Abstract
Cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms (cyanoHABs) are a natural phenomenon produced mainly by the interaction between natural and anthropogenic events. CyanoHABs are characterized by the production of cyanotoxins that can have harmful effects on different species within the food web and even affect human health. Among the most prevalent toxin groups worldwide are microcystins (MCs), anatoxins (ATXs), cylindrospermopsins (CYNs) and nodularins (NODs), which are characterized as toxins with hepatotoxic, neurotoxic, and cytotoxic effects. This review summarizes and analyzes research on the influence of cyanoHABs, the main toxin-producing cyanobacteria and the most prevalent cyanotoxins in freshwater and marine bodies, highlighting their global occurrence, toxicology, and bioaccumulation dynamics in vectors of the food web, and the main cases of acute and chronic intoxications in humans. This review is useful for understanding the dynamics of cyanoHABs' interaction with the ecosystem and their impact on human health, and how the implementation of a surveillance and management framework for cyanobacteria and cyanotoxins could generate vital information for stakeholders to establish health guidelines on the risks and hazards of cyanoHABs for the ecosystem and humans.

Abstract
This study investigated the abundance of zooplankton copepods and ostracods taxonomic groups in fish farms in Rondônia's Vale do Jamari and Centro-Leste microregions during the rainy and dry seasons. It also analyzed the correlation between zooplanktons abundance and the presence of acanthocephalan parasites. Conducted in 41 fish farms between November 2021 and September 2023, the study included water, zooplankton, and fish samples from 196 Colossoma macropomum. The results showed that 95% of the farms had fish infected with Neoechinorhynchus buttnerae, with varying parasitism levels. Georeferencing revealed higher parasite densities in the municipalities of Ariquemes, Monte Negro, Machadinho do Oeste, and Buritis (Vale do Jamari), as well as Urupá, Ji-Paraná, Ouro Preto do Oeste, and Teixeirópolis (Centro-Leste), with clusters of heat islands in the latter group. Water quality parameters were suitable for raising C. macropomum. The presence of ostracods and copepods could serve as indicators of parasitic infestations, highlighting the importance of monitoring zooplankton and parasite communities. This approach is valuable for detecting changes in artificial ecosystems, such as fish farms, which could lead to significant long-term effects.

Abstract
The interactions between bacteria and microalgae play pivotal roles in resource allocation, biomass accumulation, nutrient recycling, and species succession in aquatic systems, offering ample opportunities to solve several social problems. The escalating threat of harmful algal blooms (HABs) in the aquatic environment and the lack of cheap and eco-friendly algal-biomass processing methods have been among the main problems, demanding efficient and sustainable solutions. In light of this, the application of algicidal bacteria to control HABs and enhance algal biomass processing has been promoted in the past few decades as potentially suitable mechanisms to solve those problems. Hence, this comprehensive review aims to explore the diverse interaction modes between bacteria and microalgae, ranging from synergistic to antagonistic, and presents up-to-date information and in-depth analysis of their potential biotechnological applications, particularly in controlling HABs and enhancing microalgal biomass processing. For instance, several studies revealed that algicidal bacteria can effectively inhibit the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa, a notorious freshwater HAB species, with an antialgal efficiency of 24.87 %-98.8 %. The review begins with an overview of the mechanisms behind algae-bacteria interactions, including the environmental factors influencing these dynamics and their broader implications for aquatic ecosystems. It then provides a detailed analysis of the role of algicidal bacteria in controlling harmful algal blooms, as well as their role in bioflocculation and the pretreatment of microalgal biomass. Additionally, the review identifies and discusses the constraints and challenges in the biotechnological application of these interactions. By exploring the strategic use of algicidal bacteria, this review not only underscores their importance in maintaining aquatic environmental health but also in enhancing biomass processing efficiency. It offers valuable insights into future research avenues and the potential scalability of these applications, both in situ and at an industrial level.

Abstract
Cyanobacteria are aquatic microorganisms of high interest for research due to the production of secondary metabolites, among which the most popular are cyanotoxins, responsible for causing severe poisoning in humans and animals through ingestion or contact with contaminated water bodies. Monitoring the number of cyanobacteria in water and concentrations of secreted cyanotoxins with the aid of sensitive and reliable methods is considered the primary action for evaluating potentially toxic blooms. There is a great diversity of methods to detect and identify these types of micro contaminants in water, differing by the degree of sophistication and information provided. Mass Spectrometry stands out for its accuracy and sensitivity in identifying toxins, making it possible to identify and characterize toxins produced by individual species of cyanobacteria, in low quantities. In this review, we seek to update some information about cyanobacterial peptides, their effects on biological systems, and the importance of the main Mass Spectrometry methods used for detection, extraction, identification and monitoring of cyanotoxins.
