Abstract
Due to the complex anatomy of the pelvis, various tumors may arise in this region. Some of these tumors are well known and have distinctive features that allow them to be identified by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These include sacrococcygeal teratoma (SCT), the most prevalent congenital tumor in children, often diagnosed prenatally and most frequently occurring in this anatomical location, and ovarian teratoma, which in its mature form is the most common ovarian neoplasm in children and adolescents. Additionally, rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), commonly found in the bladder in both genders and in the prostate in males, and Ewing sarcoma (ES), affecting the flat bones of the pelvis, are relatively common tumors. In this study, selected atypical pelvic tumors in children are presented. Most of them are tumors of the reproductive system, such as cervical cancer, small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the ovary, ES/primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) of the ovary, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of the ovaries and ovarian Sertoli-Leydig cell tumor (SLCT) with RMS due to DICER1 syndrome. Additionally, tumors originating from the nervous system, including neuroblastoma (NBL) and plexiform neurofibroma (pNF), associated and not associated with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), are discussed. Furthermore, Rosai-Dorfman disease involving the pelvic and inguinal lymph nodes is presented. By reviewing the literature and presenting our cases, we tried to find radiological features of individual tumors that would bring the radiologist closer to the correct diagnosis, ensuring the implementation of appropriate treatment. However, the MR images cannot be considered in isolation. Additional patient data, such as the clinical picture, comorbidities/syndromes, and laboratory test results, are necessary.

Abstract
Lymphoma is a malignant tumour of the lymphatic system with an incidence rate of about 6.6 per 100,000 people. Among the many lymphoma types, the most common is non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Lymphomas are common in the gastrointestinal tract, breast, neck, etc., while those in female genital tracts are rare. In this article, we report four cases of primary female genital system lymphoid malignancies diagnosed and treated at our hospital from 2018 to 2023, with a systematic review.

Abstract
Due to its uncommon nature, primary ovarian lymphoma has no clinical particularities and can be confused with other ovarian cancers. It poses a twofold diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. An anatomopathological and immunohistochemical study is the crucial step in the diagnosis. Our case was a 55-year-old woman diagnosed with an Ann Arbor stage II E ovarian non-Hodgkin's lymphoma who initially presented with a painful pelvic mass. This case reflects the major role of an immunohistochemical study in the diagnosis workup, leading to the appropriate management of such rare tumors.

Abstract
Burkitt's lymphoma (BL) is defined as a highly invasive B-cell lymphoma, usually characterized by an excellent prognosis, more than 90% of children and adolescents being cured with highly dose-intensive multiagent chemotherapy. Primary ovarian localization without involvement of other organs is a rare manifestation of BL, especially in pediatric population. Symptoms at diagnosis are similar to other ovarian lesions and differential diagnosis may be challenging for clinicians. A 12-year-old girl was referred to our institution for abdominal pain and palpable mass observed by the pediatrician. Diagnostic work-up demonstrated a large mass arising from the right ovary, causing compression on abdominal aorta, inferior vena cava, ureters and bowel, with a second smaller lesion on the left ovary. At surgery, a 15 cm-large, ruptured mass arising from the right ovary was found, associated with a second lesion originating from the left ovary (8 cm) and multiple nodules of the greater omentum. Right salpingo-oophorectomy was performed, incisional biopsies were taken from the left ovary and omental nodules and peritoneal fluid samples were collected for cytology. Pathology revealed a Burkitt lymphoma and the patient underwent chemotherapy according to AIEOP LNH-97 Protocol, group R3 with Rituximab. Preoperative diagnosis of primary ovarian lymphoma is extremely difficult. Surgical exploration is often necessary in patients presenting with acute abdominal or pelvic pain; when the suspicion of primary ovarian lymphoma arises intraoperatively, every effort should be made to minimize invasive procedure in order to enhance post-operative recovery.

Burkitt's lymphoma (BL) is defined as a highly invasive B-cell lymphoma with a poor prognosis. Primary bilateral ovarian mass without involvement of other organs is a rare manifestation of BL. Our report was a case of an EBV positive Burkitt's lymphoma, which initially presented with ovarian mass and adnexal torsion.

Abstract
Breast and ovary have been described as rare but typical sites of presentation of Burkitt lymphoma (BL) in females, particularly after puberty. We revised a historic series of 44 lymphomas of the breast or the ovary in women diagnosed between 1973 and 2014 as BL. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) was applied to all, and array-based copy number analysis as well as expression profiling to a subset of those cases. Of the 42 cases evaluable for FISH, 19 cases showed an IG-MYC translocation but only 9 of those fulfilled the criteria of the current WHO classification for the diagnosis of BL. Those nine cases resembled BL of other sites with regard to molecular features. Our findings along with literature data suggest that breast and ovarian BL (1) seem to be rarer than hitherto assumed, (2) share typical molecular features with other BL, and (3) predominantly affect women in the fertile age.

SECONDARY OVARIAN NEOPLASMS IN A TERTIARY HOSPITAL IN SOUTHWESTERN NIGERIA. Ann Ib Postgrad Med 2019; 17:19-23. Abstract
BACKGROUND The ovary is a common site of involvement for metastases constituting 5-30% of all malignant ovarian neoplasms. Over half of these tumours are bilateral. The commonest sources are stomach, large bowel, appendix, breast, uterus (corpus and cervix) and lung. AIM The aim of this study was to determine the histopathological pattern of metastases to the ovary at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Southwestern Nigeria. MATERIAL AND METHODS This was a retrospective study. All histologically confirmed cases of metastases to the ovary from the records and files of the Department of Pathology, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan between January 1991 and June 2013 were used for the study. These were cases diagnosed following total abdominal hysterectomy, total abdominal hystero-salpingooophorectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, omentectomy, and multiple peritoneal biopsies and post-mortems at the University College Hospital between January 1991 and June 2013. Cases with inadequate clinical data and whose blocks and or slides could not be retrieved were excluded from the study. The data obtained were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 20. RESULTS There were 46 cases of metastases to the ovary constituting 5.3% of total ovarian neoplasms. Thirty (63.9%) cases were metastatic carcinomas with the affected patients' age range of 20-79 years, and peak incidence within the age group of 30-39 years. Nineteen out of 30 cases of metastatic carcinomas were from adenocarcinoma of colon, 6 cases were from the gastric carcinoma while the remaining five cases were from the squamous cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix. Fifteen (31.9%) cases of Burkitt Lymphoma were found with patients with age range of 0-39 years, and the peak age of occurrence at the 2nd decade. The only case of metastatic Malignant Mixed Mullerian Tumour and metastatic Leiomyosarcoma were found in the 3rd and 4th decades of life respectively. CONCLUSION This study has shown that metastases to the ovary occur in younger age groups in our environment. Therefore this study emphasizes that in young females with ovarian masses, the likelihood of metastatic tumours should not be discarded because, correct and precise diagnosis of secondary ovarian malignancy is critical as it has significant implication on the patients' choice of management and prognosis.

Abstract
Background The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of the JAK2/STAT3 pathway on the proliferation, cell cycle distribution, apoptosis, and oxidative stress of Raji cells via regulating HSP70 expression. Material/Methods Raji cells were divided into Blank, HSP70 siRNA, NC siRNA, AG490 (a JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway inhibitor), and HSP70 siRNA + rh JAK2 (recombinant human JAK2) groups. HSP70 expression was detected by quantitative real-time reverse transcription-PCR (qRT-PCR); the expression levels of HSP70 and JAK2/STAT3 pathway-related proteins were evaluated by Western blotting; cell proliferation was assessed by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assays; cell cycle distribution was observed by flow cytometry; cell apoptosis was tested by Annexin V-FITC/PI and Hoechst 33342/PI staining; reactive oxygen species (ROS) production was measured by dichloro-dihydro-fluorescein diacetate (DCFH-DA) assays; and MDA content and SOD and GSH-Px activities were determined using detection kits. Results AG490 obviously down-regulated HSP70 expression, inhibited proliferation, induced cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase, and promoted apoptosis in Raji cells; these effects were similar to the effects of HSP70 siRNA. Furthermore, ROS production and MDA content were increased in Raji cells treated with HSP70 siRNA or AG490, while SOD and GSH-Px activities were reduced. Raji cells in the HSP70 siRNA + rh JAK2 group did not significantly differ from those in the Blank group in regards to proliferation, cell cycle, apoptosis, and oxidative stress. Conclusions Blocking the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway may inhibit proliferation, induce cell cycle arrest, and promote oxidative stress and apoptosis in Raji cells via the down-regulation of HSP70.

Abstract
We report a rare case of 42-year-old female patient with bilateral primary ovarian Burkitt lymphoma (BL). Primary BLs are rare ovarian oncology neoplasms. Only few cases are reported in English literature, most of them are presented in pediatric and young adult age groups. Rare cases are reported in adult females. Although BL is a rare primary ovarian neoplasm, it is very important to establish an accurate diagnosis as early as possible for therapeutic purposes.
