Heat transport in inclined flow towards a rotating disk under MHD

Flow towards a rotating disk is of highly practical significance in numerous engineering applications such as Turbine disks, rotary type machine systems and many more. In light of this, the current work is an attempt to explore MHD oblique flow towards a rotating disk. Hydromagnetic effects in addition to heat transfer is taken into consideration. The flow governing Partial Differential Equations are altered to a system to coupled non-linear Ordinary Differential Equations through scaling group of transformations which afterwards are tackled using Shooting Algorithm. The impact of obliqueness parameter γ, rotation ratio parameter [Formula: see text] and magnetic field parameter M on 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional stream contours are presented. Deflection Analysis of a Nonlocal Euler–Bernoulli Nanobeam Model Resting on Two Elastic Foundations: A Generalized Differential Quadrature Approach

This paper provides a general formularization of the nonlocal Euler–Bernoulli nanobeam model for a bending examination of the symmetric and asymmetric cross-sectional area of a nanobeam resting over two linear elastic foundations under the effects of different forces, such as axial and shear forces, by considering various boundary conditions’ effects. The governing formulations are determined numerically by the Generalized Differential Quadrature Method (GDQM). A deep search is used to analyze parameters—such as the nonlocal (scaling effect) parameter, nonuniformity of area, the presence of two linear elastic foundations (Winkler–Pasternak elastic foundations), axial force, and the distributed load on the nanobeam’s deflection—with three different types of supports. The significant deductions can be abbreviated as follows: It was found that the nondimensional deflection of the nanobeam was fine while decreasing the scaling effect parameter of the nanobeams. Moreover, when the nanobeam is not resting on any elastic foundations, the nondimensional deflection increases when increasing the scaling effect parameter. Conversely, when the nanobeam is resting on an elastic foundation, the nondimensional deflection of the nanobeam decreases as the scaling effect parameter is increased. In addition, when the cross-sectional area of the nanobeam varies parabolically, the nondimensional deflection of the nonuniform nanobeam decreases in comparison to when the cross-sectional area varies linearly.

Synthesis and characterization of manganese ferrite from low grade manganese ore through solid state reaction route

Manganese ferrite spinel has been synthesized by using low grade manganese ore and ferric oxide as sources of manganese oxide and iron oxide through solid state reaction route by taking manganese and iron mole ratio of 1:2 respectively. The impact of sintering temperature on phase composition and particle size is investigated. Similarly, the impact of frequency on dielectric constant, dielectric loss, AC (alternating current) conductivity and tangent losses is also investigated. The results shows the presence of spinel structure manganese ferrite (MnFe₂O₄) as the major phase for the sample sintered at 1200 °C. It has been established that the crystallite size increase with rise in sintering temperature. The surface morphology of the sample sintered at 1200 °C show pyramidal and triangular shape grains. The dielectric constant (ε') and dielectric losses (ε'') were observed to decrease with increasing the sintering temperature and frequency. Furthermore, the AC (alternating current) conductivity was found to rise with rise in applied frequency. On the other hand, the tangent losses falls considerably with rise in applied frequency.

MHD flow of a Newtonian fluid in symmetric channel with ABC fractional model containing hybrid nanoparticles

INTRODUCTION

The nanofluid is novelty of nanotechnology to overcome the difficulties of heat transfer in several manufacturing and engineering areas. Fractional calculus has many applications in nearly all fields of science and engineering which comprises electrochemistry, dispersion and viscoelasticity.

OBJECTIVES

This paper focused on the heat transfer of hybrid nanofluid in two vertical parallel plates and presented a comparison between fractional operators.

METHODS

The fractional viscous fluid model is considered with physical initial and boundary conditions for the movement occurrences. The analytical solutions were obtained via Laplace transform method for the concentration, temperature and velocity fields. After that we presented a comparison between Atangana-Baleanu (ABC), Caputo (C) and Caputo-Fabrizio (CF) fractional operators.

RESULTS

The comparison of different base fluids (Water, kerosene, Engine Oil) is discussed graphically for temperature and velocity. It is resulted that due to high thermal conductivity in water, temperature and velocity are high. While engine oil has maximum viscosity than water and kerosene, so temperature and velocity are very low. Due to the thermal conductivity improving with the enrichment of hybrid nanoparticles, so the Temperature is increased and since viscosity increased, so the velocity is reduced.

CONCLUSION

Atangana-Baleanu (ABC) fractional operator gives better memory effect of concentration, temperature and velocity fields than Caputo (C) and Caputo-Fabrizio (CF). Temperature and velocity of water with hybridized nanoparticles is high in comparison with kerosene and engine oil.

Utilization of Cu-nanoparticles as medication agent to reduce atherosclerotic lesions of a bifurcated artery having compliant walls

OBJECTIVE

A theoretical analysis is presented to study the bio-nanofluid with copper as medication agent for atherosclerotic bifurcated artery with flexible walls.

DESIGN/APPROACH

The circulatory framework in human body is comprised of a system of veins that incorporate the bifurcation in this way the impact of copper nanoparticles on parent, at apex and on daughter artery regions (in the wake of being bifurcated) is watched. Streaming of blood along vessel segment is recognized to be newtonian. The consistent idea of the atherosclerotic arterial wall is additionally considered to make relationship with permeability aspects with arterial wall thickness. Copper nanoparticles are utilized to reduce the atherosclertic lesions for bifurcated stenotic artery.

FINDINGS

The designed equations along with the experimental values of copper nanoparticles and blood are utilized for theoretical investigation. Moreover, hemodynamics impacts are also figure out to examine the flow of blood for atherosclertic artery. Comparison between parent and daughter artery is plotted through velocity profile. To see the theoretical assistance of this copper mediated model in biomedical field, graphical illustration is presented. At the end, noticed that the inclusion of copper nanoparticles enhances the velocity significantly both for parent as well as daughter artery.

CONCLUSIONS

The circulation of blood is considered to be different from pressure between portions of atherosclerotic and non-atherosclerotic artery. Shear stress is reduces by changing the bifurcation angle for daughter artery while trend is reversed for parent artery. The size of inner circularting bolus decreases by changing compliant parameter for parent artery while shape is changed for daughter artery.

Numerical Simulation of Entropy Generation for Power-Law Liquid Flow over a Permeable Exponential Stretched Surface with Variable Heat Source and Heat Flux

This novel work explored the second law analysis and heat transfer in a magneto non-Newtonian power-law fluid model with the presence of an internal non-uniform heat source/sink. In this investigation, the motion of the studied fluid was induced by an exponentially stretching surface. The rheological behavior of the fluid model, including the shear thinning and shear thickening properties, are also considered as special case studies. The physical problem developed meaningfully with the imposed heat flux and the porosity of the stretched surface. Extensive numerical simulations were carried out for the present boundary layer flow, in order to study the influence of each control parameter on the boundary layer flow and heat transfer characteristics via various tabular and graphical illustrations. By employing the Shooting Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg Method (SRKFM), the resulting nonlinear ordinary differential equations were solved accurately. Based on this numerical procedure, the velocity and temperature fields are displayed graphically. By applying the second law of thermodynamics, and characterizing the entropy generation and Bejan number, the present physical problem was examined and discussed thoroughly in different situations. The attained results showed that the entropy generation can be improved significantly by raising the magnetic field strength and the group parameter. From an energetic point of view, it was found that the Reynolds number boosts the entropy generation of the fluidic medium and reduces the Bejan number. Also, it was observed that an amplification of the power-law index diminished the entropy generation near the stretched surface. As main results, it was proven that the heat transfer rate can be reduced with both the internal heat source intensity and the magnetic field strength.
