Abstract
Talc is a natural mineral catalyst known by the chemical composition of MgSi4O10(OH)2. which in its pure state consists of 31.88% magnesium oxide, 63.37% silicon oxide, and 4.75% water. The abundance of this material, the ease of extraction, and its properties have made talc an important mineral in industries. In this article, this material, which was extracted directly from the mine, after decontamination, was used for the synthesis of benzo[f]chromene, dihydropyrano[3,2-c]chromene, and tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran derivatives. The results demonstrated that the catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic performance, leading to the production of products with yields of 79-95%. Additionally, the heterogeneity of the reaction was confirmed through a hot filtration test. Notably, this catalyst presents notable benefits, such as its easy recovery and ability to be reused for a minimum of six successive cycles, a simple work-up procedure, and the attainment of high product yields. Structural and morphological analyzes of the talc were done using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS-map) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques.

Synthesis, biological evaluation, theoretical calculations, QSAR and molecular docking studies of novel arylaminonaphthols as potent antioxidants and BChE inhibitors. Bioorg Chem 2024; 150:107598. Abstract
A completely green protocol was developed for the synthesis of a series of arylaminonaphthol derivatives in the presence of N-ethylethanolamine (NEEA) as a catalyst under ultrasonic irradiation and solventless conditions. The major assets of this methodology were the use of non-toxic organic medium, available catalyst, mild reaction condition, and good to excellent yield of desired products. All of the synthesized products were screened for their in vitro antioxidant activity using DPPH, ABTS, and Ferric-phenanthroline assays and it was found that most of them are potent antioxidant agents. Also, their butyrylcholinesterase inhibitory activity has been investigated in vitro. All tested compounds exhibited potential inhibitory activity toward BuChE when compared to standard reference drug galantamine, however, compounds 4r, 4u, 4 g and 4x gave higher butyrylcholinesterase inhibitory with IC50 values of 14.78 ± 0.65 µM, 16.18 ± 0.50 µM, 20.00 ± 0.50 µM, and 20.28 ± 0.08 µM respectively. On the other hand, we employed density functional theory (DFT), calculations to analyze molecular geometry and global reactivity descriptors, and MESP analysis to predict electrophilic and nucleophilic attacks. A quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) investigation was conducted on the antioxidant and butyrylcholinesterase properties of 25 arylaminonaphthol derivatives, resulting in robust and satisfactory models. To evaluate their anti-Alzheimer's activity, compounds 4 g, 4q, 4r, 4u, and 4x underwent docking simulations at the active site of the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), revealing why these compounds displayed superior activity, consistent with the biological findings.

Abstract
In this research and in the line of our researches on the use of nano-substrates modified with ionic liquid in organic reactions, an efficient and green method for the one-pot three-component synthesis of pyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazole and 1-(benzothiazolylamino)methyl-2-naphthol derivatives is reported using a new nanoporous catalyst formulated as ZnO@SO3H@Tropine. Further analysis of the catalyst for its characterization has been performed using thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The present approach creates a variety of biologically active heterocyclic compounds with excellent yields and short reaction times. Among the other advantages of the current method are: ease of operation, clean reaction profiles and ease of separation. Also, this catalyst can be reused five times without loss of its catalytic activity.

Abstract
Green, eco-benign, and sustainable synthesis is paramount in present chemistry. Here, a facile, efficient, and [H2-DABCO][HSO4]2 ionic-liquid-catalyzed one-pot multicomponent synthesis of hexahydroquinolines was reported under ambient reaction conditions. The reaction of 1,3-dicarbonyls, malononitrile, and ammonium acetate with various aldehydes in the presence of an ionic liquid catalyst and EtOH solvent at room temperature afforded excellent yields (76-100%) of hexahydroquinolines under a short reaction time (5-15 min). Mild reaction conditions, broad substrate scope (28 derivatives), and column-chromatography-free synthesis with excellent catalytic efficiency and good recyclability rendered this protocol superior and practical. The greenness of the present method was assessed through eco-score and E-factor. The significant results in gram-scale synthetic conditions validate its applicability in industries as well as academia in the near future.

Abstract
Abstract
A green procedure for the one-pot three-component synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthol and 3-amino-1-phenyl-1H benzo[f]chromene-2-carbonitrile derivatives from the reaction of 2-naphtol, aldehydes, and malononitrile/acetamide in the presence of a catalytic amount of Fe3O4@enamine-B(OSO3H)2 as an efficient and novel heterogeneous magnetic nanostructure catalyst is described. The catalyst was characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). These strategies possess some merits such as simple work-up method, easy preparation of the catalyst, short reaction times, good-to-high yields, and non-use of hazardous solvents during all steps of the reactions. Moreover, due to the magnetic nature of the catalyst, it was readily recovered by magnetic decantation and can be recycled at least six runs with no considerable decrease in catalytic activity.
