Abstract
Because effective control measures are lacking, tea leaf spot caused by Didymella segeticola results in huge tea (Camellia sinensis) production losses on tea plantations in Guizhou Province, southwestern China. Screening for natural antimicrobial agents with higher control effects against this pathogen and studying their modes of action may contribute to disease management. Here, Penicillium griseofulvum-derived antimicrobial griseofulvin (GSF) can inhibit the hyphal growth of D. segeticola strain GZSQ-4, with a half-maximal effective concentration of 0.37 μg/ml in vitro and a higher curative efficacy at a lower dose of 25 μg/ml for detached tea twigs. GSF induces deformed and slightly curly hyphae with enlarged ends, with protoplasts agglutinated in the hyphae, and higher numbers of hyphal protuberances. GSF alters hyphal morphology and the subcellular structure's order. The integrated transcriptome and proteome data revealed that the transport of materials in cells, cellular movement, and mitosis were modulated by GSF. Molecular docking indicated that beta-tubulin was the most potent target of GSF, with a binding free energy of -13.59 kcal/mol, and microscale thermophoresis indicated that the dissociation constant (Kd) value of GSF binding to beta-tubulin 1, compared with beta-tubulin 2, was significantly lower. Thus, GSF potentially targets beta-tubulin 1 to disturb the chromosomal separation and fungal mitosis, thereby inhibiting hyphal growth.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the characteristics of scientific papers in the field of global liver diseases published by Chinese scholars that were retracted for diverse reasons from the Retraction Watch database, so as to provide a reference to publishing-related papers. Methods: The Retraction Watch database was retrieved for retracted papers in the field of global liver disease published by Chinese scholars from March 1, 2008 to January 28, 2021. The regional distribution, source journals, reasons for retraction, publication and retraction times, and others were analyzed. Results: A total of 101 retracted papers that were distributed across 21 provinces/cities were retrieved. Zhejiang area (n = 17) had the most retracted papers, followed by Shanghai (n = 14), and Beijing (n = 11). The vast majority were research papers (n = 95). The journal PLoS One had the highest number of retracted papers. In terms of time distribution, 2019 (n = 36) had the most retracted papers. 23 papers, accounting for 8.3% of all retractions, were retracted owing to journal or publisher concerns. Liver cancer (34%), liver transplantation (16%), hepatitis (14%), and others were the main areas of retracted papers. Conclusion: Chinese scholars have a large number of retracted articles in the field of global liver diseases. A journal or publisher chooses to retract a manuscript after investigating and discovering more flawed problems, which, however, require further support, revision, and supervision from the editorial and academic circles.

Abstract
BACKGROUND CACNA1C rs1006737 A allele, identified as a genetic risk variant for bipolar disorder (BD), is associated with anomalous functional connectivity in adults with and without BD. Studies have yet to investigate the association of CACNA1C rs1006737 with resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) in youth BD. METHODS Participants included 139 youth with BD-I, -II, or -not otherwise specified, ages 13-20 years, including 27 BD A-carriers, 41 BD non-carriers, 32 healthy controls (HC) A-carriers, and 39 HC non-carriers. Anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), amygdala, and orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) were examined as regions-of-interest in seed-to-voxel analyses. General linear models included main effects of diagnosis and rs1006737, and an interaction term, controlling for age, sex, and race. RESULTS We observed a main effect of BD diagnosis on rsFC between the right amygdala and the right occipital pole (p = 0.02), and a main effect of rs1006737 genotypes on rsFC between the right OFC and bilateral occipital cortex (p < 0.001). Two significant BD diagnosis-by-CACNA1C rs1006737 interactions were also identified. The A allele was associated with positive rsFC between the right ACC and right amygdala in BD but negative rsFC in HC (p = 0.01), and negative rsFC between the left OFC and left putamen in BD but positive rsFC in HC (p = 0.01). CONCLUSION This study found that the rs1006737 A allele, identified as a genetic risk variant for BD in adults, was differentially associated with rsFC in youth with BD in regions relevant to emotion, executive function, and reward. Future task-based approaches are warranted to better understand brain connectivity in relation to CACNA1C in BD.

Abstract
AIM To establish and verify a 2-[18F]-fluoro-2-deoxy-d-glucose (FDG) positron-emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT)-based radiomics nomogram to predict mediastinal lymph node metastasis (LNM) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients preoperatively. MATERIALS AND METHODS This retrospective study enrolled 155 NSCLC patients (primary cohort, n=93; validation cohort, n=62). For each patient, 2,704 radiomic features were extracted from the primary lung cancer regions. Four procedures including the Mann-Whitney U-test, Spearman's correlation analysis, minimum redundancy-maximum relevance (mRMR), and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) binary logistic regression were utilised for determining essential features and establishing a radiomics signature. After that, a nomogram was established. The nomogram's potential was assessed based on its discrimination, calibration, and clinical usefulness. The radiomics signature and nomogram predictive performances were evaluated with respect to the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), specificity, accuracy, and sensitivity. RESULTS The radiomics signature composed of eight selected features had good discriminatory performance of LNM versus non-LNM groups an AUC of 0.851 and 0.826 in primary and validation cohorts, respectively. The nomogram also indicated good discrimination with an AUC of 0.869 and 0.847 in the primary and validation cohorts, respectively. Furthermore, good calibration was demonstrated utilising the nomogram. CONCLUSIONS An 18F-FDG PET/CT-based radiomics nomogram that integrates the radiomics signature and age was promoted to predict mediastinal LNM within NSCLC patients, which could potentially facilitate individualised therapy for mediastinal LNM before treatment. The nomogram was beneficial in clinical practice, as illustrated by decision curve analysis.

Abstract
The Ångström method is a promising thermal diffusivity measurement method for microfibers. Based on the heat-loss Ångström method and micro-Ångström method, the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) Ångström method can be used to shorten the testing time and enhance the testing robustness of thermal conductivity. The FFT Ångström uses multi-frequency superimposed input signals and then uses the FFT for frequency division analysis. Since different frequencies are input at the same time, the measuring time is greatly reduced. Moreover, because different frequencies are input in the same environment, the random and environmental perturbations of the frequencies are the same, enhancing the fitting robustness. In contrast, the single feeding strategy is relatively time-consuming, and its measurement homogeneity for different frequencies cannot be guaranteed. By comparing the measurement results from a multi-frequency input and separated single-frequency input, the FFT shows good feasibility and robustness. It may also have great potential in other types of thermal wave measurements.

Abstract
There is limited information is known about the composition difference of the gut microbiota in patients with constipation and healthy controls. Here, the faecal 16S rRNA fastq sequence data of microbiota from the publicly available American Gut Project (AGP) were analysed. The tendency score matching (PSM) method was used to match in a 1:1 manner to control for confounding factors age, gender, body mass index (BMI), and country. A total of 524 participants including 262 patients with constipation and 262 healthy controls were included in this analysis. The richness and evenness of the gut microbiota in the constipation group were significantly lower than those in the control group. The dominant genera in the constipation group include Escherichia_Shigella, Pseudomonas, and Citrobacter. The dominant genera in the control group include Faecalibacterium, Prevotella, Roseburia, Clostridium_XlVa, and Blautia. The abundance of three butyrate production-related pathways were significantly higher in the constipation group than in the control groups. There was no significant difference in the diversity and gut microbiota composition in patients with constipation at different ages. In conclusion, patients with constipation showed gut microbiota and butyrate metabolism dysbiosis. This dysbiosis might provide a reference for the diagnosis and clinical therapy of diseases.

Abstract
We present improved germanium-based constraints on sub-GeV dark matter via dark matter-electron (χ-e) scattering using the 205.4 kg·day dataset from the CDEX-10 experiment. Using a novel calculation technique, we attain predicted χ-e scattering spectra observable in high-purity germanium detectors. In the heavy mediator scenario, our results achieve 3 orders of magnitude of improvement for m_{χ} larger than 80 MeV/c^{2} compared to previous germanium-based χ-e results. We also present the most stringent χ-e cross-section limit to date among experiments using solid-state detectors for m_{χ} larger than 90 MeV/c^{2} with heavy mediators and m_{χ} larger than 100 MeV/c^{2} with electric dipole coupling. The result proves the feasibility and demonstrates the vast potential of a new χ-e detection method with high-purity germanium detectors in ultralow radioactive background.

Abstract
A search for exotic dark matter (DM) in the sub-GeV mass range has been conducted using 205 kg day data taken from a p-type point contact germanium detector of the CDEX-10 experiment at China's Jinping underground laboratory. New low-mass dark matter searching channels, neutral current fermionic DM absorption (χ+A→ν+A) and DM-nucleus 3→2 scattering (χ+χ+A→ϕ+A), have been analyzed with an energy threshold of 160 eVee. No significant signal was found; thus new limits on the DM-nucleon interaction cross section are set for both models at the sub-GeV DM mass region. A cross section limit for the fermionic DM absorption is set to be 2.5×10^{-46} cm^{2} (90% C.L.) at DM mass of 10 MeV/c^{2}. For the DM-nucleus 3→2 scattering scenario, limits are extended to DM mass of 5 and 14 MeV/c^{2} for the massless dark photon and bound DM final state, respectively.

Abstract
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a latent, insidious autoimmune disease, and with the development of gene sequencing in recent years, our study aims to develop a gene-based predictive model to explore the identification of SLE at the genetic level. First, gene expression datasets of SLE whole blood samples were collected from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. After the datasets were merged, they were divided into training and validation datasets in the ratio of 7:3, where the SLE samples and healthy samples of the training dataset were 334 and 71, respectively, and the SLE samples and healthy samples of the validation dataset were 143 and 30, respectively. The training dataset was used to build the disease risk prediction model, and the validation dataset was used to verify the model identification ability. We first analyzed differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and then used Lasso and random forest (RF) to screen out six key genes (OAS3, USP18, RTP4, SPATS2L, IFI27 and OAS1), which are essential to distinguish SLE from healthy samples. With six key genes incorporated and five iterations of 10-fold cross-validation performed into the RF model, we finally determined the RF model with optimal mtry. The mean values of area under the curve (AUC) and accuracy of the models were over 0.95. The validation dataset was then used to evaluate the AUC performance and our model had an AUC of 0.948. An external validation dataset (GSE99967) with an AUC of 0.810, an accuracy of 0.836, and a sensitivity of 0.921 was used to assess the model's performance. The external validation dataset (GSE185047) of all SLE patients yielded an SLE sensitivity of up to 0.954. The final high-throughput RF model had a mean value of AUC over 0.9, again showing good results. In conclusion, we identified key genetic biomarkers and successfully developed a novel disease risk prediction model for SLE that can be used as a new SLE disease risk prediction aid and contribute to the identification of SLE.

Abstract
Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors are novel treatment approaches for psoriasis. However, there is no direct comparison of JAK inhibitors in plaque psoriasis. In order to compare the efficacy and safety of JAK inhibitors in psoriasis, we conducted a network meta-analysis using eligible randomized clinical trials (RCTs). The efficacy of JAK inhibitors was evaluated using a 75% improvement in Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI75) from baseline, and the proportion of patients achieving the Physician's Global Assessment (PGA) response. The incidence of treatment-related adverse events (AEs) was also assessed. A total of eight RCTs with tofacitinib, peficitinib, solcitinib, baricitinib, abrocitinib and deucravacitinib were included. A total of 3612 participants who were diagnosed with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis were analysed. Overall, JAK inhibitors showed superior PASI75 response over placebo at both 8 and 12 weeks. Among all included JAK inhibitors, tofacitinib 15 mg twice a day (BID) had the highest probability of achieving PASI75 at both 8 and 12 weeks (SUCRA = 0.938 and 0.937, separately), followed by tofacitinib 10 mg BID (SUCRA = 0.905 and 0.908, separately) and deucravacitinib 12 mg once daily (QD) (SUCRA = 0.874 and 0.837, separately). A similar finding was observed for PGA response. Safety assessment showed that all JAK inhibitors had non-inferior safety compared with placebo, except for deucravacitinib 6 mg BID and 12 mg QD. Tofacitinib 2 mg BID was the first-ranked drug for safety profile followed by deucravacitinib 3 mg QD, and tofacitinib 5 mg BID. When comprehensively evaluated the efficacy and safety, tofacitinib (2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg BID) was superior to other included JAK inhibitors with satisfying PASI75 and PGA response, as well as relatively low incidence of AEs. Our study confirmed that JAK inhibitors had promising treatment efficacy for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. Tofacitinib showed superior efficacy and safety over peficitinib, solcitinib, baricitinib, abrocitinib and deucravacitinib.

Abstract
High-performance and lightweight carbon aerogels (CAs) have attracted considerable attention in various fields such as electrochemistry, catalysis, adsorption, energy storage, and so on. However, finding an environmentally friendly and efficient preparation method and achieving a controllable performance of CAs are still a challenge. Herein, a series of anisotropic carbon/graphene composite aerogels were synthesized by unidirectional freezing of polyamic acid ammonium salt/graphene oxide (PAS/GO) suspension followed by lyophilization, thermal imidization, and carbonization. The prepared aerogels presented a tubular pore structure oriented along the freezing direction. The GO dispersed in the polymer matrix reinforced the skeleton of aerogels, which significantly inhibited the volume shrinkage during the preparation process, thus giving low densities of 0.074-0.185 g cm-3. In addition, the oriented pore structure endowed the composite aerogels with obviously anisotropic heat insulation performance. The radial thermal conductivity was as low as 0.038 W m-1 K-1 at the density of 0.074 g cm-3. When the initial content of GO rose to 20 phr, the resultant aerogels exhibited a high electrical conductivity of about 0.77 S cm-1 in the radial direction and the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) reached 54.6 dB at the same time. Therefore, this study provided a facile and environmentally friendly method to prepare lightweight and anisotropic carbon aerogels.

Abstract
The method of using millimeter-wave radar sensors to detect human vital signs, namely respiration and heart rate, has received widespread attention in non-contact monitoring. These sensors are compact, lightweight, and able to sense and detect various scenarios. However, it still faces serious problems of noisy interference in hardware, which leads to a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). We used a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar sensor operating at 77 GHz in an office environment to extract the respiration and heart rate of a person accustomed to sitting in a chair. Indeed, the proposed signal processing includes novel impulse denoising operations and the spectral estimation decision method, which are unique in terms of noise reduction and accuracy improvement. In addition, the proposed method provides high-quality, repeatable respiration and heart rates with relative errors of 1.33% and 1.96% on average compared with the reference values measured by a reliable smart bracelet.

Abstract
Long-term stability of microbubbles is crucial to their effectiveness. Using a new microfluidic device connecting three T-junction channels of 100 μm in series, stable monodisperse SiQD-loaded bovine serum albumin (BSA) protein microbubbles down to 22.8 ± 1.4 μm in diameter were generated. Fluorescence microscopy confirmed the integration of SiQD on the microbubble surface, which retained the same morphology as those without SiQD. The microbubble diameter and stability in air were manipulated through appropriate selection of T-junction numbers, capillary diameter, liquid flow rate, and BSA and SiQD concentrations. A predictive computational model was developed from the experimental data, and the number of T-junctions was incorporated into this model as one of the variables. It was illustrated that the diameter of the monodisperse microbubbles generated can be tailored by combining up to three T-junctions in series, while the operating parameters were kept constant. Computational modeling of microbubble diameter and stability agreed with experimental data. The lifetime of microbubbles increased with increasing T-junction number and higher concentrations of BSA and SiQD. The present research sheds light on a potential new route employing SiQD and triple T-junctions to form stable, monodisperse, multi-layered, and well-characterized protein and quantum dot-loaded protein microbubbles with enhanced stability for the first time.

Abstract
Thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO) is now the most prevalent orbital disease in adults, with a complex pathophysiology and a wide range of clinical symptoms. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the research on the treatment of TAO. Periorbital steroid injections are considered a precise local treatment and can improve ocular symptoms with minor side effects. However, there is no standardized orbital injection protocol in China, resulting in increased complications. Therefore, it is essential to standardize periorbital steroid injections in treating TAO.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Radiotherapy and surgery are the standard treatments for lung cancer brain metastases (BMs). However, limitted studies focused on the treatments for patients with lung cancer BMs with poor prognosis factors. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of radiotherapy and surgery in patients with lung cancer BMs with poor prognosis factors, providing reference for clinical strategies.
Material and Methods
We analyzed retrospectively 714 patients with lung cancer BMs. A 1:1 propensity score matching (PSM) was performed to balance potential confounders. Analyses of overall survival (OS) and risk factors for OS were assessed by log-rank test and Cox proportional hazard model.
Results
Age ≥65 years, Karnofsky Performance Scale (KPS) score ≤70, anaplastic large-cell lymphoma kinase (ALK)/epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) wild type, extracranial metastases, non-surgery and non-radiotherapy led to poor prognosis. Patients were stratified according to these factors. Radiotherapy and surgery showed no survival benefit in patients with aged ≥65 years or pretreatment KPS score ≤70 before and after PSM. Before PSM, whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) improved the OS and predicted good prognosis in patients with ALK/EGFR wild type or extracranial metastases. WBRT also predicted good prognosis in patients with non-surgery. Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) improved the OS and predicted good prognosis in patients with ALK/EGFR wild type or non-surgery. WBRT plus SRS improved the OS and predicted good prognosis in patients with extracranial metastases or non-surgery. WBRT plus SRS also predicted good prognosis in patients with ALK/EGFR wild type. Surgery improved the OS and predicted good prognosis in patients with non-radiotherapy. After PSM, SRS improved the OS and predicted good prognosis in patients with non-surgery. WBRT plus SRS improved the OS and predicted good prognosis in patients with non-surgery or extracranial metastases. WBRT plus SRS also predicted good prognosis in patients with ALK/EGFR wild type. Surgery improved the OS of patients with non-radiotherapy. We defined that the treatment would provide significant survival benefit if it both prolonged the OS and predicted good prognosis. Meanwhile, the results after PSM were more convincing than the results before PSM.
Conclusion
Radiotherapy has significant survival benefit in patients with lung cancer BMs with poor prognosis factors, including patients with ALK/EGFR wild type or extracranial metastases or non-surgery. Surgery only has significant survival benefit in patients with non-radiotherapy.

Multi-Omics Analysis Reveals that the Antimicrobial Kasugamycin Potential Targets Nitrate Reductase in Didymella segeticola to Achieve Control of Tea Leaf Spot. PHYTOPATHOLOGY 2022; 112:1894-1906. Abstract
Because of the lack of effective disease management measures, tea leaf spot-caused by the fungal phytopathogen Didymella segeticola (syn. Phoma segeticola)-is an important foliar disease. The important and widely used agricultural antimicrobial kasugamycin (Ksg), produced by the Gram-positive bacterium Streptomyces kasugaensis, effects high levels of control against crop diseases. The results of this study indicated that Ksg could inhibit the growth of D. segeticola hyphae in vitro with a half-maximal effective concentration (EC50) of 141.18 μg ml-1. Meanwhile, the curative effect in vivo on the pathogen in detached tea leaves also demonstrated that Ksg induced some morphological changes in organelles, septa, and cell walls as observed by optical microscopy and by scanning and transmission electron microscopy. This may indicate that Ksg disturbs biosynthesis of key metabolites, inhibiting hyphal growth. Integrated transcriptomic, proteomic, and bioinformatic analyses revealed that differentially expressed genes or differentially expressed proteins in D. segeticola hyphae in response to Ksg exposure were involved with metabolic processes and biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. Molecular docking studies indicated that Ksg may target nitrate reductase (NR), and microscale thermophoresis assay showed greater affinity with NR, potentially disturbing nitrogen assimilation and subsequent metabolism. The results indicated that Ksg inhibits the pathogen of tea leaf spot, D. segeticola, possibly by binding to NR, disturbing fungal metabolism, and inducing subsequent changes in hyphal growth and development.
