Novel prussian blue@Carbon-dots hybrid thin film: The impact of carbon-dots on material structure and electrochromic performance

Preparation and Performance Study of MXene-Regulated Ethylene Glycol-Induced WO3 Film

This study introduces the development of a W-M1.0 electrochromic film, characterized by a "coral"-like TiO2@WO3 heterostructure, synthesized via a hydrothermal process leveraging the inherent instability of MXene. The film showcases exceptional electrochromic performance, with a coloring response time of 2.8 s, a bleaching response time of 4.6 s, and a high coloring efficiency of 137.02 cm2C-1. It also demonstrates a superior light modulation ability of 73.83% at 1033 nm. Notably, the W-M1.0 film exhibits remarkable cyclic stability, retaining over 90% of its initial light modulation capacity after 4000 cycles, outperforming many existing electrochromic materials. The film's enhanced performance is credited to its coral-like structure, which boosts the specific surface area and promotes ion transport, and the TiO2@WO3 heterojunctions, which enhance charge transfer and stabilize the material. Devices fabricated with the W-M1.0 film as the cathode and a PB film as the anode exhibit a seamless transition from dark blue to colorless, underscoring their potential for smart window and dynamic glass applications.

Bletilla Striata polysaccharides thermosensitive gel for photothermal treatment of bacterial infection

Skin is the most important defense shield which touched external environment directly. Effectively clearing microbes in infected wound via non-antibiotic therapy is crucial for the promotion of recovery in complex biological environments, and the wound healing is a crucial process after sterilization to avoid superinfection. Herein, a kind of Prussian blue-based photothermal responsive gel, Bletilla striata polysaccharide-mingled, isatin-functionalized Prussian blue gel (PB-ISA/BSP gel) was reported for effective treatment of bacterial infection and wound healing. The introduction of effective components of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), isatin (ISA), enhanced the efficiency of sterilization synergistically. Furthermore, the process of wound healing was promoted by Bletilla striata polysaccharides (BSP). PB-ISA@BSP had a considerable antibacterial rate with 98.5 % under an 808 nm laser for 10 min in vitro. Besides, PB-ISA/BSP gel showed an effective antibacterial efficacy in vivo and a fast wound healing rate as well. The as-prepared functional particles can invade and destroy bacteria membrane to kill microbes. This work highlights that PB-ISA/BSP gel is a promising antibacterial agent based on synergistically enhanced photothermal effect and wound healing promotion ability and provides inspiration for future therapy based on the synergy between photothermal agent and active components in TCM.

Prussian Blue and Carbon-Dot Hybrids for Enhanced Electrochromic Performance

In this study, Prussian blue@Carbon-dot (PB@C-dot) hybrids have been developed by one-step hydrothermal method. The incorporation of C-dots into Prussian blue thin film as a way of improving its electrochromic performance was investigated. The structure of the PB@C-dot hybrid was characterized through X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The electrochromic properties showed that incorporation of 10 mL C-dots into the film showed higher optical contrast of 1.6 and superior coloration/bleaching response of 10 and 3 s. It is proposed that the C-dots component used in the construction of the PB@C-dot hybrid plays a key role to achieve superior electrochromic performance.
