Abstract
The research investigates the cytotoxic effects of the stable NH-form of a resorcinol-based Schiff base (HL) and its metal complexes (Zn(II), Cd(II), Cu(II), Ni(II)) on MCF-7 breast cancer cells. The structural characterization was conducted utilizing diverse analytical techniques, including mass spectrometry, elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic moment, UV-Vis, IR and ESR. The crystalline state analysis of HL through X-ray crystallography disclosed a hybrid structure comprising two canonical forms, specifically the quinoid and zwitterion, that contribute to resonance and diverse interactions, resulting in the development of a three-dimensional form. NMR, IR and ESR analyses showed that the HL was bidentate, using the oxygen of the hydroxyl and the nitrogen atom of azomethine, bonded to the metal center during complexation. The study explored the cytotoxic effects of HL and the various metal complexes on MCF-7 human breast cancer cells. All complexes display significant cytotoxicity (IC50 < 38.37 μM). The activity of the complexes was greater than that of the free ligand, with the Cu(II) complex followed by Zn(II) demonstrated superior cytotoxicity compared to Cd(II), and Ni(II) complexes. Notably, the Cu(II) and Zn(II) complex exhibited approximately 13.2 and 12.9 times greater cytotoxicity than the 5-F Uracil (5-FU) cancer drug. An MTT assay corroborated the antiproliferative activity. The molecular docking study has been performed for all compounds with the aromatase cytochrome P450 receptor protein associated with breast cancer (PDB code = 3eqm). ADME drug likeness model has been done.

Abstract
In this study, thrombin was immobilized with magnetic particles modified by glutaraldehyde. The changes in secondary structures of immobilized enzyme revealed an increment in conformational rigidity and stability, which can be reflected in temperature and pH stability as well as the tolerance of organic reagents. The optimal reutilization times of magnetic particle immobilized thrombin were 7 times, and the half-life of enzyme activity preserved at room temperature was 5 days, which was 2.5 times higher than that of free enzyme. Ligusticum chuanxiong and Anemarrhenae Rhizoma with high enzyme inhibitory activity were selected for primary screening, and six potential inhibitors of thrombin were identified by HPLC/MS. The results showed that three compounds in Anemarrhenae Rhizoma had better predictive thrombin inhibitory activity. Through the in vitro thrombin activity inhibition experiment, it was also verified that mangiferin and neo-mangiferin had an ideal thrombin activity inhibition effect, which was consistent with the results of molecular docking.

Abstract
Recent studies show that some metal ions, injure microbial cells in various ways due to membrane breakdown, protein malfunction, and oxidative stress. Metal complexes are suited for creating novel antibacterial medications due to their distinct mechanisms of action and the variety of three-dimensional geometries they can acquire. In this Perspective, the present study focused on new antibacterial strategies based on metal oleoyl amide complexes. Thus, oleoyl amides ligand (fatty hydroxamic acid and fatty hydrazide hydrate) with the transition metal ions named Ag (I), Co (II), Cu (II), Ni (II) and Sn (II) complexes were successfully synthesized in this study. The metals- oleoyl amide were characterized using elemental analysis, and fourier transforms infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The antibacterial effect of metals- oleoyl amide complexes was investigated for Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli) and Gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) by analysing minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that metal-oleoyl amide complexes have high antibacterial activity at low concentrations. This study inferred that metal oleoyl amide complexes could be utilised as a promising therapeutic antibacterial agent.

Abstract
In this study, Schiff bases were synthesized by utilizing the reaction of 4- and 5-aminoindane with substituted benzaldehydes. After the reduction of isolated Schiff bases with NaBH4 , the corresponding secondary amine derivatives were obtained. The structures of all synthesized molecules were confirmed by 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR, FT-IR, and ESI-MS. Antioxidant activities of all synthesized molecules were investigated by DPPH method, and IC50 values were calculated. In addition, antibacterial activities of targets were investigated by the well diffusion method, and then MIC99 values were calculated. While only four of the sixteen synthesized molecules showed a high level of antioxidant activity, all of the molecules exhibited biological activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria to varying degrees. In addition, all the synthesized molecules showed high antifungal activity. In antioxidant capacity studies, the IC50 values of 2-(((2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-5-yl)amino)methyl)-6-methoxyphenol (4 d) and 2-(((2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-4-yl)amino)methyl)-6-methoxyphenol (7 d) were determined to be 18.1 μg and 35.1 μg, respectively, and these values are much stronger than BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) and BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole) used as positive controls. The fact that targets have the same core structure with different substituents has revealed a good structure-activity relationship.

Abstract
Four dinuclear bismuth(III) Schiff-base complexes bearing Schiff-base ligands have been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, and spectral techniques (FT-IR, NMR and MS). The analytical data reveal the bismuth(III) complexes possess 1:1 metal-ligand ratios. In vitro biological studies have revealed that bismuth(III) complexes displayed much higher antibacterial and antitumor activities than their parent ligands, which involves two gram-negative (S. aureus, B. subtili) and two gram-positive (E. coli, P. aeruginosa) bacteria, and human gastric cancer SNU-16 cells. The power-time curves of S. pombe exposed to tested compounds were detected by bio-microcalorimetry. Some thermokinetic parameters (k, Pmax,tG and Qtotal) were derived based on the metabolic power-time curves, and their quantitative relationships with the concentrations (c) were further discussed.
