Abstract
Developing an efficient method for screening Ochratoxin A (OTA) in agriculture products is vital to ensure food safety and human health. However, the complex food matrix seriously affects the sensitivity and accuracy. To address this issue, we designed a novel molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) electrochemical sensor based on multiwalled carbon nanotube-modified niobium carbide (Nb2C-MWCNTs) with the aid of the density functional theory (DFT). In this design, a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was first modified by Nb2C-MWCNTs heterostructure. Afterward, the MIP layer was prepared, with ortho-toluidine as a functional monomer selected via DFT and OTA acting as a template on the surface of Nb2C-MWCNTs/GCE using in-situ electropolymerization. Electrochemical tests and physical characterization revealed that Nb2C-MWCNTs improved the sensor's active surface area and electron transmission capacity. Nb2C-MWCNTs had a good synergistic effect on MIP, endowing the sensor with high sensitivity and specific recognition of OTA in complex food matrix systems. The MIP sensor showed a wide linear range from 0.04 to 10.0 μM with a limit of detection (LOD) of 3.6 nM. Moreover, it presented good repeatability and stability for its highly antifouling effect on OTA. In real sample analysis, the recoveries, ranging from 89.77% to 103.70%, agreed well with the results obtained by HPLC methods, suggesting the sensor has good accuracy and high potential in practical applications.

Abstract
Immunochemical methods are highly deployed in analytical laboratories worldwide for monitoring the incidence of mycotoxins in the food chain. Nevertheless, most conventional immunoassays for ochratoxin A (OTA), including commercial kits, show limitations to robustly determine this mycotoxin in grape-derived products below regulated levels (2 ng/mL). Herein, two rapid tests for sensitive OTA determination in wine and must were developed capitalizing on a collection of bioconjugates from innovative synthetic haptens and monoclonal antibodies with subnanomolar affinity. The ELISA (LOD = 8 pg/mL) showed excellent performance in recovery studies, and it was applied to survey commercial wines and musts for OTA contamination. Concerning LFIA, validation according to the Commission Regulation 519/2014 showed that samples exceeding 2 ng/mL were properly scored as uncompliant. More importantly, illegal samples provided a complete inhibition of the test signal, making this test an easy-to-use, rapid, and convenient screening method for in-house control of OTA in wineries.

A signal amplification of p DNA@Ag 2S based photoelectrochemical competitive sensor for the sensitive detection of OTA in microfluidic devices. Biosens Bioelectron 2020; 168:112503. Abstract
In this work, a signal amplification competitive-type photoelectrochemical system comprised of bismuth sulfide/bismuth oxyiodide/zinc oxide (Bi2S3/BiOI/ZnO) nano-array as platform and Ag2S-modified aptamers probe DNA (p DNA@Ag2S) as competition content for rapid and sensitive detection of OTA in microfluidic devices. The BiOI nano-array was first growth on surfaces of ZnO by a simple electrodeposited method, which provided large specific surface area and high stability to solve distribution of sensing platform and loose of combination of sensing substrate. Then, the Bi2S3 could be in-situ growth by self-sacrificial part Bi3+ of BiOI to form heterojunction without destroying the structure of the nano-array. A strong photocurrent intensity was acquired by the Bi2S3/BiOI/ZnO modified onto indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode, due to its good matching cascade band-edge levels could improve efficient separation of photo-generated e-/h+ pairs. After immobilizing with the capture DNA (c DNA) and the sequential hybridization of p DNA@Ag2S, the photocurrent intensity reduced obviously because part photo-generated electron transformed to Ag2S rather than Bi2S3/BiOI/ZnO electrode. Subsequently, the photocurrent intensity increased evident when immobilized the target OTA, owing to the OTA could bind the p DNA@Ag2S to form the specific-complex that were released from the electrode surface. Under optimal conditions, the prepared PEC microfluidic sensor exhibited a linear concentration of OTA from 0.01 pg/mL to 200 ng/mL with a low detection limit of 0.0035 pg/mL (S/N = 3). Furthermore, it achieved high sensitivity, good specificity, and acceptable stability and further provided an efficient method for sensitive detection of other target mycotoxins in practical application.

Abstract
A polyvinylpolypyrrolidone- (PVPP-) supported Brønsted acidic ionic liquid catalyst ([BsPVPP]HSO4) was synthesized by the reaction between SO3H-functionalized PVPP and H2SO4. The prepared catalyst was characterized by IR, XRD, FESEM, TG, and DSC. The catalytic activity of [BsPVPP]HSO4 in the preparation of tributyl citrate (TBC) by the esterification reaction between citric acid and n-butanol was investigated. Response surface methodology (RSM) was applied to optimize the process variables of the esterification reaction. The variables, including the reaction time, the n-butanol-to-citric acid mole ratio, the reaction temperature, and the catalyst amount, were optimized by a Box-Behnken design. Under optimized conditions, with a n-butanol-to-citric acid mole ratio of 5.2 : 1 and a reaction temperature of 120°C, the TBC yield reached 92.9% within 5.5 h in the presence of 6.6 wt% of catalyst; this result is in good agreement with the values predicted by the mathematical model. Moreover, the catalyst could be recycled four times with high catalytic activity.

Abstract
Ochratoxin A is a potent toxic fungal metabolite whose undesirable presence in food commodities constitutes a problem of public health, so it is strictly regulated and controlled. For the first time, two derivatives of ochratoxin A (OTAb and OTAd) functionalized through positions other than the native carboxyl group of the mycotoxin, have been synthesized in order to better mimic, during the immunization process, the steric and conformational properties of the target analyte. Additionally, two conventional haptens making use of that native carboxyl group for protein coupling (OTAe and OTAf) were also prepared as controls for the purpose of comparison. The immunological performance in rabbits of protein conjugates based on OTAb and OTAd overcome that of conjugates employing OTAe and OTAf as haptens. After immunization of mice with OTAb and OTAd conjugates, a collection of high-affinity monoclonal antibodies to ochratoxin A was generated. In particular, one of those antibodies, the so-called OTAb#311, is very likely the best antibody produced so far in terms of selectivity and affinity to ochratoxin A.
