Abstract
Emerging technology developments and functions of the Internet of Things (IoT) in industrial systems are leading the development of the Industrial IoT (IIoT). Greener, i.e., cleaner environmental goals can be achieved by putting green IIoT (GIIoT) into practice. This research aims to explore the reasons for the adoption of GIIoT in organizational decision-making and to explore its impact on organizational performance. The proposed research model was tested by collecting data through a structured questionnaire. The findings suggest that institutional isomorphism has a positive impact on the adoption of GIIoT. Moreover, GIIoT is positively associated with green innovation (GI) practices (e.g., product, process, and management) that lead to organizational performance. The potential impact of various types of institutional isomorphism described in this study can help organizations better comprehend the institutional pressures they enforce and/or appease their stakeholders, especially as they adopt GIIoT, to manage production issues and potential compliance pressures in the process.

Abstract
This paper aims to empirically examine the impact of institutional pressure on green supply chain management (GSCM) efforts and the moderating role of big data analytics capabilities (BDAC) on organizational performance. This study greatly develops a research model by integrating institutional theory, the natural resource-based view (NRBV), and dynamic capability theory to explore this relationship. This article is based on structured questionnaire data of 347 supply chain personnel. We employed structural equation modeling to verify the research hypotheses. The findings provide empirical support for institutional pressures affecting GSCM efforts and organizational performance. The results also showed that the moderating effect of BDAC positively strengthened the impact of GSCM effort on organizational performance. The findings extend and refine the existing GSCM literature, providing new insights for scholars to explore this view further. Practitioners can turn their attention to incorporating institutional pressures and advanced technologies into organizational decision-making, even in times of crisis such as Covid-19.

Abstract
PurposeThe compounding impacts of climate change has mobilised unstinting endeavours of researchers, ecologists and corporate leaders to explore new ways for the logistics industry to manage environmental problems, improve social outcomes and gain competitive advantage. The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediation roles of inbound green logistics practices and outbound green logistics practices between eco-market orientation, green value competitiveness and social sustainability.Design/methodology/approachBy employing explanatory research design, with questionnaire-based survey, data for the study was collected from Ghanaian logistics firms. The data is analysed using the partial least square structural equation modelling.FindingsThe results indicate that eco-market orientation has a significant positive impact on green value competitiveness. However, eco-market orientation was found to have an insignificant impact on social sustainability. The results further confirmed the notion that eco-market orientation substantially strengthens the implementation of inbound green logistics practices and outbound green logistics practices. Specifically, the mediation analysis confirmed that inbound green logistics practices and outbound green logistics practices serve as indirect mechanisms through which eco-market orientation significantly influences green value competitiveness and social sustainability.Originality/valueCompared to previous literature, this is a pioneer study that develops an explanatory research framework under the lenses of the natural resource-based theory, stakeholder theory and resource advantage theory in illuminating how inbound green logistics practices and outbound green logistics practices act as mediation mechanisms between eco-market orientation and green value competitiveness and eco-market orientation and social sustainability.

Abstract
Research in the area of green information technology (GIT) adoption is still sluggish and rather limited, particularly in the emerging economy context. To address this research void, this study investigates the determinants of GIT adoption in the workplace at the individual and organizational levels using an integrated framework that combines the “technology-organization-environment” (TOE) framework, the “technology readiness index” (TRI), and social psychology theories. Data is collected via paper-based survey from different organizations in the United Arab Emirates. Structural equation modelling was utilized to test the hypotheses that were presented in our model. The findings show that the integrated model has good explanatory power and confirms its robustness in predicting the GIT adoption. Organizational factors comprising management support, resource commitment, and quality of human resources have emerged as strong determinants of GIT adoption. Individual factors, on the contrary, demonstrated weak influence on GIT adoption. This study is one of the first empirical attempts that predict GIT adoption in the United Arab Emirates context. The paper concludes with several implications that can foster GIT adoption initiatives, particularly for emerging economies.

Abstract
The growing adverse impact of IT products in developing countries like Pakistan is increasing, seeking academicians' and practitioners' attention to adopt green IT products in Pakistan. In this regard, several researchers provided different independent theoretical models for adopting green IT, but which model fits best in the scenario is still vague. Therefore, this study used three well-developed competing models: the technology acceptance model, the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology, and the decomposed theory of planned behavior to investigate green IT adoption in Pakistan. For this purpose, data were collected through a survey method using a purposive sampling technique, and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze three competing models. Using the PLS model selection criteria along with standard model selection criteria, the results suggested that the decomposed theory of planned behavior (DTPB) is the most parsimonious and has the best explanatory and predictive power than other available alternative theoretical models. Moreover, the study identified different significant factors affecting consumers' intention to adopt green IT products in Pakistan. The theoretical and practical implication of this study is discussed. In the final section, limitations and future directions are elaborated.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to examine the technology-organization-environment (TOE) predictors of green information technology adoption in an emerging economy, namely, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and their impact on work performance among UAE organizations.
Design/methodology/approach
A paper-based survey was carried out by engaging employees in different organizations in the UAE. The “partial least squares” (PLS) method was used to test and analyze the measurement and the structural research models.
Findings
The analysis shows support to all the hypotheses, with the exception of the influence of competitive force.
Originality/value
The results can be valuable for practitioners and decision-makers in the emerging economy context as the results will help them validate their adoption decisions and effectively contribute to sustainability strategies.

Abstract
Environmental sustainability is receiving serious attention from organizations. Green practices and the use of green technologies such as Light Emitting Diode (LED) among organizations can reduce energy consumption, besides providing numerous benefits to the environment as well as organizations. Using the Belief–Action–Outcome framework, the stakeholder and social contract theory, this study aims to investigate the external and internal factors that influence LED usage, and the subsequent impact this may have on organizational outcomes. Data were collected from 300 Malaysian organizations that were LED users. Findings showed that social expectation had a significant positive influence on organizations’ environmental concern while stakeholder pressure and organizations’ environmental concern had a direct significant positive influence on LED usage. The findings further revealed that LED usage has a positive impact on organizations’ environmental and economic performance. This study contributes to the green and sustainability literature by identifying the relationship between specific macro level and micro level factors, and its link to organizations’ use of LED, and the subsequent impact on organizational outcomes. The identification of the antecedents and consequences of LED usage can help managers to formulate strategies that contribute to green climate within organizations, thereby supporting green technology usage and environmental sustainability.

Abstract
According to the resource-based view (RBV), an organization can be viewed as a collection of human, physical and organizational resources. These resources are valuable and inimitable, and are the main source of sustainable competitive advantage and sustained higher performance. Green human resource management (GHRM) practices help organizations to obtaina competitive advantage and align business strategies with the environment. In the same way, increases in environmental awareness and strict implementation of international environmental regulations havea greater impact on business sustainability. Environmentalism and sustainability are becoming more of a concern for organizations. For this reason, green human resource managementpractices and green intellectual capital are the main elements of business sustainability. Based on the resource-based view and intellectual capital-based view theory, this study investigated the impact of GHRM practices and green intellectual capital on sustainability, using cross-sectional data. The results show that the two dimensions of GHRM practices (green recruitment and selection, and green rewards) and green intellectual capital (green human capital, green structural capital and green relational capital) have a positive effect on a firm’s sustainability. GHRM practices and green intellectual capital have a positive role in this model. Practitioners, scholars and academics all may take benefits from the findings of this study.Limited variables andemerging and developingeconomies were the scope of this study. Future studies could investigate and explore the impact of green HRM practices and the role of management and stakeholder pressureonnew areas of sustainability.

Abstract
This study develops a green information system (IS) interpretive model grounded on technology organization environment (TOE) framework to identify the factors that influence Green IS refraction and further examines to what extent these factors impact Green IS refraction in information communications technology (ICT) based firms for corporate ecological responsibility reflection. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among ICT based firms and analyzed using partial least square-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Results indicate that the technological factors significantly influence Green IS refraction. In addition, results suggest that the organizational factors positively influence Green IS refraction. Moreover, results reveal that environmental factors significantly determine the extent of Green IS refraction. Finally, results show that Green IS reflection initiatives implemented in ICT-based firms positively defines corporate ecological responsibility. Respectively, this study offers a comprehensive approach for measuring Green IS practice implemented in ICT based firms.

Abstract
Over the last decades, prompt economic growth and the resulting overconsumption has deteriorated the environment in an accelerated way. This environmental deterioration has prompted academicians and practitioners to study ecological consumption behavior. E-waste and energy consumption play a major part in this environmental deterioration, which makes consumer conscious regarding their consumption pattern. In this regard, the emergence of green Information Technology (IT) enables individuals to become involved in environmental protection and sustainability programs to reduce the negative impact of IT products on the environment. This study aims to investigate individual intentions to adopt green IT products in Pakistan by the theoretical foundation of the theory of consumption values (functional value, social value, epistemic value, emotional value, and conditional value). Whereas, an additional value, i.e., the religious value, is included in the model, due to its significant impact in green consumption behavior of individuals. Cross-sectional data is used to obtain a total of 536 valid questionnaires to test the hypothesis. The Partial Least Square Modeling approach is used to test the proposed model (variance-based SEM). The results infer that functional value, social value, epistemic value, emotional value, conditional value, and religious value have significant positive impact on the consumer intention to adopt green IT products. The reasons for the results and implications for the practitioners are discussed. Furthermore, directions for future research have also been suggested.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to develop an eccentric model to examine the factors that influence environmental performance in organizations based on belief–action–outcome framework and natural resource-based view theory.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were collected by employing online survey from respondents in organizations to statistically test the eccentric model and its associated hypotheses. Partial least squares–structural equation modeling and Statistical Package for Social Sciences were utilized to analyze the survey data.
Findings
The results show that information technology (IT) professionals and IT executives’ behavior positively influences environmental performance. Further results suggest that the belief of IT professionals and IT executives is significantly influenced by the action of IT infrastructure, institutional pressure, organizational strategy and information diffusion. In addition, results reveal that the action of IT infrastructure, institutional pressure, organizational strategy and information diffusion in organizations significantly has an impact on the outcome of environmental performance. Moreover, results indicate that green information systems (IS) for pollution prevention, product stewardship and clean development initiatives adopted positively influence the environmental performance of organizations.
Research limitations/implications
The developed eccentric model further shows how green IS practice integration can improve environmental performance. However, the selected respondents are from a single country as such findings from this study cannot be generalized to other countries.
Practical implications
Practically, this paper has implications for the capability of IS to promote environmental performance in organizations.
Social implications
This study provides a pertinent contribution in developing and validating an eccentric model for green IS adoption. Besides, a survey instrument is developed that can be used by future studies.
Originality/value
The developed model helps to explore the factors that influence environmental performance and also the outcomes of green IS adoption for environmental performance. Accordingly, IT professionals and IT executives can draw upon the eccentric model in assessing their current environmental-friendly practice for the effective initialization of green IS for corporate value.

Abstract
Purpose
The effect of global warming on our environment has shifted the focus to green technologies worldwide. Subsequently, multiple research studies have attempted to assess awareness around the concept of “Green IT” in different countries. This paper aims to examine the factors that affect the intention to use green information technology (IT) (INT) and their subsequent influence on the actual use of green IT (ACT) among students in the context of a developing country.
Design/methodology/approach
The data were collected using survey questionnaires administered to six public university students. A total of 633 valid questionnaires were received and analyzed using structural equation modeling.
Findings
A positive relationship of INT with attitude toward green IT, subjective norms toward green IT, perceived behavioral control toward green IT, consideration of future consequences and openness was found, and also, a positive relationship between INT and ACT was found.
Originality/value
Many of prior research focused on factors influencing green IT adoption and usage from the organizational point of view, and there is not much literature dedicated to the study of IT users’ belief and behavior about green IT. Moreover, most studies tend to focus on developed nations, while a lesser number of studies gave consideration to developing nations. This study proposes a research framework that incorporated two personality trait factors to the theory of planned behavior to investigate individual factors influencing INT among students in the context of a developing country.
