Abstract
Introduction: Health-related quality of life (QOL) has gained importance due to the increasing incidence of breast cancer and the survival rate of breast cancer patients. We aimed to investigate the relationship between lymphedema, fatigue, and QOL in breast cancer survivors with axillary lymph node dissection. Methods: A total of 122 female breast cancer survivors with axillary lymph node dissection who applied to the oncology center of a teaching and research hospital between April 1, 2022, and July 1, 2022, were included in the cross-sectional study. An individual identification form, the EQ-5D General Quality of Life Scale, and the Cancer Fatigue Scale were used to collect data. Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test, Bonferroni post hoc test, and Spearman's correlation were used to assess differences between the survivor groups. Results: The study found that 40.2% of breast cancer survivors experienced lymphedema. The mean scores on the EQ-5D index, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and Cancer Fatigue Scale were 0.27 ± 0.25, 71.12 ± 14.21, and 35.86 ± 6.98, respectively. The Cancer Fatigue Scale total score and the EQ-5D VAS showed a strong positive correlation (r = 0.630; p < 0.05). Conversely, the total Cancer Fatigue Scale and the EQ-5D VAS scores showed a significant negative correlation (r = -0.626; p < 0.05). Conclusions: The study found that almost half of the breast cancer survivors experienced lymphedema. They also had excellent general health, moderate fatigue, and a good overall QOL.

Abstract
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES Anxiety and depression result in a greater health burden; both can impact functionality and quality of life. This review aims to understand the association between anxiety, depression, functionality, and quality of life. Although three systematic reviews exist, one focuses on quality of life in depression and anxiety, while the others address functionality in depression and anxiety, with the former being more recent and the latter two being older. The association between these four variables will be explored. METHODS A literature search of MEDLINE with Full Text, CINHAL PLUS with Full Text, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, and Academic Search Complete was conducted from 1 January 2017 to 22 November 2022. Seven studies involving 2279 adults were included. RESULTS All studies analyzed the association between anxiety and/or depression with functionality and/or quality of life, in a population with a primary chronic condition. We found the higher functionality (return to work, no sedentary lifestyle, and no fatigue) and quality of life are, the lower the values of anxiety and depression will be. The HADS is a consensual instrument to access anxiety and depression, but the same cannot be said for assessing functionality and quality of life. CONCLUSIONS The severity of the chronic disease and the loss of functionality and quality of life seem to increase psychological distress. This study highlights the importance of a multidisciplinary and holistic approach, focusing not only on clinical outcomes but also on overall well-being. Further longitudinal research is needed to support the association between these variables to draw more concrete conclusions with scientific evidence.

Abstract
Purpose This study investigates the relationships between breast cancer survivors' return to work, health literacy, and cancer recurrence fear. By employing structural equation modeling, we examine the mediating effect of health literacy on the interplay between cancer recurrence fear and the ability to return to work. Patients and Methods We conducted a survey involving 190 breast cancer survivors, utilizing a general information questionnaire, the Concern About Recurrence Scale, and the Health Literacy Management Scale. Results Our findings indicate that only 54.2% of the participants successfully returned to work. Notably, health literacy was positively correlated with return to work (r=0.315, p<0.001), whereas fear of cancer recurrence was negatively correlated (r=-0.268, p<0.001). The mediation effect model demonstrated a good fit, confirming that health literacy partially mediates the relationship between cancer recurrence fear and return to work (β= -0.024, p< 0.001). Conclusion The findings highlight a concerning situation for breast cancer survivors regarding their return to work. Cancer recurrence fear significantly impacts their ability to re-enter the workforce, both directly and indirectly through health literacy. We recommend that healthcare providers focus on alleviating anxiety related to cancer recurrence and enhancing health literacy to support survivors in their reintegration into society.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Evidence suggests a deterioration of health-related quality of life (HRQL) after breast cancer diagnosis and therapy. This study examines sociodemographic and health-related factors that could be associated with the HRQL of working women with breast cancer during the first five years after primary surgery. Second, it explores potential vulnerable groups with respect to HRQL using decision tree analyses. METHODS Women diagnosed with breast cancer who had paid work at diagnosis were recruited at 11 breast cancer centers in the Hannover region, Germany, after primary surgery. Assessments took place four times. 455 patients completed mailed questionnaires at 3 weeks after primary surgery. Women were followed up at 6 months, 1 year and on average 5 years after primary surgery. The physical and mental wellbeing dimensions of HRQL were examined through the Short-Form health survey-12. Potential associations between HRQL and health and sociodemographic factors were examined using multiple linear regression. Classification tree analyses were applied to define specific vulnerable groups. RESULTS Mastectomy (ß=-2.49; CI:-4.67, -0.30) and chemotherapy (ß=-4.25; CI:-7.04, -1.46) as health related factors were significantly associated with poorer physical wellbeing at 3 weeks and 6 months after primary surgery, respectively. Returning to work (RTW) after having been on sick leave was strongly associated with better HRQL as illustrated by higher sum scores for physical (at 3 weeks: ß=6.21; CI:3.36, 9.05; at 6 months: ß=5.40; CI:3.01, 1.80; at 1 year: ß=8.40; CI:5.31, 11.49) and mental wellbeing (at 6 months: ß=6.03; CI:33.25, 8.81; at 1 year: ß=7.71; CI:4.85, 10.58) until 1 year after primary surgery. However, its significant effect was no more apparent at 5 years after primary surgery. At that stage, income was mostly associated with physical (ß=0.002; CI:0.0002, 0.003) and mental wellbeing (ß=0.002; CI:0.0005, 0.003) with higher summary scores for higher income especially in women aged ≤ 61 years. In addition, living with a partner appeared to be an important positively associated factor with better mental wellbeing in women with breast cancer (at 6 months: ß=3.68; CI: 0.72, 6.63; at 5 years: ß=2.85; CI:0.39, 5.32) and the first splitting node that defined vulnerability at 5 years. CONCLUSIONS HRQL in breast cancer appears to be a multidimensional phenomenon associated with disease, treatment and social factors. A special focus should be drawn to women with lower income and those not living with a partner when planning rehabilitation programs and strategies that aim to improve the long term HRQL in breast cancer. As RTW appeared to be positively associated with HRQL, future research should examine potential causal relationships between RTW and HRQL in breast cancer in order to provide evidence needed to plan prevention strategies that aim to improve HRQL after breast cancer.

Abstract
PURPOSE Breast cancer (BC) is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women. Approximately 40% of BC survivors are diagnosed during the peak years of their professional career. Women face numerous obstacles when returning to work (RTW) after BC. Their decision-making process and self-efficacy to overcome these barriers may undergo alterations. The objective of this study was to validate the Return-to-work Obstacles and Self-Efficacy Scale (ROSES) for BC survivors, with a focus on three psychometric properties: construct validity, test-retest reliability, and predictive validity. METHODS This prospective study consists of three phases: Phase 1 (baseline, during sick leave) was conducted to evaluate construct validity, Phase 2 (2 weeks later) assessed test-retest reliability, and Phase 3 (6-month follow-up, RTW or not) aimed to evaluate predictive validity. A total of 153 BC survivors participated in Phase 1 of the study, where they completed the 10 dimensions of the ROSES (e.g., fear of relapse, cognitive difficulties). Confirmatory factor analyses (CFA), Pearson correlations, and Cox regressions were performed, with respect to each phase. RESULTS The mean duration for RTW with the same employer was 62.7 weeks. CFAs confirmed the ROSES structure, which had previously been established for other health conditions, showing satisfactory coefficients. Significant Pearson correlation coefficients were observed between the ROSES dimensions from Phase 1 to Phase 2, ranging from 0.66 to 0.88. When considering various confounding variables, chemotherapy treatment and cognitive difficulties (ROSES dimension) emerged as the only significant predictors of RTW. CONCLUSION These findings support the utilization of the ROSES in clinical and research settings for BC survivors to improve their successful RTW. After an initial screening using the ROSES, occupational health professionals can further conduct a focused and thorough evaluation of specific dimensions, such as cognitive difficulties. Additional research and information are required to assist BC survivors in dealing with cognitive impairments induced by chemotherapy when they return to work.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study aims to investigate the Readiness for Return-to-Work (RRTW) of patients with head and neck tumours and to analyse the relationships among self-efficacy, disease uncertainty, psychosocial adaptation, and RRTW in head and neck cancer (HNC) patients. METHODS A cross-sectional study was conducted with 259 HNC patients with a discharge length of ≥1 month at a tertiary hospital in Liaoning Province. The research tools included a self-designed general information questionnaire, the Readiness for Return-to-Work (RRTW) Scale, the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), the Mishel Uncertainty in Illness Scale (MUIS), and the Self-Reporting Psychosocial Adjustment to Illness Scale (PAIS-SR). Descriptive statistical analysis, the rank sum test, Spearman correlation analysis, and ordered multiple and dichotomous logistic regression analyses were used. RESULTS The overall RRTW among HNC patients was low (41.9%). HNC patients who did not return to work were mainly in the precontemplation stage (38.1%) and contemplation stage (29.9%). HNC patients who returned to work were mainly in the active maintenance stage (64.2%). Children's status (OR = 0.218, 95% CI 0.068-0.703), self-efficacy (OR = 1.213, 95% CI 1.012-1.454), unpredictability (OR = 0.845, 95% CI 0.720-0.990), occupational environment (OR = 0.787, 95% CI 0.625-0.990), and family environment (OR = 0.798, 95% CI 0.643-0.990) influence the RRTW of HNC patients who have not returned to work. Educational level (OR = 62.196, 95% CI 63.307-68.567), children's status (OR = 0.058, 95% CI 1.004-2.547), self-efficacy (OR = 1.544, 95% CI 3.010-8.715), unpredictability (OR = 0.445, 95% CI 1.271-2.280), and psychological status (OR = 0.340, 95% CI 1.141-2.401) influence the RRTW of HNC patients who have returned to work. CONCLUSION Children's status, education level, self-efficacy, illness uncertainty, and psychosocial adjustment are crucial to RRTW. This study provides a theoretical basis for formulating intervention measures aimed at improving the RRTW of patients.

Abstract
Return to work (RTW) after breast cancer (BC) may significantly impact on women recovery and quality of life. Literature hightlighed several factors associated to RTW after BC but there is still some concern about prognostic factors influencing work resumption after BC treatments. The present study aims to explore which baseline factors are associated with RTW at 6-month after BC surgery. The participants in this 6-month prospective study were 149 patients who underwent breast cancer-related surgery and accessed an Oncology Clinic for cancer therapy from March 2017 to December 2019 in Northern Italy. Participants filled in a battery of questionnaires at baseline, and they were asked whether they had returned to work at 6-month follow-up. Psychological measurements included job stress (Job Content Questionnaire), work engagement (Utrecht Work Engagement Scale), quality of life (World Health Organization Quality of Life- BREF), anxiety and depression (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale), resilience (Connor - Davidson Resilience Scale - 10 item) and personal expectations about RTW (ad-hoc single item). Moreover, sociodemographic, clinical, and work-related data were collected. Independent t-test and Chi-square test were used for comparisons among variables; logistic regression model was used to explore predictors of RTW. A total of 73.9 percent returned to work at6-month after surgery. In the multivariate model, chemiotherapy (B = -1.428; SE = 0.520) and baseline women's expectations about their RTW (B = -0.340; DS = 0.156) were significant predictors of RTW. These results suggest that careful individual clinical and psychological screening of risk factors at baseline can prevent from occupational disability and long sickness absence.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Improving healthy lifestyle behaviors in breast cancer survivors can promote their physical and mental health, thereby reducing the risk of cancer recurrence. Therefore, it is crucial to identify and control the factors affecting healthy lifestyle behaviors among breast cancer survivors. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to examine the effects of physiological, psychological, and situational factors and symptoms on healthy lifestyle behaviors in breast cancer survivors. METHODS Data were collected from August to September 2021, and a questionnaire was administered through an online breast cancer patient community's bulletin board. Finally, 162 questionnaires were included in the analysis. RESULTS The model was statistically significant, explaining 33.2% of the variance. A decrease in healthy lifestyle behaviors in breast cancer survivors was influenced by an age of 40 years or younger, 5 years or more since a breast cancer diagnosis, low income, fear of cancer recurrence, and fatigue. CONCLUSIONS Intervention strategies, such as easily accessible online content that accounts for age and survival period after cancer diagnosis, should be used to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors among breast cancer survivors. Healthcare providers should be given appropriate guidelines on managing patients' fear of cancer recurrence and reducing fatigue to ensure timely access to clinical interventions. Adequate financial support from local communities and governments is needed to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE To improve breast cancer survivors' healthy lifestyle behaviors, an understanding of the influencing factors and a multidimensional approach are required. Nurses play a role in developing and implementing interventions to improve healthy lifestyle behaviors.

Abstract
PURPOSE Despite extensive research on cancer and work-related outcomes, evidence from longitudinal cohort studies is limited, especially in young women with breast cancer (BC). We aimed to investigate employment trajectories in young BC survivors and to identify potential factors associated with changes in work activity. METHODS The HOHO European prospective multicenter cohort study enrolled 300 young women (≤ 40 years) with newly diagnosed BC. Women completed surveys at baseline and every 6 months for 3 years, then yearly for up to 10 years to assess, among other variables, employment status, sociodemographic, medical, and treatment data. Symptoms were assessed by the Breast Cancer Prevention Trial symptom scales and single items from the Cancer Rehabilitation Evaluation System. Univariable and multivariable multinomial logistic regression analyses identified factors associated with changes in employment status. RESULTS Among the 245 women included in this analysis, 85% were employed at the last individual post-baseline assessment (1 to 10 years). At 5 years, women had a 29.4% probability (95% CI: 23.6-35.5) of experiencing any reduction and a 14.9% probability (95% CI: 10.6-19.9) of experiencing any increase in work activities. Being enrolled in Switzerland (vs. Italy) and reporting more trouble in performing daily activities were significantly associated with work reduction. CONCLUSION Our results suggest that most young BC survivors remain employed in the long-term. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS Regular evaluation of symptoms which may interfere with daily life and identification of financial discomfort is critical in providing timely and individually tailored interventions and in limiting unwanted reductions in work activities.

Abstract
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of work life on work stress and quality of life in cancer patients returning to work after treatment. METHODS This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted between January 2021 and June 2021 with 302 cancer patients who ad registered at the oncology outpatient clinic of a university hospital and had started or continued work after treatment. Data were collected using a personal information questionnaire, the Perceived Work Stress Scale, and the EORTC QLQ-C30. Results with p < 0.05 were considered statistically significant. RESULTS The mean age of the patients was 44.97 ± 10.08 years. They were predominantly women, had a diagnosis of breast cancer, and had received chemotherapy. The patients' perceived work stress score was 2.10 ± 0.68 (level D) and the EORTC QLQ-C30 score was 65.95 ± 20.11. Women, participants who were worried about their jobs, those who worked >36 months after cancer treatment, public and private sector workers, those who considered leaving their jobs after cancer treatment, and those who considered changing jobs had higher work stress scores. CONCLUSIONS The results of this study suggest that perceived work stress negatively affects the quality of life in individuals returning to work after cancer treatment. Therefore, individuals should be supported in returning to work and subsequent phases, and future should focus on the concepts of rehabilitation and return to work.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE to cross-culturally adapt and assess the content validity evidence of the Cognitive Symptom Checklist-Work-21 for the Brazilian context. METHOD a psychometric study of cross-cultural adaptation, covering the stages of translation, reconciliation, back-translation, intercultural equivalence assessment and content validity evidence analysis, considering Content Validity Ratio parameters in breast cancer survivors. RESULTS the translations were equivalent to the original version. Colloquial expressions were modified, tense, verbal adjusted, and two items containing multiple commands were separated. The final version now contains 22 items, presenting semantic, conceptual, idiomatic and experimental equivalences. The pre-test indicated good understanding and ease in the response process. CONCLUSION the final version was defined as "Lista de verificação de sintomas cognitivos relacionados ao trabalho - 22 itens", showing good linguistic equivalence and strong evidence of content validity in the Brazilian context.

Abstract
Introduction: Oxygen consumption (VO2) is indicative of cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) and lower levels are related to a higher risk of total mortality among individuals with cancer whose therapy can have adverse consequences on the cardiovascular system. Objective: To examine the associations of patient-reported sociodemographic, clinical, anthropometric outcomes and functional variables with CRF in 69 women (55±10 years) and to identify whether walking is a predictor of peak VO2 variation in this population with breast cancer (BC). Method: Female BC survivors receiving hormone therapy after two types of surgery (breast-conserving and mastectomy) underwent a CRF test on a cycle ergometer to measure peak VO2. A questionnaire containing sociodemographic, clinical data, patient reported outcomes (PROs) (depressive symptoms, sleep quality, fatigue, body image) and self-reported walking and tests to measure body fat percentage, waist circumference, flexibility and shoulder range of motion (RoM) were performed. Results: Unemployment and retirement were associated with low CRF, as was the use of aromatase inhibitors instead of tamoxifen. Depressive symptoms, worse body image, greater waist circumference, less flexibility and shoulder RoM were also associated with low CRF. Walking duration, controlled for age and body mass index (BMI), is a 13% predictor of peak VO2 variance in this sample. Conclusion: These factors must be considered in understanding the CRF profile of BC survivors. As walking was a predictor of peak VO2 variance, it should be recommended as a type of physical activity for patients with BC using hormone therapy.

Abstract
The incidence of cancer in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) is increasing yearly and is expected to reach 2.4 million new cases by 2040, with a more pronounced effect in Central America and South America. In addition, cancer is already the most frequent cause of premature death for most countries in LAC, and the second cause of death independent of country socioeconomic status, clearly demonstrating that the cancer burden in LAC should be addressed now rather than considered as an issue to be dealt with in the future. LAC countries performed in a mid-range zone in terms of income and mortality-to-incidence ratio compared to other countries globally. The LAC continent has, in general, a median income per capita and a median availability of radiotherapy (RDT) machines per capita. Patients that have private health coverage are more likely to receive preventive care such as pap smears and mammography in many countries of the LAC. The human development index was negatively related to mortality from oral cancer in the LAC countries with medium and low Human Development Index (HDI). Cancer treatment adverse events can negatively affect survivors' workability compromising their return to work after diagnosis. In conclusion, the cancer burden can be a major public health issue with a considerable socioeconomic impact in LAC countries. It is demonstrated in several studies that unequal access to optimal care is frequent in LAC and that health insurance type may impact patients' diagnosis and outcome.

Abstract
BACKGROUND There is a growing number of breast cancer survivors from improved cancer treatments. However, treatments often impair upper limb function, specifically range of motion and strength, reducing quality of life and function. The primary purpose of this study was to quantify differences in strength and range of motion following treatment. The secondary purpose aimed to measure the activation of each upper limb muscle in the completion of tasks. METHODS 29 breast cancer survivors were categorized into two groups based on time-since-treatment: 1) up to 1-year post-treatment, and 2) 1 to 2 years post-treatment. Participants completed maximal strength and range of motion tasks. During trials eight muscles were monitored bilaterally. Maximal force output was taken during strength trials, and kinematics were monitored during range of motion trials. A 2 by 2 mixed ANOVA (limb (affected, unaffected) x time-since-treatment) examined interaction and main effects of these factors on task peak force, angle and mean activation. FINDINGS Time-since-treatment influenced strength (flexion, extension, internal and external rotation) and range of motion (flexion, scapular abduction), wherein the group further from treatment had 11.5-15.5° less range of motion and 27.7-43.6 N less force production. A main effect of time-since-treatment influenced muscular behaviours during both tasks, where activation was higher in the group 1-2 years from treatment. INTERPRETATION Effects of treatment may manifest in a delayed manner whereby strength and range of motion are reduced in breast cancer survivors to a greater extent in those who are past 1 year of treatment cessation.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Aim of the study was to compare working and non-working patients over a period of 12 months regarding socio-demographic, cancer-specific and mental health parameters. METHODS This study was conducted as part of a Germany-wide longitudinal survey among 1398 patients in 13 national Comprehensive Cancer Centers. The sample used for analysis consisted of n = 430 cancer patients younger than 65 years (age M = 52.4 years, SD = 8.1; 67.0% females). Socio-demographic, cancer-specific and mental health parameters (Depression: Patient Health Questionnaire, Anxiety: Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale, Distress: Distress Thermometer) were assessed at baseline during hospitalization and at 12 months follow-up. RESULTS 73.7% of all patients (n = 317) have returned to work after one year. While working and non-working patients did not differ in socio-demographic parameters, there were significant differences in the presence of metastases, tumor and treatment status. Mixed analysis of variances revealed significant interactions between working status and time for depression (p = 0.009), anxiety (p = 0.003) and distress (p = 0.007). Non-working patients reported higher levels of depression, anxiety and distress than working patients over time. A logistic regression showed significant associations between lower depression (p = 0.019), lower distress (p = 0.033) and the absence of a tumor (p = 0.015) with working status. CONCLUSIONS The majority of cancer survivors returned to work. Non-working patients had higher levels of depression, anxiety and distress than working patients. After controlling for cancer-specific factors, mental health parameters were still independently associated with working status. Return to work can thus be associated with an improved mental health in cancer survivors. In order to establish causality, further research is necessary.

Abstract
This study aimed to explore the relationship between self-esteem and mental adjustment and examine the directional effects in patients with breast cancer using path modeling. This was a cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational study. A total of 128 patients with breast cancer were selected through convenience sampling at a medical center in northern Taiwan. They completed a basic characteristics questionnaire, the Memorial Symptom Assessment Scale short form, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, and the mini-Mental Adjustment to Cancer Scale. Descriptive statistics, regression analysis, and path analysis were used to analyze the data. The results showed that higher self-esteem was associated with better mental adjustment (β = 0.9, 95% confidence interval 0.6~1.3, p < 0.001). Age, religious beliefs, employment, cancer stage, and symptom distress were correlated with mental adjustment. Path modeling demonstrated that self-esteem, cancer stage, performance status, and symptom distress directly affected mental adjustment in patients with breast cancer. These findings suggest that health professionals should evaluate self-esteem, performance status, and symptom distress in patients with breast cancer immediately upon admission. This can facilitate early implementation of relevant nursing interventions and, consequently, improve self-esteem and symptom distress and increase mental adjustment in these patients.

Factors associated with returning to work and work ability of colorectal cancer survivors. Support Care Cancer 2021; 30:2349-2357. Abstract
PURPOSE The objective of this current study was to describe the status of returning to work and work ability of colorectal cancer survivors and identify the key factors associated with returning to work and work ability of Chinese colorectal cancer patients. METHODS A cross-sectional observational study was performed in 212 colorectal cancer survivors who have worked before their colorectal cancer diagnosis. We evaluated patient's return to work (Yes/No), work ability, and factors by questionnaires of the Work Ability Index (WAI), M. D. Anderson Symptom Inventory for Gastrointestinal (MDASI-GI), and the Self-Report Psychosocial Adjustment to Illness Scale (PAIS-SR). Logistic regression analysis and linear regression were used to find the potential predictors with returning to work and work ability. RESULTS Participants mostly 145 have returned to work (68.4%). Work ability and psychosocial adjustment of colorectal cancer survivors were at a moderate level. After completing treatment, the patient still had many symptoms, and these symptoms were distress to live. In the two models, survivors with higher family monthly income per capita and lower psychosocial adjustment scores were more likely to have higher work ability and return to work. Survivors with lower symptom distress were more likely to have higher work ability (r = - 0.038, p = 0.010). Survivors with higher work ability were more likely to return to work (OR = 1.193, 95% CI = (1.116,1.274)). CONCLUSION This study confirmed that symptom distress and psychosocial adjustment were significantly associated with colorectal cancer survivors' returning to work and work ability, which should be considered in future intervention research.

Abstract
PURPOSE To understand the evolution of coping among women diagnosed with breast cancer over time, and the effect of age and family income on coping. METHOD Using a phenomenological qualitative study, data was collected through semi-structured interviews with sixteen women in a hospital in Barcelona (Spain) between January 2018 and June 2019. An analysis of thematic content and discursive profile was carried out, assisted by the Nvivo v.12 program. RESULTS Coping strategies change according to the meaning of breast cancer in each phase and the age and family income. In the acute phase, multiple coping strategies are identified, and this variety was more frequent among the young women in the study. In the extended phase, planning, distancing, and seeking social support become important. The latter used during treatment by older women in the study, regardless of family income. In the follow-up phase, distancing stands out, but also the search for social support among young women with fewer resources. CONCLUSIONS Coping with breast cancer evolves according to the meaning that the disease receives in each phase. In addition, the analysis by discursive profile shows how the social support context is also related to the coping strategies in each phase.

Abstract
Due to advances in medical science and technology, the number of cancer survivors continues to increase. The workplace needs and employment difficulties cancer survivors face after treatment need to be addressed to protect these individuals’ right to work and to maintain the overall labor force of the country. We conducted a retrospective cohort study with a follow-up period from 2004 to 2010. All data analyzed in the study were obtained from the Labor Insurance Database, the Taiwan Cancer Registry of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the National Health Insurance Research Database. The relationships between risk factors and the presence of returning to work were analyzed by a Cox proportional hazard model. The survival rates of patients with different cancer stages were evaluated using Kaplan–Meier survival analysis. Among the employees with an initial diagnosis of cancer, 70.4% remained employed through 1 year after the diagnosis, accounting for 83.4% of all cancer survivors; only 51.1% remained employed through 5 years after the diagnosis, accounting for 78.7% of all cancer survivors, a notable decrease. Age, gender, salary, treatment method, company size, and cancer stage were the factors that affected whether employees could return to work or not. The long-term survival of people diagnosed with cancer depends on their chances of returning to work. Strengthening existing return-to-work policies and assisting cancer survivors with returning to work after the treatment should be priorities for protecting these individuals’ right to work and for maintaining the overall labor force.

Abstract
Purpose To assess the status of returning to work (RTW) following breast cancer treatment and to explore its associated factors among female patients. Methods Four-hundred-forty-two eligible patients admitted in a tertiary hospital since 2012 were followed up in 2018. Information about working status after treatment, date of RTW or reason for not RTW was obtained during a 30-min interview. Patients’ sociodemographic, disease, and treatment characteristics were retrieved from the hospital record. Overall prevalence rate and probability of RTW during the follow-up were estimated using Kaplan–Meier method. Factors associated with RTW were identified using regression analyses. Results Three-hundred-ninety-six patients (89.6%) completed the follow-up. The median follow-up was 31 months. Among them, 141 patents (35.6%) RTW of whom 68.1% (n = 96) were back within 12 months after cancer treatment. The reported reasons for not RTW included: prolonged fatigue, low self-esteem, lack of support from family and working unit, or voluntarily quitting. Patients aged under 50 years, being single, having higher level of education, not having extensive axillary node procedure, or without any comorbidities were more likely to RTW. Conclusion The rate of RTW after cancer treatment in this cohort was lower than those reported in others. Both personal and treatment factors were associated with RTW.

Abstract
The study aimed to identify and compare the factors affecting health-related quality of life (HRQoL) depending on the occupational status of cancer survivors. This study was a secondary data analysis from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) from 2014 to 2018. Hierarchical multivariate linear regression was used to investigate the factors affecting the HRQoL of each group. Non-working cancer survivors had significantly lower HRQoL than working cancer survivors (p < 0.001). A hierarchical multiple regression model showed that demographic, health-related, and psychological characteristics explained 62.0% of non-working cancer survivors' HRQoL (F = 4.29, p < 0.001). Among the input variables, health-related characteristics were the most influential factors (ΔR2 = 0.274, F = 9.84, p < 0.001). For working cancer survivors, health-related characteristics were the only variable that was statistically associated with HRQoL (F = 5.556, p < 0.001). It is important to enhance physical activities and manage the chronic disease to improve the HRQoL of working cancer survivors. Further, managing health-related characteristics, including depressive symptoms and suicidal ideation, is necessary for non-working cancer survivors. Regarding working survivors, psychological factors such as depressive symptoms and suicidal tendencies did not affect HRQoL. Therefore, an early and effective return to work program should be developed for the improvement of their HRQoL.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE We aimed to determine the longitudinal prevalence and the predictors of sickness absence (SA) and disability pension (DP) in breast cancer (BC) women who eventually developed relapse. METHODS A total of 1293 BC women, who were ages 20-63 years, diagnosed between 1996 and 2011 and by 2016 had all developed relapse, were identified in Swedish registers and were followed from two years before to five years after their primary diagnosis, while they were relapse-free. Annual prevalence of SA and DP was calculated. Logistic regression was used to estimate adjusted odds ratios (AOR) for long-term SA (>30 days) at one (y1) and three (y3) years post-diagnosis. RESULTS Prevalence of long-term SA was 68.1% in y1 and 16.3% in y5. Prevalence of DP progressively increased from 16.3% in y1 to 29.0% in y5. Predictors of long-term SA included age <50 years (y1:AOR = 1.79 [1.39-2.29]), TNM stage III (y1:AOR = 1.54 [1.03-2.31]; y3:AOR = 2.21 [1.32-3.72]), metastasis (y1:AOR = 1.64 [1.26-2.12]; y3:AOR = 1.51 [1.05-2.18]), comorbidity (y1:AOR = 2.41 [1.55-3.76]; y3 AOR = 4.62 [2.49-8.57]) and any combination of radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormonal therapy (y1:AOR = 2.05-5.71). CONCLUSION Among BC women who later developed relapse, those who had higher stages of BC, had comorbidity and received neoadjuvant and/or adjuvant therapy were at significantly higher risk of needing long-term SA after their diagnosis.

Abstract
This study aimed to understand the trends in research on the quality of life of returning to work (RTW) cancer survivors using text network analysis. Titles and abstracts of each article were examined to extract terms, including "cancer survivors", "return to work", and "quality of life", which were found in 219 articles published between 1990 and June 2020. Python and Gephi software were used to analyze the data and visualize the networks. Keyword ranking was based on the frequency, degree centrality, and betweenness centrality. The keywords commonly ranked at the top included "breast", "patients", "rehabilitation", "intervention", "treatment", and "employment". Clustering results by grouping nodes with high relevance in the network led to four clusters: "participants and method", "type of research and variables", "RTW and education in adolescent and young adult cancer survivors", and "rehabilitation program". This study provided a visualized overview of the research on cancer survivors' RTW and quality of life. These findings contribute to the understanding of the flow of the knowledge structure of the existing research and suggest directions for future research.
