), malondialdehyde(MDA), and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) were measured by colorimetry. The levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS) and calcium(Ca~(2+)) in cytoplasm were determined by the fluorescence probe DCFH-DA and the calcium fluorescence probe Flou-4, respectively. The protein levels of GRP78, caspase-12, and caspase-3 were determined by Western blot, and the mRNA levels of GRP78 and caspase-12 by RT-qPCR.N-acetyl-L-cysteine(NAC) and 4-phenylbutyric acid(4-PBA) were respectively used to inhibit ROS and GRP78, and then the mechanism of ATL-Ⅲ in protecting the cells from endoplasmic reticulum stress induced by H_2O_2 were deduced.ATL-Ⅲ(15, 30, and 60 μmol·L~(-1)) decreased the apoptosis rate and ROS, MDA, and LDH levels(P<0.01), increased the SOD activity(P<0.01), and down-regulated the protein levels of GRP78, caspase-12, and caspase-3 and the mRNA levels of GRP78 and caspase-12(P<0.05).The addition of NAC decreased the apoptosis rate and ROS, MDA, GRP78, caspase-12, and caspase-3 levels(P<0.01), while it elevated the SOD level(P<0.01).The addition of 4-PBA also decreased the apoptosis rate and the levels of GRP78, caspase-12, caspase-3, and Ca~(2+)(P<0.01).The effect of inhibitors were consistent with that of ATL-Ⅲ.In conclusion, ATL-Ⅲ can protect H9 c2 cardiomyocytes by regulating ROS/GRP78/caspase-12 signaling pathway to inhibit H_2O_2-induced endoplasmic reticulum stress and apoptosis.

Abstract
Background Venomous arthropods have substances in their venom with antiproliferative potential for neoplastic cells. Objectives To identify a polypeptide from Myrmeleon bore (antlion) with antiproliferative activity against neoplastic cells, and to elucidate the molecular mechanism of the activity. Methods We used gel filtration and ion exchange chromatography to purify a polypeptide with antiproliferative activity against MG-63 human osteosarcoma cells from a proteinaceous extract of antlion. The polypeptide was sequenced and the stability of its antiproliferative activity was tested under a range of conditions in vitro. An 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay was used to determine the antiproliferative activity of the polypeptide against the MG-63 osteosarcoma cells and MC3T3-E1 mouse calvarial osteoblasts, which were used as a non-neoplastic control. We used western blotting to compare the levels of expression of heat shock transcription factor 1 (HSF1), heat shock protein 90 (HSP90), cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (CDK4), and protein kinase B alpha (ATK1) in MG-63 osteosarcoma cells and their mouse homologs in MC3T3-E1 osteoblasts after their treatment with the antlion antiproliferative polypeptide (ALAPP). Results The 85-amino-acid ALAPP has a 56% sequence identity with the human heat shock factor binding protein 1 (HSBP1). The antiproliferative activity of the polypeptide is relatively insensitive to temperature, pH, and metal ions. ALAPP has a strong concentration-dependent antiproliferative activity against MG-63 osteosarcoma cells compared with its effect on MC3T3-E1 osteoblasts. ALAPP significantly upregulates the expression of HSF1 in MC3T3-EL osteoblasts, but not in MG-63 osteosarcoma. ALAPP significantly downregulated the expression of HSP90, CDK4, and AKT1 expression in MG-63 osteosarcoma, but not in the osteoblasts. Conclusions ALAPP has significant antiproliferative activity against MG-63 osteosarcoma cells, but not nonneoplastic MC3T3-E1 osteoblasts. We speculate that non-neoplastic cells may evade the antiproliferative effect of ALAPP by upregulating HSF1 to maintain their HSP90, CDK4, and AKT1 expression at a relatively constant level.

Abstract
Whether music can influence moral judgment is controversial in the aesthetics and philosophy of music. Aesthetic Autonomy pointed out that music had a morally educational function because of its lyrics or a particular context. The key to resolving the divergence is to select absolute music without lyrics or specific context as the eliciting material. In this study, 84 participants were recruited and randomly divided into three groups to complete the Ultimatum Game (UG) after listening to different stimuli: absolute music, white noise, and no sound. Behavioral results indicated that the participants’ acceptance of unfair offers was significantly lower in the music group. Also, participants in the music group have a shorter reaction time for rejecting an unfair offer than other unfair conditions. However, ERP comparison showed no significant difference in medial frontal negativity (MFN) amplitude, which reflects fairness levels, between the music group and the no sound group for either accepting or rejecting the moderately unfair offer. Brain network analyses revealed that participants in the music group showed stronger activation of rewarding circuits, including the ventral striatum, during the decision-making process of rejecting unfair offers, before the decision especially, compared to the no sound group. These results suggest that absolute music can influence fair decision-making. The reward activated by music compensates participants vicariously for the reward they receive for choosing self-interest in an unfair offer, participants no longer have to choose between self-interest and fairness norms, so the participants reject the unfair offer due to the negative emotions induced by the unfair offer.

Abstract
With the increase in life expectancy in the global population, aging societies have emerged in many countries, including China. As a common sensory defect in the elderly population, the prevalence of age-related hearing loss and its influence on society are increasing yearly. Metabolic syndrome is currently one of the main health problems in the world. Many studies have demonstrated that metabolic syndrome and its components are correlated with a variety of age-related diseases of the peripheral sensory system, including age-related hearing loss. Both age-related hearing loss and metabolic syndrome are high-prevalence chronic diseases, and many people suffer from both at the same time. In recent years, more and more studies have found that mitochondrial dysfunction occurs in both metabolic syndrome and age-related hearing loss. Therefore, to better understand the impact of metabolic syndrome on age-related hearing loss from the perspective of mitochondrial dysfunction, we reviewed the literature related to the relationship between age-related hearing loss and metabolic syndrome and their components to discern the possible role of mitochondria in both conditions.

Abstract
Recently, the prevalence of macrolide-resistant Moraxella catarrhalis has been reported, especially among Chinese children. The fitness cost of resistance is reported to render the resistant bacteria less virulent. To investigate the correlation between macrolide susceptibility of M. catarrhalis and pathogenicity, the whole genome of 70 M. catarrhalis isolates belonging to four clonal complexes with different macrolide susceptibilities was sequenced. The gene products were annotated with the Gene Ontology terms. Based on 46 extracted essential virulence genes, 19 representative isolates were selected to infect type II alveolar cells (A549 cells). The ability of these isolates to adhere and invade human epithelial cells and to produce cytokines was comparatively analysed. Furthermore, mice were infected with a pair of M. catarrhalis isolates with different pathogenic behaviours and macrolide susceptibilities to examine pulmonary clearance, histological findings, and the production of cytokines. The percentages of annotations for binding, metabolic process, cellular process, and cell were non-significantly different between the macrolide-resistant and macrolide-susceptible groups. The presence of uspA2, uspA2H, pilO, lbpB, lex1, modM, mboIA, and mboIB significantly differed among the four clonal complexes and macrolide susceptibility groups. Furthermore, compared with those in macrolide-susceptible isolates, the adhesion ability was stronger (P = 0.0019) and the invasion ability was weaker (P < 0.0001) in the macrolide-resistant isolates. Mouse experiments revealed that pulmonary macrophages elicit immune responses against M. catarrhalis infection by significantly upregulating the Csf2, Il4, Il13, Il1b, Il6, Tnf, and Il18. Therefore, M. catarrhalis populations exhibited diverse pathogenicity in vitro and in vivo.

Abstract
Hyperuricemia is associated with substantial health and economic burden all over the world. Dietary habits are an important influencing factor of hyperuricemia. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between spicy food intake and hyperuricemia based on a large population. A total of 22,125 individuals aged 30-79 were enrolled in China Multi-Ethnic Cohort (CMEC), Chongqing region. Spicy food intake information was collected by a standardized questionnaire. The association between spicy food intake and hyperuricemia was estimated by multivariable logistic regression models and multiple linear regression models. Additionally, we explored these relations in subgroups stratified by sex and age. Furthermore, sensitivity analyses were conducted to verify the stability of current findings. After controlling for potential confounders, compared with participants who never consumed spicy food and consumed less hot, participants who ate 3-5 days per week and very hot had the highest risk of hyperuricemia; the ORs (95% CIs) were 1.28 (1.09, 1.5) and 1.22 (0.92, 1.63), respectively. Additionally, the corresponding ORs (95% CIs) for each level increment in the frequency and degree of pungency in spicy food intake were 1.04 (1.01, 1.07) (P trend = 0.009) and 1.15 (1.04, 1.26) (P trend = 0.004). Further in sex-stratified and age-stratified analysis, similar positive associations were observed among men and those aged 30-59, but no significant association was found among women and those aged 60-79. In the linear regression models, 3-5 days per week and moderate pungency in spicy food intake were associated with 5.21 μmol/L (95% CI: 1.72, 8.70) and 4.69 μmol/L (95% CI: 1.93, 7.45) higher serum urate level. Results in further subgroup analysis were generally consistent with the logistic regression models. This study suggests that spicy food intake may be a risk factor for hyperuricemia, especially in men and younger people, and more studies are warranted to verify the causal associations.

Abstract
Background Gliomas are the most lethal primary brain tumors and are still a major therapeutic challenge. Oncolytic virus therapy is a novel and effective means for glioma. However, little is known about gene expression changes during this process and their biological functions on glioma clinical characteristics and immunity. Methods The RNA-seq data after oncolytic virus EV-A71 infection on glioma cells were analyzed to screen significantly downregulated genes. Once ABCD3 was selected, The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas (CGGA), Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx), Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC), and Human Protein Atlas (HPA) data were used to analyze the relationship between ABCD3 expression and clinical characteristics in glioma. We also evaluated the influence of ABCD3 on the survival of glioma patients. CIBERSORT and Tumor Immune Estimation Resource (TIMER) were also used to investigate the correlation between ABCD3 and cancer immune infiltrates. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was performed to functionally annotate the potential functions or signaling pathways related to ABCD3 expression. Results ABCD3 was among the top 5 downregulated genes in glioma cells after oncolytic virus EV-A71 infection and was significantly enriched in several GO categories. Both the mRNA and protein expression levels of ABCD3 were upregulated in glioma samples and associated with the prognosis and grades of glioma patients. The Kaplan–Meier (K-M) curve analysis revealed that patients with high ABCD3 expression had shorter disease-specific survival (DSS) and overall survival (OS) than those with low ABCD3 expression. Moreover, ABCD3 expression could affect the immune infiltration levels and diverse immune marker sets in glioma. A positive correlation was found between ABCD3 and macrophages and active dendritic cells in the microenvironment of both the GBM and LGG. Gene sets including the plk1 pathway, tyrobp causal network, ir-damage and cellular response, and interleukin-10 signaling showed significant differential enrichment in the high ABCD3 expression phenotype. Conclusion Our results suggested that ABCD3 could be a potential biomarker for glioma prognosis and immunotherapy response and also further enriched the theoretical and molecular mechanisms of oncolytic virus treatment for malignant gliomas.

Abstract
N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is an epigenetic modification that widely exists in long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and is involved in the regulation of oncogenes or tumor suppressor genes that form complex enzymes to affect the occurrence of tumors. The abnormal modification of m6A methylation can alter the overall m6A level and thus contribute to the malignant biological behaviors of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). LncRNAs related to m6A methylation are involved in lipogenesis, the proliferation, migration and invasion of HCC cells, the stemness of tumor cells and sorafenib resistance. In this review, we systematically elaborated the occurrence mechanism of lncRNA and m6A methylation modification in HCC and the effect of m6A methylation modification of lncRNA on the occurrence of HCC, suggesting that the combination of m6A methylation modification and lncRNA will be more meaningful as molecular markers or prognostic markers. It is helpful to provide further ideas for exploring the pathogenesis of HCC and identifying new targets for HCC treatment and diagnosis and achieve precise individual treatment of liver cancer.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Placenta previa greatly contributes to severe antenatal and post-partum hemorrhage. Previous studies have mainly focused on the risk factors of placenta previa, with very few studies reporting which factors may affect the potential resolution of 28th-week previa. This study aimed to investigate the impact of maternal characteristics on potential resolution of placenta previa from the 28th-to the 36th-week of pregnancy. METHODS A retrospective longitudinal sub-cohort investigation was carried out among 368 pregnant women with 28th-week previa from the Longitudinal Placenta Previa Study (LoPPS). Logistic regression analysis was used to discover the connections between maternal covariates and the placental potential resolution. Multivariable linear regression analysis was used to detect the associations between perioperative characteristics and volume of intraoperative bleeding. RESULTS Among pregnant women whose placenta completely or partially covered the internal os at the 28th-week of pregnancy, 37.5% were without placenta previa at the 36th-week and 25.8% converted into marginal placenta previa. There were significant correlation between placenta previa type and GHD (Beta: 2.808, 95% CI: 1.642, 7.138; p = 0.041), type of 28th-week previa (Beta: 6.767, 95% CI: 1.592, 18.767; p < 0.001), and number of prior cesarean sections (Beta: 3.326, 95% CI: 1.580, 9.081; p < 0.001). DISCUSSION 62.5% of the pregnant women with 28th-week placenta previa were still with previa at the 36 weeks of gestation (25.8% with marginal and 36.7% with partial/complete placenta previa). This proportion is even higher for 28th-week complete placenta previa. TRIAL REGISTRATION Chinese Clinical Trial Registry ChiCTR2100054068, December 8, 2021.

Abstract
Parallel imaging is an important method to accel-erate the acquisition of magnetic resonance imaging data, which can shorten the breath-hold times and reduce motion artifacts. In this paper, we propose a joint frequency domain and image domain (dual-domain) reconstruction method by introducing the full sampling condition for the undersampled multi-coil MR data. The motivation is that the dual domain method can provide more information for accurate image reconstruction. An efficient iterative algorithm is developed based on the variable splitting technique and alternating direction method of multipliers, which is unrolled into an end-to-end trainable deep neural network. We evaluate the proposed network on complex valued multi-coil knee images for both 6-fold and 8-fold acceleration factors, and compare with both variational and deep learning based reconstruction algorithms. The numerical results demonstrate that our method provides better reconstruction accuracy and perceptual quality by making using of the dual domain information. Clinical relevance: This improves the reconstruction quality for accelerated parallel MRI data both visually and quantitatively.

Abstract
Simvastatin (SIM) is one of the most widely used lipid-lowering drugs and consequently has been frequently detected in various waters. However, its potential adverse effects and toxic mechanisms on non-target organisms such as Daphnia magna (D. magna) remain still unclear. In the present study, the expressions of Nrf2 and antioxidant genes including Keap1, HO-1, GCLC, GST, SOD, CAT, GPx5, GPx7, GRx, TRX, TrxR, and Prx1 in D. magna exposed to SIM for 24 h, 48 h, and 96 h were investigated. The changes of SOD, CAT, GST, and GPx enzymatic activities, and the GSH and MDA content under SIM for 48-h exposure were also addressed. Results showed that the expression of Nrf2 was inhibited at 24 h but induced at 96 h, displaying a time- and/or dose-dependent relationship under SIM exposure. In contrast, Keap1 exhibited induction at 24 h. HO-1 showed significant induction under SIM exposure for different time. SOD generally displayed an induction trend under SIM exposure for different periods. GPX5 expression showed significant induction under SIM exposure, particularly at 24 h in 5 µg L-1 increasing 15 folds of the control. But GPX7 expression generally displayed inhibition except in 5 µg L-1. Trx and TrxR showed different induction or inhibition, which was depended on the exposure time and concentration. Prx1 displayed significant induction in most SIM groups. In addition, the decreasing GSH and increasing MDA content also indicated oxidative stress of SIM exposure. Overall, SIM exposure affected the expression of Nrf2 and antioxidant-related genes and altered the redox homeostasis of D. magna, even may cause the morphological changes such as shorten spine and abnormal development eye.

Abstract
Microplastics (MPs) could be as a vector to colonize microorganisms and antibiotic resistance gene (ARGs) in surface water. However, little information is known regarding their changes by the presence of MPs in wastewater treatment. Here, the effects of different concentrations and sizes of polystyrene microplastics (PSMPs) on the distribution and removal of microbial communities and ARGs under ultraviolet disinfection of urban sewage have been systematically studied. Results showed that the presence of MPs altered abundance and functions of microorganisms in wastewater, despite different effects on different types of microorganisms. The most abundant ARGs in original disinfection tank sewage was rpoB2 (6.34%). A certain concentration range of MPs can improve the ability of specific types of ARGs in the UV disinfection process. Compared to the system without PSMPs, the content of Deinococcus-Thermus and Bacteroidetes phylum increased, while Actinobacteria and Proteobacteria phylum decreased in the presence of MPs. The microbial functions, especially the genetic information processing and metabolism were altered by the presence of PSMPs. In addition, PSMPs altered the content of ARGs, where the contents of OXA-182 and ErmH were increased, while adeF and ANT3-Iic were decreased. PSMPs also decreased the free ARB content in wastewater by providing colonization sites. The UV disinfection efficiency of microorganisms and ARGs was also intervened by PSMPs since they provided colonization sites and increased the water turbidity. The findings indicated that PSMPs altered the distribution and removal of microbial community and ARGs in ultraviolet disinfection of wastewater, highlighting the combined risks.

Activating cGAS-STING axis contributes to neuroinflammation in CVST mouse model and induces inflammasome activation and microglia pyroptosis. J Neuroinflammation 2022; 19:137. Abstract
Background Neuroinflammation-induced injury is intimately associated with poor prognosis in patients with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). The cyclic GMP-AMP synthase–stimulator of interferon gene (cGAS–STING) axis is a cytoplasmic double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) sensing pathway has recently emerged as a crucial mediator of neuroinflammation in ischemic stroke. However, the role of the cGAS–STING pathway in modulating post-CVST inflammation and the underlying mechanisms involved remain unclear. Methods A CVST model was induced by ferric chloride in male C57BL/6J mice. The selective cGAS inhibitor RU.521, STING agonist 2′3′-cGAMP, and STING siRNA were delivered by intranasal administration or intraventricular injection. Post-CVST assessments included rotarod test, TUNEL staining, Fluoro-Jade C staining, dihydroethidium staining, western blotting, qPCR, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, ELISA and flow cytometry. Results cGAS, STING, NLRP3 and GSDMD were significantly upregulated after CVST and mostly in the microglia of the mouse brain. CVST triggered the release of dsDNA into the cytoplasm and elicited an inflammatory response via activating the cGAS–STING axis. RU.521 decreased the levels of 2′3′-cGAMP, STING and downstream inflammatory cytokines, and suppressed the expressions of NLRP3 inflammasome and pyroptosis-pertinent components containing cleaved caspase-1, GSDMD, GSDMD-C, pro- and cleaved IL-1β, and cleaved IL-1β/pro-IL-1β. Besides, RU.521 treatment also reduced oxidative stress, lessened the numbers of microglia and neutrophils, and ameliorated neuronal apoptosis, degeneration along with neurological deficits post-CVST. 2′3'-cGAMP delivery enhanced the expressions of STING and related inflammatory mediators, NLRP3 inflammasome and pyroptosis-relevant proteins, whereas these alterations were significantly abrogated by the silencing of STING by siRNA. Conclusions Our data demonstrate that repression of the cGAS–STING pathway diminishes the neuroinflammatory burden of CVST and highlight this approach as a potential therapeutic tactic in CVST-mediated pathologies. Abstract
Nanozymes have been widely utilized in colorimetric sensors and developing nanomaterials with multienzyme functions have more application prospects due to their cascaded catalytic efficiency. Here, a unique organic-inorganic nanocomposite CoFe2O4/H2PPOP was synthesized by depositing CoFe2O4 nanocubes on a fully conjugated porphyrin-based porous organic polymer (H2PPOP) in situ. CoFe2O4/H2PPOP revealed outstanding tetra-enzyme-like activities, namely oxidase-like, peroxidase-like, catalase-like and superoxide dismutase-like activities. Compared with pure CoFe2O4 nanocubes, the catalytic activities of CoFe2O4/H2PPOP were significantly boosted because of the large surface area and extended conjugated structure of H2PPOP, abundant active substances (CoFe2O4) on the surface and the effective electronic transfer between CoFe2O4 and H2PPOP. Based on the oxidase-like activity of CoFe2O4/H2PPOP, a colorimetric platform was constructed for Cr (VI) with a wide linear range (0.6-100 μM) and a low detection limit (26 nΜ). Further utilizing the double oxidase-like and peroxidase-like activities, a more sensitive colorimetric platform with a faster detection speed for Cr (VI) was realized with the LOD as low as 2 nΜ. This work opens up a new way to prepare multi-enzyme active nanozyme and excavates its potential for detecting environmental pollutants.

Abstract
Idiopathic short stature (ISS) is the most common paediatric endocrine disease. However, the underlying pathology of ISS remains unclear. Currently, there are no effective diagnostic markers or therapeutic strategies available for ISS. In this study, we aimed to identify differential plasma protein expression and novel biomarkers in patients with ISS, and elucidate the biological functions of candidate proteins in ISS pathogenesis. Four specimen pairs from four ISS children and age‐/sex‐matched control individuals were subjected to proteomics analysis, and 340 samples of children with a mean age 9.73 ± 0.24 years were utilized to further verify the differentially expressed proteins by enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The receiver‐operating characteristic (ROC) curve and the area under the ROC curve (AUC) were plotted. A total of 2040 proteins were identified, of which 84 were differentially expressed. In vitro and in vivo experiments confirmed the biological functions of these candidate proteins. LCN2 overexpression in ISS was verified using ELISA. Meanwhile, LCN2 showed high sensitivity and specificity in discriminating children with ISS from those with growth hormone deficiency, precocious puberty and normal control individuals. The upregulated expression of LCN2 not only suppressed food intake but also impaired chondrocyte proliferation and bone growth in chondrocytes and rats. As a result, the rats presented a short‐stature phenotype. Subsequently, we found that bone growth inhibition recovered after LCN2 overexpression was stopped in immature rats. To our knowledge, this is the first study to report that LCN2 may be a significant target for ISS diagnosis and treatment.

Abstract
The implementation of China’s mandatory corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure in 2008 provides us with a natural experiment setting. In this paper, we examine the effects of mandatory CSR disclosure on the levels of firms’ tax avoidance and tax incidence. By using a difference-in-differences model, we predict and find that mandatory CSR reporting firms tend to be less tax aggressive. Then we test who bears the burden of the effective tax rate increase. It shows that the increase of effective tax rate causes a drop in firm output and imposes a tax burden on the firms’ consumers. The reduction in output also reduces demand for the firms’ inputs and after-tax returns, passing tax burden to suppliers, other stakeholders, employees, and shareholders. In contrast, there is no evidence that the decrease of firms’ tax avoidance activities influences the tax incidence of governments, banks, and other creditors. These findings provide evidence that mandatory CSR disclosure changes firm tax planning activities and indeed influences the costs of various stakeholders.

Abstract
The addition of alkaline and magnesium sources during the recovery of NH4+ and PO43- in the form of struvite using the traditional struvite precipitation method increases the production cost. To solve this problem, a magnesium-air cell (MAC) system was used herein to recover NH4+ and PO43- as struvite from wastewater using a magnesium strip (Mg2+) and the oxygen adsorbed on the surface of a titanium plate (OH-) as the anode and cathode, respectively. Experimental parameters (i.e. initial solution pH, temperature, NH4+/PO43- molar ratio, NH4+ and PO43- initial concentrations and stirring intensity) were found to affect the removal rate of NH4+ and PO43-. The presence of Ca2+ decreased the struvite purity. At Ca2+/PO43- ratios of 0:1 and 0.5:1, the purity of the obtained struvite after 6 h was 93.8% and 58.9%, respectively. Struvite with a purity of 95.7%, electricity with an average output power of 2.53 mW, and an energy density of 1.05 W/m2 were obtained when the proposed system was used to recover NH4+ and PO43- from an actual supernatant of domestic sludge anaerobic digestion. Scanning electron microscopy-energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analyses showed that the obtained struvite exhibited almost the same physicochemical properties as commercial struvite. Thus, the MAC system can be regarded as an effective method for recovering NH4+ and PO43- in the form of struvite from wastewater.

Abstract
A series of water-soluble cationic thienoviologen derivative photosensitizers (nTPy-Rs) for photodynamic therapy (PDT) is reported. Cationic pyridine groups were introduced into the thiophene framework to enhance solubility and bacteria-binding ability, which effectively improved bacteriological imaging and antibacterial activity. The optoelectronic properties of nTPy-Rs were regulated by adjusting the number of thiophene groups, and the differences in antibacterial activity due to the functional scaffolds were compared. The results showed that nTPy-Rs could generate reactive oxygen species (ROS, including macroscopic free radicals), efficiently inhibit bacterial growth, and achieve the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) to the ng mL-1 level. Remarkably, 2TPyC6, containing two thiophene groups and modified by alkyl side chains, showed the best bacteriostatic performance, with the MIC of 20 ng mL-1 and 4.5 ng mL-1 for E. coli and S. aureus, respectively, which are the lowest photosensitizer concentrations used in PDT to date. The low cell cytotoxicity and excellent antibacterial performance give nTPy-Rs great potential as PDT agents in vivo.

Abstract
Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in Chinese women, and its incidence is increasing. Regular screening is an effective method for early tumor detection and improving patient prognosis. In this review, we analyze the epidemiological changes and risk factors associated with breast cancer in China and describe the establishment of a screening strategy suitable for Chinese women. Chinese patients with breast cancer tend to be younger than Western patients and to have denser breasts. Therefore, the age of initial screening in Chinese women should be earlier, and the importance of screening with a combination of ultrasound and mammography is stressed. Moreover, Chinese patients with breast cancers have several ancestry-specific genetic features, and aiding in the determination of genetic screening strategies for identifying high-risk populations. On the basis of current studies, we summarize the development of risk-stratified breast cancer screening guidelines for Chinese women and describe the significant improvement in the prognosis of patients with breast cancer in China.

Abstract
The functional integrity of CD8+ T cells is tightly coupled to metabolic reprogramming, but how oxidative stress directs CD8+ T cell metabolic fitness in the tumor microenvironment (TME) remains elusive. Here, we report that SUMO-specific protease 7 (SENP7) senses oxidative stress to maintain the CD8+ T cell metabolic state and antitumor functions. SENP7-deficient CD8+ T cells exhibited decreased glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation, resulting in attenuated proliferation in vitro and dampened antitumor functions in vivo. Mechanistically, CD8+ T cell–derived ROS triggered cytosolic SENP7–mediated PTEN deSUMOylation, thereby promoting PTEN degradation and preventing PTEN-dependent metabolic defects. Importantly, lowering T cell–intrinsic ROS restricted SENP7 cytosolic translocation and repressed CD8+ T cell metabolic and functional activity in human colorectal cancer samples. Our findings reveal that SENP7, as an oxidative stress sensor, sustains CD8+ T cell metabolic fitness and effector functions and unveil an oxidative stress–sensing machinery in tumor-infiltrating CD8+ T cells.

Abstract
The acquisition of professional knowledge is a core issue in the formation of auditor industry expertise; however, previous literature has neglected the time required for auditors to acquire professional knowledge. We examine the audit quality and fees of audit firms in different stages of an auditor acquiring professional knowledge and find that, in the initial stage of the process of knowledge acquisition, audit quality and audit fees decrease. However, in the long run, knowledge learning has a more obvious effect on the improvement of audit quality and audit fees. Specifically, knowledge learning has a positive effect on the development of audit firms.

Abstract
Aquaculture wastewater contained large amounts of pathogenic microorganisms, nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P). In this study, the nutrient recoveries and wastewater disinfection were simultaneously achieved using Mg-coconut shell carbon (Mg-CSC). The composites were prepared by a ball milling method. The hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) was in-situ generated by the dissolved oxygen reduction driven by Mg corrosion on the CSC surface, which inactivated the microorganisms. Besides that, Mg corrosion provided sufficient Mg ions and appropriate pH conditions for struvite formation. The results show that 5.4-log E.coli removal was achieved under different conditions. Improving the Mg/CSC ratio and composite dosage could shorten the time required for disinfection. In addition to H2O2, singlet oxygen played a critical role. Reactive oxygen species destroyed the cellular structure and killed the bacteria. The recoveries of NH4+-Nand P under certain conditions were about 60% and 91%, respectively. An increased composite dosage could improve the recovery ratio of P. Excessive dosages were not beneficial for removing NH4+-N. The characterization result revealed that struvite crystals were the main precipitates on the CSC surface. The Mg-CSC composites also revealed satisfied nutrient recovery and disinfection performances in the real aquaculture wastewater treatment process.
