Abstract
BACKGROUND Exercise interventions are among the best-known interventions for cancer-related fatigue (CRF). Rural survivors of cancer, however, report specific barriers to engaging in exercise programs and lack overall access to effective programs. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this investigation was to assess the feasibility of a novel telehealth exercise program designed specifically for rural survivors of cancer with CRF. METHODS A single-arm clinical trial of the BfitBwell Telehealth Program was performed. Based on an established clinical program, this adapted 12-week program addressed barriers previously reported by rural survivors by providing synchronous videoconference exercise sessions (2 per program), asynchronous exercise sessions using a personal training smartphone or internet app (3-5 per week), and regular symptom (CRF) monitoring using automated emailed surveys (every 2 weeks). Personalized exercise prescriptions containing aerobic and resistance activities were implemented by cancer exercise specialists. Symptom-triggered synchronous sessions were initiated for participants failing to improve in CRF, as identified by a reference chart of CRF improvements observed during a supervised exercise program. Eligible participants were adult survivors of any cancer diagnosis who had completed treatment with curative intent in the past 12 months or had no planned changes in treatment for the duration of the study, lived in a rural area, and were currently experiencing CRF. Feasibility was assessed by objective measures of recruitment, data collection, intervention acceptability and suitability, and preliminary evaluations of participant responses. CRF was the primary clinical outcome (assessed using the Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Fatigue Scale [FACIT-Fatigue]) and was measured before, after, and 6 months after program completion. RESULTS In total, 19 participants enrolled in the study, 16 initiated the exercise program, and 15 completed the program. A total of 14 participants were recruited through internet advertisements, and the total recruitment rate peaked at 5 participants per month. Participants completed 100% of initial and final assessments (30 assessments across all participants) and 93% (70/75 possible surveys across all participants) of emailed surveys and attended 97% (29/30 possible sessions across all participants) of synchronous exercise sessions. In total, 6 participants initiated symptom-triggered sessions, with 6 of 7 initiated sessions attended. The mean FACIT-Fatigue scores significantly improved (P=.001) by 11.2 (SD 6.8) points following the completion of the program. A total of 13 participants demonstrated at least a minimal clinically important difference in FACIT-Fatigue scores (≥ +3 points) at this time. FACIT-Fatigue scores did not significantly change from program completion to 6-month follow-up (n=13; mean change -1.1, SD 3.4 points; P=.29). CONCLUSIONS Results from this investigation support the feasibility of the BfitBwell Telehealth Program and a subsequent efficacy trial. Novel program components also provide potential models for improving exercise program efficacy and efficiency through asynchronous exercise prescription and symptom monitoring. Abstract
PURPOSE The present study aims to assess the efficacy of stage-matched, self-managed Return to Work (RTW) interventions in enhancing RTW outcomes among colorectal cancer (CRC) survivors. METHODS This trial, conducted in South Korea, enrolled 58 unemployed survivors of colorectal cancer. Participants were randomly assigned to either an experimental or a control group. The experimental group received a self-managed return-to-work intervention based on the trans-theoretical model, while the control group received an educational booklet. Assessments were conducted at baseline and at 3, 6, and 12 months to measure changes in various factors including return-to-work status and HRQOL. RESULTS In the experimental group, 28 participants were randomly assigned, while 30 individuals were allocated to the control group. The experimental group exhibited a higher proportion of individuals achieving RTW (64.5% vs 39.3%, p = 0.013) and demonstrated greater improvements in work ability (p = 0.001), RTW self-efficacy (p = 0.035), readiness for RTW in the prepared-for-action (p < 00.0001), uncertain maintenance (p = 0.033), and proactive maintenance (p < 00.0001) stages, quality of working life (p = 0.003), HRQOL (p < 0.05), and illness perception (p < 0.05) compared to the control group at the 12-month follow-up. CONCLUSIONS Stage-matched self-managed RTW interventions incorporating TTM principles may effectively enhance RTW outcomes and work ability among CRC survivors.

Abstract
Background:
Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is a common symptom reported by survivors of cancer. CRF is associated with reduced self-reported physical function, but associations with objective measures of physical function are less robust. Exercise programs have been shown to improve both CRF and objective physical function, but the interaction of exercise, CRF, and function has not been explored.
Methods:
Retrospective data were collected from baseline (n = 420) and final assessments (n = 234) of survivors who participated in a 3-month clinical exercise program. Assessments included measures of CRF (Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy–Fatigue) and physical function (6-minute walk test, usual and fast gait speed, 30-second sit-to-stand test, and the Timed Up and Go test). Multiple regression analyses investigated associations between CRF and physical function before and after the program. CRF and functional changes following the program were calculated and associations investigated with multiple regressions.
Results:
All measures of CRF and physical function significantly improved following the program (P < .01). CRF was associated with all functional measures at baseline (standardized β = −0.18 to 0.29, P < .01) and final assessments (r = −0.27 to 0.26, P < .01). Changes in CRF were associated with changes in function (standardized β = −0.12 to 0.23, P < .05), except usual gait speed (P = .17).
Conclusion:
This investigation demonstrated associations between CRF and objective physical function before and after participation in an exercise program. The 3-way interaction between CRF, physical function, and exercise can be used clinically to personalize rehabilitation strategies. Future studies should investigate changes in CRF and function during an exercise program.

Abstract
PURPOSE Cancer survivors physical function response to exercise programs at the group level is well-established. However, to advance toward a more personalized approach in exercise oncology, a greater understanding of individual response is needed. This study utilized data from a well-established cancer-exercise program to evaluate the heterogeneity of physical function response and explore characteristics of participants who did vs. did not achieve a minimal clinically important difference (MCID). METHODS Physical function measures (grip strength, 6-min walk test (6MWT), and sit-to-stand) were completed pre/post the 3-month program. Change scores for each participant and the proportion achieving the MCID for each physical function measure were calculated. The independent t-tests, Fisher's exact test, and decision tree analyses were used to explore differences in age, body mass index (BMI), treatment status, exercise session attendance, and baseline value between participants who achieved the MCID vs. those who did not. RESULTS Participants (N = 250) were 55 ± 14 years old, majority female (69.2%), white (84.1%), and diagnosed with breast cancer (36.8%). Change in grip strength ranged from - 42.1 to + 47.0 lb, and 14.8% achieved the MCID. Change in 6MWT ranged from - 151 to + 252 m, and 59% achieved the MCID. Change in sit-to-stand ranged from - 13 to + 20 reps, and 63% achieved the MCID. Baseline grip strength, age, BMI, and exercise session attendance were related to achieving MCID. CONCLUSIONS Findings illustrate wide variability in the magnitude of cancer survivors' physical function response following an exercise program, and that a variety of factors predict response. Further investigation into the biological, behavioral, physiological, and genetic factors will inform tailoring of exercise interventions and programs to maximize the proportion of cancer survivors who can derive clinically meaningful benefits.

Abstract
PURPOSE Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is a common and limiting symptom reported by survivors of cancer, negatively impacting health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Exercise improves CRF, HRQoL, and physical fitness in survivors. Prospective research trials have shown that exercise-associated fitness improvements effects on HRQoL are mediated by CRF; however, this has not been investigated in a pragmatic real-world setting. This study utilizes data from a large heterogenous population of survivors participating in a clinical exercise program to investigate this mediation effect, as well as effects of program attendance. METHODS Data were collected from 194 survivors completing the BfitBwell Cancer Exercise Program (July 2016-February 2020). Changes in HRQoL, CRF, and fitness were calculated and program attendance collected. Basic correlation analyses were performed. Linear regression analyses were performed to assess mediation by CRF. RESULTS All measures of CRF, HRQoL, and physical fitness significantly improved following the exercise program. Improvements in physical fitness were significantly correlated with improvements in HRQoL (r = 0.15-0.18), as was program attendance (r = 0.26) and CRF (r = 0.59). The effects of physical fitness and program attendance on HRQoL were at least partially mediated by the effects of CRF. CONCLUSION This study extends research findings on how exercise programs improve HRQoL in survivors of cancer to a real-world setting. Results indicate that clinical exercise programs should target reductions in CRF in survivors (during or after treatment) through improvements in physical fitness to improve HRQoL and that high attendance should be encouraged regardless of fitness changes.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To systematically review the evidence regarding rehabilitation interventions targeting optimal physical or cognitive function in adults with a history of cancer and describe the breadth of evidence as well as strengths and limitations across a range of functional domains. DATA SOURCES PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Plus, Scopus, Web of Science, and Embase. The time scope was January 2008 to April 2019. STUDY SELECTION Prospective, controlled trials including single- and multiarm cohorts investigating rehabilitative interventions for cancer survivors at any point in the continuum of care were included, if studies included a primary functional outcome measure. Secondary data analyses and pilot/feasibility studies were excluded. Full-text review identified 362 studies for inclusion. DATA EXTRACTION Extraction was performed by coauthor teams and quality and bias assessed using the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Classification of Evidence Scheme (class I-IV). DATA SYNTHESIS Studies for which the functional primary endpoint achieved significance were categorized into 9 functional areas foundational to cancer rehabilitation: (1) quality of life (109 studies), (2) activities of daily living (61 studies), (3) fatigue (59 studies), (4) functional mobility (55 studies), (5) exercise behavior (37 studies), (6) cognition (20 studies), (7) communication (10 studies), (8) sexual function (6 studies), and (9) return to work (5 studies). Most studies were categorized as class III in quality/bias. Averaging results found within each of the functional domains, 71% of studies reported statistically significant results after cancer rehabilitation intervention(s) for at least 1 functional outcome. CONCLUSIONS These findings provide evidence supporting the efficacy of rehabilitative interventions for individuals with a cancer history. The findings should be balanced with the understanding that many studies had moderate risk of bias and/or limitations in study quality by AAN criteria. These results may provide a foundation for future work to establish clinical practice guidelines for rehabilitative interventions across cancer disease types.

Abstract
This paper aims to overview different types of stress, including DNA replication stress, oxidative stress, and psychological stress. Understanding the processes that constitute a cellular response to varied types of stress lets us find differences in how normal cells and cancer cells react to the appearance of a particular kind of stressor. The revealed dissimilarities are the key for targeting new molecules and signaling pathways in anticancer treatment. For this reason, molecular mechanisms that underlay DNA replication stress, oxidative stress, and psychological stress have been studied and briefly presented to indicate biochemical points that make stressors contribute to cancer development. What is more, the viewpoint in which cancer constitutes the outcome and the cause of stress has been taken into consideration. In a described way, this paper draws attention to the problem of cancer-related post-traumatic stress disorder and proposes a novel, multidimensional oncological approach, connecting anticancer treatment with psychiatric support.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is one of the most reported and functionally limiting symptoms experienced by individuals living with and beyond cancer. Exercise is effective at reducing CRF, though currently it is not possible to predict the magnitude and time course of improvement for an individual participating in an exercise program. OBJECTIVE To develop a reference chart of CRF improvement for individuals participating in a 3-month cancer-specific exercise program. METHODS In this retrospective cohort study, CRF was assessed every two weeks (using the FACIT - Fatigue scale, range: 0 - 52 with lower scores indicating greater fatigue) in 173 individuals participating in a 3-month supervised exercise program (741 observations). No cancer types were excluded and individuals were either undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation, or within 6 months of completing treatment. The reference chart was developed using Generalized Additive Models for Location Scale and Shape. RESULTS Each participant had an average of four CRF observations. Lower centiles demonstrated greater improvement than higher centiles (11 points over the duration of the program for the 10th and 4 points for the 90th percentiles). LIMITATIONS The population is biased to individuals self-selecting or being referred to a clinical exercise program. CONCLUSIONS This reference chart provides a novel method of monitoring CRF improvement during a cancer-specific exercise program. Setting appropriate expectations and informing exercise prescription adaptation are discussed in the context of representative data from three participants. Future research can investigate improvements in clinical outcomes and the remote monitoring of CRF through the implementation of the reference chart.

Feasibility of Implementing Physical Activity Behavior Change Counseling in an Existing Cancer-Exercise Program. Abstract
PURPOSE This study examined the feasibility and acceptability of implementing research-tested physical activity (PA) behavior change counseling (BCC) sessions in an existing cancer-exercise program, and the preliminary effects on cancer survivor's self-efficacy and PA. METHODS Participants were cancer survivors undergoing or within six-months of completing cancer treatment(s), and exercise program staff. Cancer survivors were randomized to receive the exercise program plus PABCC, or the standard exercise program. Feasibility and acceptability were assessed by recruitment, adherence, satisfaction, and a focus group with program staff. Qualitative data were analyzed using descriptive thematic analysis. Self-report questionnaires measured PA and exercise self-efficacy. RESULTS Recruitment was 33 out of 93 (36.7%), and n = 13 (39%) provided post-program data. Cancer survivors enjoyed PABCC sessions, but reported face-to-face delivery was an added time burden. Program staff expressed desire to implement PABCC, but perceived staff capacity and time as barriers to sustainability. Exercise self-efficacy increased by 21.5% in the PABCC group vs. 4.2% in the control. PA increased by 81.3% in the PABCC group vs. 16.6% in the control group. CONCLUSIONS Implementing PABCC in an existing cancer-exercise program was acceptable and promising for increasing moderate to vigorous PA, but additional research is needed to enhance the feasibility and sustainability of translating efficacious behavioral interventions into existing cancer-exercise programs.

Abstract
Introduction Sleep disturbance is the second leading negative side effect reported by cancer survivors, and evidence exists to suggest that exercise may improve sleep for cancer survivors. This study examined changes in sleep following a 3-month, clinic-based exercise program among a diverse group of cancer survivors. Methods Single group, pre-post study design. Participants were enrolled in a supervised exercise program which consisted of moderate intensity aerobic and resistance training, twice per week for 3-months. To be eligible, individuals had to be diagnosed with cancer, and undergoing, or within 6-months of completing chemo and/or radiation therapy. Sleep was assessed at pre-and post-program using 3 self-report questions as part of a standard wellness assessment conducted at the program’s facility. Changes in categorical outcomes were evaluated using McNemar and Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Tests. Results Participants (N = 94) were mostly female (68.1%, N = 64), mean age = 54.26 ± 14.26 (20-78), and diagnosed with more than 8 different cancer types. Half (N = 48, 51.1%) of participants improved on 1 or more of the questions assessing sleep. At post-program, 39% of participants reported that they did not awaken feeling rested versus 48% at pre-program (P = .08). At post-program, 47% reported awakening ≥1 time per night versus 46% at pre-program (P = .97), and 17% reported poor or very poor sleep quality at post-program versus 24% at pre-program (P = .16). There were no differences in demographic, cancer-related, psychosocial, and physical fitness variables between participants who improved on any of the questions assessing sleep versus those who did not. Conclusions A clinically implemented exercise program may help some cancer survivors improve sleep, however more studies utilizing validated, objective measures of sleep are needed to confirm effectiveness.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs) represent ∼95% of testicular malignancies and are the most common type of malignancy in young male adults. While the incidence of TGCTs has increased during the last decades, the advances in treatment, namely introducing cisplatin into the chemotherapy regimen, have made TGCTs highly curable with the 10-year survival rate exceeding 95%. However, in parallel with increased cure rates, survivors may experience acute and late adverse effects of treatment, which increase morbidity, reduce the quality of life, and can be potentially life-threatening. Chemotherapy-related toxicities include cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, secondary cancer, avascular necrosis, cognitive impairment, cancer-related fatigue, poor mental health-related quality of life, nephrotoxicity, hypogonadism, neurotoxicity, pulmonary toxicity, anxiety, and depression. These treatment-related adverse effects have emerged as important survivorship dilemmas in TGCT cancer survivors. Recently, regular physical exercise has increasingly attracted research and clinical attention as an adjunct therapy for cancer patients. PURPOSE Herein, we review the most common chemotherapy-related adverse effects in TGCT survivors and clinical relevance of exercise and increased cardio-respiratory fitness in modulating chemotherapy-related toxicity and quality of life in this population. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION Exercise has positive effects on a spectrum of physical and psychosocial outcomes during and after cancer treatment, and current guidelines on exercise prescription in chronic diseases define the recommended dose (volume and intensity) of regular exercise for cancer survivors, highlighting regular, sufficiently intensive physical activity as an essential part of patients' care.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Evidence for exercise as an efficacious strategy to improve aerobic capacity of breast cancer survivors (BCS) has come largely from intervention studies conducted in laboratory settings. There is an increasing need to translate to community-type settings, but the efficacy of those interventions using gold standard evaluation is not well-established.
AIM To investigate whether similar improvement in aerobic capacity (maximal oxygen consumption [VO2]) measured with gold standard testing can be achieved through a community-based setting in BCS.
METHODS A peak cardiopulmonary exercise test (VO2peak), 6-min walk test (6MWT), and timed up and go test (TUG) were assessed pre- and post-16 wk of progressive intensity aerobic and strength training exercise at a community center.
RESULTS The sample consisted of 31 early BCS (< 1 year since treatment completion) and 15 controls (CTLs). Both groups significantly improved VO2peak (+1.2 mL/kg/min; P = 0.030), 6MWT (+35 meters; P < 0.001), and TUG (-0.44 s; P < 0.01) following training. Both groups improved peak cycling power during the cardiopulmonary exercise test with BCS improving by +10 watts more than the CTLs (P = 0.020). Average exercise attendance was 71% (34 of 48 possible days), but compliant days averaged only 60% of total days for aerobic, and < 40% for strength in both groups.
CONCLUSION Community-based exercise programs can be an effective strategy to improve aerobic capacity and physical function for early-stage BCS but potentially not to the same extent observed in laboratory-based randomized controlled trials. Further research is needed to explore barriers and facilitators of exercise engagement in community-based centers to maximize training benefits for adults with cancer.

Abstract
PURPOSE Exercise is efficacious for people living after a cancer diagnosis. However, implementation of exercise interventions in real-world settings is challenging. Implementation outcomes are defined as 'the effects of deliberate and purposive actions to implement new treatments, practices, and services'. Measuring implementation outcomes is a practical way of evaluating implementation success. This systematic review explores the implementation outcomes of exercise interventions evaluated under real-world conditions for cancer care. METHODS Using PRISMA guidelines, an electronic database search of Medline, PsycInfo, CINAHL, Web of Science, SportsDiscus, Scopus and Cochrane Central Registry of Controlled Trials was conducted for studies published between January 2000 and February 2020. The Moving through Cancer registry was hand searched. The Implementation Outcomes Framework guided data extraction. Inclusion criteria were adult populations with a cancer diagnosis. Efficacy studies were excluded. RESULTS Thirty-seven articles that described 31 unique programs met the inclusion criteria. Implementation outcomes commonly evaluated were feasibility (unique programs n = 17, 54.8%) and adoption (unique programs n = 14, 45.2%). Interventions were typically delivered in the community (unique programs n = 17, 58.6%), in groups (unique programs n = 14, 48.3%) and supervised by a qualified health professional (unique programs n = 14, 48.3%). Implementation outcomes infrequently evaluated were penetration (unique programs n = 1, 3.2%) and sustainability (unique programs n = 1, 3.2%). CONCLUSIONS Exercise studies need to measure and evaluate implementation outcomes under real-world conditions. Robust measurement and reporting of implementation outcomes can help to identify what strategies are essential for successful implementation of exercise interventions. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS Understanding how exercise interventions can be successful implemented is important so that people living after a cancer diagnosis can derive the benefits of exercise.

Abstract
PURPOSE Participation in exercise or rehabilitation services is recommended to optimize health, functioning, and well-being across the cancer continuum of care. However, limited knowledge of individual needs and complex decision-making are barriers to connect the right survivor to the right exercise/rehabilitation service at the right time. In this article, we define the levels of exercise/rehabilitation services, provide a conceptual model to improve understanding of individual needs, and describe the development of the Exercise in Cancer Evaluation and Decision Support (EXCEEDS) algorithm. METHODS From literature review, we synthesized defining characteristics of exercise/rehabilitation services and individual characteristics associated with safety and efficacy for each service. We developed a visual model to conceptualize the need for each level of specialized care, then organized individual characteristics into a risk-stratified algorithm. Iterative review with a multidisciplinary expert panel was conducted until consensus was reached on algorithm content and format. RESULTS We identified eight defining features of the four levels of exercise/rehabilitation services and provide a conceptual model of to guide individualized navigation for each service across the continuum of care. The EXCEEDS algorithm includes a risk-stratified series of eleven dichotomous questions, organized in two sections and ten domains. CONCLUSIONS The EXCEEDS algorithm is an evidence-based decision support tool that provides a common language to describe exercise/rehabilitation services, a practical model to understand individualized needs, and step-by-step decision support guidance. The EXCEEDS algorithm is designed to be used at point of care or point of need by multidisciplinary users, including survivors. Thus, implementation may improve care coordination for cancer exercise/rehabilitation services.

Abstract
Chronic stress is well-known to cause physiological distress that leads to body balance perturbations by altering signaling pathways in the neuroendocrine and sympathetic nervous systems. This increases allostatic load, which is the cost of physiological fluctuations that are required to cope with psychological challenges as well as changes in the physical environment. Recent studies have enriched our knowledge about the role of chronic stress in disease development, especially carcinogenesis. Stress stimulates the hypothalamic-pituitaryadrenal (HPA) axis and the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), resulting in an abnormal release of hormones. These activate signaling pathways that elevate expression of downstream oncogenes. This occurs by activation of specific receptors that promote numerous cancer biological processes, including proliferation, genomic instability, angiogenesis, metastasis, immune evasion and metabolic disorders. Moreover, accumulating evidence has revealed that β-adrenergic receptor (ADRB) antagonists and downstream target inhibitors exhibit remarkable anti-tumor effects. Psychosomatic behavioral interventions (PBI) and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) also effectively relieve the impact of stress in cancer patients. In this review, we discuss recent advances in the underlying mechanisms that are responsible for stress in promoting malignancies. Collectively, these data provide approaches for NextGen pharmacological therapies, PBI and TCM to reduce the burden of tumorigenesis.

This study examined predictors of attendance to an exercise program in a large, diverse sample of cancer survivors. METHODS Participants (n = 302) were enrolled in BfitBwell, an exercise program for adults diagnosed with cancer, and currently receiving or within 6 months of completing chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Participants were offered two supervised aerobic and resistance exercise sessions per week for 3 months. Predictors of attendance included demographics, cancer-related information, quality of life (QOL), fatigue, physical fitness, activity level, and importance of making various changes (e.g., improving fitness). Univariate linear regression first explored associations between predictor variables and adherence, and any important variables (p < .10) were included in a multivariate linear regression model. RESULTS Participants were M = 54.9 ± 13.9 years old, mostly female (67.3%), white (83.6%), and most commonly diagnosed with breast cancer (34.8%). Average attendance was 16.2 ± 6.6 exercise sessions. Six-minute walk test distance, QOL, and fatigue were associated with exercise session attendance (p < .05). The multivariable model revealed that higher QOL predicted higher attendance (β = .351, p = .005), and working full- or part-time significantly predicted lower attendance (β =- .221, p =.021). CONCLUSIONS Higher pre-program QOL and not working full- or part-time predicted higher exercise program attendance. Existing and future exercise programs for cancer survivors should consider ways to adapt program delivery to provide support to survivors who start with low QOL, and accommodate those who may face barriers to attending due to work schedule/conflict.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate the association between general physical activity level and TMD pain in Koreans in a large-scale national database established through a nationwide survey. METHODS Data from the Fourth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES IV), which was conducted from 2007 to 2009, were analysed. In total, 16 941 participants were included in this cross-sectional study. Data on sociodemographic characteristics, TMD-related variables, and general physical activity level were collected. Participants were divided into moderate- and low-intensity exercise groups according to their physical activity levels. Multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed, adjusting for sociodemographic and other covariates. RESULTS The adjusted odds ratio (OR) (95% confidence interval; CI) for TMD pain was 1.373 (1.017-1.854) for people doing moderate-intensity exercises and 0.797 (0.629-1.008) among people doing low-intensity exercises. Those who did moderate-intensity exercises had significantly more TMD pain. This was higher in the 30- to 39-year age group (OR: 1.991, 95% CI: 1.137-3.488), with significantly higher risk for TMD pain in those who did moderate-intensity exercise, whereas low-intensity exercise significantly decreased the risk for TMD pain in the same age group (OR: 0.625, 95% CI: 0.409-0.958). CONCLUSIONS Moderate-intensity physical activity is associated with more TMD pain. Patients with TMD should avoid high-intensity level exercises and continue low-intensity exercises to prevent pain aggravation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Few data are available on long-term fatigue (LTF) and quality of life (QoL) among epithelial ovarian cancer survivors (EOCS). In this case-control study, we compared LTF, symptoms and several QoL domains in EOCS relapse-free ≥3 years after first-line treatment and age-matched healthy women. PATIENTS AND METHODS EOCS were recruited from 25 cooperative GINECO centers in France. Controls were randomly selected from the electoral rolls. All participants completed validated self-reported questionnaires: fatigue (FACIT-F), QoL (FACT-G/O), neurotoxicity (FACT-Ntx), anxiety/depression (HADS), sleep disturbance (ISI), and physical activity (IPAQ). Severe LTF (SLTF) was defined as a FACIT-F score <37/52. Univariate and multivariate logistic regressions were conducted to analyze SLTF and its influencing factors in EOCS. RESULTS A total of 318 EOCS and 318 controls were included. EOCS were 63-year-old on average, with FIGO stage I/II (50%), III/IV (48%); 99% had received platinum and taxane chemotherapy, with an average 6-year follow-up. There were no differences between the two groups in socio-demographic characteristics and global QoL. EOCS had poorer FACIT-F scores (40 versus 45, P < 0.0001), lower functional well-being scores (18 versus 20, P = 0.0002), poorer FACT-O scores (31 versus 34 P < 0.0001), and poorer FACT-Ntx scores (35 versus 39, P < 0.0001). They also reported more SLTF (26% versus 13%, P = 0.0004), poorer sleep quality (63% versus 47%, P = 0.0003), and more depression (22% versus 13%, P = 0.01). Fewer than 20% of EOCS and controls exercised regularly. In multivariate analyses, EOCS with high levels of depression, neurotoxicity, and sleep disturbance had an increased risk of developing SLTF (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION Compared with controls, EOCS presented similar QoL but persistent LTF, EOC-related symptoms, neurotoxicity, depression, and sleep disturbance. Depression, neuropathy, and sleep disturbance are the main conditions associated with severe LTF.

Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is a frequent and distressing symptom present at any stage of the disease. However, it is still underreported, rarely properly assessed and undertreated. RECENT FINDINGS There are international guidelines available, but also several barriers to their implementation into clinical practice. SUMMARY According to guidelines, all patients should be clinically screened for CRF on regular basis, at the initial cancer visit and at intervals during every clinic visit, also at posttreatment follow-up visits. Generally, any treatable contributing factors should be identified and possibly treated. After the concomitant factors have been improved or removed, pharmacological and or nonpharmacological treatments of CRF can be considered.Further research is needed to better understand the causes, the better treatments, the easier assessment tool for CRF for clinical practice and to identify barriers and facilitators to implementing CRF guidelines.
