Abstract
Breast cancer, which is considered the most common type of cancer among women worldwide, is estimated to reach 4.4 million cases in 2070. Early diagnosis has become very important to prevent this expected increase. Various traditional methods, such as mammography, biopsy, enzyme immunoassay (EI), liquid biopsy, immunohistochemistry (IGH), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) are used to diagnose breast cancer, but the fact that these methods are very expensive, have low sensitivity, and cause mutations in tissues due to X-rays has led researchers to discover faster, more cost-effective, and easily detectable methods. In particular, increased levels of new blood-based biomarkers in the circulation can be detected sensitively and selectively by electrochemical methods to facilitate early disease screening and rapid diagnosis. This comprehensive review focuses on the prevalence and pathology of breast cancer, clinical diagnosis of breast cancer, and electrochemical sensors of molybdenum-based compounds for the detection of various breast cancer biomarkers in recent years. Electrochemical analysis studies carried out in the field in recent years are compiled and are considered as aptamer-based, nucleotide-based, and immunosensors. The chemical properties of molybdenum compounds are discussed, and the modifications of these compounds to the electrode surface are discussed under 4 headings: drop casting, electrodeposition, atomic layer deposition, and electrophoretic deposition.

Abstract
In the past few decades, supercapacitors (SCs) have emerged as good and reliable energy storage devices due to their impressive power density, better charge-discharge rates, and high cycling stability. The main components of a supercapacitor are its electrode design and composition. Many compositions are tested for electrode preparations, which can provide good performance. Still, research is widely progressing in developing optimum high-performance electrodes. Metal chalcogenides have recently gained a lot of interest for application in supercapacitors due to their intriguing physical and chemical properties, unique crystal structures, tuneable interlayer spacings, broad oxidation states, etc. MoSe2, belonging to the family of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDs), has also been well explored recently for application in supercapacitors due to its similar properties to 2D materials. In this review, we briefly discuss supercapacitors and their classification. Various available synthesis routes for MoSe2 preparation are summarized. A detailed assessment of the electrochemical performances of different MoSe2 composites, including cyclic voltammetry (CV) analysis and galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) analysis, is given for symmetric and asymmetric supercapacitors. The limitations of MoSe2 and its composites are mentioned briefly. The use of machine learning methods and algorithms for supercapacitor applications is discussed for forecasting valuable details. Finally, a summary is provided, along with conclusions.

Construction of an electrochemical pH sensor using one-pot synthesis of a molybdenum diselenide/nitrogen doped graphene oxide screen-printed electrode. RSC Adv 2024; 14:14616-14623. Abstract
In this study, a one-pot synthesis of a molybdenum diselenide/nitrogen-doped graphene oxide (MoSe2/NGO) composite was demonstrated and used for the fabrication of an electrochemical pH sensor. The MoSe2/NGO composite was characterized using powder X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis. The electrochemical behavior at different pH values was determined by recording the open-circuit potential. When applied for pH detection, the MoSe2/NGO modified screen-printed electrode (SPE) showed good linearity with a sensitivity of 61.3 mV pH-1 over a wide pH range of 2-14. In addition, the pH sensor exhibited a remarkably stable response, high reproducibility, and selectivity. The sensor was used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of real food and beverage samples. The results for these samples showed a relative error of less than 10% compared with the results obtained with the commercial pH meter. The portable sensor produced by screen printing electrodes paves the way for the development of simple, cost-effective, real-time, and robust pH sensors for the pH analysis of various sample matrices for clinical diagnostics, biosensing, and cost-effective applications.

Abstract
Supercapacitors have gained significant attention owing to their exceptional performance in terms of energy density and power density, making them suitable for various applications, such as mobile devices, electric vehicles, and renewable energy storage systems. This review focuses on recent advancements in the utilization of 0-dimensional to 3-dimensional carbon network materials as electrode materials for high-performance supercapacitor devices. This study aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the potential of carbon-based materials in enhancing the electrochemical performance of supercapacitors. The combination of these materials with other cutting-edge materials, such as Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDs), MXenes, Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs), graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Black Phosphorus (BP), and perovskite nanoarchitectures, has been extensively studied to achieve a wide operating potential window. The combination of these materials synchronizes their different charge-storage mechanisms to attain practical and realistic applications. The findings of this review indicate that hybrid composite electrodes with 3D structures exhibit the best potential in terms of overall electrochemical performance. However, this field faces several challenges and promising research directions. This study aimed to highlight these challenges and provide insights into the potential of carbon-based materials in supercapacitor applications.

Abstract
As globally, the main focus of the researchers is to develop novel electrode materials that exhibit high energy and power density for efficient performance energy storage devices. This review covers the up-to-date progress achieved in transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) (e.g. MoS2, WS2, MoSe2,and WSe2) as electrode material for supercapacitors (SCs). The TMDs have remarkable properties like large surface area, high electrical conductivity with variable oxidation states. These properties enable the TMDs as the most promising candidates to store electrical energy via hybrid charge storage mechanisms. Consequently, this review article provides a detailed study of TMDs structure, properties, and evolution. The characteristics technique and electrochemical performances of all the efficient TMDs are highlighted meticulously. In brief, the present review article shines a light on the structural and electrochemical properties of TMD electrodes. Furthermore, the latest fabricated TMDs based symmetric/asymmetric SCs have also been reported.
