Abstract
The present investigation examined how substituting some Cu2+ ions for Zn2+ ions could increase zinc oxide (ZnO) photocatalytic activity toward the reduction of Rhodamine B. Phase composition, the presence of functional groups, optical properties, emission spectra, and surface morphology of ZnO nanoflakes (NFs) were evaluated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), photoluminescence (PL) spectrophotometer, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). To investigate the photocatalytic capabilities of Cu-doped ZnO NFs driven by visible light/sunlight, Rhodamine B dyes were photocatalytically degraded in water using UV-visible absorption spectroscopy. Using Williamson-Hall analysis of the XRD data, it was discovered that the internal strain of the Cu-doped ZnO NFs was altered. UV-vis absorption showed that the energy gap of the semiconducting ZnO NFs shrank when Cu was substituted. FT-IR studies revealed that the surface of the Cu-doped ZnO NFs contained greater amounts of reactive oxidizing species. PL studies revealed that the ZnO NFs' surface defects were being caused by the Cu substitution. According to SEM research, more surface fault NFs formed when the concentration of Cu increased. The photocatalytic activity was enhanced by the production of these NFs. The UV-vis absorption spectra showed that Cu-doped ZnO NFs were more effective than pure ZnO at degrading the rhodamine B dye (RhB). Finally, it was shown that replacing Zn2+ ions with Cu2+ ions improved the photodegradation of the rhodamine B dye. According to this study, Cu-doped ZnO NFs are an excellent choice for wastewater treatment.

Efficient Photocatalytic Reduction of Hexavalent Chromium by BiVO 4-Decorated MXene Photocatalysts and Their Charge Carrier Dynamics. Abstract
The synergistically MXene (Ti3C2Tx) co-catalyst-decorated BiVO4-based heterostructured photocatalysts have been synthesized by a hydrothermal approach with varied loading concentrations of MXene (Ti3C2Tx) to drive the hexavalent chromium reduction efficiently. The formation of the heterostructured photocatalyst was confirmed by the appearance of X-ray diffraction (XRD) peaks corresponding to the monoclinic BiVO4 phase and MXene (Ti3C2Tx) and also the antisymmetric (834 cm-1) and symmetric stretching (715 cm-1) of tetrahedral VO4 and D (1330 cm-1) and G (1570 cm-1) bands corresponding to MXene (Ti3C2Tx) in the Raman spectrum. The worm-like structures of BiVO4 nanocrystals grew onto the lamellar sheets of MXene (Ti3C2Tx), as shown by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and has an increased surface area of 15.62 m2g-1 in the case of BVO-20-TC. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis confirms the presence of V5+ and Ti3+states, and the uniform distribution of BiVO4 nanocrystals over lamellar sheets of MXene (Ti3C2Tx) is evident from energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. The ultraviolet-diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-DRS) spectra suggest a decrease in the band gap energy of BVO-20-TC to 2.335 eV, promoting a higher degree of visible light harvesting. Upon optimization, by varying the pH, the amount of the photocatalyst, and the concentration of Cr(IV), BVO-20-TC exhibits the highest photocatalytic efficiency (96.39%) while using a Cr(VI) concentration of 10 ppm at pH 2 and 15 mg of the photocatalyst, and the photoreduction of Cr(VI) to Cr(III) follows the pseudo-first-order reaction. The decrease in the PL intensity in BVO-20-TC reveals a faster transfer of electrons from MXene (Ti3C2Tx) to BiVO4. Further, the higher degree of band bending at the BiVO4/MXene (Ti3C2Tx) heterojunction, revealed from the Mott-Schottky analysis, facilitates efficient charge transfer and eventually faster and efficient photoreduction of Cr(VI) to Cr(III). The reusability and stability test undertaken for BVO-20-TC reveals that even after five cycles, the Cr (VI) photoreduction efficacy is retained. This work provides insights into photoreduction of Cr (VI) by using such heterostructures.

Abstract
In this study, a flower-like BiVO4/MIL-101-NH2 composite is synthesized by a facile and surfactant-free process. The -COO--Bi3+ ionic bond construction was conductive to enhance the interface affinity between BiVO4 and MIL-101-NH2. Due to the highly efficient light capture and sufficient electron traps induced by oxygen vacancies and the formation of a heterostructure, the improved separation and transportation rates of charge carriers are realized. In addition, the MIL-101-NH2/BiVO4 composite is favorable for Cr(VI) photocatalytic removal (91.2%). Moreover, FNBV-3 (Fe/Bi = 0.25) also exhibited an excellent reusability after five cycles.

Abstract
A series of Bi2WO6/TiO2-nanotube (Bi2WO6/TiO2-NT) heterostructured composites were prepared by utilizing natural cellulose (e.g., laboratory filter paper) as the structural template. The obtained nanoarchitectonics, namely Bi2WO6/TiO2-NT nanocomposites, displayed three-dimensionally interwoven structures which replicated the initial cellulose template. The composite Bi2WO6/TiO2-NT nanotubes were formed by TiO2 nanotubes that uniformly anchored with Bi2WO6 nanoparticles of various densities on the surface. The composites exhibited improved photocatalytic activities toward the reduction of Cr(VI) and degradation of rhodamine B under visible light (λ > 420 nm), which were attributed to the uniform anchoring of Bi2WO6 nanoparticles on TiO2 nanotubes, as well as strong mutual effects and well-proportioned formation of heterostructures in between the Bi2WO6 and TiO2 phases. These improvements arose from the cellulose-derived unique structures, leading to an enhanced absorption of visible light together with an accelerated separation and transfer of the photogenerated electron-hole pairs of the nanocomposites, which resulted in increased effective amounts of photogenerated carriers for the photocatalytic reactions. It was demonstrated that the photoinduced electrons dominated the photocatalytic reduction of Cr(VI), while hydroxyl radicals and reactive holes contributed to the photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B.
