Abstract
The one-pot synthesis of diphenylacetylene by the reaction of methyl benzoate with 1-(benzylsulfonyl)-3,5-di(trifluoromethyl)benzene was developed. The combination of LiN(SiMe3)2 and KN(SiMe3)2 is key to promoting the reaction. Simply combining methyl benzoate, 1-(benzylsulfonyl)-3,5-di(trifluoromethyl)benzene, LiN(SiMe3)2, and KN(SiMe3)2 can produce a variety of diaryl acetylenes (28 examples, 18-70% yields).

Abstract
Cysteine plays a crucial role in the development of an efficient copper-catalyst system, where its thiol group serves as a strong anchoring site for metal coordination. By immobilizing copper onto cysteine-modified, polydopamine-coated magnetite particles, this advanced catalytic platform exhibits exceptional stability and catalytic activity. Chemical modification of the polydopamine (PDA) surface with cysteine enhances copper salt immobilization, leading to the formation of the Fe3O4@PDA-Cys@Cu platform. This system was evaluated in palladium-free, copper-catalyzed Sonogashira coupling reactions, effectively catalyzing the coupling of terminal acetylenes with aryl halides. Additionally, the Fe3O4@PDA-Cys@Cu platform was employed in click reactions, confirming the enhanced catalytic efficiency due to increased copper content. The reusability of the platform was further investigated, demonstrating improved performance, especially in recyclability tests in click reaction, making it a promising candidate for sustainable heterogeneous catalysis.

Abstract
NHC-mediated deoxygenation of alcohols under photocatalytic conditions is described. The process provides various alkyl radicals, which can react with 1-bromoalkyne via Csp3-Csp coupling to afford internal alkynes in moderate to good yields. The method offers a new and convenient approach to synthesize internal alkynes.

Abstract
Alkynes are attractive synthons for organic chemistry. Despite the prevalence of transition-metal-catalyzed Sonogashira reactions, a transition-metal-free version of the arylation of terminal alkynes is elusive. Herein, we report an efficient transition-metal-free Sonogashira-type coupling reaction for the one-pot arylation of alkynes to construct C(sp)-C(sp2) bonds from a tetracoordinate boron intermediate with NIS as a mediator. With its high efficiency, wide substrate range, and good functional group tolerance, this method is further supported by the gram-scale synthesis and subsequent modification of complex molecules.

Abstract
A convenient Pd- and phosphine-free protocol for assembling internal alkynes from tertiary propargyl alcohols and (het)aryl halides has been developed. The proposed tandem approach includes the base-promoted retro-Favorskii fragmentation followed by Cu-catalyzed C(sp)-C(sp2) cross-coupling. The use of inexpensive reagents (e.g. a catalyst, additives, a base, and a solvent) and good functional group tolerance make the procedure practical and cost-effective. The synthetic utility of the method was demonstrated by a smooth alkynylation of vinyl iodides derived from natural steroidal hormones.

Abstract
Iron- and cobalt-catalyzed Sonogashira coupling reactions are becoming central areas of research in organic synthesis. Owing to their significant importance in the formation of carbon-carbon bonds, numerous green and nanoparticle protocols have emerged during the past decades. The non-toxic and inexpensive nature of catalysts gained much attention in recent times. In this context, their catalytic nature and activity in Sonogashira coupling reactions were well explored and compared. Most importantly, one of the highlights of this review is the emphasis given to green strategies. This is the first review on iron- and cobalt-catalyzed Sonogashira coupling reactions which comprehends literature up to 2020.

Abstract
Cobalt nanoparticles immobilized on magnetic chitosan (Fe3O4@CS-Co) have been prepared. They were identified using various techniques such as Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, vibrating sample magnetometry, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy analysis and applied efficiently as a cobalt catalyst in the cyanation and fluoride-/palladium-free Hiyama reactions of different types of aryl halides employing K4[Fe(CN)6]·3H2O and triethoxyphenylsilane, respectively. After each reaction, the catalyst was isolated and reused for the second run. The catalytic activity of the catalyst was not lost apparently even after five runs. No considerable changes in its chemical structure and morphology were observed. It is worth to note that in this paper, the cobalt catalyst has been used for the first time for the cyanation of aryl halides.

Abstract
:
Transition metal catalyzed cross-coupling reactions have always been very important
in synthetic organic chemistry due to their versatility in forming all sorts of carbon-carbon
and carbon-hetero atom bonds. Incorporation of ultrasound assistance to these protocols resulted
in milder reaction conditions, faster reaction rates, etc. This review focuses on the contributions
made by ultrasound-assisted protocols towards transition metal catalyzed crosscoupling
