Abstract
Tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) terpolymers have emerged as advantageous substitutes for polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Therefore, they are being considered as alternatives to PTFE in many application areas. The advantages of TFE terpolymers include their facile processability at elevated temperatures, their solubility in some polar organic solvents, their inertness against aqueous acids, aqueous bases and a large number of mostly nonpolar organic solvents, their low dielectric constant, their low refractive index as well as useful electro- and thermochemical properties. This review on TFE terpolymers focuses on their processing including shaping and surface modification as well as on selected properties including wettability, dielectric properties, mechanical response behavior, chemical stability, and degradability. Applications including their use as elastomeric sealing material, liner and cladding layer as well as their use as material for membranes, microfluidic devices, photonics, photovoltaics, energy storage, energy harvesting, sensors, and nanothermitic composites will be discussed. The review concludes with a discussion of the future potential of TFE terpolymers and scientific challenges to be addressed by future research on TFE terpolymers.

Abstract
Massive production of SiO2 nanofibers with both high durability and exceptional performance remains a significant challenge. Herein, a novel approach was introduced to achieve the massive production of SiO2 nanofibers with lotus-leaf-inspired surfaces by combining solution blowing spinning (SBS) and the polymer-derived ceramics method. Based on the SBS technique, three types of precursor nanofiber products were fast spined with methyl silsesquioxane polymer and polymethyl hydrogen siloxane employed as Si sources. The flow rate of the SBS spined Si-based ceramic nanofibers was enhanced to 20 mL·h-1. Furthermore, through the integration of hydrophobic-oleophilic SiO2 nanoparticles into the precursor solution, SiO2 nanofibers with lotus-leaf nanoprotrusion surfaces were fabricated. Nanoparticle-decorated SiO2 fibers demonstrated excellent hydrophobicity (138.3°), compression resilience (∼60%), proficiency in organic pollutant adsorption, high-temperature resistance (∼1100 °C), and outstanding thermal insulation properties (thermal conductivity of 0.0165 W·(m·K)-1).

Abstract
Multifunctional wearable heaters have attracted much attention for their effective applications in personal thermal management and medical therapy. Compared to passive heating, Joule heating offers significant advantages in terms of reusability, reliable temperature control, and versatile coupling. Joule-heated fabrics make wearable electronics smarter. This review critically discusses recent advances in Joule-heated smart fabrics, focusing on various fabrication strategies based on material-structure synergy. Specifically, various applicable conductive materials with Joule heating effect are first summarized. Subsequently, different preparation methods for Joule heating fabrics are compared, and then their various applications in smart clothing, healthcare, and visual indication are discussed. Finally, the challenges faced in developing these smart Joule heating fabrics and their possible solutions are discussed.

Abstract
A variety of public health events seriously threaten human life and health, especially the outbreak of COVID-19 at the end of 2019 has caused a serious impact on human production and life. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is one of the most effective ways to prevent infection and stop the spread of the virus. Medical protective fiber materials have become the first choice for PPE because of their excellent barrier properties and breathability. In this article, we systematically review the latest progress in preparation technologies, properties, and applications of medical protective fiber materials. We first summarize the technological characteristics of different fiber preparation methods and compare their advantages and disadvantages. Then the barrier properties, comfort, and mechanical properties of the medical protective fiber materials used in PPE are discussed. After that, the applications of medical protective fibers in PPE are introduced, and protective clothing and masks are discussed in detail. Finally, the current status, future development trend, and existing challenges of medical protective fiber materials are summarized.

Abstract
Besides the conventional fiber production methods, microfluidics has emerged as a promising approach for the engineered spinning of fibrous materials and offers excellent potential for fiber manufacturing in a controlled and straightforward manner. This method facilitates low-speed prototype synthesis of fibers for diverse applications while providing superior control over reaction conditions, efficient use of precursor solutions, reagent mixing, and process parameters. This article reviews recent advances in microfluidic technology for the fabrication of fibrous materials with different morphologies and a variety of properties aimed at various applications. First, the basic principles, as well as the latest developments and achievements of microfluidic-based techniques for fiber production, are introduced. Specifically, microfluidic platforms made of glass, polymers, and/or metals, including but not limited to microfluidic chips, capillary-based devices, and three-dimensional printed devices are summarized. Then, fiber production from various materials, such as alginate, gelatin, silk, collagen, and chitosan, using different microfluidic platforms with a broad range of cross-linking agents and mechanisms is described. Therefore, microfluidic spun fibers with diverse diameters ranging from submicrometer scales to hundreds of micrometers and structures, such as cylindrical, hollow, grooved, flat, core-shell, heterogeneous, helical, and peapod-like morphologies, with tunable sizes and mechanical properties are discussed in detail. Subsequently, the practical applications of microfluidic spun fibers are highlighted in sensors for biomedical or optical purposes, scaffolds for culture or encapsulation of cells in tissue engineering, and drug delivery. Finally, different limitations and challenges of the current microfluidic technologies, as well as the future perspectives and concluding remarks, are presented.

Abstract
Given that many people suffer from large-area skin damage, skin regeneration is a matter of high concern. Here, an available method is developed for the formation of large-area robust skins through three stages: fabrication of a biodegradable sealant-loaded nanofiber scaffold (SNS), skin tissue reconstruction, and skin regeneration. First, a microfluidic blow-spinning strategy is proposed to fabricate a large-scale nanofiber scaffold with an area of 140 cm × 40 cm, composed of fibrinogen-loaded polycaprolactone/silk fibroin (PCL/SF) ultrafine core-shell nanofibers with mean diameter of 65 nm. Then, the SNS forms, where the gelling reaction of fibrin sealant occurs in situ between thrombin and fibrinogen on PCL/SF nanofiber surface, to promote the migration and proliferation of fibroblasts, accelerating skin regeneration. Through an in vivo study, it is shown that the SNS can rapidly repair acute tissue damage such as vascular bleeding and hepatic hemorrhage, and also promote angiogenesis, large-area abdominal wall defect repair, and wound tissue regeneration for medical problems in the world. Besides, it avoids the risk of immune rejection and secondary surgery in clinical applications. This strategy offers a facile route to regenerate large-scale robust skin, which shows great potential in abdominal wall defect repair.

Abstract
Blowspinning is a new technique that enables the large-scale production of fibers with diameters ranging from micrometer to nanometer, which is more like a combination of melt-blown and electrospinning but has its own characteristics. This method can be used to deposit fibers in situ and produce various fibrous materials, such as coating, nonwoven, and sponge. These characteristics provide a new strategy for nanofiber application and attract the interest of many researchers. Regarding the blowspinning technique, systematic research had been carried out, involving basic principles, empirical studies, spinning equipment, and application. This review is intended to emphasize trends and gaps in the form of a concise illustration of various research directions.
