Abstract
Pain associated with cancer is often the first symptom reported with major repercussions on patient's quality of life. Mechanical compression, release of algogenic substances by the tumor or the complications of oncologic treatment represent the major causes. Nociceptive and neuropathic pain are both induced by different mediators that give rise to a neuroinflammation creating a peripheral and central sensitization responsible of chronic pain. Understanding the pain pathway may orientate to the most appropriate treatment. Oral medication should be often reevaluated to consider multimodal analgesia including interventional pain procedures with intrathecal therapy and neuromodulation.

Abstract
The management of multimorphic cancer pain is a major supportive care in oncology, for which many national and international recommendations have recently been updated. Any cancer patient must benefit from access to supportive care from the diagnosis, throughout the entire care pathway. Chronic renal failure, from any etiology, requires special attention and constant attention to details from interdisciplinary caregivers' teams to propose the best analgesic therapeutic strategy, combining complementary and interventional approaches to treatments. Analgesic therapies, in particular opioids and antineuropathics, require specific precautions. A therapeutic alliance integrating clinical pharmacy as a supportive care in its own right, is a major asset allowing the optimization and securing of analgesic drug treatments, conditioning both their efficacy, their tolerance and therapeutic observance, in the goal of improving the patient's quality of life.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Cancer-related pain is ubiquitous. Targeted procedural interventions may be an important and underutilized method for improving cancer-related pain and quality of life. The goal of this study was to determine the baseline educational experience and perceived post-graduation comfort of Pain Medicine fellows in performing procedures that can be used for cancer-related pain. METHODS Using Qualtrics, a 16-question survey was distributed to graduating fellows at accredited Pain Medicine Fellowship programs in the USA in June 2022. The fellows' experience and comfort level performing eight procedures was analyzed using summary descriptive statistics and contingency table analysis with statistical significance determined by Pearson's χ2 test. RESULTS Survey respondents represented 30% of fellows among 44% of Pain Medicine programs during the 2021-2022 academic year. The majority of respondents reported no experience performing 7 of the 8 procedures for cancer-related pain (56.1%-90.6%). Graduating fellows reported overall comfort performing sympathetic neurolysis (65.7%), spinal cord stimulator trials (85.7%) and implantations (66.0%), but not intrathecal pump trials (36.9%) and implantations (31.3%), peripheral nerve stimulator implantations (41.7%), vertebral augmentations (31.3%), and vertebral body radiofrequency ablations (16.7%). CONCLUSIONS Experience performing 10 or more of the surveyed procedures, personal interest in treating cancer-related pain, and attendance of cancer-related pain lectures were found to significantly increase comfortability in performing cancer-related pain procedures post graduation, whereas cadaver-based learning did not. This study highlights the need for more robust procedural education for cancer-related pain and identifies procedural experience in non-cancer patients and lectures on cancer-related pain as ways to bridge this educational gap.

Abstract
Tumor-associated pain has a high prevalence and is still a challenging aspect of pain medicine. Treatment-related etiologies often coexist with pain caused by the oncological disease itself. For cancer pain as well, a pathophysiologically oriented analysis of nociceptive, nociplastic and neuropathic pain is advisable for planning a tailored treatment. The analgesic three-step ladder of the World Health Organization (WHO) should be customized in this context, incorporating antineuropathic or antihypersensitizing pharmacological approaches as well as minimally invasive techniques. Psycho-oncological and exercise therapy interventions should be considered. In cases of long-term courses of treatment or following curative oncological treatment, chronically persistent or chronic tumor-associated pain can occur, necessitating multimodal therapeutic approaches analogue to noncancer pain conditions. Close integration with palliative medicine enhances the therapeutic effectiveness during the transition from nonpalliative to palliative treatment phases.

Abstract
Pain is frequently reported during cancer disease, and it still remains poorly controlled in 40% of patients. Recent developments in oncology have helped to better control pain. Targeted treatments may cure cancer disease and significantly increase survival. Therefore, a novel population of patients (cancer survivors) has emerged, also enduring chronic pain (27.6% moderate to severe pain). The present review discusses the different options currently available to manage pain in (former) cancer patients in light of progress made in the last decade. Major progress in the field includes the recent development of a chronic cancer pain taxonomy now included in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) and the update of the WHO analgesic ladder. Until recently, cancer pain management has mostly relied on pharmacotherapy, with opioids being considered as the mainstay. The opioids crisis has prompted the reassessment of opioids use in cancer patients and survivors. This review focuses on the current utilization of opioids, the neuropathic pain component often neglected, and the techniques and non-pharmacological strategies available which help to personalize patient treatment. Cancer pain management is now closer to the management of chronic non-cancer pain, i.e., "an integrative and supportive pain care" aiming to improve patient's quality of life.

Abstract
Underlying cancer pain has heterogenous aetiologies and mechanisms. It requires detailed and comprehensive pain assessment, combined with personalized treatment. A multidisciplinary team is essential to providing the best management of cancer pain at every disease stage, improving the quality of life and outcomes in patients with cancer. This narrative literature review emphasizes the value of providing all patients with multidisciplinary pain management in their preferred care setting. Real-life experiences are also reported to witness the efforts of physicians to properly manage cancer pain. Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW Ultrasound-guided regional techniques, including catheter-based approaches, are a subset of interventional therapies that have gained interest as an option for managing acute cancer-related pain. The authors sought to review the available published evidence and to discuss practical recommendations for expanding access to such therapies. RECENT FINDINGS In a MEDLINE/Pubmed search of ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks and peripheral nerve catheters for specific anatomic targets, a total of 28 case reports and case series were identified. Included studies described improved analgesia and reduced opioid requirements with highly variable duration of effect. Current level of evidence remains limited. Pain is a symptom that markedly impacts the quality of life of cancer patients and ultrasound-guided regional techniques are a promising therapeutic option albeit with a limited evidence base. Practical recommendations offered for coordinating access to such therapies in the inpatient, emergency department, and outpatient settings may expand interest and facilitate higher quality research.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Over the past few decades, radiology has established itself in tumor therapy through interventional oncology including innovative and efficient procedures for minimalinvasive treatment of various tumor entities besides the "classic" therapeutic options such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.Aim of this study was to evaluate the extent to which interventional oncology can provide nationwide care using the data from the register of the German Society for Interventional Radiology and Minimally Invasive Therapy (DeGIR registry), which records radiological interventions as part of quality assurance. METHODS The numbers of interventions of participating clinics, which were recorded as part of module D (oncological procedures including TACE or other tumor-specific embolization, ablation, percutaneous tumor therapy) and identified by the DeGIR registry between 2018 and 2019, were analyzed retrospectively. The collected intervention data were evaluated regarding federal states and 40 smaller regions (administrative districts and former administrative districts). RESULTS In 2018, 11 653 oncological interventions in 187 clinics were recorded by the DeGIR registry. In 2019, the number of participating clinics rose to 216 and the number of oncological interventions increased by 6 % to 12 323. The average number of oncological interventions per clinic decreased slightly from 62.5 (2018) to 57.1 (2019). The DeGIR requirement for being certified as a training center was met by 116 clinics in 2018 including 31 clinics with more than 100 interventions and 129 clinics in 2019 including 36 with more than 100 interventions. Oncological interventions have been performed in each of the 40 regions. An average of 599 interventions per region (standard deviation of 414) was recorded in the period between 2018 and 2019. CONCLUSION Based on the distribution of the documented oncological interventions at federal state level as well as the district level, the supply of interventional tumor therapy depends on the geographical location. Therefore, the demand of oncological interventions might not be sufficiently covered in some regions. Abstract
Cancer pain remains a major public health issue. Despite progress in pain medicine thanks to the interest shown in early and timely supportive care, more than half the patients managed for cancer are in pain. One of the key factors in high quality multidisciplinary management throughout the care pathway is to assess more than just pain: it is necessary to assess the patient as a whole. Understanding the complexity of cancer pain - or the various types of pain - through the innovative multimorphic cancer pain model, effectively opens up new perspectives for a targeted, personalised, and multimodal approach. The subsequent treatment strategies, whether drug-based with opioids, or interventional, are codified by guidelines based on scientific evidence for the healthcare professionals and, ultimately, patients.
