An entropy model for Carreau nanofluid ciliary flow with electroosmosis and thermal radiations: A numerical study

METHODS

Rheological study of Hall current and slip boundary conditions on fluid-nanoparticle phases in a convergent channel

Purpose: the purpose of this theoretical study was to analyze the heat transfer in the fluid-particle suspension model under the effects of a porous medium, magnetic field, Hall effects, and slip boundary conditions in a convergent channel with the addition of electrokinetic phenomena. The Darcy-Brinkman (non-Darcy porous medium) model was used to assess the effects of the porous medium. Methodology: the rheological equations of both models were transformed into a dimensionless form to obtain the exact solutions of the fluid and particle phase velocities, pressure gradient, volumetric flow rate, stream function, temperature distribution, and heat-transfer rate. To obtain an exact solution to the models, the physical aspects of the parameters are discussed, analyzed, and reported through graphs, contour plots, and in tabular form. Findings: mixing in hafnium particles in a viscous fluid provide 1.2% more cooling compared to with a regular fluid. A reduction of the streamlines was observed with the contribution of the slip condition. The utilization of the Darcy parameters upgraded both the fluid flow and temperature profiles, while the heat-transfer rate decreased by up to 3.3% and 1.7% with the addition of a magnetic field and porous medium, respectively. Assessment of heat transfer and the consequences of iron oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles on flow of blood in an abdominal aortic aneurysm

The present study is established on a simulation using CFD analysis in COMSOL. Blood acted as the base fluid with this simulation. The taken flow is been modeled as incompressible, unsteady, laminar and Newtonian fluid, which is appropriate at high rates of shear. The characteristic of flow of blood is been studied in order to determine pressure, velocity and temperature impact caused by an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). This work employs nanoparticles of the Iron Oxide (Fe₃O₄) type. The CFD technique is utilized to evaluate the equations of mass, momentum, and energy. The COMSOL software is utilized to generate a normal element sized mesh. The findings of this study demonstrate that velocity alters through aneurysmal part of the aorta, that velocity is higher in a diseased segment, and that velocity increases before and after the aneurysmal region. For the heat transfer feature, the reference temperature and general inward heat flux is taken as 293.15K and 800W/m². The nanoparticles altered blood's physical properties, including conductivity, dynamic viscosity, specific heat, and density. The inclusion of Iron Oxide (Fe₃O₄) nanoparticles managed to prevent overheating because taken nanoparticles have significant thermal conductivity. These findings will be extremely beneficial in the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm.

Influence of variable velocity slip condition and activation energy on MHD peristaltic flow of Prandtl nanofluid through a non-uniform channel

This study is carried out to analyze the problem of mixed convection magnet nanoflow of Prandtl fluid through a non-uniform channel with peristalsis. The external influences of activation energy and non-constant velocity slip are given full consideration. The mentioned fluid is expressed as a governing equations system, and then these equations are converted with non-dimensional parameter values to a system of ordinary differential equations. The converted system of equations is solved in terms of y and then graphs and sketches are offered using the generalized differential transform method. Graphs and results for volume friction as well as velocity profile, concentration, and temperature distributions are obtained. Results show development in the velocity profile of fluid distribution through high values of the non-constant velocity slip effect. The present study is alleged to deliver more opportunities to advance the applications of the drug-carrying system in hypoxic tumor areas with aid of identifying the flow mechanisms.

Thermal micropolar and couple stresses effects on peristaltic flow of biviscosity nanofluid through a porous medium

The main aim of the current study is to analyze couple stresses effects on MHD peristaltic transport of a micropolar non-Newtonian nanofluid. The fluid flows through a porous media between two horizontal co-axial tubes. The effects of radiation, chemical reaction, viscous and ohmic dissipation are considered. The inner tube is solid and uniform, while the outer tube has a sinusoidal wave traveling down its wall. The governing equations have been simplified using low-Reynolds number and long wave-length approximations, thus a semi-analytical solutions have been obtained using the homotopy perturbation method. Numerical results for the behaviors of the axial velocity, microrotation velocity, temperature and nanoparticles concentration with the physical parameters are depicted graphically through a set of graphs. Furthermore, the values of the skin friction coefficient, Nusselt and nano Sherwood numbers are computed and presented graphically through some draws. Moreover, the trapping phenomenon is discussed throughout a set of figures. The present study is very important in many medical applications, as the gastric juice motion in the small intestine when an endoscope is inserted through it. Further, gold nanoparticles are utilized in the remedy of cancer tumor.
