Abstract
Both migrants and young people experience disproportionately high rates of HIV acquisition and poor access to HIV prevention and treatment services. To develop effective interventions and reach epidemic control, it is necessary to understand the barriers and facilitators to accessing HIV services among migrant youth. We conducted a scoping review to identify these factors for migrant youth ages 15-24, globally. We conducted a PRISMA-concordant scoping review using keyword searches in PUBMED and Web of Science for peer-reviewed primary literature published between January 2012 and October 2022. We included studies that investigated barriers and facilitators to accessing services for migrant youth participants. We used the Socio-Ecological Model as an analytical framework. The 20 studies meeting the inclusion criteria spanned 10 countries, of which 80% (n = 16) were low- and middle-income countries. Study methods included were quantitative (40%), qualitative (55%), and mixed methods (5%). Six studies included refugee youth (30%), 6 included migrant worker youth (30%), 3 included immigrant youth (15%), 2 included rural migrant youth (10%), and 1 included immigrants and refugees. The remainder represented unspecified migrant youth populations (10%). At the individual level, education level and fear of infection acted as barriers and facilitators to HIV services. At the relationship level, social support and power in relationships acted as barriers and facilitators to HIV services. At the community level, barriers to HIV services included discrimination and stigma, while community and religious outreach efforts facilitated access to HIV services. At the structural level, barriers to HIV services included stigmatizing social norms, lack of health insurance, and legal barriers. Migrant youth face significant, unique barriers to accessing HIV services. However, facilitators exist that can be leveraged to enable access. Future implementation science research, enabling policies, and adapted programmatic interventions should prioritize migrant youth as a distinctive sub-population to receive targeted HIV services.

Abstract
The present article proposes an extension of the concept of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) to apply to crisis migration - where youth and families are fleeing armed conflicts, natural disasters, community violence, government repression, and other large-scale emergencies. We propose that adverse events occurring prior to, during, and following migration can be classified as crisis-migration-related ACEs, and that the developmental logic underlying ACEs can be extended to the new class of crisis-migration-related ACEs. Specifically, greater numbers, severity, and chronicity of crisis-migration-related ACEs would be expected to predict greater impairments in mental and physical health, poorer interpersonal relationships, and less job stability later on. We propose a research agenda centered around definitional clarity, rigorous measurement development, prospective longitudinal studies to establish predictive validity, and collaborations among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.

Abstract
Given that adolescents from migrant families live within at least two cultural contexts (i.e., the heritage and the destination cultures), they generally must negotiate and construct ethnic and national identities. Accordingly, the present three-wave longitudinal study was designed to identify distinct developmental trajectories of ethnic and national identities among adolescents from migrant families ( n = 244, 56.6% female; Mage = 14.90, SDage = 0.84 at Time 1). Multivariate latent class growth analyses indicated that participants could be classified into one of four groups based on their identity profiles: ethnic-oriented identity, national-oriented identity, dual identity, and marginalized identity. Further, social identification with family and classmates was examined as a predictor of memberships in these distinct identity profiles. Results of multinomial logistic regression analysis indicated that greater social identification with family increased the probability of being classified into the ethnic-oriented and dual identity profiles rather than into the marginalized identity profile, whereas greater social identification with classmates increased the likelihood of being classified into either national-oriented or dual identity profiles rather than into the marginalized identity profile. These findings provide novel insights into the roles of families and peers as influential socializing agents during the negotiation of ethnic and national identities among immigrant youth.
