Abstract
The traditional Ordered Weighting Average (OWA) operator is suitable for aggregating numerical attributes. However, this method fails when the attribute values are given in a linguistic form. In this paper, a novel aggregating method named Entropy and Probability based Fuzzy Induced Ordered Weighted Averaging (EPFIOWA) is proposed for Gaussian-fuzzy-number-based linguistic attributes. A method is first designed to obtain a reasonable weighting vector based on probability distribution and maximal entropy. Such optimal weighting vectors can be obtained under any given level of optimism, and the symmetric properties of the proposed model are proven. The linguistic attributes of EPFIOWA are represented by Gaussian fuzzy numbers because of their concise form and good operational properties. In particular, the arithmetic operations and distance measures of Gaussian fuzzy numbers required by EPFIOWA are given systematically. A novel method to obtain the order-inducing variables of linguistic attribute values is proposed in the EPFIOWA operators by calculating the distances between any Gaussian fuzzy number and a set of ordered grades. Finally, two numerical examples are used to illustrate the proposed approach, with evaluation results consistent with the observed situation.

Abstract
Dempster-Shafer evidence theory is widely used in modeling and reasoning uncertain information in real applications. Recently, a new perspective of modeling uncertain information with the negation of evidence was proposed and has attracted a lot of attention. Both the basic probability assignment (BPA) and the negation of BPA in the evidence theory framework can model and reason uncertain information. However, how to address the uncertainty in the negation information modeled as the negation of BPA is still an open issue. Inspired by the uncertainty measures in Dempster-Shafer evidence theory, a method of measuring the uncertainty in the negation evidence is proposed. The belief entropy named Deng entropy, which has attracted a lot of attention among researchers, is adopted and improved for measuring the uncertainty of negation evidence. The proposed measure is defined based on the negation function of BPA and can quantify the uncertainty of the negation evidence. In addition, an improved method of multi-source information fusion considering uncertainty quantification in the negation evidence with the new measure is proposed. Experimental results on a numerical example and a fault diagnosis problem verify the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed method in measuring and fusing uncertain information.

Abstract
Wind power is a typical clean and renewable energy, which has been widely regarded as one of the replaceable energies in many countries. Wind turbine is the key equipment to generate wind power. It is necessary to evaluate the risks of each stage of the wind turbine with regard to occupational health and safety. In this study, the stage of production of life cycle of wind turbine is considered. The aim of this study is to propose a new method to identify and evaluate the risk factors based on strengths-weaknesses-opportunities-threats (SWOT) analysis and D number theory, named D-SWOT method. A wind turbine firm is used to demonstrate the detailed steps of the proposed method. SWOT is conducted to identify the risk factors of production stage of the wind turbine company. Experts are invited to perform the risk assessment, and D number theory is carried out to do the processes of information representation and integration. After that, some suggestions are provided to the company to lower the risks. The D-SWOT method obtains the same results as the previous method of hesitant fuzzy linguistic term set (HFLTS). Compared with HFLTS method, D-SWOT method simplifies the process of information processing, and D-SWOT method is more intuitional and concise. Besides, a property of pignistic probability transformation of D number theory (DPPT) is proposed in the manuscript, which extends D number theory and has been used in the process of decision making of D-SWOT.

Abstract
To solve the problem of the missing data of radiator during the aerial war, and to address the problem that traditional algorithms rely on prior knowledge and specialized systems too much, an algorithm for radiator threat evaluation with missing data based on improved Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) has been proposed. The null estimation algorithm based on Induced Ordered Weighted Averaging (IOWA) is adopted to calculate the aggregate value for predicting missing data. The attribute reduction is realized by using the Rough Sets (RS) theory, and the attribute weights are reasonably allocated with the theory of Shapley. Threat degrees can be achieved through quantization and ranking of radiators by constructing a TOPSIS decision space. Experiment results show that this algorithm can solve the incompleteness of radiator threat evaluation, and the ranking result is in line with the actual situation. Moreover, the proposed algorithm is highly automated and does not rely on prior knowledge and expert systems.

Abstract
Dempster-Shafer evidence theory (DST) has shown its great advantages to tackle uncertainty in a wide variety of applications. However, how to quantify the information-based uncertainty of basic probability assignment (BPA) with belief entropy in DST framework is still an open issue. The main work of this study is to define a new belief entropy for measuring uncertainty of BPA. The proposed belief entropy has two components. The first component is based on the summation of the probability mass function (PMF) of single events contained in each BPA, which are obtained using plausibility transformation. The second component is the same as the weighted Hartley entropy. The two components could effectively measure the discord uncertainty and non-specificity uncertainty found in DST framework, respectively. The proposed belief entropy is proved to satisfy the majority of the desired properties for an uncertainty measure in DST framework. In addition, when BPA is probability distribution, the proposed method could degrade to Shannon entropy. The feasibility and superiority of the new belief entropy is verified according to the results of numerical experiments.

A Neutrosophic Set Based Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Multi-Stage Fault Template Data. Symmetry (Basel) 2018. Abstract
Fault diagnosis is an important issue in various fields and aims to detect and identify the faults of systems, products, and processes. The cause of a fault is complicated due to the uncertainty of the actual environment. Nevertheless, it is difficult to consider uncertain factors adequately with many traditional methods. In addition, the same fault may show multiple features and the same feature might be caused by different faults. In this paper, a neutrosophic set based fault diagnosis method based on multi-stage fault template data is proposed to solve this problem. For an unknown fault sample whose fault type is unknown and needs to be diagnosed, the neutrosophic set based on multi-stage fault template data is generated, and then the generated neutrosophic set is fused via the simplified neutrosophic weighted averaging (SNWA) operator. Afterwards, the fault diagnosis results can be determined by the application of defuzzification method for a defuzzying neutrosophic set. Most kinds of uncertain problems in the process of fault diagnosis, including uncertain information and inconsistent information, could be handled well with the integration of multi-stage fault template data and the neutrosophic set. Finally, the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed method are demonstrated via an illustrative example.

Abstract
As an important way to help express the preference relation between alternatives, distributed preference relation (DPR) can represent the preferred, non-preferred, indifferent, and uncertain degrees of one alternative over another simultaneously. DPR, however, is unavailable in some situations where a decision maker cannot provide the precise degrees of one alternative over another due to lack of knowledge, experience, and data. In this paper, to address this issue, we propose interval-valued DPR (IDPR) and present its properties of validity and normalization. Through constructing two optimization models, an IDPR matrix is transformed into a score matrix to facilitate the comparison between any two alternatives. The properties of the score matrix are analyzed. To guarantee the rationality of the comparisons between alternatives derived from the score matrix, the additive consistency of the score matrix is developed. In terms of these, IDPR is applied to model and solve multiple criteria group decision making (MCGDM) problem. Particularly, the relationship between the parameters for the consistency of the score matrix associated with each decision maker and those for the consistency of the score matrix associated with the group of decision makers is analyzed. A manager selection problem is investigated to demonstrate the application of IDPRs to MCGDM problems.

Abstract
Dempster⁻Shafer evidence theory is widely applied in various fields related to information fusion. However, how to avoid the counter-intuitive results is an open issue when combining highly conflicting pieces of evidence. In order to handle such a problem, a weighted combination method for conflicting pieces of evidence in multi-sensor data fusion is proposed by considering both the interplay between the pieces of evidence and the impacts of the pieces of evidence themselves. First, the degree of credibility of the evidence is determined on the basis of the modified cosine similarity measure of basic probability assignment. Then, the degree of credibility of the evidence is adjusted by leveraging the belief entropy function to measure the information volume of the evidence. Finally, the final weight of each piece of evidence generated from the above steps is obtained and adopted to modify the bodies of evidence before using Dempster’s combination rule. A numerical example is provided to illustrate that the proposed method is reasonable and efficient in handling the conflicting pieces of evidence. In addition, applications in data classification and motor rotor fault diagnosis validate the practicability of the proposed method with better accuracy.

Abstract
In the field of complex networks, how to identify influential nodes is a significant issue in analyzing the structure of a network. In the existing method proposed to identify influential nodes based on the local dimension, the global structure information in complex networks is not taken into consideration. In this paper, a node information dimension is proposed by synthesizing the local dimensions at different topological distance scales. A case study of the Netscience network is used to illustrate the efficiency and practicability of the proposed method.
