Abstract
A solvent-dependent oxidative dearomatization-induced divergent [5+2] cascade approach to bicyclo[3.2.1]octanes was described. This novel protocol enables a facile synthesis of a series of diversely functionalized ent-kaurene and cedrene-type skeletons in good yields and excellent diastereoselectivities.

Abstract
We report short syntheses of (-)-tripterifordin and (-)-neotripterifordin, potent inhibitors of HIV replication, from stevioside, a natural sweetener used worldwide. The key transformations are reduction at C13 through the formation of a tertiary chloride and subsequent three-step lactonization including a selective iodination at C20 by the photoreaction of the C19-alcohol. The title compounds were reliably obtained from stevioside in 9 and 11 steps (with 5-7 isolation steps), respectively. Additionally, the related lactone-containing ent-kaurenes, doianoterpenes A and B, and two more natural products were synthesized.

Abstract
Covering: December 2005 to June 2016. Previous review: Nat. Prod. Rep., 2006, 23, 673-698Over the last decade, great efforts have been made to conduct phytochemistry research on the genus Isodon, which have led to the isolation and identification of a number of diterpenoids. At the same time, these newly reported diterpenoids with diverse structures have led to new findings on their biological functions and chemical synthesis research. In this update, we review more than 600 new diterpenoids, including their structures, classifications, biogenetic pathways, bioactivities, and chemical synthesis.

Abstract
Two new grayanoids, rhodomollin A (1) and rhodomollin B (2), possessing an unprecedented D-homo grayanane carbon skeleton, were isolated from the fruits of Rhododendron molle. The structures of 1 and 2 were fully characterized using a combination of spectroscopic analyses and X-ray crystallography. Rhodomollin B (2) exhibited modest activity against influenza virus A/95-359, with an IC50 value of 19.24 μM.
