Abstract
A nucleopalladation-triggered cascade transformation of internal alkynes bearing an amino nucleophile and an electrophilic enone was investigated under unconventional microwave-assisted conditions. Among the three possible pathways, the chloropalladation-triggered domino process proceeded selectively to furnish 3-chloro-1H-indenes in good to excellent yields. The reactions under microwave irradiation were completed in 30 min, and the conventional heating required 3-5 h for completion. The yields obtained under nonclassical heating using microwave irradiation are marginally higher (71-97%) than those of the conventional heating conditions (67-96%). The mechanism of this domino process involves chloropalladation of alkynes to deliver σ-vinylpalladium intermediates, intramolecular carbopalladation via Heck-type olefin insertion, and protodepalladation steps. The other two competitive intramolecular aminopalladation-initiated cascades via 7-endo-dig or 6-exo-dig cyclizations leading to oxazepine or benzoxazine scaffolds were not observed.

Abstract
Acid catalysed reductive etherification of N-propargyl amino alcohols for the stereoselective synthesis of cis-2,5/2,6-disubstituted morpholines and cis-2,6/2,7-disubstituted oxazepanes has been developed. Mechanistic studies revealed that terminal alkynols gave morpholines via a 6-exo-dig hydroalkoxylation-isomerization-reduction cascade. Interestingly, an alkyne hydration-cyclization-reduction sequence is found to be involved in the formation of oxazepanes from alkyl substituted internal alkynols. The strategy was used as a key step in the total synthesis of fungicides tridemorph and fenpropimorph.

Abstract
Strategies to access the 1,4-diazepindiones heterocyclic core of the TAN-1057 family of natural products revealed a successful gold-catalyzed hydroamination of yneamide tethered amines. The precursor amino-yneamides are derived from easily accessible 1,2-diamines and alkynoic acids and are efficiently cyclized to the corresponding diazepineones.

Abstract
Oxygen-bearing motifs, mainly the congener heterocycles are ubiquitous due to their presence in various natural products and bioactive scaffolds. Although in literature, several strategies have been developed for their synthesis, hydroalkoxylation of alkynes has come forward as a method of choice and has been used extensively. In particular, hydroalkoxylation of alkynes has gained enormous attention from the synthetic community due to the rapid access to a very useful and reactive synthetic intermediate like 'enol ether'. Furthermore, to manifold the utility of these methods, reports have been developed elaborating the generation of 'enol ether' using hydroalkoxylation and their usage in various reactions in cascade or tandem manner. This review focuses on recent development on the hydroalkoxylation of alkynes for the synthesis of oxygen-containing entities.

Abstract
Since the dawn of millennium, catalytic gold chemistry is at the forefront to set off diverse organic reactions via unique activation of π-bonded molecules. Within this purview, cycloisomerization of heteroatom nucleophiles linked to a π-system is one of the well recognized chemistry for the construction of numerous heterocyclic cores. Though the rudimentary aspects of this transformation are reviewed by several groups in different timeline, a holistic view on regiochemistry of such reactions went largely overlooked. Hence, this account emphasizes the gold catalyzed regioselective cycloisomerization of structurally distinctive π-connected hetero-nucleophiles leading to different heterocycles documented in the last two decades. From an application perspective, this account also highlights those methodologies which find a role in the total synthesis of natural products. Wherever appropriate, mechanistic details and contributing factors for selectivity are also discussed.

Abstract
We herein report a chemo- and regioselective 6-exo-dig catalytic cyclization of Ugi adducts N-substituted 2-alkynamides to access functionalized morpholinone glycoconjugates in the presence of triphenylphosphine. This array allows an interesting multicomponent access to a library of functionalized morpholinone glycoconjugates under mild reaction conditions with regeneration of catalyst triphenylphosphine, supported by 31P nuclear magnetic resonance studies. Density functional theory shows the 6-exo-dig oxocyclization pathway is preferred, which supports our experimental observation.

Abstract
The first examples of highly diastereoselective tandem 8/9-endo-dig and 8-exo-dig hydroalkoxylation-formal-[4 + 2] cycloaddition are described for the synthesis of medium ring heterocycle-fused chromenes. TMS-alkynols preferred the exo-dig mode of hydroalkoxylation over the endo-dig mode leading to spiro-cyclic chromenes. The method could be used for the synthesis of linearly-fused ladder-like polyethers. A thia-heterocycle-fused chromene could be transformed into a complex bridged tricyclic ketal by a tandem carbene-insertion-[2,3]-sigmatropic shift.

Abstract
Post multicomponent reaction (MCR) transformations are one of the most successful methods leading to high structural diversity and molecular complexity. A well-known MCR, the Ugi reaction typically affords a linear peptide backbone, enabling post-Ugi transformations as an elegant solution to rigidify the Ugi adduct into more drug-like species. Not surprisingly, the development of such transformations leading to new structural frameworks has expanded rapidly over the last few years. These reactions have reached an impressive level of performance and versatility, particularly in amalgamation with gold catalysis. This review outlines the developments achieved in the past decade, highlighting the modifications that are performed in a sequential or domino fashion with emphasis on major concepts, synthetic applications of the derived products as well as mechanistic aspects.
