Abstract
In the present study, a novel coordination polymer (CP) based on Ni(II), namely, [Ni(L)(D-CAM)(H2O)]n (1) (H2D-CAM = (1R,3S)-1,2,2-trimethylcyclopentane-1,3-dicarboxylic acid and L = 3,6-bis(benzimidazol-1-yl)pyridazine), has been produced successfully through applying a mixed ligand synthesis method via reacting Ni(NO3)2·6H2O with 3,6-bis(benzimidazol-1-yl)pyridazine ligand in the presence of a carboxylic acid co-ligand. Hyaluronic acid (HA) and carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS) are representatives of natural polysaccharides and have good biocompatibility. Based on the chemical synthesis method, HA/CMCS hydrogel was successfully prepared. SEM showed that the lyophilized gel presented a typical macroporous structure with three-dimensional connected pores, which had unique advantages as a drug carrier. Using paclitaxel as a drug model, we further synthesized a novel paclitaxel-loaded metal gel and evaluated its therapeutic effect on cervical cancer. Finally, novel drugs from the reinforcement learning simulation are suggested to have better biological activity against ovarian cancer due to low affinity energy and stronger interaction strength towards the protein receptor.

Abstract
In this study, a novel dinuclear lanthanide complex, denoted as [Ho2(L)2(acac)2(CH3OH)2]·CH3OH (1) (where H2L is 2-[((4-methyl)-2-(carboxyl)-imino)]methyl]-8-hydroxyquinoline, and Hacac is acetylacetonate), was successfully synthesized and characterized using single-crystal and elemental analysis, with the auxiliary ligand β-diketonate and the 8-hydroxyquinoline Schiff base derivative serving as the foundation. Through ligand-to-metal charge transfer, Compound 1 demonstrated remarkable green fluorescence properties, showcasing potential applications in green fluorescence materials and fluorescence sensing. Additionally, Hyaluronic Acid (HA)/Carboxymethyl Chitosan (CMCS) hydrogels were synthesized through a chemical method. Utilizing captopril as a drug model, a novel metal gel granule of captopril was developed and assessed for its inhibitory activity against glioma cells. Molecular docking simulations revealed that only the methanol group in the Ho complex could contribute a polar atom for the formation of binding interactions.

Abstract
The present study examines whether there is a mechanism beyond the current concept of post-translational modifications to regulate the function of a protein. A small gas molecule, hydrogen sulfide (H2S), was found to bind at active-site copper of Cu/Zn-SOD using a series of methods including radiolabeled binding assay, X-ray absorption near-edge structure (XANES), and crystallography. Such an H2S binding enhanced the electrostatic forces to guide the negatively charged substrate superoxide radicals to the catalytic copper ion, changed the geometry and energy of the frontier molecular orbitals of the active site, and subsequently facilitated the transfer of an electron from the superoxide radical to the catalytic copper ion and the breakage of the copper-His61 bridge. The physiological relevance of such an H2S effect was also examined in both in vitro and in vivo models where the cardioprotective effects of H2S were dependent on Cu/Zn-SOD.

Abstract
Three uranyl acylpyrazolone complexes [UO2(PCBPMP)2(CH3CH2OH)] (complex I), [UO2(PCBMCPMP)2(CH3CH2OH)] (complex II), and [UO2(PCBPTMP)2(CH3CH2OH)] (complex III) were synthesized from σ-donating acypyrazolone ligands to analyze their sequence of covalent characteristics, reactivity, and redox properties (PCBPMP: p-chlorobenzoyl 1-phenyl 3-methyl 5-pyrazolone; PCBMCPMP: p-chlorobenzoyl 1-(m-chlorophenyl) 3-methyl 5-pyrazolone; PCBPTMP: p-chlorobenzoyl 1-(p-tolyl) 3-methyl 5-pyrazolone). An examination of the structure, pentagonal bipyramidal geometry, and composition of these complexes was conducted mainly through their single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) data, 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) δ-values, plots of thermogravimetric-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), significant Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) vibrations, gravimetric estimation, and molar conductivity values. The covalency order was found to be complex II > III > I, which mainly depends on values of stretching frequencies, average bond lengths of axial uranyl bonds, values of average bond lengths on the pentagonal equatorial plane, solvent coordination on the fifth site of a pentagonal plane, and the type of aryl group on the nitrogen of the pyrazolone ring. This was confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy and single-crystal spectral characterization. To verify experimental results by comparison with theoretical results, density functional theory (DFT) calculations were carried out, which further gives evidence for the covalency order through theoretical frequencies and the gap of highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO)-lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energies. Theoretical bond properties were also examined by the identification of global index parameters. Intermolecular noncovalent surface interactions were studied by the Hirshfeld surface analysis. The irreversible redox behavior of uranyl species was identified through electrochemical cyclic voltammetry-differential pulse voltammetry (CV-DPV) plot analysis.

Abstract
Co(II)- and Zn(II)-related coordination polymers (CPs): [Co(OPBT)(GA)]n (1) and {[Zn2TTPA(GA)2] · 2H2O}n (2), where TTPA represents tris(4-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)phenyl)amine) and OPBT represents
1.1′-(oxybis(1,4-phenylene))bis(1H-1,2,4-triazole), were prepared through mixed-ligand synthesis. The raw materials were flexible glutaric acid (H2GA) with Co(II)/Zn(II) nitrate salts, TTPA, and bi- and tritopic 1,2,4-disparate triazole derivatives. The application value of
the CPs in orthodontic root resorption repair was evaluated, and their relevant mechanisms were explored. ELISA assay was used in determining the content of tumor necrosis factor-α released in the gingiva groove. Then, real time RT-PCR was utilized in assessing whether the nuclear
factor kappa-B inflammatory activity was activated. Additionally, the CCK-8 method was used in investigating positive effects on osteoblast proliferation. Finally, the expression of the wnt protein in osteoblasts was detected with Western blotting assay.

Abstract
In situ hydrolysis of 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (L) and simultaneous self-assembly with Cu(II) ions afforded a new Cu(II) compound formulated as [Cu(L) (4,4′-bpy)0.5(H2O)]n (1), which is structurally determined by a series of characterization techniques, such as powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), and elemental analysis. It is noteworthy that compound 1 can catalyze the degradation of methylene blue (MB) in aqueous solution under UV irradiation. This paper also investigated and evaluated its application value and research mechanism in gastric cancer. However, we also used real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to detect the activation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling pathway, and Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) method was used to calculate the inhibition activity of 1 on gastric cancer cell viability.

Abstract
In the current work, through applying the mixed-ligand generation method, [Bi4Cl8(PDC)2 (2,2′-bpy)4]·2MeCN (1), a fresh bismuth (III)-organic compound synthesized with the solvothermal reactions between 2,2′-bipyridine (2,2′-bpy); 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (H2PDC); and bismuth chloride. The structural characterization results show that complex 1 features a binuclear discrete structure which is further extended into a 1D chain–like supramolecular network via π–π interactions. Furthermore, the compound’s treatment and nursing application values on pediatric pneumonia was explored and the novel compound’s corresponding mechanism was also investigated. First of all, in our research, the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection kit was employed for the determination of the inflammatory cytokines content released into alveolar lavage fluid. Subsequently, the adenosine 5‘-monophosphate (AMP)–activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling pathway activation in alveolar epithelial cells was explored exploiting the real-time reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Molecular docking demonstrated that although multiple pyridine rings are presented in the Bi complex, however, only the carboxylate groups have been observed to interact with the active residues.
