Abstract
The Fructus cannabis protein extract powder (FP), was firstly used as a green and high effective corrosion inhibitor through a simple water-extraction method. The composition and surface property of FP were characterized by FTIR, LC/MS, UV, XPS, water contact angle and AFM force-curve measurements. Results indicate that FP contains multiply functional groups, such as NH, CO, CN, CO, etc. The adsorption of FP on the carbon steel surface makes it higher hydrophobicity and adhesion force. The corrosion inhibition performance of FP was researched by electrochemical impedance, polarization curve and differential capacitance curve. Moreover, the inhibitive stability of FP, and the effects of temperature and chloride ion on its inhibition property were also investigated. The above results indicate that the FP exhibits excellent corrosion inhibition efficiency (~98 %), and possesses certain long-term inhibitive stability with inhibition efficiency higher than 90 % after 240 h immersion in 1 M HCl solution. The high temperature brings about the FP desorption on the carbon steel surface, while high concentration of chloride ion facilitates the FP adsorption. The adsorption mechanism of FP follows the Langmuir isotherm adsorption. This work will provide an insight for protein as a green corrosion inhibitor.

Abstract
Generally, single organic or inorganic inhibitors could effectively inhibit corrosion for metallic materials; however, there are rarely reports about the hybrid corrosion inhibitors consisting of organic and inorganic inhibitors. Thus, in this work, we synthesize a hybrid environment-friendly water-soluble corrosion inhibitor (Sb quantum dots) containing Sb, Sb2O3, Sb2O4, and carbon using the electrochemical exfoliation method. The inhibition effectiveness in short- and long-term immersion tests is measured using electrochemical methods, weight loss, and surface analysis. The results exhibit that the corrosion inhibition efficiency sensitively relates to the concentration of Sb quantum dots (SQDs), which achieves the largest value as the concentration of SQDs increases to 200 mg/L. Atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and contact angle analysis reveal that the SQDs well-disperse on and cover the Q235 steel surface at 200 mg/L. According to the Langmuir adsorption data, the physicochemical adsorption and effective antioxidation of SQDs on the passivated Q235 steel surface are in charge of the effective corrosion inhibition efficiency in 0.5 M H2SO4 solution.

Expired Chicken Egg-White Extract’s Adsorption Behavior As a Corrosion Inhibitor for Carbon Steel in 1M HCl. J CHEM-NY 2021. Abstract
The inhibitory activity of the expired egg-white carbon steel (CS) extract in HCl solution was studied in this article. The extract was examined using FT-IR, and the surface was examined using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). Weight loss techniques at various temperatures were used to examine corrosion investigations (298, 308, 318, and 328 K), concentrations (100, 200, 400, and 800 mg. L−1) of extracts, and electrochemical measurements (potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) and impedance spectroscopy (EIS) at 25°C and different concentrations. Results. Results obtained through EIS demonstrated a maximal inhibition efficiency of 90% at an inhibitor concentration of 800 mg. L−1. Moreover, the findings of the potentiodynamic polarization indicated that egg-white extract was a mixed type of inhibitor and slowed down both cathodic and anodic reactions. For weight loss analysis, an inhibitory potency (89, 83, 77, and 71%) at various temperatures (298, 308, 318, and 328 K) was demonstrated, respectively. It indicates that the temperature rise contributes to a decrease in the resistance of the carbon steel. The adsorption of the expired egg-white extract was spontaneous with physisorption and chemisorption according to the Langmuir isotherm model, according to adsorption isotherm studies.

Abstract
Molecular modelling of organic compounds using computational software has emerged as a powerful approach for theoretical determination of the corrosion inhibition potential of organic compounds. Some of the common techniques involved in the theoretical studies of corrosion inhibition potential and mechanisms include density functional theory (DFT), molecular dynamics (MD) and Monte Carlo (MC) simulations, and artificial neural network (ANN) and quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) modeling. Using computational modelling, the chemical reactivity and corrosion inhibition activities of organic compounds can be explained. The modelling can be regarded as a time-saving and eco-friendly approach for screening organic compounds for corrosion inhibition potential before their wet laboratory synthesis would be carried out. Another advantage of computational modelling is that molecular sites responsible for interactions with metallic surfaces (active sites or adsorption sites) and the orientation of organic compounds can be easily predicted. Using different theoretical descriptors/parameters, the inhibition effectiveness and nature of the metal-inhibitor interactions can also be predicted. The present review article is a collection of major advancements in the field of computational modelling for the design and testing of the corrosion inhibition effectiveness of organic corrosion inhibitors.

Abstract
In this paper, the simple and low-cost water extraction way was used to acquisition Betel leaves extracts (BLE). The water as the extraction solvent has the characteristics of low price, environmentally friendly, and good solubility for other extraction solvents. BLE was researched as an environmental-friendly inhibitor via various experimental methods and theoretical calculations. Electrochemical experiments manifest that BLE can restrain reactions of the cathode and anode of Q235 steel. The BLE concentration was 400 mg/L, the anti-corrosion efficiency was close to 94%. The experimental data show that BLE can show high-quality anti-corrosion nature for Q235 steel immersing in 1 M hydrochloric acid (HCl) environment at a certain temperature range. The morphology maps of scanning electron microscope (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) strongly proves the data of electrochemical experiments. In addition, the BLE adsorption at the Q235 steel surface belongs to the Langmuir mono-layer adsorption. Quantum chemical calculations (QCC) and molecular dynamics simulations (MDS) effectually manifest that BLE can show decent anti corrosion character.
