Abstract
PURPOSE To investigate the potential associations between unhealthy chrononutrition behaviors (meal timing, frequency, and regularity) and their combined impact on cardiometabolic risk in adolescence. METHODS Chrononutrition behaviors were assessed using a 7-day ecological momentary assessment (EMA). The unhealthy chrononutrition score (ranging from 0 to 8) was determined based on late meal timing, low meal frequency, and meal irregularity. The cardiometabolic (CM)-risk z score was calculated utilizing age- and sex-specific reference values for waist circumference (WC), mean arterial pressure (MAP), homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), triglycerides (TG), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). Restricted cubic splines were employed to estimate the dose-response relationships between the unhealthy chrononutrition score and outcomes. RESULTS Among 458 participants [mean (SD) age, 17.9 (0.7) years; 340 (74.2%) Female], 14.3% had an unhealthy chrononutrition score ≥ 6, who exhibited higher MAP (β = 3.86; 95% CI 1.24, 6.47), higher CM-risk scores (β = 1.80; 95% CI 0.70, 2.90), and lower HDL-C (β = 0.18; 95% CI - 0.30, - 0.06), as opposed to those with a healthy score ≤ 2 (n = 136, 31.4%). Moreover, late breakfast (later than 9AM compared to earlier than 8AM), low meal frequency (eating two or fewer meals versus three meals a day), and meal irregularity (score of 3-5 compared to a good score of 6-9) were associated with an increased risk of CM-risk outcomes. CONCLUSION The findings suggest a clustering of unhealthy chrononutrition behaviors that collectively impact cardiometabolic health in adolescence. Further prospective and interventional investigations is necessary to validate these findings and explore the underlying mechanisms.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Loss of control eating is more likely to occur in the evening and is uniquely associated with distress. No studies have examined the effect of treatment on within-day timing of loss of control eating severity. We examined whether time of day differentially predicted loss of control eating severity at baseline (i.e. pretreatment), end-of-treatment, and 6-month follow-up for individuals with binge-eating disorder (BED), hypothesizing that loss of control eating severity would increase throughout the day pretreatment and that this pattern would be less pronounced following treatment. We explored differential treatment effects of cognitive-behavioral guided self-help (CBTgsh) and Integrative Cognitive-Affective Therapy (ICAT). METHODS Individuals with BED (N = 112) were randomized to receive CBTgsh or ICAT and completed a 1-week ecological momentary assessment protocol at baseline, end-of-treatment, and 6-month follow-up to assess loss of control eating severity. We used multilevel models to assess within-day slope trajectories of loss of control eating severity across assessment periods and treatment type. RESULTS Within-day increases in loss of control eating severity were reduced at end-of-treatment and 6-month follow-up relative to baseline. Evening acceleration of loss of control eating severity was greater at 6-month follow-up relative to end-of-treatment. Within-day increases in loss of control severity did not differ between treatments at end-of-treatment; however, evening loss of control severity intensified for individuals who received CBTgsh relative to those who received ICAT at 6-month follow-up. CONCLUSIONS Findings suggest that treatment reduces evening-shifted loss of control eating severity, and that this effect may be more durable following ICAT relative to CBTgsh.

Abstract
Studies have confirmed the link between altered dietary intake and eating disorders (EDs), although no systematic assessment of this research exists. Rigorous synthesis of dietary intake in anorexia nervosa (AN), bulimia nervosa (BN), binge-eating disorder (BED), and similar EDs is needed to explore similarities and differences. In accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement, we conducted a systematic review and quantitative synthesis of studies of dietary intake. Searches of three electronic databases resulted in thirty-nine included studies. Meta-analyses of subsets of these studies were undertaken to summarise macronutrient intake across AN, BN, and BED. Study quality was assessed using the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Quality Criteria Checklist, with ratings either Positive (k = 27) or Neutral (k = 12). Adults with AN had low energy intake and those with BED reported elevated macronutrient intake. Individuals with BN reported wide variation in energy intake, including some of the highest estimates. Individuals with AN were likely to under-consume key micronutrients, with sodium potentially over-consumed in BN and BED. Vitamin D was under-consumed across all disorders. This meta-analysis highlights important diagnostic differences and synthesises dietary intake in EDs, with particular relevance to risk assessment and treatment.

Abstract
Loss of control (LOC) is a hallmark feature of binge eating that is associated with significant distress and impairment. Despite the central role diurnal rhythms may play in the development and maintenance of LOC eating, diurnal patterns of LOC remain understudied and poorly characterised. We assessed the diurnal timing of LOC in a sample of females with bulimia nervosa and binge-eating disorder who participated in a study assessing the impact of bright light exposure on binge eating, hypothesising that higher ratings of LOC would be more likely to occur later in the day. Participants (N = 34) completed a 22-day protocol during which they provided LOC ratings six times daily. Kernel density estimates describing LOC ratings across times of day were compared using permutation tests of equality. Results demonstrated an evening shift in LOC, wherein higher LOC was more likely to occur later in the day and lower LOC was more likely to occur earlier in the day. This study is the first to clearly depict the phenomenon that the likelihood of experiencing higher LOC increases throughout the day, pointing to the potential role diurnal rhythms, such as disrupted appetitive rhythms or mood variations, may play in maintaining binge eating.
