Machine learning-based predictions and analyses of the creep rupture life of the Ni-based single crystal superalloy

The evaluation of creep rupture life is complex due to its variable formation mechanism. In this paper, machine learning algorithms are applied to explore the creep rupture life span as a function of 27 physical properties to address this issue. By training several classical machine learning models and comparing their prediction performance, XGBoost is finally selected as the predictive model for creep rupture life. Moreover, we introduce an interpretable method, Shapley additive explanations (SHAP), to explain the creep rupture life predicted by the XGBoost model. The SHAP values are then calculated, and the feature importance of the creep rupture life yielded by the XGBoost model is discussed. Finally, the creep fracture life is optimized by using the chaotic sparrow optimization algorithm. We then show that our proposed method can accurately predict and optimize creep properties in a cheaper and faster way than other approaches in the experiments. The proposed method can also be used to optimize the material design across various engineering domains.

LSTMDD: an optimized LSTM-based drift detector for concept drift in dynamic cloud computing

This study aims to investigate the problem of concept drift in cloud computing and emphasizes the importance of early detection for enabling optimum resource utilization and offering an effective solution. The analysis includes synthetic and real-world cloud datasets, stressing the need for appropriate drift detectors tailored to the cloud domain. A modified version of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) called the LSTM Drift Detector (LSTMDD) is proposed and compared with other top drift detection techniques using prediction error as the primary evaluation metric. LSTMDD is optimized to improve performance in detecting anomalies in non-Gaussian distributed cloud environments. The experiments show that LSTMDD outperforms other methods for gradual and sudden drift in the cloud domain. The findings suggest that machine learning techniques such as LSTMDD could be a promising approach to addressing the problem of concept drift in cloud computing, leading to more efficient resource allocation and improved performance.

HyproBert: A Fake News Detection Model Based on Deep Hypercontext

News media agencies are known to publish misinformation, disinformation, and propaganda for the sake of money, higher news propagation, political influence, or other unfair reasons. The exponential increase in the use of social media has also contributed to the frequent spread of fake news. This study extends the concept of symmetry into deep learning approaches for advanced natural language processing, thereby improving the identification of fake news and propaganda. A hybrid HyproBert model for automatic fake news detection is proposed in this paper. To begin, the proposed HyproBert model uses DistilBERT for tokenization and word embeddings. The embeddings are provided as input to the convolution layer to highlight and extract the spatial features. Subsequently, the output is provided to BiGRU to extract the contextual features. The CapsNet, along with the self-attention layer, proceeds to the output of BiGRU to model the hierarchy relationship among the spatial features. Finally, a dense layer is implemented to combine all the features for classification. The proposed HyproBert model is evaluated using two fake news datasets (ISOT and FA-KES). As a result, HyproBert achieved a higher performance compared to other baseline and state-of-the-art models.

Management work mode of college students based on emotional management and incentives

The student management work model in colleges and universities is an effective plan for college student management, but the traditional college student management work is not very good in terms of student psychology, resulting in negative attitudes such as low learning desire, low learning efficiency, and inactive learning. In recent years, with the development of artificial intelligence technologies such as sentiment analysis and incentive theory, emotional management and incentive theory have been applied to the management of college students. The emotional management and incentive model is a way to help college students get rid of psychological obstacles and guide students to establish positive and correct values by predict and analyze the psychological state of college students through language emotion recognition and BP neural network. This paper compares the college student management work model based on emotional management and incentives with the traditional college management work mode through experiments. The results show that the students’ learning enthusiasm is better than the traditional college student management work mode based on emotional management and incentives. The student management work model in colleges and universities is 15.8% better, and the students’ grades have improved by 12.5%; the college student management work model based on emotional management and incentives also has a positive role in helping students’ mental health. The way of emotional management and motivation can make better use of college students’ psychology to effectively manage students and guide students to develop in a good direction.

The Influence of Teacher Discipline on Teaching Effect and Students' Psychology in Universities and the Normative Suggestions for Discipline Behavior

In today’s educational environment, with the popularization of laws, more and more students pay attention to the maintenance of their own rights. However, due to the misinterpretation of punishment, it is very easy to mistake teacher punishment for “corporal punishment.” Therefore, it is particularly important to investigate the impact of teacher discipline on students. This paper first collects some knowledge related to the research based on the research results of scholars, and then makes a detailed analysis of this research from two aspects. It, respectively, introduces the influence of teacher discipline on teaching effect and students’ psychology in universities, and the normative suggestions for discipline behavior in this paper. It then uses formulas to explain how the teaching and learning optimization algorithm works. Finally, it analyzes the changes among teachers’ discipline, students’ psychology, and coping style through experiments. The results showed that urban students had the highest probability of being disciplined for being late, at 53%, and the lowest probability of being disciplined for not completing homework, at 34%.

Investigating Multi-Level Semantic Extraction with Squash Capsules for Short Text Classification

At present, short text classification is a hot topic in the area of natural language processing. Due to the sparseness and irregularity of short text, the task of short text classification still faces great challenges. In this paper, we propose a new classification model from the aspects of short text representation, global feature extraction and local feature extraction. We use convolutional networks to extract shallow features from short text vectorization, and introduce a multi-level semantic extraction framework. It uses BiLSTM as the encoding layer while the attention mechanism and normalization are used as the interaction layer. Finally, we concatenate the convolution feature vector and semantic results of the semantic framework. After several rounds of feature integration, the framework improves the quality of the feature representation. Combined with the capsule network, we obtain high-level local information by dynamic routing and then squash them. In addition, we explore the optimal depth of semantic feature extraction for short text based on a multi-level semantic framework. We utilized four benchmark datasets to demonstrate that our model provides comparable results. The experimental results show that the accuracy of SUBJ, TREC, MR and ProcCons are 93.8%, 91.94%, 82.81% and 98.43%, respectively, which verifies that our model has greatly improves classification accuracy and model robustness.
