Abstract
Management of large right heart thrombi and vegetations is challenging. Medical management may be insufficient to prevent embolization or treat infection. Surgery carries a high mortality and is often not an option for these patients with multiple comorbidities. We present a case series of four patients describing percutaneous aspiration thrombectomy with AngioVac device as a safe and effective treatment for high-risk patients with right heart thrombi or tricuspid valvular vegetations.
