Abstract
A mild and effective visible-light-induced decarboxylative radical cascade reaction of olefin-containing imidazoles with α-fluorinated carboxylic acids as building blocks containing CF or ArCF2 moieties, has been developed to afford a series of monofluoromethylated or aryldifluoromethylated polycyclic imidazoles in medium to excellent yields with features of simple operation, available raw materials, and wide substrate scopes. In addition, the mechanistic experiments indicated that the methodology involved a radical pathway.

Abstract
Regioselective C-H difluoroalkylation of diverse 2-pyridones with ethyl bromodifluoroacetates and bromodifluoroacetamides is accomplished by using a (dppf)NiCl2 catalyst under mild conditions. This efficient protocol could deliver a variety of C-3 difluoroalkylated pyridones with the tolerance of a range of highly susceptible functionalities, such as -Cl, -Br, -I, -COMe, -CN, -NMe2 and -NO2, including heteroarenes like pyridinyl, furanyl, thiophenyl and carbazolyl moieties. A preliminary mechanistic study suggests the radical pathway for the reaction involving fluoroalkyl radical intermediate.

Abstract
The visible light-induced decarboxylative cascade reaction of fluoroalkyl carboxylic acids has been achieved for the efficient synthesis of fluorinated compounds. However, most of the transformations rely on noble iridium metal complex. Herein, a visible light-induced metal-free decarboxylative cascade reaction of fluoroalkyl carboxylic acids has been realized. This protocol features simple operation, transition metal free, and good functional group tolerance.

Abstract
A new strategy of electrochemical oxidative difluoroethylation to generate difluoroethyl radical with sodium difluoroethylsulfinate (DFES-Na) has been reported for the first time. The method allows quick access to a variety of valuable difluoroethylated azaheterocycles including oxindoles and isoquinoline-1,3-diones via radical tandem difluoroethylation/cyclization in moderate to good yields. The electrochemical cyclopropyldifluoromethylation of N-arylacrylamides also works well using this strategy. Moreover, radical capture and cyclic voltammetry (CV) experiments are also carried out to determine the proposed mechanism.

Abstract
Leveraging α-fluoroalkyl or fluorobenzyl radicals to introduce fluorinated motifs allows for the rapid preparation of fluorine-containing building blocks. Herein, we report the generation of α-fluoroalkyl or fluorobenzyl radicals from readily available α-fluorocarboxylic acids under mild reaction conditions and their utilization in the Giese-type addition on Michael acceptors and dehydroamino acids, resulting in the preparation of mono- and difluorinated Michael addition adducts and unnatural fluorinated amino acids.

Abstract
We herein report the first visible-light-induced hydromono- and difluoroalkylations of alkenes with inexpensive and easily accessible α-fluoro carboxylic acids. This metal-free protocol exhibits mild conditions, high efficiency, and excellent functional-group tolerance, providing a straightforward approach to mono- and difluoroalkylated alkanes. Moreover, the fluorine effect on the hydrofluoroalkylation reaction is discussed in detail.
