Abstract
The rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoTs) and proliferation of wearable electronics have significantly stimulated the pursuit of distributed power supply systems that are small and light. Accordingly, micro-supercapacitors (MSCs) have recently attracted tremendous research interest due to their high power density, good energy density, long cycling life, and rapid charge/discharge rate delivered in a limited volume and area. As an emerging class of electrochemical energy storage devices, MSCs using polyaniline (PANI) electrodes are envisaged to bridge the gap between carbonaceous MSCs and micro-batteries, leading to a high power density together with improved energy density. However, despite the intensive development of PANI-based MSCs in the past few decades, a comprehensive review focusing on the chemical properties and synthesis of PANI, working mechanisms, design principles, and electrochemical performances of MSCs is lacking. Thus, herein, we summarize the recent advances in PANI-based MSCs using a wide range of electrode materials. Firstly, the fundamentals of MSCs are outlined including their working principle, device design, fabrication technology, and performance metrics. Then, the working principle and synthesis methods of PANI are discussed. Afterward, MSCs based on various PANI materials including pure PANI, PANI hydrogel, and PANI composites are discussed in detail. Lastly, concluding remarks and perspectives on their future development are presented. This review can present new ideas and give rise to new opportunities for the design of high-performance miniaturized PANI-based MSCs that underpin the sustainable prosperity of the approaching IoTs era.

Abstract
This work presents a highly sensitive, economical, flexible, and disposable humidity sensor developed with a facile fabrication process. The sensor was fabricated on cellulose paper using polyemaraldine salt, a form of polyaniline (PAni), via the drop coating method. A three-electrode configuration was employed to ensure high accuracy and precision. The PAni film was characterized using various techniques including ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) absorption spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The humidity sensing properties were evaluated through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in a controlled environment. The sensor exhibits a linear response with R 2 = 0.990 for impedance over a wide range of (0%-97%) relative humidity (RH). Further, it displayed consistent responsiveness, a sensitivity of 1.1701 Ω/%RH, acceptable response (≤220 s)/recovery (≤150 s), excellent repeatability, low hysteresis (≤2.1%) and long-term stability at room temperature. The temperature dependence of the sensing material was also studied. Due to its unique features, cellulose paper was found to be an effective alternative to conventional sensor substrates according to several factors including compatibility with the PAni layer, flexibility and low cost. These unique characteristics make this sensor a promising option for use in specific healthcare monitoring, research activities, and industrial settings as a flexible and disposable humidity measurement tool.

Abstract
The synthesis of new fluorescent polymers based on π-conjugated chains is a major challenge for organic electronic. The materials must be soluble, stable over long periods and able to be produced with a high yield. In particular, poly (vinylcarbazole), poly (fluorenes), and poly (thiophene) partially meet these criteria. In this study, new soluble copolymers PVK-F8T2 was synthesized from poly(9-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) and poly[(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl)-co-(bithiophène)] (F8T2). As these materials are highly luminescent and green-emitting, they have good chemical and thermal stability and can be easily functionalized. Here, the vibrational and optical properties of PVK-F8T2 was studied using several different techniques, including Infrared absorption, Raman scattering, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), UV-visible optical absorption, and both stationary and transient photoluminescence. The novel copolymer shows an increase of thermal stability compared to the two original polymers (PVK and F8T2). The stationary and transient photoluminescence reveal an energy transfer from PVK to F8T2. This study indicates that these copolymers are good candidates for photophysical applications.

Abstract
Polyaniline/zinc oxide (PANI/ZnO) composite photocatalysts were prepared from neutral media by in situ chemical oxidation of aniline (ANI) in the presence of different amounts of diethylene glycol (DEG). The PANI/ZnO composite photocatalysts were synthesized to efficiently remove organic dye (acid blue, AB25) from model wastewater. The PANI/ZnO composite photocatalysts were studied with the intention of efficient removal of organic dye (acid blue, AB25) from wastewater to obtain low-cost heterogeneous catalysts that offer high catalytic activity and stability. The conductive PANI polymer, which absorbs Vis irradiation, was used in this work as ZnO absorbs only ultraviolet (UV) irradiation; thus, the composite photocatalysts' activity was broadened into the Vis region. Characterization of the composite photocatalysts was done by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, electric conductivity, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and by specific surface area (SBET) measurements. The composites' photocatalytic activity under solar irradiation was validated by monitoring degradation of the AB25 dye. This study presented that it was possible both to prepare PANI and to prevent ZnO dissolution if in situ polymerization starts from neutral media with the addition of DEG. Additionally, efficient removal of AB25 dye, about 90% in 60 min, was achieved. The first-order rate constants of the photodegradation of AB25 by PANI/ZnO 0.02/0.024/0.04 DEG (and pure ZnO)) were computed to be 0.0272/0.0281/0.0325 (and 0.0062) min-1, indicating that the morphology and surface of the photocatalysts have significantly influenced the catalytic activity.
