Abstract
Peyronie's disease (PD) is a superficial fibrosing disorder that causes penile deformity and can interfere with sexual intercourse and reproduction, as well as diminish quality of life. While the exact mechanism of PD is still being investigated, there is likely a genetic component to the predisposition to penile plaque formation. Ultimately, however, perturbations in normal wound healing and aberrant deposition of extracellular matrix components lead to fibrotic tissue deposition. Fibrosis in PD is regulated by a complex pathway of inflammatory and fibrotic mediators. Currently there are no treatments for PD that address an underlying cause or disease progression. In this review, we provide an overview of the known inflammatory and fibrotic mediators of PD and explore the pathophysiology of other human superficial fibrosing disorders to develop further insights into PD.

Abstract
Polyfibromatosis is a rare disease characterized by fibrosis manifesting in different locations. It is commonly characterized by palmar fibromatosis (Dupuytren's contracture) in variable combinations with plantar fibromatosis (Ledderhose's disease), penile fibromatosis (Peyronie's disease), knuckle pads, and keloids. There are only three reported cases of polyfibromatosis and keloids with erosive arthritis. We report one such case and review the existing literature on this rare syndrome.

Abstract
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic multisystem autoimmune disease of unknown etiology that most frequently involves the skin and the musculoskeletal system. In addition to the more common cutaneous manifestations, interstitial granulomatous dermatitis (IGD) may rarely occur in association with SLE or even be the first sign of the disease. We describe a 40-year-old man with SLE-associated IGD, and review all cases of SLE-associated IGD in the literature.

Abstract
The terms "palisaded neutrophilic and granulomatous dermatitis," "interstitial granulomatous dermatitis," and the subset "interstitial granulomatous drug reaction" are a source of confusion. There exists substantial overlap among the entities with few strict distinguishing features. We review the literature and highlight areas of distinction and overlap, and propose a streamlined diagnostic workup for patients presenting with this cutaneous reaction pattern. Because the systemic disease associations and requisite workup are similar, and the etiopathogenesis is poorly understood but likely similar among these entities, we propose the simplified unifying term "reactive granulomatous dermatitis" to encompass these entities.

Abstract
We report 2 patients with typical clinical findings of circumscribed morphea who on histopathologic examinations had histiocytes ("floating sign") surrounding individual collagen fibers in the dermis in addition to the key histologic findings of morphea. To our knowledge, there are no previous reports in the medical literature of such a phenomenon. Histopathological findings in idiopathic morphea and morphea-like conditions are reviewed.

Abstract
Polyfibromatosis is a rare fibrosing condition characterized by fibromatosis in different body areas and by keloid formation, and which can be associated with arthropathy and osteolysis. Familial occurrence has been described, but the cause remains unknown. Here, we describe a patient with characteristics of polyfibromatosis with arthropathy who had in addition severe conjunctival fibrosis, distinctive face, gingival overgrowth, and pigmented keloids. We discuss the resemblances and differences with polyfibromatosis and descriptions of other, similar patients. We conclude that at present it remains uncertain whether the patient has a variant of polyfibromatosis or a separate entity.

Abstract
We present a patient with keloid scars and Dupuytren's contracture comprising the polyfibromatosis syndrome; four members over three generations of his family are also affected. To our knowledge this is the first familial case reported of polyfibromatosis with this specific phenotypic presentation and probable X-linked recessive inheritance.

Abstract
Polyfibromatosis syndrome is a rare disease entity that is characterized by various clinical features such as palmar, plantar, and penile fibromatoses, keloid formations of the skin, and erosive arthropathy. Its precise pathophysiology or etiology remains unclear. In addition to distinctive diverse skin manifestations, patients with polyfibromatosis have been previously reported to show erosive arthropathy with significant limitation of movement at affected joints. However, the presence of erosive polyarthropathy in polyfibromatosis has not emphasized in previous cases. Here, we report a case of polyfibromatosis syndrome combined with painless massive structural destruction of hand and foot joints, and review the characteristics of erosive arthropathy in previous cases.
