Abstract
In the organic mol-ecule of the title hydrate, C11H15N3OS·H2O, {systematic name: 3-ethyl-1-{(E)-[1-(2-hy-droxy-phen-yl)ethyl-idene]amino}-thio-urea monohydrate}, a dihedral angle of 5.39 (2)° is formed between the hy-droxy-benzene ring and the non-H atoms comprising the side chain (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0625 Å), with the major deviation from planarity noted for the terminal ethyl group [the C-N-C-C torsion angle = -172.17 (13)°]. The N-H H atoms are syn and an intra-molecular hy-droxy-imine O-H⋯N hydrogen bond is noted. In the crystal, the N-bonded H atoms form hydrogen bonds to symmetry-related water mol-ecules, and the latter form donor inter-actions with the hy-droxy O atom and with a hy-droxy-benzene ring, forming a O-H⋯π inter-action. The hydrogen bonding leads to supra-molecular tubes aligned along the b axis. The tubes are connected into layers via C-H⋯O inter-actions, and these stack along the c axis with no directional inter-actions between them.

Abstract
In the title mol-ecule, C13H13N3O2, the benzo-pyran ring system is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.017 (1) Å. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into ladders along [010]. In addition, π-π inter-actions between inversion-related mol-ecules, with centroid-centroid distances in the range 3.679 (2)-3.876 (2) Å, complete a two-dimensional network parallel to (001).

Abstract
In the crystal of the title compound, [Fe(NCS)3(H2O)3]·3C6H8N2, the Fe(III) cation is located on a threefold rotation axis and is coordinated by three N atoms of the thiocyanate anions and three water mol-ecules in a fac arrangement, forming a slightly distorted N3O3 octa-hedron. Stabilization within the crystal structure is provided by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds; the H atoms from coordinating water mol-ecules act as donors to the N atoms of guest 2,3-di-methyl-pyrazine mol-ecules, leading to a three-dimensional supra-molecular framework.

Abstract
The title compound, C24H22N4O5, crystallizes with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit (Z' = 2) oriented almost perpendicular to each other [dihedral angle between the central core of each mol-ecule = 77.95 (3)°]. The two mol-ecules exhibit similar conformations with an extended structure. An intra-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bond occurs in each mol-ecule. The two mol-ecules are linked by a bifurcated N-H⋯(O,N) hydrogen bond involving the NH group in mol-ecule A as donor. They are further linked into a ribbon along the a-axis direction by further bifurcated N-H⋯(O,N) hydrogen bonds involving the NH group in mol-ecule B as donor. C-H⋯O inter-actions are also observed.

Abstract
In the title compound, C15H16N2S2, the central CN2S2 residue is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0354 Å) and forms dihedral angles of 56.02 (4) and 75.52 (4)° with the phenyl and tolyl rings, respectively; the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 81.72 (5)°. The conformation about the N-N bond is gauche [C-N-N-C = -117.48 (15)°]. Overall, the mol-ecule has the shape of the letter L. In the crystal packing, supra-molecular chains along the a axis are formed by N-H⋯S(thione) hydrogen bonds whereby the thione S atom accepts two such bonds. The hydrogen bonding leads to alternating edge-shared eight-membered {⋯HNCS}2 and 10-membered {⋯HNNH⋯S}2 synthons. The chains are connected into layers by phen-yl-tolyl C-H⋯π inter-actions; the layers stack along the c axis with no specific inter-actions between them.

Abstract
The title polynuclear organometallic titanium(IV) oxide, [{Ti3(η(5)-C5Me5)3(μ-O)4}2(μ-O)], exhibits two Ti3O4 cores bridged by an O atom located on a twofold axis. All metal centres present the typical three-legged piano-stool coordination environment, where one site is occupied by a penta-methyl-cyclo-penta-dienyl ligand linked in an η(5)-coordination fashion, while three bridging O atoms fill the other three sites.

Abstract
In the title compound, C25H26N2O2S2, the central CN2S2 atoms are almost coplanar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0058 Å). One phenyl ring clearly lies to one side of the central plane, while the other is oriented in the plane but splayed. Despite the different relative orientations, the phenyl rings form similar dihedral angles of 64.90 (3) and 70.06 (3)° with the central plane, and 63.28 (4)° with each other. The benzene ring is twisted with respect to the central plane, forming a dihedral angle of 13.17 (7)°. The S2C=N, N-N and N-N=C bond lengths of 1.2919 (19), 1.4037 (17) and 1.2892 (19) Å, respectively, suggest limited conjugation over these atoms; the configuration about the N-N=C bond is E. An intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond is noted. In the crystal, phen-yl-meth-oxy C-H⋯O and phen-yl-phenyl C-H⋯π inter-actions lead to supra-molecular double chains parallel to the b axis. These are connected into a layer via meth-yl-phenyl C-H⋯π inter-actions, and layers stack along the a axis, being connected by weak π-π inter-actions between phenyl rings [inter-centroid distance = 3.9915 (9) Å] so that a three-dimensional architecture ensues.

Abstract
The title compound, C15H12N2O2S, crystallizes in the ortho-rhom-bic space group Pna21 , with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit (Z' = 2). Each mol-ecule consists of a 2-hy-droxy Schiff base moiety linked through a spacer to a 2-amino-benzo-thia-zole moiety. Each mol-ecule contains an intra-molecular hydrogen bond between the -OH group and imine N atom, forming a six-membered ring. The two independent molecules are linked by a pair of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming dimers with an R (2) 2(20) ring motif. These dimers are further lined into sheets in the ab plane by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N inter-actions. The structure was refined as an inversion twin.

Abstract
In order to obtain complexes held together by hydrogen as well as halogen bonds, 6-chlorouracil [6-chloropyrimidin-2,4(1H,3H)-dione; 6CU] and its 3-methyl derivative [6-chloro-3-methylpyrimidin-2,4(1H,3H)-dione; M6CU] were cocrystallized with 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidine and the three triazine derivatives 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazine (melamine), 2,4-diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine and 2-chloro-4,6-diamino-1,3,5-triazine, which all offer complementary hydrogen-bonding sites. Three of these compounds form cocrystals with 6CU; however, melamine yielded only a new pseudopolymorph with 6CU, but formed a cocrystal with M6CU. All six cocrystals contain solvent molecules (N,N-dimethylformamide,N,N-dimethylacetamide orN-methylpyrrolidin-2-one), whose intermolecular interactions contribute significantly to the stabilization of the crystal packing. Each of these structures comprises chains, which are primarily formed by strong hydrogen bonds with a basic framework built byR22(8) hydrogen bonds of either pure N—H...N or mixed patterns. Solvent molecules are aligned to the border of these chainsviaN—H...O hydrogen bonds. Two of the reported crystal structures containing 6CU show additional Cl...O halogen bonds, which connect the chains to two-dimensional layers, while one weak and one strong Cl...Cl interaction are observed in the two structures in which molecules of M6CU are present.

Abstract
Four structures of oxoindolyl α-hydroxy-β-amino acid derivatives, namely, methyl 2-{3-[(tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino]-1-methyl-2-oxoindolin-3-yl}-2-methoxy-2-phenylacetate, C24H28N2O6, (I), methyl 2-{3-[(tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino]-1-methyl-2-oxoindolin-3-yl}-2-ethoxy-2-phenylacetate, C25H30N2O6, (II), methyl 2-{3-[(tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino]-1-methyl-2-oxoindolin-3-yl}-2-[(4-methoxybenzyl)oxy]-2-phenylacetate, C31H34N2O7, (III), and methyl 2-[(anthracen-9-yl)methoxy]-2-{3-[(tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino]-1-methyl-2-oxoindolin-3-yl}-2-phenylacetate, C38H36N2O6, (IV), have been determined. The diastereoselectivity of the chemical reaction involving α-diazoesters and isatin imines in the presence of benzyl alcohol is confirmed through the relative configuration of the two stereogenic centres. In esters (I) and (III), the amide group adopts an anti conformation, whereas the conformation is syn in esters (II) and (IV). Nevertheless, the amide group forms intramolecular N-H···O hydrogen bonds with the ester and ether O atoms in all four structures. The ether-linked substituents are in the extended conformation in all four structures. Ester (II) is dominated by intermolecular N-H···O hydrogen-bond interactions. In contrast, the remaining three structures are sustained by C-H···O hydrogen-bond interactions.

Abstract
A second polymorph of the hydrochloride salt of the recreational drug ethylone, C12H16NO3(+)·Cl(-), is reported [systematic name: (±)-2-ethylammonio-1-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propane-1-one chloride]. This polymorph, denoted form (A), appears in crystallizations performed above 308 K. The originally reported form (B) [Wood et al. (2015). Acta Cryst. C71, 32-38] crystallizes preferentially at room temperature. The conformations of the cations in the two forms differ by a 180° rotation about the C-C bond linking the side chain to the aromatic ring. Hydrogen bonding links the cations and anions in both forms into similar extended chains in which any one chain contains only a single enantiomer of the chiral cation, but the packing of the ions is different. In form (A), the aromatic rings of adjacent chains interleave, but pack equally well if neighbouring chains contain the same or opposite enantiomorph of the cation. The consequence of this is then near perfect inversion twinning in the structure. In form (B), neighbouring chains are always inverted, leading to a centrosymmetric space group. The question as to why the polymorphs crystallize at slightly different temperatures has been examined by density functional theory (DFT) and lattice energy calculations and a consideration of packing compactness. The free energy (ΔG) of the crystal lattice for polymorph (A) lies some 52 kJ mol(-1) above that of polymorph (B).

Abstract
The results of seven cocrystallization experiments of the antithyroid drug 6-methyl-2-thiouracil (MTU), C(5)H(6)N(2)OS, with 2,4-diaminopyrimidine, 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidine and 6-amino-3H-isocytosine (viz. 2,6-diamino-3H-pyrimidin-4-one) are reported. MTU features an ADA (A = acceptor and D = donor) hydrogen-bonding site, while the three coformers show complementary DAD hydrogen-bonding sites and therefore should be capable of forming an ADA/DAD N-H...O/N-H...N/N-H...S synthon with MTU. The experiments yielded one cocrystal and six cocrystal solvates, namely 6-methyl-2-thiouracil-2,4-diaminopyrimidine-1-methylpyrrolidin-2-one (1/1/2), C(5)H(6)N(2)OS·C(4)H(6)N(4)·2C(5)H(9)NO, (I), 6-methyl-2-thiouracil-2,4-diaminopyrimidine (1/1), C(5)H(6)N(2)OS·C(4)H(6)N(4), (II), 6-methyl-2-thiouracil-2,4-diaminopyrimidine-N,N-dimethylacetamide (2/1/2), 2C(5)H(6)N(2)OS·C(4)H(6)N(4)·2C(4)H(9)NO, (III), 6-methyl-2-thiouracil-2,4-diaminopyrimidine-N,N-dimethylformamide (2/1/2), C(5)H(6)N(2)OS·0.5C(4)H(6)N(4)·C(3)H(7)NO, (IV), 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidinium 6-methyl-2-thiouracilate-6-methyl-2-thiouracil-N,N-dimethylformamide (1/1/2), C(4)H(8)N(5)(+)·C(5)H(5)N(2)OS(-)·C(5)H(6)N(2)OS·2C(3)H(7)NO, (V), 6-methyl-2-thiouracil-6-amino-3H-isocytosine-N,N-dimethylformamide (1/1/1), C(5)H(6)N(2)OS·C(4)H(6)N(4)O·C(3)H(7)NO, (VI), and 6-methyl-2-thiouracil-6-amino-3H-isocytosine-dimethyl sulfoxide (1/1/1), C(5)H(6)N(2)OS·C(4)H(6)N(4)O·C(2)H(6)OS, (VII). Whereas in cocrystal (I) an R(2)(2)(8) interaction similar to the Watson-Crick adenine/uracil base pair is formed and a two-dimensional hydrogen-bonding network is observed, the cocrystals (II)-(VII) contain the triply hydrogen-bonded ADA/DAD N-H...O/N-H...N/N-H...S synthon and show a one-dimensional hydrogen-bonding network. Although 2,4-diaminopyrimidine possesses only one DAD hydrogen-bonding site, it is, due to orientational disorder, triply connected to two MTU molecules in (III) and (IV).

Abstract
Polymorph (Ia) (m.p. 474 K) of the title compound, C(12)H(18)N(2)O(3), displays an N-H...O=C hydrogen-bonded layer structure which contains R(6)(6)(28) rings connecting six molecules, as well as R2(2)(8) rings linking two molecules. The 3-connected hydrogen-bonded net resulting from these interactions has the hcb topology. Form (Ib) (m.p. 471 K) displays N-H...O=C hydrogen-bonded looped chains in which neighbouring molecules are linked to one another by two different R(2)(2)(8) rings. Polymorph (Ia) is isostructural with the previously reported form II of 5-(2-bromoallyl)-5-isopropylbarbituric acid (noctal) and polymorph (Ib) is isostructural with the known crystal structures of four other barbiturates.

Abstract
The title dodecanuclear Mn complex, namely dodeca-μ(2)-acetato-κ(24)O:O'-tetraaquatetra-μ(2)-nitrato-κ(8)O:O'-tetra-μ(4)-oxido-octa-μ(3)-oxido-tetramanganese(IV)octamanganese(III) nitromethane tetrasolvate, [Mn(12)(CH(3)COO)(12)(NO(3))(4)O(12)(H(2)O)(4)]·4CH(3)NO(2), was synthesized by the reaction of Mn(2+) and Ce(4+) sources in nitromethane with an excess of acetic acid. This compound is distinct from the previously known single-molecule magnet [Mn(12)O(12)(O(2)CMe)(16)(H(2)O)(4)], synthesized by Lis [Acta Cryst. (1980), B36, 2042-2044]. It is the first Mn(12)-type molecule containing nitrate ligands to be directly synthesized without the use of a preformed cluster. Additionally, this molecule is distinct from all other known Mn(12) complexes due to intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the nitrate and water ligands, which give rise to a three-dimensional network. The complex is compared to other known Mn(12) molecules in terms of its structural parameters and symmetry.

Abstract
The literature compound 3β-hy-droxy-bis-nor-5-cholenic aldehyde is an important inter-mediate for the synthesis of new modulators of the nuclear oxysterol receptor Liver X. As part of our ongoing search for new LXR antagonists, the title compound, C24H39NO3, has proven to be an important inter-mediate in our new synthetic pathway, giving the corresponding aldehyde in high yield and in only three steps from the commercially available 3β-hy-droxy-bis-nor-5-cholenic acid. The title amide crystallized with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit, linked into helices by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the hy-droxy and carbonyl groups.

Abstract
The title compound, C9H10N4OS·0.5H2O, crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit, together with a water mol-ecule of crystallization. The acetamide moiety, which has an extended conformation, is inclined to the pyridine ring by 7.95 (16)° in mol-ecule A and by 1.77 (16)° in mol-ecule B. In the crystal, the A and B mol-ecules are linked by two N-H⋯Ocarbon-yl hydrogen bonds, forming a dimer. The dimers are linked via N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons that are linked by N-H⋯Owater hydrogen bonds to form sheets parallel to (110). The sheets are linked by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming slabs, and between the slabs there are weak slipped parallel π-π inter-actions [inter-centroid distance = 3.734 (2) Å, inter-planar distance = 3.3505 (11) Å and slippage = 1.648 Å], forming a three-dimensional structure.

Abstract
In the title compound, C23H20N2O4S2, the central pyrrolidine ring adopts an envelope conformation with the spiro C atom, shared with the benzo-thio-phene ring system, as the flap. The thia-zole ring has a twisted conformation on the S-C bond, where the C atom is that closest to methine C atom. The mean planes of the benzo-thio-phene and indoline ring systems are inclined to the mean plane of the central pyrrolidine ring by 82.75 (8) and 80.03 (8)°, respectively, and to each other by 61.49 (6)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with an R 2 (2)(8) ring motif. The dimers are linked via C-H⋯O and C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional structure. The eth-oxy-carbonyl group is disordered over two orientations, with an occupancy ratio of 0.717 (12):0.283 (12).

Abstract
The title 1,3,4-oxa-diazole-2-thione derivative, C18H20N4OS2, crystallized with two independent mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. The 2-thienyl rings in both mol-ecules are rotationally disordered over two orientations by approximately 180° about the single C-C bond that connects it to the oxa-diazole thione ring; the ratios of site occupancies for the major and minor components were fixed in the structure refinement at 0.8:0.2 and 0.9:0.1 in mol-ecules A and B, respectively. The 1,3,4-oxa-diazole-2-thione ring forms dihedral angles of 7.71 (16), 10.0 (11) and 77.50 (12)° (mol-ecule A), and 6.5 (3), 6.0 (9) and 55.30 (12)° (mol-ecule B) with the major and minor parts of the disordered thio-phene ring and the mean plane of the adjacent piperazine ring, respectively, resulting in approximately V-shaped conformations for the mol-ecules. The piperazine ring in both mol-ecules adopts a chair conformation. The terminal benzene ring is inclined towards the mean plane of the piperazine ring with N-C-C-C torsion angles of -58.2 (3) and -66.2 (3)° in mol-ecules A and B, respectively. In the crystal, no inter-molecular hydrogen bonds are observed. The crystal packing features short S⋯S contacts [3.4792 (9) Å] and π-π inter-actions [3.661 (3), 3.664 (11) and 3.5727 (10) Å], producing a three-dimensional network.

Abstract
The structure of the title hydrated mol-ecular salt, C14H23N2O4 (+)·C2H3O2 (-)·H2O, was determined as part of a wider study on the use of the mol-ecule as a polydentate ligand in the synthesis of Mn(III) clusters with magnetic properties. The cation features intra-molecular O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen-bond inter-actions. The crystal structure features a range of inter-molecular hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, principally O-H⋯O inter-actions between all three species in the asymmetric unit. An R (2) 4(8) graph-set hydrogen-bonding motif between the anion and water mol-ecules serves as a unit which links to the cation via the di-ethano-lamine group. Each O atom of the acetate anion accepts two hydrogen bonds.

In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via C-H⋯π and π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.5270 (19) and 3.779 (2) Å], forming a three-dimensional structure. A region of disordered electron density, probably disordered solvent mol-ecules, was treated with the SQUEEZE procedure in PLATON [Spek (2015 ▶). Acta Cryst. C71, 9-18], which indicated a solvent cavity of 322 Å(3) containing approximately 91 electrons. Their formula mass and unit-cell characteristics were not taken into account during the refinement.

Abstract
In the title compound, C11H12O2S2, two independent but virtually superimposable mol-ecules, A and B, comprise the asymmetric unit. In each mol-ecule, the 1,3-di-thiane ring has a chair conformation with the 1,4-disposed C atoms being above and below the plane through the remaining four atoms. The substituted benzene ring occupies an equatorial position in each case and forms dihedral angles of 85.62 (9) (mol-ecule A) and 85.69 (8)° (mol-ecule B) with the least-squares plane through the 1,3-di-thiane ring. The difference between the mol-ecules rests in the conformation of the five-membered 1,3-dioxole ring which is an envelope in mol-ecule A (the methyl-ene C atom is the flap) and almost planar in mol-ecule B (r.m.s. deviation = 0.046 Å). In the crystal, mol-ecules of A self-associate into supra-molecular zigzag chains (generated by glide symmetry along the c axis) via methyl-ene C-H⋯π inter-actions. Mol-ecules of B form similar chains. The chains pack with no specific directional inter-molecular inter-actions between them.

Abstract
The title compound, C17H12O, crystallized with three independent mol-ecules (A, B and C) in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal, the three independent mol-ecules are linked by π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.551 (3)-3.977 (2) Å], which lead to the formation of trimers. Between the trimers there are a number of C-H⋯π inter-actions generating a laminar arrangement parallel to (010). The meth-oxy-methyl group in mol-ecule A is disordered over two sets of sites, with an occupancy ratio of 0.56 (9):0.44 (9).

Abstract
Two isomeric pyridine-substituted norbornenedicarboximide derivatives, namelyN-(pyridin-2-yl)-exo-norbornene-5,6-dicarboximide, (I), andN-(pyridin-3-yl)-exo-norbornene-5,6-dicarboximide, (II), both C14H12N2O4, have been crystallized and their structures unequivocally determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The molecules consist of norbornene moieties fused to a dicarboximide ring substituted at the N atom by either pyridin-2-yl or pyridin-3-yl in ananticonfiguration with respect to the double bond, thus affordingexoisomers. In both compounds, the asymmetric unit consists of two independent molecules (Z′ = 2). In compound (I), the pyridine rings of the two independent molecules adopt different conformations,i.e. synandanti, with respect to the methylene bridge. The intermolecular contacts of (I) are dominated by C—H...O interactions. In contrast, in compound (II), the pyridine rings of both molecules have ananticonformation and the two independent molecules are linked by carbonyl–carbonyl interactions, as well as by C—H...O and C—H...N contacts.

Abstract
In the title compound, C12H15N3O2S, the 1,3-benzdioxole fragment is nearly planar [the maximum deviation being 0.0515 (14) Å], the N-N-C(=S)-N fragment is also nearly planar [the maximum deviation being 0.0480 (10) Å], and the dihedral angle between their mean planes is 23.49 (10)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by pairs of N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers. The dimers are stacked along the a axis with neighbouring columns having the same direction; however, the mol-ecules show different orientations leading to a centrosymmetric arrangement. In the crystal, the methyl-ene group of the ethyl substituent and the terminal methyl H atoms are disordered over two sets of sites and were refined using a split model with an occupancy ratio of 0.5:0.5.

Abstract
Two independent mol-ecules, A and B, comprise the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C20H21N3OSe. While the benzene ring directly bound to the central triazole ring is inclined to the same extent in both mol-ecules [dihedral angles = 40.41 (12) (mol-ecule A) and 44.14 (12)° (B)], greater differences are apparent in the dihedral angles between the Se-bound rings, i.e. 74.28 (12) (mol-ecule A) and 89.91 (11)° (B). Close intra-molecular Se⋯N inter-actions of 2.9311 (18) (mol-ecule A) and 2.9482 (18) Å (B) are noted. In the crystal, supra-molecular chains along the a axis are formed via O-H⋯N hydrogen bonding. These are connected into layers via C-H⋯O and C-H⋯N inter-actions; these stack along (01-1) without directional inter-molecular inter-actions between them.

Abstract
1-(2-Hy-droxy-eth-yl)-2-methyl-5-nitro-1H-imidazole (metronidazole, MET) is a medication that is used to treat infections by a variety of anaerobic organisms, but there are relatively few reports of the structures of metal compounds that exhibit coordination of metronidazole. We have demonstrated that MET reacts with AgBF4 to give [Ag(MET)2]BF4·CH3OH, in which the Ag(I) cation is coordinated by two MET ligands with a trans arrangement. The structure of [Ag(MET)2]BF4 exhibits some inter-esting differences from its nitrate counterpart, [Ag(MET)2]NO3 [Fun et al. (2008). Acta Cryst. E64, m668]. For instance, although the two MET ligands of both [Ag(MET)2]BF4 and [Ag(MET)2]NO3 are almost coplanar, the former compound has an anti-like geometry with a mol-ecular inversion center, but the latter has a syn-like arrangement. In the crystal, the BF4 (-) anion is linked by an O-H⋯F hydrogen bond to the methanol solvent molecule, which is, in turn, linked to the cation by an O-H⋯O hydrogen bond; the components of the structure are linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along [001]. One of the MET ligands and the BF4 (-) anion are disordered over two sets of sites with ratios of refined occupancies 0.501 (17):0.499 (17) and 0.539 (19):0.461 (19), respectively.

Abstract
The mixed-metal thio-phosphate, Nb1.18V0.82PS10 (niobium vanadium phospho-rus deca-sulfide), has been prepared though solid state reactions using an alkali-metal halide flux. The title compound is isostructural with two-dimensional Nb2PS10. [M 2S12] (M = Nb or V) dimers built up from two bicapped trigonal prisms and tetra-hedral [PS4] units share sulfur atoms to construct (1) ∞[M 2PS10] chains along the a axis. These chains are linked through the di-sulfide bonds between [PS4] units in adjacent chains to form layers parallel to the ab plane. These layers then stack on top of each other to complete the three-dimensional structure with van der Waals gaps. The M sites are occupied by 59% of Nb and 41% of V and the average M-S and M-M distances in the title compound are in between those of V2PS10 and Nb2PS10. The classical charge balance of the title compound can be represented by [(Nb/V)(4+)]2[P(5+)][S(2-)]3[S(-)]7.

Abstract
The crystal structure of the title bifunctional silicon-bridged compound, C35H31NSi, (I), has been determined. The compound crystallizes in the centrosymmetric space groupP21/c. In the crystal structure, the pairs of aryl rings in the two different chromophores,i.e.9-phenyl-9H-carbazole and 9,9-dimethyl-9H-fluorene, are positioned orthogonally. In the crystal packing, no classical hydrogen bonding is observed. UV–Vis absorption and fluorescence emission spectra show that the central Si atom successfully breaks the electronic conjugation between the two different chromophores, and this was further analysed by density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu(NCS)(C3H8N2S)(C27H26P2)], contains two independent mononuclear complex mol-ecules. In each, the Cu(I) ion exhibits a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by coordination with two P atoms from one 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (dppm) ligand, one terminal S atom of one N,N'-di-methyl-thio-urea (dmtu) ligand and one terminal N atom of the thio-cyanato ligand. The dppp ligand is involved in a bidentate coordination mode with the Cu(I) ion, forming a six-membered CuP2C3 ring. In both mol-ecules, the coordination of the dmtu ligand is further stabilized by an intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond with an S(6) graph-set motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds forming a zigzag chain along the a-axis direction. In one independent mol-ecule, one of the phenyl rings of the dppp ligand is disordered over two sites with refined occupancies 0.639 (11):0.361 (11) and this corresponds with a mutual disorder of the dmtu ligand in the other independent mol-ecule giving the same ratio of refined occupancies. The structure was refined as a two-component inversion twin.

Abstract
In the title compound, C21H17N3OSe, the dihedral angles between the central five-membered ring and the C- and N-bound rings are 17.89 (10) and 42.35 (10)°, respectively, indicating the mol-ecule is twisted. The dihedral angle between the Se-bound rings is 85.36 (10)°. A close intra-molecular Se⋯O contact of 2.8507 (13) Å is noted. In the crystal, C-H⋯O, C-H⋯N and C-H⋯π inter-actions lead to the formation of supra-molecular layers parallel to (011); these stack with no specific inter-molecular inter-actions between them.

Abstract
The title compound, C21H26Cl2N2O2, was prepared in a solvent-free microwave-assisted synthesis, and crystallizes in the ortho-rhom-bic space group Pna21. The imidazolidine ring adopts an envelope conformation and its mean plane is almost perpendicular to the two pendant aromatic rings [dihedral angles = 84.61 (9) and 86.54 (9)°]. The mol-ecular structure shows the presence of two intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between the phenolic hy-droxy groups and imidazolidine N atoms. The two 3-chloro-6-hy-droxy-2,4-di-methyl-benzyl groups are located in a cis orientation with respect to the imidazolidine fragment. As a result, the lone pairs of electrons on the N atoms are presumed to be disposed in a syn conformation. This is therefore the first example of an exception to the 'rabbit-ears' effect in such 2,2'-[imidazolidine-1,3-diylbis(methyl-ene)]diphenol derivatives.
