Abstract
Improving production efficiency and developing green catalytic systems are key issues for applying Heck coupling reactions in the chemical industry. In this study, an amidoxime-fiber-supported Pd catalyst is prepared from polyacrylonitrile fiber, hydroxylamine hydrochloride, and PdCl2. The morphology and structure of amidoxime-fiber-supported Pd are characterized by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectrometer, X-ray diffraction, and inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometer. A packed-bed flow reactor is designed and employed for catalysis of the Heck reaction of iodobenzene and styrene based on the amidoxime-fiber-supported Pd catalyst. The effects of reaction temperature, flow rate, cycle time, and reactant concentration on the conversion and yield are investigated. The results show that the optimal conditions for the continuous-flow single reactor are 70 °C, iodobenzene concentration of 30 mmol L−1 in a solution of N,N-dimethylformamide (100 mL) under continuous flow at a flow rate of 2 mL min−1. The catalyst showed good activity and stability after a continuous operation time of 50 h, with catalytic activity 2.21 times higher than that obtained with traditional batch reaction. Furthermore, we have established a new flow reaction system based on the numbering-up of reactors with a parallel connection. The catalytic efficiency of four parallel reactors is four times higher than that of a single reactor. Kinetic studies reveal that the reaction has low activation energy (8.8771 kJ mol−1), indicating that amidoxime-fiber-supported Pd has good catalytic activity. This research provides an alternative pathway for highly efficient Heck coupling in continuous flow.

Abstract
Stabilized arylzinc iodides, synthesized by direct insertion of zinc into the corresponding halides, were used as nucleophiles into an acylative Negishi coupling reaction to synthesize chalcones. The reaction conditions were optimized to afford optimal results on a model reaction and then applied to synthesize nine compounds. Esters, chlorides, electron-rich, electron-poor and sterically hindered substrates are well tolerated and even heteroaryl derivatives can be synthesized.

Abstract
Resveratrol is a polyphenolic antioxidant whose possible health benefits include anticarcinogenic, antiaging, and antimicrobial properties that have gained significant attention. The compound is well accepted by individuals and has been commonly used as a nutraceutical in recent decades. Its widespread usage makes it essential to study as a single agent as well as in combination with traditional prescription antibiotics as regards to antimicrobial properties. Resveratrol demonstrates the action of antimicrobials against a remarkable bacterial diversity, viruses, and fungus. This report explains resveratrol as an all-natural antimicrobial representative. It may modify the bacterial virulence qualities resulting in decreased toxic substance production, biofilm inhibition, motility reduction, and quorum sensing disturbance. Moreover, in conjunction with standard antibiotics, resveratrol improves aminoglycoside efficacy versus Staphylococcus aureus, while it antagonizes the deadly function of fluoroquinolones against S. aureus and also Escherichia coli. The present study aimed to thoroughly review and study the antimicrobial potency of resveratrol, expected to help researchers pave the way for solving antimicrobial resistance.

Abstract
Resveratrol is a natural phytoestrogen produced by plants to protect themselves from injury, UV irradiation, and fungal attack. The main active structure is E-resveratrol, which has many pharmacological activities. As the structure of resveratrol is similar to the natural estrogen 17β-estradiol and the synthetic estrogen E-diethylstilbestrol, resveratrol is used in reducing the incidence of breast cancer. However, the therapeutic application of resveratrol is limited due to its low bioavailability. To improve its bioavailability and pharmacological activity, some resveratrol derivatives have been designed and synthesized by substitutions of methoxy, hydroxyl, and other functional groups or heterocyclic esterification either on the "A" or "B" ring, and double bonds were replaced by imine bonds and isometric heterocycles such as naphthyl and imidazole, or synthetic resveratrol oligomers. The structures, synthetic routes, and evaluation of the biological activities of these compounds are discussed. These are aimed at providing some references for the study of resveratrol derivatives in anti-breast cancer treatment.
