Abstract
This article describes the synthesis, along with the full photophysical and computational characterization, of a series of push-pull boron complexes comprising a sterically hindered donor connected to a pyrimidine-based O^N^O boron chelate. The dimethylacridan-functionalized fluorophore appears to be the most emissive in the series, both in toluene solution and in the solid state (as a powder), displaying thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emission in degassed media due to a small singlet-triplet energy gap. This result is in line with a previously reported pyridine analogue, which also exhibits delayed emission. Incorporation of this TADF compound into an organic light-emitting diode led to the observation of intense electroluminescence, with EQEmax values reaching 9.7% at a 5 wt% doping concentration.

Abstract
The exploration of the photophysical properties of push-pull molecules incorporating pyrimidine rings as electron-attracting moieties in their structure continues to be a fascinating area of investigation. A thorough examination of these properties not only contributes to fundamental knowledge but also provides crucial insights for the rational design of emissive materials in prospective applications. In this context, this work conducts an in-depth analysis of four families of 4,6-bis(arylvinyl)pyrimidines, evaluating the influence of substituents on both the aryl groups and position 2 of the pyrimidine ring. While previous research has primarily focused on solution studies, this work emphasizes the importance of examining solid-state photophysics. Through a multidisciplinary approach encompassing optical techniques, x-ray diffraction, and quantum chemical calculations, a comprehensive understanding of the structure-property relationships is achieved. This study underscores the intricate interplay between molecular structure, aggregation, and fluorescence behavior in pyrimidines, offering valuable insights with broader implications beyond academic realms.

Abstract
In this study, a novel easy-to-prepare diethylaminophenol appended pyrimidine bis hydrazone (HD) has been designed and developed. The probe exhibits excellent sequential sensing characteristics towards Al3+ and PPi ions. The emission studies, various spectroscopic techniques and lifetime results have been utilized to understand the binding mechanism of HD with Al3+ ions and, to discover the specificity as well as the efficacy of the probe in sensing Al3+ ions. The good association constant in addition to the lower detection limit values makes the probe effective for the detection of Al3+. The in-situ produced HD-Al3+ ensemble could consecutively detect PPi via a turn-off fluorescence response and the selectivity and sensitivity characteristics of the generated ensemble towards PPi were described based on the demetallation approach. The overall sensing property of HD was perfectly employed for constructing logic gates, real water, and tablet applications. Paper strips, as well as cotton-swab experiments, were also conducted inorder to check the practical utility of the synthesized probe.

Abstract
In this contribution, we designed a 4,6-distyrylpyrimidine chromophore with diphenylamino electron-donating groups and biphenylenevinylene extended π-conjugated linkers. This compound has been synthesized in two steps from 4,6-dimethyl-2-phenylpyrimidine by a double Knoevenagel reaction with 4-bromobenzaldehyde followed by a double Suzuki–Miyaura cross coupling reaction with 4-(N,N-diphenylamino)phenylboronic acid. This compound exhibits intense emission in moderately polar solvents as well as in solid state. This compound is characterized by an intense emission solvatochromism with emission ranging from blue in non polar n-heptane to orange in dichloromethane. This chromophore is also sensible to the presence of acid with a bathochromic shift of the charge transfer absorption band and emission quenching.
