New aggregation operators of single-valued neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy set and their application in multi-attribute decision making

Development of neutrosophic cubic hesitant fuzzy exponential aggregation operators with application in environmental protection problems

The population growth and urbanization has caused an exponential increase in waste material. The proper disposal of waste is a challenging problem nowadays. The proper disposal site selection with typical sets and operators may not yield fruitful results. To handle such problems, the exponential aggregation operators based on neutrosophic cubic hesitant fuzzy sets are proposed. For appropriate decisions in a decision-making problem, it is important to have a handy environment and aggregation operators. Many multi attribute decision making methods often ignore the uncertainty and hence yields the results which are not reliable. The neutrosophic cubic hesitant fuzzy set can efficiently handle the complex information in a decision-making problem, as it combines the advantages of neutrosophic cubic set and hesitant fuzzy set. In this paper first we establish exponential operational laws in neutrosophic cubic hesitant fuzzy sets, in which the exponents are neutrosophic cubic hesitant fuzzy numbers and bases are positive real numbers. In order to use neutrosophic cubic hesitant fuzzy sets in decision making, we are developing exponential aggregation operators and investigate their properties in the current study. In many multi expert decision-making methods there are different decision matrices but same weighting vector for attributes. The results of a multi expert decision-making problem becomes more reliable if every decision expert has its own decision matrix along with his own weighting vector for attributes. In this study, we are developing multi expert decision-making method that uses different weights for an attribute corresponding to different experts. At the end we present two applications of exponential aggregation operators in environmental protection multi attribute decision making problems.

Neutrosophic QUALIFLEX based on neutrosophic hesitancy index for selecting a potential antivirus mask supplier over COVID-19 pandemic

In order to handle simultaneously the cardinal and ordinal information in decision-making process, QUALIFLEX (QUALItative FLEXible multiple criteria method) is a very well-known decision-making approach. In this work, we extend the classical QUALIFLEX method to neutrosophic environment and develop a neutrosophic QUALIFLEX (N-QUALIFLEX) method that uses the newly defined distance-based comparison approach. It is highly effective in solving multi-criteria decision problems in which both ratings of alternatives on criteria and weights of criteria are single-valued neutrosophic numbers (SVNNs), and their aggregated values are single-valued neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy numbers (SVNHFNs). A neutrosophic hesitancy index (NHI) of a SVNHN is introduced based on degrees of the truth-membership, indeterminacy-membership and falsity-membership, which is used to measure the degree of hesitancy of SVNHN. Considering the NHIS of SVNHFNs, we propose a distance-based comparison approach to determine the magnitude of the SVNHFNs. Then, we apply the comparison approach to define the concordance/discordance index, the weighted concordance/discordance index and the comprehensive concordance/discordance index that are steps of the developed N-QUALIFLEX. By taking all possible permutations of alternatives with respect to the level of concordance/discordance into account, we determine the order of alternatives in final decision. Finally, a practical example on antivirus mask selection over the COVID-19 pandemic is provided to present the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed method, and a comparative study is conducted to show the advantages of the proposed method over other existing methods.

Topological Structure of Single-Valued Neutrosophic Hesitant Fuzzy Sets and Data Analysis for Uncertain Supply Chains

From production to retail, the food supply chain (FSC) encompasses all stages of food production. Food is now transmitted across continents over long ranges. People depend on supply chains for basic necessities such as food, water, drinks, etc. Any disruption in these shipment pipelines poses a serious threat to human life. Supplier selection (SS) has been identified as a crucial component of FSC, which has been contemplated as a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem in many studies. The failure of some specific MCDM problems is due to failure in contemplating the relationships between alternatives under uncertain circumstances. To address such challenges, we present a contemporary method for designating green suppliers based on single-valued neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy (SVNHF) information, in which the input assessment is taken into account using single-valued neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy numbers (SVNHFNs). The foremost purpose of this analysis is to construct a topological structure on single-valued neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy sets (SVNHFSs) as well as to validate several key properties with examples. We discuss certain properties of SVNHF topology such as the SVNHF closure, SVNHF interior, SVNHF exterior, and SVNHF frontier. We also examine the conceptualization of the SVNHF dense set and SVNHF base in SVNHF topology using comprehensive examples. Eventually, to demonstrate and validate the superiority and inferiority ranking (SIR) method and choice value (CV) method in terms of their rationality and scientific basis, a real-world example of supplier selection in a food supply chain is provided. A comparative analysis is also performed to discuss the symmetry, validity and advantage of the proposed techniques.

A Further Study on Multiperiod Health Diagnostics Methodology under a Single-Valued Neutrosophic Set

Employing the concept and function of tangency with similarity measures and counterpart distances for reliable medical consultations has been extensively studied in the past decades and results in lots of isomorphic measures for application. We compared the majority of such isomorphic measures proposed by various researchers and classified them into (a) maximum norm and (b) one-norm categories. Moreover, we found that previous researchers used monotonic functions to transform an identity function and resulted in complicated expressions. In this study, we provide a theoretical foundation to explain the isomorphic nature of a newer measure proposed by the following research paper against its studied existing one in deriving the same pattern recognition results. Specifically, this study initially proposes two similarity measures using maximum norm, arithmetic mean, and aggregation operators and followed by a detailed discussion on their mathematical characteristics. Subsequently, a simplified version of such measures is presented for easy application. This study completely covers two previous methods to point out that the complex approaches used were unnecessary. The findings will help physicians, patients, and their family members to obtain a proper medical diagnosis during multiple examinations.

Generalization of Maximizing Deviation and TOPSIS Method for MADM in Simplified Neutrosophic Hesitant Fuzzy Environment

With the development of the social economy and enlarged volume of information, the application of multiple-attribute decision-making (MADM) has become increasingly complex, uncertain, and obscure. As a further generalization of hesitant fuzzy set (HFS), simplified neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy set (SNHFS) is an efficient tool to process the vague information and contains the ideas of a single-valued neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy set (SVNHFS) and an interval neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy set (INHFS). In this paper, we propose a decision-making approach based on the maximizing deviation method and TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) to solve the MADM problems, in which the attribute weight information is incomplete, and the decision information is expressed in simplified neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy elements. Firstly, we inaugurate an optimization model on the basis of maximizing deviation method, which is useful to determine the attribute weights. Secondly, using the idea of the TOPSIS, we determine the relative closeness coefficient of each alternative and based on which we rank the considered alternatives to select the optimal one(s). Finally, we use a numerical example to show the detailed implementation procedure and effectiveness of our method in solving MADM problems under simplified neutrosophic hesitant fuzzy environment.
