Abstract
Raman spectroscopy is reliable tool for analyzing and exploring early disease diagnosis related to body fluids, such as blood serum, which contain low molecular weight fraction (LMWF) and high molecular weight fraction (HMWF) proteins. The disease biomarkers consist of LMWF which are dominated by HMWF hence their analysis is difficult. In this study, in order to overcome this issue, centrifugal filter devices of 30 kDa were used to obtain filtrate and residue portions obtained from whole blood serum samples of control and breast cancer diagnosed patients. The filtrate portions obtained in this way are expected to contain the marker proteins of breast cancer of the size below this filter size. These may include prolactin, Microphage migration inhabitation factor (MIF), γ-Synuclein, BCSG1, Leptin, MUC1, RS/DJ-1 present in the centrifuged blood serum (filtrate portions) which are then analyzed by the SERS technique to recognize the SERS spectral characteristics associated with the progression of breast cancer in the samples of different stages as compared to the healthy ones. The key intention of this study is to achieve early-stage breast cancer diagnosis through the utilization of Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) after the centrifugation of healthy and breast cancer serum samples with Amicon ultra-filter devices of 30 kDa. The silver nanoparticles with high plasmon resonance are used as a substrate for SERS analysis. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Partial Least Discriminant Analysis (PLS-DA) models are utilized as spectral classification tools to assess and predict rapid, reliable, and non-destructive SERS-based analysis. Notably, they were particularly effective in distinguishing between different SERS spectral groups of the cancerous and non-cancerous samples. By comparing all these spectral data sets to each other PLSDA shows the 79 % accuracy, 76 % specificity, and 81 % sensitivity in samples with AUC value of AUC = 0.774 SERS has proven to be a valuable technique for the rapid identification of the SERS spectral features of blood serum and its filtrate fractions from both healthy individuals and those with breast cancer, aiding in disease diagnosis.

Abstract
Artificial nanorobots have emerged as promising tools for a wide range of biomedical applications, including biosensing, detoxification, and drug delivery. Their unique ability to navigate confined spaces with precise control extends their operational scope to the cellular or subcellular level. By combining tailored surface functionality and propulsion mechanisms, nanorobots demonstrate rapid penetration of cell membranes and efficient internalization, enhancing intracellular delivery capabilities. Moreover, their robust motion within cells enables targeted interactions with intracellular components, such as proteins, molecules, and organelles, leading to superior performance in intracellular biosensing and organelle-targeted cargo delivery. Consequently, nanorobots hold significant potential as miniaturized surgeons capable of directly modulating cellular dynamics and combating metastasis, thereby maximizing therapeutic outcomes for precision therapy. In this review, we provide an overview of the propulsion modes of nanorobots and discuss essential factors to harness propulsive energy from the local environment or external power sources, including structure, material, and engine selection. We then discuss key advancements in nanorobot technology for various intracellular applications. Finally, we address important considerations for future nanorobot design to facilitate their translation into clinical practice and unlock their full potential in biomedical research and healthcare.

Abstract
The field of micro-/nanorobotics has attracted extensive interest from a variety of research communities and witnessed enormous progress in a broad array of applications ranging from basic research to global healthcare and to environmental remediation and protection. In particular, micro-/nanoscale robots provide an enabling platform for the development of next-generation chemical and biological sensing modalities, owing to their unique advantages as programmable, self-sustainable, and/or autonomous mobile carriers to accommodate and promote physical and chemical processes. In this review, we intend to provide an overview of the state-of-the-art development in this area and share our perspective in the future trend. This review starts with a general introduction of micro-/nanorobotics and the commonly used methods for propulsion of micro-/nanorobots in solution, along with the commonly used methods in their fabrication. Next, we comprehensively summarize the current status of the micro/nanorobotic research in relevance to chemical and biological sensing (e.g., motion-based sensing, optical sensing, and electrochemical sensing). Following that, we provide an overview of the primary challenges currently faced in the micro-/nanorobotic research. Finally, we conclude this review by providing our perspective detailing the future application of soft robotics in chemical and biological sensing.

Abstract
Catalytic micromotors can be used to detect molecules of interest in several ways. The straightforward approach is to use such motors as sensors of their "fuel" (i.e., of the species consumed for self-propulsion). Another way is in the detection of species which are not fuel but still modulate the catalytic processes facilitating self-propulsion. Both of these require analysis of the motion of the micromotors because the speed (or the diffusion coefficient) of the micromotors is the analytical signal. Alternatively, catalytic micromotors can be used as the means to enhance mass transport, and thus increase the probability of specific recognition events in the sample. This latter approach is based on "classic" (e.g., electrochemical) analytical signals and does not require an analysis of the motion of the micromotors. Together with a discussion of the current limitations faced by sensing concepts based on the speed (or diffusion coefficient) of catalytic micromotors, we review the findings of the studies devoted to the analytical performances of catalytic micromotor sensors. We conclude that the qualitative (rather than quantitative) analysis of small samples, in resource poor environments, is the most promising niche for the catalytic micromotors in analytical chemistry.

Abstract
Integration, being lightweight, and intelligence are important orientations for the future advancement of soft robots. However, existing soft robots are generally hydrogels or silicone rubber, which are inherently mechanically inferior and easily damaged and difficult to integrate functions. Here, inspired by nacre, an elastomer actuator with sulfonated graphene-based gradient nanostructures is constructed via supramolecular multiscale assembly. The resulting nanocomposite possesses an ultrahigh toughness of 141.19 MJ/m3 and high room-temperature self-healing efficiency (89%). The proof-of-concept robot is demonstrated to emphasize its maximum swimming speed of 2.67 body length per second, whose speed is comparable to that of plankton, representing the outperformance of most artificial soft robots. Furthermore, the robot can stably absorb pollutants and recover its robustness and functionality even when damaged. This study breaks the mutual exclusivity of functional execution and fast locomotions, and we anticipate that our nanostructural design will offer an effective extended path to other integrated robots that required multifunction integration.

Abstract
Helical micro/nanomotors (MNMs) can be propelled by external fields to swim through highly viscous fluids like complex biological environments, which promises miniaturized robotic tools to perform assigned tasks at small scales. However, the catalytic propulsion method, most widely adopted to drive MNMs, is seldom studied to actuate helical MNMs. Herein, we report catalytic helical carbon MNMs (CHCM) by sputtering Pt onto helical carbon nano-coils (HCNC) that are in bulk prepared by a thermal chemical vapor deposition method. The Pt-triggered H2 O2 decomposition can drive the MNMs by an electrokinetic mechanism. The MNMs demonstrate versatile motion behaviors including both directional propulsion and rotation depending on the turn number of the carbon helix. Besides, due to the ease of surface functionalization on carbon and other properties such as biocompatibility and photothermal effect, the helical carbon MNMs promise multifunctional applications for biomedical or environmental applications.
