Abstract
The uptake of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine remains suboptimal despite being a part of routine vaccination within national immunization program(s). This indicates probable challenges with the implementation of HPV immunization program(s) in various countries. The objective of this systematic literature review (SLR) was to identify implementation strategies for HPV vaccination within national and regional immunization programs worldwide with an aim to provide guidance for countries targeting to increase their HPV vaccine coverage rate (VCR). A comprehensive literature search was conducted across Medline and Embase and included articles published between January 2012 and January 2022. Of the 2,549 articles retrieved, 168 met inclusion criteria and were included in the review. Strategies shown to improve HPV vaccination uptake in the reviewed literature include campaigns to increase community awareness and knowledge of HPV, health care provider trainings, integrating HPV vaccination within school settings, coordinated efforts via multi-sectoral partnerships, and vaccination reminder and recall systems. Findings may help national authorities understand key considerations for HPV vaccination when designing and implementing programs aiming to increase HPV VCR in adolescents.

Abstract
Shared clinical decision-making (SCDM) about HPV vaccination has been recommended for U.S. mid-adults aged 27-45 since 2019. To explore barriers and facilitators to HPV vaccination in this population, we conducted 14 virtual focus groups with 86 unvaccinated mid-adults (34 men and 52 women) in California's medically underserved Inland Empire between September 2020 and January 2021. We systematically analyzed the focus group data using the rigorous and accelerated data reduction (RADaR) technique to identify key themes. Identified barriers included: lack of awareness, vaccine hesitancy, and perceived unaffordability (cited in 14 groups); lack of healthcare provider communication and insufficient time (13 groups); fear of moral judgment (12 groups); lack of motivation and information needs (10 groups); and lack of reliable transportation and foregone care during the COVID-19 pandemic (3 groups). Proposed facilitators included: tailored HPV vaccine information for mid-adults, cost mitigation, and improved vaccine accessibility (12 groups); healthcare provider-initiated conversations (6 groups); and vaccine reminders (4 groups). These findings highlight challenges to HPV vaccination among U.S. mid-adults eligible for SCDM and point to actionable strategies for improvement. Specifically, tailored educational interventions, decision-making tools for pharmacists, and integrating HPV vaccination into other healthcare encounters may enhance vaccination efforts in areas with limited primary care resources.

Abstract
Therapeutic vaccination can harness the body's cellular immune system to target and destroy cancerous cells. Several treatment options are available to eliminate pre-cancerous and cancerous lesions caused by human papillomaviruses (HPV), but may not result in a long-term cure. Therapeutic vaccination may offer an effective, durable, and minimally intrusive alternative. We developed mucosally delivered, recombinant, non-replicating human adenovirus type 5 (rAd5)-vectored vaccines that encode HPV16's oncogenic proteins E6 and E7 alongside a molecular dsRNA adjuvant. The induction of antigen-specific T cells and the therapeutic efficacy of rAd5 were evaluated in a mouse model of HPV tumorigenesis where E6E7-transformed cells, TC-1, were implanted subcutaneously in C57BL/6 mice. After tumor growth, mice were treated intranasally with rAd5 vaccines expressing the wildtype form of E6E7 (rAd5-16/E6E7Wt) in combination with an anti-PD-1 antibody or isotype control. Animals treated with rAd5-16/E6E7Wt with and without anti-PD-1 had significant reductions in tumor volume and increased survival compared to controls. Further, animals treated with rAd5-16/E6E7Wt had increased CD4+ and CD8+ tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and produced a cytotoxic tumor microenvironment. In a second study, the immunogenicity of a non-transformative form of E6E7 (rAd5-16/E6E7Mu) and a vaccine encoding predicted T cell epitopes of E6E7 (rAd5-16/E6E7epi) were evaluated. These vaccines elicited significant reductions in TC-1 tumor volume and increased survival of animals. Antigen-specific CD8+ T effector memory cells were observed in the animals treated with E6E7-encoding rAd5, but not in the rAd5-empty group. The work described here demonstrates that this mucosal vaccination can be used therapeutically to elicit specific cellular immunity and further identifies a clinical candidate with great potential for the treatment and prevention of human cervical cancer.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the leading risk factor for the development of anogenital cancers. Most Arab countries lack both HPV education and national HPV vaccination programs. The objective of this study was to assess knowledge, attitudes, and acceptance toward HPV vaccination in men and women from Oman, a country in the Middle Eastern North Africa region. METHODS This cross-sectional quantitative study used convenience sampling to recruit male and female participants, aged 18 years and above from all 11 governorates of Oman to complete a validated self-administered questionnaire online in the Arabic language. The questionnaire comprised five sections, with a total of 32 questions. The questionnaire, including Arabic and English versions, was content validated and piloted. RESULTS A total of 1403 participants, including 952 parents and 369 healthcare providers, completed the survey. The results showed a lack of knowledge regarding HPV infection and vaccines, including among healthcare providers. Less than a quarter of the participants had heard of HPV infection, with digital sources of information being the most common. Factors such as being a woman or a healthcare provider or completing higher levels of education were independently and significantly positively association with HPV awareness (p < 0.001). The majority of the participants lacked vaccine safety knowledge, had concerns about the vaccine's side effects, and sought reassurance of its protection against HPV infection (62%, 71.5%, and 84.6%, respectively). Nevertheless, nearly two-thirds of the participants agreed to take the HPV vaccine, with support for both boys and girls being vaccinated. There was almost universal agreement among the participants regarding the need for parental and adolescent HPV educational programs. CONCLUSION Omani women and men showed a high level of acceptance and favorable attitude toward HPV vaccination. The study findings support future efforts to implement school and public-level HPV education and a national HPV vaccination program in Oman.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines effectively prevent, and can even eliminate, HPV-related cancers. Currently, vaccination rates are suboptimal in the national Swedish school-based vaccination program. School nurses play a key role in all aspects of the vaccination process. Therefore, this study aims to explore school nurses' perceived HPV vaccination challenges. METHODS Seven focus group interviews were conducted with school nurses (n = 35) working in nine socio-demographically diverse municipalities in mid-Sweden. Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. RESULTS Participants described difficulties in encountering and handling the diversity of reasons for vaccine hesitancy. Parents known to be skeptical of vaccines in general were seen as most difficult to reach. Uncertainty was expressed concerning the extent of professional responsibility for vaccine promotion. The informants expressed a lack of guidelines for vaccine promotion and described challenges in supporting the child's own wishes. Creating a safe space for the individual child was seen as crucial. Other problems described were the challenges of overcoming children's fear of needles, supporting unvaccinated children, and being confronted with the remaining gender inequities of the pan-gender vaccination program. CONCLUSIONS Our results suggest that school nurses, especially those new to their profession, may benefit from training and guidance22 material on how to address vaccine hesitancy.

Abstract
Administration of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in early adolescence is effective in preventing cervical cancer, a common cancer in sub-Saharan Africa. Nigeria is in the pre-introduction era of the HPV vaccine. Understanding the preferences of the population for the vaccine can help design the HPV immunization program to ensure high uptake of the vaccine. This study explored the preferences for the HPV vaccine among stakeholders in selected communities in Ibadan, Nigeria. A discrete choice experiment survey based on six attributes of the HPV vaccine (which were the number of doses, the efficacy of the vaccine, cost of the vaccine, location of the service point, other benefits of the vaccine apart from prevention of cervical cancer and the odds of a side effect from the vaccine) was carried out in five communities. Data were analyzed using conditional and mixed logit models. Seven hundred community members were recruited, 144 (20.7%) were adolescents and 248 (35.4%) were males. In line with expectations, respondents preferred vaccines with higher efficacy, less severe side effects and lower costs. Preference heterogeneity was identified for adolescents that were less price-sensitive and other community members who were less likely to prefer using schools as the service point. The high socioeconomic class preferred a vaccine that also prevents genital warts. There were variabilities in the preferences for the attributes of the HPV vaccine in the study communities. These variabilities need to be considered in the introduction of the HPV vaccine to ensure high uptake of the vaccine.

Abstract
Objectives: Health care professionals (HCPs) play an important role for patients' vaccination decisions. To counsel patients/clients appropriately, HCPs need current factual knowledge about vaccines and strong communication skills. Methods: We conducted an online survey with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and midwives in Switzerland (01.11.2020-31.03.2021). We evaluated: 1) interest in vaccination knowledge and counseling training; 2) vaccination recommendation practices; 3) experience with vaccination counseling/administration; 4) comfort level in addressing vaccine hesitancy (VH); 5) perspectives on patient/client VH, delays, and refusals. Results: In total, 1,933 practicing HCPs responded (496 physicians, 226 pharmacists, 607 nurses, 604 midwives). 43% physicians, 31% pharmacists, 15% nurses, and 23% midwives felt comfortable counseling VH patients/clients. 96% physicians, 98% pharmacists, 85% nurses, and 91% midwives were interested in additional vaccination-related training. All professionals mentioned safety, efficacy, and side effects as topics of most interest for additional training. Conclusion: Results demonstrate a high interest among HCPs for additional vaccination-related training. In addition to factual information about vaccination, such training will likely benefit from a communication component, given the low rates of comfort reported by HCPs when counseling VH patients/clients.

Abstract
Messenger RNA (mRNA) is being developed by researchers as a novel drug for the treatment or prevention of many diseases. However, to enable mRNA to fully exploit its effects in vivo, researchers need to develop safer and more effective mRNA delivery systems that improve mRNA stability and enhance the ability of cells to take up and release mRNA. To date, lipid nanoparticles are promising nanodrug carriers for tumor therapy, which can significantly improve the immunotherapeutic effects of conventional drugs by modulating mRNA delivery, and have attracted widespread interest in the biomedical field. This review focuses on the delivery of mRNA by lipid nanoparticles for cancer treatment. We summarize some common tumor immunotherapy and mRNA delivery strategies, describe the clinical advantages of lipid nanoparticles for mRNA delivery, and provide an outlook on the current challenges and future developments of this technology.

Abstract
BACKGROUND In April 2018, Tanzania introduced the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine nationally to 14-year-old girls, utilizing routine delivery strategies (i.e. vaccinating girls at health facilities and community outreach, including schools). We sought to assess awareness, feasibility, and acceptability of the HPV vaccination program among health workers and community-level stakeholders. METHODS We conducted cross-sectional in-person surveys among health workers, school personnel, community leaders, and council leaders in 18 council areas across six regions of Tanzania in October-November 2019. Regions were purposively selected to provide demographic, geographic, and vaccination coverage variability; sub-regional levels used random or stratified random sampling. Surveys included questions on HPV vaccine training and knowledge, delivery strategy, target population, and vaccine and program acceptability. Descriptive analysis was completed for all variables stratified by respondent groups. RESULTS Across the 18 councils, there were 461 respondents, including health workers (165), school personnel (135), community leaders (143), and council leaders (18). Over half of each respondent group (50-78%) attended a training or orientation on HPV vaccine. Almost 75% of the health workers and school personnel respondent groups, and less than half (45%) of community leaders correctly identified the target age group for HPV vaccine. Most (80%) of the health workers indicated HPV vaccination was available at health facilities and schools; most (79%) indicated that the majority of girls receive HPV vaccine in school. Approximately half (52%) of all respondents reported hearing misinformation about HPV vaccine, but 97% of all respondents indicated that HPV vaccine was either "very accepted" or "somewhat accepted" in their community. CONCLUSION The HPV vaccination program in Tanzania was well accepted by community stakeholders in 18 councils; adequate knowledge of HPV vaccine and the HPV vaccination program was demonstrated by health workers and school personnel. However, continued technical support for integration of HPV vaccination as a routine immunization activity and reinforcement of basic knowledge about HPV vaccine in specific community groups is needed. The Tanzania experience provides an example of how this vaccine can be integrated into routine immunization delivery strategies and can be a useful resource for countries planning to introduce HPV vaccine as well as informing global partners on how to best support to countries in operationalizing their HPV vaccine introduction plans.

Abstract
Chitosan (Ch) has recently been used in different studies as a vaccine adjuvant with an ability to modulate the tumor microenvironment (TME). This systematic review aims to elucidate the added value of using Ch-based therapies for immunotherapeutic strategies in cancer treatment, through the exploration of different Ch-based formulations, their capacity to modulate immune cells in vitro and in vivo, and their translational potential for clinical settings. A systematic review was conducted on PubMed, following both inclusion and exclusion steps. Original articles which focused on the immunomodulatory role of Ch-based formulations in the TME were included, as well as its usage as a delivery vehicle for other immunomodulatory molecules. This review illustrates the added value of Ch-based systems to reshape the TME, through the modulation of immune cells using different Ch formulations, namely solutions, films, gels, microneedles and nanoparticles. Generally, Ch-based formulations increase the recruitment and proliferation of cells associated with pro-inflammatory abilities and decrease cells which exert anti-inflammatory activities. These effects correlated with a decreased tumor weight, reduced metastases, reversion of the immunosuppressive TME and increased survival in vivo. Overall, Ch-based formulations present the potential for immunotherapy in cancer. Nevertheless, clinical translation remains challenging, since the majority of the studies use Ch in formulations with other components, implicating that some of the observed effects could result from the combination of the individual effects. More studies on the use of different Ch-based formulations, complementary to standardization and disclosure of the Ch properties used are required to improve the immunomodulatory effects of Ch-based formulations in cancer.

Abstract
Background: Cervical cancer is the leading cause of cancer among women in Tanzania, with approximately 10,000 new cases and 7,000 deaths annually. In April 2018, the Government of Tanzania introduced 2 doses of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine nationally to adolescent girls to prevent cervical cancer, following a successful 2-year pilot introduction of the vaccine in the Kilimanjaro Region. Methods: We interviewed key informants at the national level in Tanzania from February to November 2019, using a semi-structured tool to better understand national decision-making and program implementation. We conducted a comprehensive desk review of HPV vaccine introduction materials and reviewed administrative coverage data. Results: Ten key informants were interviewed from the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly, and Children, the World Health Organization, and other partners, and HPV vaccine planning documents and administrative coverage data were reviewed during the desk review. Tanzania introduced HPV vaccine to a single-age cohort of 14-year-old girls, with the decision-making process involving the Tanzania Immunization Technical Advisory Group and the national Interagency Coordination Committee. HPV vaccine was integrated into the routine immunization delivery strategy, available at health facilities and through outreach services at community sites, community mobile sites (>10 km from the health facility), and primary and secondary schools. Pre-introduction activities included trainings and microplanning workshops for health workers and school personnel at the national, regional, council, and health facility levels. Over 6,000 health workers and 22,000 school personnel were trained nationwide. Stakeholder and primary health care committee meetings were also conducted at the national level and in each of the regions as part of the advocacy and communication strategy. Administrative coverage of the first dose of HPV vaccine at the end of 2019 was 78%, and second dose coverage was 49%. No adverse events following HPV vaccination were reported to the national level. Discussion: Tanzania successfully introduced HPV vaccine nationally targeting 14-year-old girls, using routine delivery strategies. Continued monitoring of vaccination coverage will be important to ensure full 2-dose vaccination of eligible girls. Tanzania can consider periodic intensified vaccination and targeted social mobilization efforts, as needed.

Abstract
We address ethical, legal, and practical issues related to adolescent self-consent for human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination. HPV vaccination coverage continues to lag well behind the national goal of 80% series completion. Structural and behavioral interventions have improved vaccination rates, but attitudinal, behavioral, and access barriers remain. A potential approach for increasing access and improving vaccination coverage would be to permit adolescents to consent to HPV vaccination for themselves. We argue that adolescent self-consent is ethical, but that there are legal hurdles to be overcome in many states. In jurisdictions where self-consent is legal, there can still be barriers due to lack of awareness of the policy among healthcare providers and adolescents. Other barriers to implementation of self-consent include resistance from antivaccine and parent rights activists, reluctance of providers to agree to vaccinate even when self-consent is legally supported, and threats to confidentiality. Confidentiality can be undermined when an adolescent's self-consented HPV vaccination appears in an explanation of benefits communication sent to a parent or if a parent accesses an adolescent's vaccination record via state immunization information systems. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to a substantial drop in HPV vaccination, there may be even more reason to consider self-consent. The atmosphere of uncertainty and distrust surrounding future COVID-19 vaccines underscores the need for any vaccine policy change to be pursued with clear communication and consistent with ethical principles.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination among adolescents is an important strategy to prevent cervical and other cancers in adulthood. However, uptake remains far below the Healthy People 2020 targets for the US. Given the barriers to population-level vaccination policies and challenges to incorporating additional action items during clinical visits, we sought to explore alternative delivery mechanisms, specifically delivery of the vaccine in community settings. METHODS We conducted six focus groups (three with adolescents aged 11-14 who had not received the HPV vaccine and three with caregivers of adolescents meeting those criteria) from Black, Latino, and Brazilian communities in Massachusetts. We utilized a framework analysis approach that involved a multi-stage coding process employing both prefigured and emergent codes. Initial interpretations were refined through consultation with an advisory board. RESULTS Adolescents and caregivers expressed a range of concerns about the HPV vaccine and also described interest in learning more about the vaccine, emphasizing the importance of a relationship with a trusted provider as a facilitator of vaccine acceptance. Regarding community-based delivery of the vaccine, reactions were mainly negative. However, adolescents and caregivers noted that receiving information in community settings that could seed a conversation with a trusted provider would be welcome. Interestingly, the notion of a trusted provider seemed to extend broadly to practitioners linked to the trusted main provider. CONCLUSIONS The study highlights an opportunity for increasing HPV vaccination among some racial and ethnic minority populations by leveraging trusted community organizations to provide information and seed conversations with a potentially broad group of trusted providers. A task-shifting approach, or reliance on staff with fewer formal credentials, may offer opportunities to support vaccination in resource-constrained settings.

Abstract
The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine plays an important role in preventing a series of diseases caused by HPV. Recent studies have shown that as a primary prevention measure, it can considerably prevent HPV infection and HPV-associated cervical cancer. However, studies on the safety, efficacy, and coverage of the HPV vaccine remain insufficient, especially in developing countries. Therefore, in this review, we outlined the recent studies of the HPV vaccine in terms of immunogenicity, safety, efficacy, latest vaccination concepts, and strategies. This review may provide a theoretical basis for use of the HPV vaccine.

Abstract
Little is known regarding Chinese mothers' intention to vaccinate their daughters against human papillomavirus (HPV) since the HPV vaccine was approved for use in China in 2016. The aim was to explore maternal HPV vaccination acceptance, preference for 2-, 4- or 9-valent HPV vaccine and acceptance of domestically manufactured HPV vaccines. Study participants were mothers of primary school children in Southeastern region of Fujian. An online cross-sectional survey was undertaken between June and August 2019. Among the total of 3,586 completed responses (response rate 28.5%), the intention to vaccinate daughter against HPV was high (83.3%). Higher maternal education and perceived benefit and barriers were associated with greater intention to vaccinate. Among mothers who did not intend to vaccinate their daughters, the three most common reasons were daughter being too young to receive HPV vaccination (40.6%), fear of side effects (31.9%) and vaccine price is too high (16.0%). The largest proportion (41.4%) preferred their daughter to be vaccinated with the 9-valent HPV vaccine (9vHPV). Greater preference for 9vHPVwas strongly associated with higher maternal education level and annual household income. The majority of mothers expressed a preference for imported HPV vaccine (56.3%). Our result indicates that lower intentions to vaccinate daughters against HPV among less educated and lower-income mothers may lead to significant social inequalities in HPV vaccine uptake in the country.

Abstract
The exact expression profile and potential involvement of miR-625-5p in the tumor biology of cervical carcinoma are still elusive. In this study, we aimed to analyze the expression status and possible involvements of miR-625-5p in both clinical tissue samples and cell culture of cervical carcinoma. The relative expression levels of miR-625-5p and NF-κB transcript were determined by real-time polymerase chain reaction. Cell proliferation was measured using Cell Counting Kit-8. The protein levels of Cyclin D1, CDK4, NF-κB, and GAPDH were examined by Western blotting. The regulatory effects of miR-625-5p on NF-κB and MALAT1 were interrogated by luciferase reporter assay. We demonstrated that miR-625-5p was downregulated and predicted better survival in cervical carcinoma. Ectopic over-expression of miR-625-5p inhibited cell growth via targeting NF-κB. We further identified MALAT1 as the competitive endogenous long non-coding RNA for miR-625-5p, and over-expression of MALAT1 attenuated the inhibitory effect of miR-625-5p on NF-κB signaling in cervical carcinoma. Our study characterized the suppressive expression of miR-625-5p in cervical carcinoma and unraveled the importance of MALAT1/miR-625-5p/NF-κB signaling in this disease.

Abstract
Importance The most common cause of oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma is human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, and currently the standard of care to determine the HPV infection status in this type of carcinoma is to use p16 immunohistochemistry as a surrogate marker of high-risk HPV infection. Although p16 immunohistochemistry is limited by the inability to determine the specific HPV genotypes, oral gargle samples may be a readily available source of HPV DNA for genotyping. Objective To determine the specific HPV genotypes present in both oral gargle samples and tumor specimens. Design, Setting, and Participants This prospective, biomarker cohort study conducted at a single specialized cancer hospital in Florida screened approximately 800 potentially eligible participants from May 2014 through October 2017. To be eligible for participation, patients had to meet all of the following criteria: 18 years of age or older, male sex, newly diagnosed as having stage I to IV cancer of the oropharynx, a squamous cell carcinoma diagnosis, treatment naive or at least 4 weeks after chemoradiation or surgical treatment of other diseases, fully understand the study procedures and risks involved, and voluntarily agree to participate by signing an informed consent statement. Main Outcomes and Measures Detection rate of HPV infection and HPV genotypes in oral gargle samples and tumor specimens. Results A cohort of 204 male participants with newly diagnosed oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma was assessed in this prospective collection of comprehensive clinical data and oral gargle samples. Most study participants (190 [93.1%]) were white and ever smokers (114, 55.9%), with a median age of 61 years (range, 35-87 years). The HPV infection status could be assessed in 203 of 204 participants (99.5%) using oral gargle samples: 35 samples (17.2%) were negative for HPV infection, whereas 168 samples (82.8%) were positive for HPV infection. The detection rate of HPV genotypes was 93.0% in tumor specimens (160 specimens) and 82.8% (168 samples) in oral gargle samples. The oral gargle samples frequently had low-risk HPV genotypes that were not detected in tumors, but these low-risk genotypes were always a coinfection with high-risk genotypes. Conclusions and Relevance Oral gargle samples can be used to detect the majority of clinically relevant HPV genotypes found in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, but the interpretation of HPV detected in these samples should be assessed with caution for general cancer risk assessment given that sensitive assays can concomitantly detect low-risk genotypes.

Abstract
This paper analyses farmers' behavioural responses to Government attempts to reduce the risk of disease transmission from badgers to cattle through badger vaccination. Evidence for two opposing behavioural adaptions is examined in response to the vaccination of badgers to reduce the risk of transmission to farmed cattle. Risk compensation theory suggests that interventions that reduce risk, such as vaccination, are counterbalanced by negative behavioural adaptions. By contrast, the spillover effect suggests that interventions can prompt further positive behaviours. The paper uses data from a longitudinal mixed methods study of farmers' attitudes to badger vaccination to prevent the spread of bovine tuberculosis, their reports of biosecurity practices, and cattle movement data in 5 areas of England, one of which experienced badger vaccination. Analysis finds limited evidence of spillover behaviours following vaccination. Lack of spillover is attributed to farmers' beliefs in the effectiveness of biosecurity and the lack of similarity between badger vaccination and vaccination for other animal diseases. Risk compensation behaviours are associated with farmers' beliefs as to who should manage animal disease. Rather than farmers' belief in vaccine effectiveness, it is more likely that farmers' low sense of being able to do anything to prevent disease influences their apparent risk compensation behaviours. These findings address the gap in the literature relating to farmers' behavioural adaptions to vaccine use in the management of animal disease.

Abstract
Our aim was to better understand Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine acceptance among Mexican adults including people with and without HIV, cisgender men who have sex with men (MSM) or with women (MSW), cisgender and transgender women. A computer-assisted, self-administered questionnaire was completed by healthcare users and participants recruited through community organizations, and the first dose of the quadrivalent HPV vaccine was offered at no cost at a large sexual health clinic in Mexico City, from May to December 2018. Socio-demographic characteristics and factors associated with HPV vaccine acceptance were analyzed using logistic regression.The sample of 1915 participants included 1341 cisgender men (70.9%, 1247 MSM and 94 MSW), 396 (20.7%) cisgender women and 178 (9.3%) transwomen; 615 people (32.1%) were HIV positive. Uptake of the HPV vaccine was higher in men and transwomen (91.5% and 87%, respectively) than among cisgender women (81.8%; p < .001). Cisgender women (OR 0.43, 95%CI 0.30-0.61, p < .05) were less likely to accept HPV vaccination than men. Married/partnered people were less likely to accept HPV vaccination compared to those who were single (OR 0.70, 95%CI 0.51-0.97). People living with HIV were not significantly more likely to accept HPV vaccination (OR 1.7; 95%CI 0.86-1.61).HPV vaccine acceptance was high among adult Mexican study participants; it may be higher than among other Mexican adults given most of these individuals are engaged in care. Modifications will be needed in national and international recommendations on HPV vaccination in adults if healthcare personnel are to recommend the vaccine to the population groups studied.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To measure HPV vaccine acceptance in diverse Mexican adult popula-tions, taking into account HIV status. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 1 329 men and women, with and without HIV, participated in one of three intervention studies, offering HPV vaccination, carried out in the states of Morelos, Tlaxcala and Mexico City; either the bivalent (Morelos n=103, Tlaxcala n=127) or quadrivalent HPV-vaccine (Mexico City n=1 099) was offered. RESULTS HPV vaccine was accepted by 80.3% of participants; acceptance was higher in people living with HIV than those without (84.4 vs. 78%, p=0.004). Women had greater HPV infection knowledge (p<0.0001) than men and slightly higher (p=0.4) vaccine acceptance. The main reason for vaccine non-acceptance among HIV-positive participants was their doctor recommended they not get vaccinated. CONCLUSIONS Acceptance of HPV-vaccine was high in men and women regardless of HIV status. Even higher rates of acceptability may be achieved by educating healthcare providers to recommend HPV vaccine to their patients.

Abstract
Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) are causative of a group of clinically papillary lesions. The HPV-related lesions of the oral cavity include squamous papilloma, condyloma acuminatum, verruca vulgaris, and multifocal epithelial hyperplasia. Benign entities, such as verruciform xanthoma or giant cell fibroma, as well as malignancies, such as papillary squamous cell carcinoma and verrucous carcinoma, may be considered in the clinical and/or histologic differential diagnoses of these lesions. Mechanisms of infection, epidemiology, clinical presentations, histologic features, and differential diagnoses of the HPV-related oral pathologies are discussed. Current concepts of viral transmission, especially as pertaining to lesions in pediatric patients, and the impacts of HPV vaccination are reviewed.

Abstract
Rural communities experience health disparities, including elevated incidence and mortality of human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated cancers and correspondingly low HPV vaccination rates. There are numerous policy strategies that are available at multiple levels - patient, provider, clinic, community, state, and national - to address geographic, clinical, and communication barriers to HPV vaccination across rural America. Examples include policy development, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare provider and clinic-based assessment and education initiatives; school entry requirements; school, pharmacy, and community-based vaccination programs; evidence-based, community-driven communication efforts; and increased interventional research in rural communities. Strategically implemented policy measures will contribute to reduction in the incidence and mortality from HPV-related cancers through increased access to HPV vaccination in our rural communities.
