Abstract
Plant growth and development are correlated with many aspects, including phytohormones, which have specific functions. However, the mechanism underlying the process has not been well elucidated. Gibberellins (GAs) play fundamental roles in almost every aspect of plant growth and development, including cell elongation, leaf expansion, leaf senescence, seed germination, and leafy head formation. The central genes involved in GA biosynthesis include GA20 oxidase genes (GA20oxs), GA3oxs, and GA2oxs, which correlate with bioactive GAs. The GA content and GA biosynthesis genes are affected by light, carbon availability, stresses, phytohormone crosstalk, and transcription factors (TFs) as well. However, GA is the main hormone associated with BR, ABA, SA, JA, cytokinin, and auxin, regulating a wide range of growth and developmental processes. DELLA proteins act as plant growth suppressors by inhibiting the elongation and proliferation of cells. GAs induce DELLA repressor protein degradation during the GA biosynthesis process to control several critical developmental processes by interacting with F-box, PIFS, ROS, SCLl3, and other proteins. Bioactive GA levels are inversely related to DELLA proteins, and a lack of DELLA function consequently activates GA responses. In this review, we summarized the diverse roles of GAs in plant development stages, with a focus on GA biosynthesis and signal transduction, to develop new insight and an understanding of the mechanisms underlying plant development.

Abstract
Fusarium head blight is one of the most serious diseases caused by Fusarium graminearum in wheat. Here, we developed a new way to prevent and control Fusarium head blight by introducing the resistance genes Fhb1 and Fhb7 into the endophytic fungus Phomopsis liquidambaris, named PL-Fhb1 and PL-Fhb7, respectively, which could colonize wheat. The wheat seedlings were preinoculated with PL-Fhb1 and PL-Fhb7 to enhance the resistance against deoxynivalenol (DON) and PL-Fhb1 and PL-Fhb7 inhibited the growth of F. graminearum by 73% and 49%, respectively. The incidence rate of diseased spikes decreased to 35.2% and 45.4%, and the corresponding DON levels for wheat grains decreased from 13.2 to 1.79 μg/g and from 13.2 μg/g to 0.39 μg/g when the leaves were preinoculated with PL-Fhb1 and PL-Fhb7 after overwintering, respectively. The incidence rates of diseased spikes decreased to 25.7% and 34.7%, and the DON levels for wheat grains decreased from 17.48 μg/g to 1.23 μg/g and from 17.48 μg/g to 0 μg/g when the wheat flowers were inoculated with PL-Fhb1 and PL-Fhb7, and the wheat flowers were subsequently infected with F. graminearum, respectively. It was confirmed that DON was transformed into DON-glutathione (GSH) by PL-Fhb7 using high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS). However, PL-Fhb1 may have increased plant immunity and enhanced the resistance to F. graminearum. This study indicates that engineered endophytes can improve the resistance to Fusarium head blight and presents a new method for the biological control of Fusarium head blight.

Effects of nanocarbon solution treatment on the nutrients and glucosinolate metabolism in broccoli. Food Chem X 2022; 15:100429. Abstract
Nanocarbon application could enhance the total protein in broccoli, directly. 18.75 L·ha−1 nanocarbon solution greatly increase 22.9 % of glucoraphanin. Nanocarbon solution obviously reduces 4 indolic glucosinolate productions. Nanocarbon has great great impact on glucosinolate biosynthesis and pathway.
The effects of a nanocarbon solution on the nutrients, glucosinolate metabolism and glucoraphanin pathway in broccoli were investigated. Significant positive linear relationships were observed between the nanocarbon solution and total protein yield, although effects on the soluble sugars, vitamin C and dry matter production were not observed. All nanocarbon solutions significantly increased the glucoraphanin content (p < 0.05), and the 18.75 L·ha−1 nanocarbon solution maximally increased the glucoraphanin content by 22.9 %. However, these treatments also significantly reduced the contents of glucobrassicin, 4-methoxyglucobrassicin, 4-hydroxyglucobrassicin and neoglucobrassicin. Further research demonstrated that the 18.75 L·ha−1 nanocarbon solution significantly upregulated the MAM1, IPMI2, CYP79F1, FMOgs-ox2, AOP2, and TGG1 expression levels, which directly resulted in the accumulation of glucoraphanin and glucoerucin. This study provides insights into the prospective nanotechnological approaches for developing efficient and environmentally friendly nanocarbon solution for use on crops.

Abstract
Over the years, jasmonates (JAs) have become recognized as one of the main plant hormones that regulate stress responses by activating defense programs and the production of specialized metabolites. High JA levels have been associated with reduced plant growth, supposedly as a result of the reallocation of carbon sources from primary growth to the biosynthesis of defense compounds. Recent advances suggest however that tight regulatory networks integrate several sensing pathways to steer plant metabolism, and thereby drive the trade-off between growth and defense. In this review, we discuss how JA influences primary metabolism and how it is connected to light-regulated processes, nutrient sensing and energy metabolism. Finally, we speculate that JA, in a conceptual parallelism with adrenaline for humans, overall boosts cellular processes to keep up with an increased metabolic demand during harsh times.
