Abstract
The synthesis of ketones has been a long focus of chemistry research, on account of its unique reactivity. Herein, we report a simple light-driven photocatalyst-free synthesis of β, δ-functionalized ketones from aldehydes, using inexpensive and commercially abundant feedstock chemicals. This reaction is enabled by the direct acyl radical generation via hydrogen atom transfer and the subsequent radical addition process, avoiding the need for prefunctionalized substrates and organometallic reagent.

Abstract
We present herein a pyridinium-masked enol as a versatile platform to produce ketones bearing tri-, di-, and monofluoromethyl in the presence of [Ir(dF(Me)ppy)]2(dtbbpy)]PF6 under blue light (455 nm) irradiation. By simply changing the F-source, α-trifluoromethyl ketones, α-difluoromethyl ketones, and α-monofluoromethyl ketones could be easily prepared in moderate to excellent yields in one step, making it a practical tool for the synthesis of fluorine-containing ketones. In addition, the pyridinium-masked enol could also be extended to the synthesis of sulfonyl ketones. The findings of the present protocol contribute to the arsenal of fluorine chemistry and might have potential applications in the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries.

Abstract
Here we report facile and manipulable access to methylenebisamide derivatives via visible-light-driven radical cascade processes incorporating C(sp3)-H activation and C-N/N-O cleavage. Mechanistic studies reveal that a traditional Ir-catalyzed photoredox pathway and a novel copper-induced complex-photolysis pathway are both involved, contributing to activating the inert N-methoxyamides and rendering the valuable bisamides. This approach exhibits many advantages, including mild reaction conditions, broad scope and functional group tolerance, and competitive step economy. Given the mechanistic plenitude and operational simplicity, we believe this package deal paves a promising way for the synthesis of valuable nitrogen-containing molecules.

Abstract
An efficient method for the synthesis of 1,4-ketoaldehydes via the cross-coupling of N-alkenoxyheteroarenium salts and primary aldehydes is developed. This method provides a broad substrate scope and excellent functional group compatibility. The utility of this method is demonstrated via the diverse transformations of heterocyclic compounds and cycloheptanone, as well as the late-stage functionalization of biorelevant molecules.
