Abstract
The removal of Cr(VI) and Pb(II) from wastewater is one of the methods to ensure water safety. However, it is still a difficult point to design efficient and selective adsorbent. In this work, Cr(VI) and Pb(II) were removed from water by a new metal-organic frameworks material (MOF-DFSA) with numerous adsorption sites. The max adsorption capacities of MOF-DFSA were 188.12 mg/g for Cr(VI) after 120 min and 349.09 mg/g for Pb(II) within 30 min. MOF-DFSA showed good selectivity and reusability after four cycles. The adsorption of MOF-DFSA was an irreversible process with multi-site coordination, and an active site adsorbed 1.798 Cr (VI) and 0.395 Pb (II). Kinetic fitting showed that the adsorption was chemisorption and surface diffusion was the main limiting step. Thermodynamic showed that Cr(VI) adsorption was enhanced at higher temperatures by spontaneous processes while Pb(II) was weakened. The chelation and electrostatic interaction of the hydroxyl and nitrogen-containing groups of MOF-DFSA with Cr(VI) and Pb(II) is the predominant mechanism, while the reduction of Cr(VI) also play an important role in adsorption. In conclusion, MOF-DFSA was a sorbent that can be used for the removal of Cr(VI) and Pb(II).

Abstract
Abstract
In the last decade, there was observed a growing demand for both n-butanol as a potential fuel or fuel additive, and propylene as the only raw material for production of alcohol and other more bulky propylene chemical derivatives with faster growing outputs (polymers, propylene oxide, and acrylic acid). The predictable oilfield depletion and the European Green Deal adoption stimulated interest in alternative processes for n-butanol production, especially those involving bio-based materials. Their commercialization will promote additional market penetration of n-butanol for its application as a basic chemical. We analyze briefly the current status of two most advanced bio-based processes, i.e. ethanol–to-n-butanol and acetone–butanol–ethanol (ABE) fermentation. In the second part of the review, studies of n-butanol and ABE conversion to valuable products are considered with an emphasis on the most perspective catalytic systems and variants of the future processes realization.

Abstract
This study is aimed at preparing C8–C16 alkene through oligomerization of a butene mixture using nickel oxide supported on mesoporous aluminosilicate. Mesoporous aluminosilicate with an ordered structure was successfully synthesized from HZSM-5 zeolite by combining a top-down and a bottom-up method. MMZZSM-5 catalyst showed much higher butene conversion and C8–C16 yield in the butene oligomerization reaction than those with HZSM-5. This is attributed to the pore geometry of MMZZSM-5, which is more beneficial for internal diffusion of reactants, reaction intermediates, and products. The ordered channel-like mesopores were maintained after the nickel-loading on MMZZSM-5. The yield for C8–C16 hydrocarbons over NiO/MMZZSM-5 was higher than that of MMZZSM-5 catalyst, which seemed to be due to higher acid strength from a higher ratio of Lewis acid to Brønsted acid. The present study reveals that a mesoporous NiO/MMZZSM-5 catalyst with a large amount of Lewis acid sites is one of the potential catalysts for efficient generation of aviation fuel through the butene oligomerization.
