Abstract
Blockchain technology has been widely advocated for security and privacy in IoT systems. However, a major impediment to its successful implementation is the lack of privacy protection regarding user access policy while accessing personal data in the IoT system. This work aims to preserve the privacy of user access policy by protecting the confidentiality and authenticity of the transmitted message while obtaining the necessary consents for data access. We consider a Modified Elliptic Curve Integrated Encryption Scheme (ECIES) to improve the security strength of the transmitted message. A secure hash function is used in conjunction with a key derivation function to modify the encryption procedure, which enhances the efficiency of the encryption and decryption by generating multiple secure keys through one master key. The proposed solution eliminates user-dependent variables by including transaction generation and verification in the calculation of computation time, resulting in increased system reliability. In comparison to previously established work, the security of the transmitted message is improved through a reduction of more than 12% in the correlation coefficient between the constructed request transaction and encrypted transaction, coupled with a decrease of up to 7% in computation time.

Biometric Cloud Services for Web-Based Examinations. INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND WEB ENGINEERING 2022. Abstract
Biometric recognition may be used in conjunction with human authentication on a smartphone to improve accuracy, reliability, and simplicity, and to aid in fraud prevention and user authentication. While single biometric authentication addresses environmental degradation and sensor noise limitations, and the single point of failure scenario in biometric systems can result in more robust biometric systems, multimodal biometric authentication can improve the accuracy of identification and recognition. The purpose of this research is to propose a facial and speech authentication system that is cloud-based and supports a web-based examination approach. The system enables students' biometrics to be registered, students to be recognized, and student recognition results to be reported. The confusion matrix is used to compare the results of positive and negative detection in various ways, including accuracy score, precision value, and recall value. Adaptive multimodal biometric authentication should be designed and evaluated for further research using the optimal weights for each biometric.

Abstract
AbstractIn recent times, advanced developments in healthcare sector result in the generation of massive amounts of electronic health records (EHRs). EHR system enables the data owner to control his/her data and share it with designated people. The vast volume of data in the healthcare system makes it difficult for data to ensure security and diagnostic processes. To resolve these issues, this paper develops a new hyperledger blockchain enabled secure medical data management with deep learning (DL)-based diagnosis (HBESDM-DLD) model. The presented model involves distinct stages of operations such as encryption, optimal key generation, hyperledger blockchain-based secure data management, and diagnosis. The presented model allows the user to control access to data, permit the hospital authorities to read/write data, and alert emergency contacts. For encryption, SIMON block cipher technique is applied. At the same time, to improve the efficiency of the SIMON technique, a group teaching optimization algorithm (GTOA) is applied for the optimal key generation of the SIMON technique. Moreover, the sharing of medical data takes place using multi-channel hyperledger blockchain that utilizes a blockchain for storing patient visit data and for the medical institutions to record links for the EHRs saved in external databases. Once the data are decrypted at the receiving end, finally, variational autoencoder (VAE)-based diagnostic model is applied to detect the existence of the diseases. The performance validation of the HBESDM-DLD model takes place on benchmark medical dataset and the results are inspected under various performance measures. The experimental results proves that the HBESDM-DLD methodology is superior to state-of-the-art methods.
