It is important to consider its underlying safety hazards because of its strong magnetic and radio frequency fields. Multiple resources are available to guide radiology departments on the safe functioning of an MRI site. Four-zone site layout, MR compatibility labeling, MR personnel training, detailed screening process, access control, and appropriate implementation of safety policies and procedures are all necessary to maintain a safe and hazard-free MR environment.
