Abstract
Mycotoxins pollution is a global concern, and can pose a serious threat to human health. People and livestock eating contaminated food will encounter acute and chronic poisoning symptoms, such as carcinogenicity, acute hepatitis, and a weakened immune system. In order to prevent or reduce the exposure of human beings and livestock to mycotoxins, it is necessary to screen mycotoxins in different foods efficiently, sensitively, and selectively. Proper sample preparation is very important for the separation, purification, and enrichment of mycotoxins from complex matrices. This review provides a comprehensive summary of mycotoxins pretreatment methods since 2017, including traditionally used methods, solid-phase extraction (SPE)-based methods, liquid-liquid extraction (LLE)-based methods, matrix solid phase dispersion (MSPD), QuEChERS, and so on. The novel materials and cutting-edge technologies are systematically and comprehensively summarized. Moreover, we discuss and compare the pros and cons of different pretreatment methods and suggest a prospect.

Abstract
Periodic mesoporous organosilicas (PMO) hydrophilic microspheres were synthesized by co-condensation of sulfated polysaccharide from Lilum lancifolium Thunb. bridged silane (SLLTPBS) and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) as stationary phase (PMO(SLLTP-POSS)) for per aqueous liquid chromatography (PALC), which would overcome the disadvantages of using a large amount of acetonitrile on the hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) columns. Average particle size of PMO (SLLTP-POSS) microspheres was 4.9 μm, which was suitable for stationary phase. The retention mechanism of the stationary phase in PALC was mainly hydrophobic interactions and also included some ion-exchange interactions and electrostatic interactions. The acid-base resistance was greatly improved compared to the C18 column. The PMO(SLLTP-POSS) column under PALC mode had increased the resolution when separating some hydrophilic compounds such as eight organic acids and eleven sweeteners compared with the C18 column and HILIC column. The new column was more efficient than the HILIC columns. Additionally, a PALC-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry approach for the simultaneous identification of the eleven sweeteners was developed. The averagere coveries of the eleven compounds were 70.20%-91.33% with the relative standard deviation (RSD) range of 1.74% to 4.27%. The results showed good precision and accuracy of the method.

Abstract
An efficient adsorbent was synthesized and used in magnetic dispersive solid phase extraction (MDSPE) of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, and G2 at trace levels in pistachio prior to analysis by HPLC equipped with a fluorescence detector. Spirulina (Sp) algae was first magnetized, followed by surface modification with dopamine (Dp). The adsorbent was characterized using FT-IR, XRD, FE-SEM, EDX, VSM, and BET analyses. The effects of different analytical parameters on the extraction performance were evaluated. Under optimal conditions, good limits of detection (LODs) and quantifications (LOQs) were achieved in the ranges of 0.02-0.07 and 0.06-0.21 ng g-1, respectively. The RSDs were 5.9, 6.3, 5.6, and 7.3% for AFB1, G1, B2, and G2, respectively. The proposed method was successfully used to determine AFs in pistachio samples and acceptable recoveries in the range of 72-95% were obtained.

Abstract
The paper describes a theoretical analysis of the adsorption of nicotinamide and propranolol onto a magnetic-activated carbon (MAC). For a better evaluation of the adsorption mechanism, adsorption isotherms expressing the variation of the adsorption capacity as function of adsorbate concentration were determined at different temperatures ranging from 20 to 45 °C. For both the analytes, experimental tests reveal that adsorption capacity increases with temperature. An advanced multi-layer model derived from the statistical physics is set for the interpretation of the entire adsorption data set. The modelling results show that the propranolol molecules change their adsorption orientation from a mixed (parallel and non-parallel) orientation to a multimolecular process. For nicotinamide, the aggregation of molecules is practically absent, except for the data at lower temperatures. The model allows stating that the adsorption of both the pharmaceutical compounds occurs via the formation of one or two layers on MAC adsorbent, the propranolol showing a higher tendency to form multiple layers. Finally, adsorption energy is estimated suggesting that the adsorption is endothermic and physical interactions are the responsible of the adsorption of both the compounds onto MAC adsorbent.
